Pelican Restaurant
Pelican Restaurant is run by Tara Sami who is sweet,
she makes her restaurant cute and upbeat.
A cozy decor that has a quaint beach town feel,
the Pelican Restaurant makes great delicious meals.
For breakfast is the Lamb Keema which has a flavorful taste,
it comes with home fries that taste great.
Have a spinach omelet made by Chef Brian Stone,
tastes hearty like cooked fresh in the kitchen at your home.
Pelican is open 7am to 12 noon, bring a friend or two.
Even open 6 to 10 on Friday nights with Indian plates to satisfy your appetite.
Indian dishes which is out of sight, like the Lentil fritters for price of $7.95,
served with cilantro & jalapeno sauce, making your tastes buds come alive.
Try the slowly roasted marinated cilantro and ginger on the Nihan beef shank.
cooked on the bone with spicy savory curry to make it taste great.
Vegetarian and meat dishes served with yogurt, naan, and basmati rice,
this adds to your dinner to make it extra nice.
Also your dog is welcome, sit with them at a table outside,
you can enjoy your meal with them in the sunshine.
Remember the Pelican restaurant only accepts cash,
it's a great eating experience when visiting on Lake Ave.

Downtown Pizza
On Lake Ave. next to the Pelican,
you can have great dishes of Italian.
From pizza's, subs to Calzones,
they deliver, they bring it to your home.
I have a photo of Razel and Mel,
posing on the counter with a pizza smell.
I have a slice of pizza and a mountain dew,
I watch t.v. and kick off my shoes.
They have signature white pizza with Stromboli meat,
stuffed with lots of cheese, pepperoni, it's a treat.
Your dog can drink agua outside in a bowl,
while you wait for your order to go.
This is a laid back casual pizza joint,
they make great pizza and Italian dishes,
they won't disappoint.

Mr. Big Toe Goes To Pelican Restaurant with UniCandle Unicorn
Mr. Big Toe saw a flame shining bright, the waves of the ocean reflected it's light.
Mr. Big Toe knew it was UniCandle unicorn, he heard of the legend of his magical
flaming horn. UniCandle unicorn knew Mr. Big Toe lives in Lake Worth town,
so he brought him a sparkly birthday crown.
Mr. Big Toe welcomed UniCandle unicorn then Mr. Big Toe jumped on his saddled back,
UniCandle's wings opened up to fly to Pelican Restaurant really fast.
UniCandle unicorn had a coupon that expired soon,
UniCandle unicorn joined Dave's email club yesterday at noon.
UniCandle unicorn bought Mr. Big Toe a special birthday treat,
a delicious chocolate coconut banana which is really sweet!
Now UniCandle unicorn had to fly back to Krendoll again,
but he would stop back to see Mr. Big Toe who is his new found friend.

Creep Hymn
The creep
Goes to a restaurant
And order the food to eat at the restaurant
But when the food comes he eats a little bit of the food
Just so he can taste it
And he tells everybody very loud that the food that he order
Taste like shit
And then he takes the plate and throws it on the floor
But he lives the restaurant without pay
The waitress from the restaurant looks everywhere for him in the Restaurant
Sorry waitress he is gone out of the door
And he run away so that you couldn't catch him

Dave’s Restaurant
Smell of sizzling steak in the air,
people talking and laughing everywhere.
Football game on big flat screen t.v.s,
fans watching and screaming happily,
while eating hot Grilled Worth Wings.
You can order Buffalo chicken, shrimp or gator,
you can order hand cut fries or side of taters.
Dave’s has pastas with or without fish,
he even has the Islamorada fish sandwich.
Now Dave’s has a bar with cool looking stools,
you can order beer or a smoothie to stay cool.
Kid’s can even have a bite to eat,
Dave’s has kid’s menu with chicken tenders and grilled cheese.
Captain Morgan Burger, steaks and fajitas are great,
Prime rib, Mojo Pork Platter are a delicious plate.
When downtown walking on Lake Ave.,
Stop at Dave’s Restaurant for the fresh food you can have.

Campfire Meal
There is nothing like a meal
From a flaming hot campfire
It cooks the kind of food
For which you’ll never tire
A slow cooked smoky brisket
The best you ever got
Along with homemade biscuits
Cooked right in a iron pot
The beans are so hot and spicy
Your taste buds will yell hooray
The food is so delicious
I don’t know just what to say
The sweet corn and potatoes
Are cooked on the campfire too
Grab a plate and get in line
That’s just what you want to do
It’s the cowboy way of cooking
I’ll grab some firewood
Join us at the Rockin L & H
Where nothing else tastes as good!

Ever Had a Nine-course Meal?
Ever had a nine-course meal to set you on your way?
Perhaps to start, a glass of wine aside a cheese soufflé.
The second dish could be of fish, so how about Paella?
Check with Chef to see it's cooked – you don't want salmonella!
Now for the third we'll hot it up with spicy beef kebab –
You know we wouldn't want the feast to feel a little drab!
Before the fourth, you'll need a lager – taken from the keg.
And in this cooling interlude, enjoy a chocolate egg
Before the launch of number five: a roaring Indian curry –
And since our table's near the loo, you'll have no need to worry!
But now to take the heavy stuff: a whopping great lasagna;
However, this is rather special – a recipe from Romania!
Risotto makes the seventh course with red Italian wine,
Then you'll benefit from dessert, with chocolate mousse divine!
Oh - and afterwards a stretcher as we serve course number nine!

Saturday Night in Dill City
We had a night I’d like to tell about
Consisting of an extraordinary meal
The food was simply delicious
With a down-home country feel
The place in which I ordered my food
It was one it’d never have expected
It was at the Fire Extinguisher
I was not even really directed
The food was oh, so scrumptious
Hamburger steak cooked on the grill
Caramelized onions plopped on top
I can taste that flavor still
Crispy fries and freshly made salad
With dressing fit for a king
Perfect for a party
Or out for a Saturday night fling
Yes, we had a wonderful time
If we hadn’t it would have been a pity
But we did find this restaurant on
Saturday night in Dill City

Aunt Ching Chang Chung's Shark fin soup!
I like that spicy odour
As same as the wonderful taste.
That's why I peep every other day
To Shanghai bamboo Restaurant!
Migrated Aunt established here
Long ago it seems and her eldest daughter
Chung Chang's nasal song of the yin & yang
Sometimes bit annoying.
And I saw on the wall a photograph hangs,
I asked; 'Is that Comrade Mao Tse-tung? '
'O no that's my step father! '
'Where's he now? '
She replied with a Cantonese smile;
'He still watches the Chinese Great Wall! '
I left the restaurant while Aunt's cutting Pork ribs
For the steak grill.
And I think of the poet with a breath of fresh air
Tu Fu! I respect him at all.

Augustine My Great Friend
Augustine who is from another planet far away,
came to live in Minnesota one day.
City of Bemidji he did stay when young,
I never met him there for he was already gone.
He moved to New Jersey where I am from.
I didn't meet him there either,
but soon I would meet him in the sunshine state.
He has a friendly smile and good taste.
Augustine knows Spanish and he can play the guitar,
he lived in South America which is quite far.
He taught English to the military there,
he was a great teacher, even though students
fell asleep sitting in their chairs.
Augustine bought me a great Twianese brunch,
which tasted great for a lunch.
Augustine is a great friend,
he bought me some groceries when my job did end.
Augustine is a great chef,
he is Italian so he knows Italian dinners the best.
Can't wait to taste his Italian cuisine,
more fun times with Augustine.

Bloody Mary's Bora Bora
Driving up Bora Bora's hills
Cab driver told me he got the thrill
The thrill of having Chuck Norris in his cab
he lived on the island which was never drab.
I went to the restaurant Bloody Marys
where there is a sign
a sign to show you who entered that was
famous some point in time.
They told me at the bar
that Pamela Anderson was one such star-
there was a long list carved in wood
it would be great to be apart.
Then of course we took photos
by statues surrounded by plants
restaurant had a sand floor
but there was no ants.
It is at the southern tip of Pofai Bay,
it was a fun time I have to say.

Ozzie Ona the Gentleman
There is a giving gentleman I just met,
he bought me a cheese omlet for breakfast.
At the Pelican in Lake Worth,
he is very friendly and down to Earth.
He was born in the valley of Quito,
it's in Ecuador I thought you should know.
His teeth are really shiny bright white,
he ate great vegetable giving him strong bones
and muscles filled with strength and mite.
He is quite an adventurer who has traveled a lot,
he's lived in California and in North Carolina he has a spot.
Yes, in North Carolina he has a German chalet,
in the mountains where the sky is clear not grey.
He also lived in New Jersey as a graphic designer,
he says his life is blessed, it couldn't be finer.
He's semi retired and lives with his Italian wife,
in a quite ocean town and has a great life.
He rides on his red scooter all over town,
that is where you can see him with a smile not a frown.
He says I look like a princess with pretty green eyes,
He says I look like royalty in disguise.
We both agree we were in a past life,
maybe two dolphins swimming having a great time.

Eating Alone In A Chinese Restaurant
all my life i never imagine myself eating alone.
there is something detestable i think when a person eats alone.
either he is selfish to have to share a conversation with someone else
or that he is shutting himself away from this world where each must belong
to someone else, lest one can be branded as another scrooge
before Christmas, a misanthrope, a man who has no capacity to relate to
another human being, or even with a pet dog, or cat, to join him eating
in a restaurant.
i have seen some who eat alone in a Chinese restaurant, their eyes fixed on
the other customers eating alone too, sipping the bird's nest soup with the sound of a pig or a big bird, as though eating alone becomes a socially
acceptable action. I do not bother asking them, why they eat alone and look
stupid with their lonely eyes, falling faces, less hair, and protruding teeth.
then i start to eat alone by myself. I look at the passers-by one rainy day
through the glass window of the restaurant. I enjoy the noodles and the
sweet sour pork and the bottomless red tea and the jasmine rice.
i tell you, it did not take that long really to learn to live my life alone.
after you left me.
It is this eating alone in a Chinese restaurant which taught me. And now i am beginning to like it.
Sans love. Sans anybody.

Sonny Days
Driving down A1A,
I was with friend Sonny,
during very sunny days.
Playing her radio very loud,
we had a blast driving
through town.
Down, down to
Ft. Lauderdale,
where there is a
tunnel that made
me pale.
Yes, I couldn’t wait
to get to the other side,
cars coming at you,
you could not hide,
making it though and still alive,
everything feels just so fine.
At the library we did type,
getting things kicked out
like playing a melodie pipe.
Eating at a restaurant that very night,
Ft Lauderdale has changed so much in sight.
One things for sure and do say,
it was fun remembering those very
Very “Sonny Days”.

Well, I look at it like this: When you go to a restaurant, the less you know about what happens in the kitchen, the more you enjoy your meal. If the soup tastes good, everything's cool, and you don't necessarily want to know what's in it. The same thing holds true with movies.

Surprise in Japan - Mosquitos in the Oil
not so oily to the ears
mosquitos and other insects
in the used cooking oil
cooking oil for reuse
mosquitos, and insects
at bottom of the can
restaurant special recipe
adding to the taste
used oil with mosquitos
Most books I read tell us about Japanese being very clean people but the chef of this this restaurant in Nishi Funabashi I found put his used cooking oil in a can and under the choppng table in the kitchen. It was meant for reuse. I found mosquitos, ants, and other insects at the bottom of the can. It was really a surprise.

Key West 2004
Year was 2004
went to Key West,
not a bore like before.
I posed next to a gold man,
with cool planet painting in hand.
Then posed with a parrot,
while owner holds a carrot.
Went to strip club up the stairs,
all the soldiers where there who stared.
Went to restaurant wearing a pink hat
next to an artist at bar is where I sat.
Artist painted me in my pink hat,
really quick and really fast.
Took photos with him and my friend,
still have painting, needs no stand.
Then went to beach to get a tan,
It was warm I layed on sand.
Then I ate at pancake place,
It was fun, I ate and ate.
Have to go back at later date,
I hear Fantasy Fest is great.

First Encounter - Najib Tun Razak
Najib Tun Razak
such big fat
palm
I stayed in Brickfields and never had I thought I would be at the same Indian restaurant with Najib the second day he was sworn in as Prime Minister. He had made it a priority to visit the Chinese and Indian sections of Kuala Lumpur to show his appreciation to the two communities. Everybody stood up when he entered the Kortumalai Indian Restaurant. When he shook hand with me, I suddenly realised that najib has such big fat palm. It is sign of prosperity for Chinese. Let's wish he could bring Malaysia to an era of prosperity.
