Before The Sun Goes Down

When parent child or friend fails
to meet support our expectations
looses temper in a fit of anger ripe...
how do we swiftly restore previous
friendly social interactive harmony?

To restore former cordial relationships
is best done before the sun goes down
before time night stews seals disgruntled
anger ripe caused for disparity reasons
heal rage rift while yet there remains time.

Violent Rage

I have been in a violent rage since the day that I was born
First it began when from my mother that I was violently torn
And then from that day that loss of innocence I still do mourn
I am truly the innocent, and at the world I do scorn.

Violence it is with me wherever that I might be
Where friendship is another man's drink, rage is my cup of tea
People enjoy to anger as though that is there strategy
And rage is that result, and the victim is always me.

I think about my past and the major events in my life
My first kiss, my first hug, my siblings and even my wife
But then those events brought me anger and hate and also strife
I was used and abused, cheated on and then stabbed by their knife.

When I wake up in the morning anger is on my mind
And when I go to bed at night my temper is all that I can find
I think of my rage which was caused by friends not being kind
How I wish that my peace and solitude was never left behind.

My life is filled with its outrages, anger and its wrath
I wish now that when I was walking I had taken a more peaceful path
Seems as though I have walked that road for years if correctly I did my math
How I wish that my rage could be removed, as simply by taking a bath.

I am now so tired my body is so old and worn
I wish again and again, I never came out that September morn
My mother was the rose and I indeed was her thorn
How I wish and pray many times over, that I could of been reborn.

Sonnet: On Anger

Remember Man that Anger is futile!
Restrain your temper bad when ‘fumes’ arise;
Apologize if guilty, in high style,
And write your Anger off or play it nice.

Mere counting helps to dissipate Anger;
But slamming doors and raving mad aren’t right;
Poetry puts the ‘plane’ into hanger!
When Anger comes, Man loses his insight.

The more you write, the stinging tone gets less;
The balls you smash will fall away off-court;
Painting, cartooning help Anger harness;
Just hold your temper making it your forte!

An action rash in angry mood too fails;
When calm returns, a better sense prevails.

Re-route for Love

It is said that people
Can't make you mad.
that was not said of granddad's.

Children who are lazy or just plain slow
Add fire to anger as they go.
Love prevails most of the time,

Keeping your anger from crime.
Do this! do that!
over and over...

While the children are getting phat,
From food that they never buy
And if you ask them....they ask why?

Makes a grown person want to cry.
Not doing...and they are not shy,
They rush up and out of bed...

Marching right pass what the parent
Has said.
Both hands out...

When either is filled they want to pout.
Then the parent wants to shout...
But the parent,

Remembering no one can make you mad...
Damn! being a real parent is so sad.
Do this! do that!

While they re-act as if they are a slave,
And all the while sending the parent to his or her grave.
They are only... ask to repeat a smalltask...

But inside they wonder why they are asked.
That is when the real parent stands tall
It is not the anger but the love of it all...

God gave us free will
And we know not to kill...
But to chill.

Anger does not pay

Anger is red danger
But a familiar stranger

So It came as no surprise
At the times I have paid the price
More than the usual thrice
Before becoming very wise

The judge said
I should have been put in a cage
If one considers all the damage
I brought on with my rage

I knew
My anger was unreasonable
My anger was invincible
My anger was uncontrollable
But still very reversible

You see
In anger I always surrender
To the pressure I am under

In anger, I ungraciously lose
To the one I righteously accuse

In anger, I immoderately protest
Instead of letting things rest
Then trying responsibly to digest
And deal with issues best

So I say, So I say
Anger does not pay
Anger does not stay
Delay it from display
In time it will only go away

Now I know that
Anger does not pay
Anger does not stay
Calmness you should play
Before you begin to fall astray

Anger fills my heart and soul

Anger fills my heart and soul
Anger takes a mighty toll
Anger lessens but can never leave
Anger you hope to never receive,
Anger stays forever within
Anger acts with the might of all sin
Anger is deadly to all around
Anger gets mad at the thought of sound
Anger is the thoughts in my head
Anger that’s mine all should dread
Anger for me is different from you
Anger you see tells me what to do
Anger will sit and whisper in my ear
Anger he sits and tells me all that you fear,

Anger…
He is here
He’s here to stay
Anger is the hole
In which we lay
Anger is
And Anger will
Always be with us

He is in me, and he is in you
He can make you do
What he wants you to
Anger will make you
Make you cry
Anger can make you
Want to die
Anger can make you
Go insane
Anger….. ... A blood filled rain
No more anger
No more…..
Walk to the bright light
Shinning through that door…
Not knowing what’s in store
But even then
Anger lives on
But you… nevermore

Gnawing Anger

She sat looking at me,
Not listening to a word.
Every time we talked, she
Said my opinion was absurd—
You should have seen my face;
The anger I showed was a disgrace.

For years, I have lived with such anger,
Gnawing anger, the kind that lingers
Like roadkill. To be sure, I am not stranger
To rage. Its long bony fingers
Have touched my heart many times,
Urging me to commit heinous crimes.

But to blame anyone for my rage is unjust.
No one is responsible for my fury,
Though I may think so, my eyesight is simply blurry
Anger is seeking a new slave;
As for me, I’d rather be brave,
Before anger puts me deep down in a grave.

New Anger

New anger came across the dull, brown yard
New anger trotted up the stone steps
New anger rang the bell

Hello new anger
I can come out to play
But I might not be the friend you’re hoping for
I might become undone
Upset

And you will wish you had not asked
Me to be your friend

New anger you had better stay away
Go home new anger
Loneliness is better than remorse

My Anger

My anger wants to kill.
My anger wants to spill.
My anger wants to smash a wall.
My anger wants to make someone feel small.
My anger makes me carve my skin.
My anger is locked up within.
My anger is fierce and fatal.
My anger isn't stable.
When my anger is out stay away.
Because my anger destroys everything in its way.

Personal wish

I was taught by parents not to hate or make any mention
They were right in their thinking with full assertion
Since then it has remained as my personal wish
I wanted the life to pass on easily and finish

So many times I had rough time with friends
There were altercation and scuffle at the end
It was making me bad as not good companion
Even though we advocated cause and were champion

We all decided to bury the differences
We had drawn lesson and inference
It was always good to think positive
Even though one can always remain subjective

When fire rages from within
It does not let any thing in
The anger and hatred can be visibly seen
No one would love to see your face or very keen

It is not going to serve any good
This fact must be clearly understood
Even your comments may worsen it further
It will add to tension and force you to bother

The stage is arrived with failure or frustration
It may always hunt you with big question
It may not only spoil the relation
But break the existing bond in excitation

You will loose the support from close relatives
Friends too may desert you in time of needs
You will left in isolation and avoided
They will boycott you in case decided

The relation will not be restored that easily
It may leave you in dejection and make wearily
No one has benefited from the continuous rage
It will be difficult to sustain and manage

Sometimes irrational statements make things worse
It can not improved upon even you express remorse
It will push you to the backward seat
There will not be cordial relation when you will greet

The river looses its reputation of being mother when in spate
Even though people pray her and consider as simple fate
Such is the case with anger and hate when take place
No good amount of efforts can remedy it or replace

What is good in keeping the temper cool?
It prevents you from acting as fool
Since it is performed in stage of not having brakes
It will vitiate the cordial relation and break

We must learn to live with balanced approach
Many a times we may have to pass through as such
It will be nice if we are able to stave off the situation
Rest all can be brought under control without further aggravation

For Those Who Cannot Say

'for those who cannot say they are sorry
our saying we are sure they are sorry
may not be enough to restore social divide...'

on appropriate occasions thus we may quietly

say your father mother sister brother friend
is sorry in front of him her nothing more
change subject neat then smoothly quickly...

families friends when simmering disgruntled tired
may say unfortunate things when upset moody
many an inappropriate comment is made grumpy...

Prayer Against Anger

• Spirit of anger, hear the Word of the Lord my God come out of me.
I raise the standard of the blood of Jesus against you, in the name of
Jesus.
• Lord God, I surrender my emotions unto Your control. Put anger far
away from me, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, give me the grace to be long-suffering and
slow to anger. Give me the forgiving spirit to be able to tolerate
others, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, change my behavior to embrace tenderhearted
feelings, kindness, a gentle mind, and patience. Give me the power
to endure all that comes my way with a different temperament, in
the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, give me the grace to expect nothing from
people and depend on You as the Great Provider. Continue to direct
and revive me, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, give me the eye to see people as You see them;
I pray I will not label anyone in a way You have not labeled them.
You will label me as the child of the Most High God, in the name of
Jesus.

to be angry, in the name of Jesus.

I find myself in. Restore me at once for Your glory, and let it be well
with me, in the name of Jesus.

anger, in the name of Jesus.
• I pray, instead of being angry, I will act in love, in the name of
Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, give me the grace to control my anger, calm
my nerves, cool my temper, and bury my wrath, in the name of
Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, give me the spirit of forgiveness as an antidote
for bitterness, wrath, and anger, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, keep me away from anger, the mother of
destruction and failure, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, help me, and take away anger from my life,
in the name of Jesus.
• The end of anger has come in my life, and I am free forever in Jesus’s
name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

Adding Fuel To The Flame

When we play into the hands of anothers anger
We are only adding fuel to their flame.
And if it continues to burn out of control
Then who but yourself is really to blame?

It's what true anger feeds off!
Another's piling on more dry wood!
To fuel anger's flames my friend
Brings nothing but burnt feelings, not good!

Walk away, or snuff it's fire out!
Before it rages way out of control!
It is the only way you'll win anger's rage!
That battle of the fiery sparks one throws!

Anger And Jealousy

Anger and jealousy are siblings both self destructive in their own way
Of the damage they give rise to we hear and read of every day
In assaults and murder and every violent sort of crime
So many people because of them in prison serving time
Anger and jealousy to assertiveness different in every way
That only does seem a fair thing to say
Those who are assertive speak with a clear mind
To outbursts of anger they are not inclined
Jealousy and anger out of control
Blocks out the light from the windows of the soul
Non human friendly that cannot be denied
Worse flaws by far than even arrogance and pride
To violence and crimes against others they do lead
Anger and jealousy are siblings indeed

Anger

Beware of Anger
It is just one letter short of Danger,
Anger present in one's soul
Destructs the body and mind as a whole,
In anger you act foolishly in a fit of rage
Which then creates a very bad image,
Unknowingly you happen to hurt someone
Thereby spoiling all the life's fun,
So do not create place for Anger
In your heart, mind or soul,
For once it settles in you
You are liked by very few,
So try to remain calm & act cool
And do not make yourselves a fool,
You can try this as nothing is impossible
As the word ‘impossible' itself says I'm possible,
So next time if anger resides in your hearts room
Throw it out & see how your life will bloom!

So Angry, so Sad

Anger is a form of fear
Anger is a force that can never die
Anger building up
Anger is a virus
Anger is a like vicious circle it goes,
around and around
Anger,
The root of all evil
Anger is such a strong emotion
So angry,
So sad
Anger is bubbling away at me
I have good reason to be angry
No one understand,
No one cares
It tears out my heart
