I have being cogitating all afternoon
And you may think it is too soon
To feed you love with my spoon
But the ebony night shines a full moon
Taking into consideration
The obvious complications

The fact that you are a coward
Incapable of moving forward
Just trying to hold me backwards
As you hang in there in your comfort zone
Playing the field only when high on hormones
Only with love ones heart is broken
With sensitivity I need to be open

People gossip but they do not care
If outside marriage we have affairs

The aftermath brought forth no cure

This to me is simply not appealing

Upon which you place egoistic restrictions
This is a tender situation
I need to take into consideration

And if I decide to let you go
It will hurt me slow by slow
In time the pain will go not grow
It is the right conclusion that I know
Or should I close my eyes like a fool
And pretend that everything is cool
While you use me as a comfort tool
Until my eyes open and I refuse your rules

Lovely To Look At
The elegant lady who felt like a queen
was lovely to look at,
lovely when seen.
People adored her wherever she went.
She received all complements
when ere they were sent
with dignity and propiety
for all that it meant.

When will I be Loved
I’m in my late thirties now and in all these years I have never felt loved.
Which has me now asking the question when will I be loved?
Will I be loved before all my hair turns completely grey?
Will I be loved before the sun sets this very day?
When will I be loved?
Will I be loved while I can still remember what love means?
Will I be loved tonight while I dream?
When will I be loved?
At times love has seemed close enough that I could reach out and grab it, but as I reached I realized love was not as close as it seemed.
Love is my white whale and just like Ahab the chase is driving me mad.
