Moon Goddess’s Rapture

The soft clouds of night
drift slowly across the moon
as the rhythm of the night
brings a melody of love
to the cool evening air
and kisses are stolen by lovers everywhere.

The stars dot an ebony sky
like jewels on a regal crown
while deep in the undergrowth
crickets enhance the night
as their calls mingle among
the light by a fireflies dance.

The babbling brook tells tales
to the whispering trees
of love’s romantic encounters
under the moon goddess’s rapture
that captures all in her sight
while she looks down at night.
