One Thousand Shards Of Glass

Where once there was sleep,
there is now nothing but dust.
Where once there was peace,
there is nothing but ash.

I stood astounded
as truth resounded
and I watch a light go dark;
a tree stripped of its bark.

Pebbles flew through time,
as on bullets I rode; a crime?
No, yet conscience is cruel
and I, a mighty fool.

Death has no mastery over things fine,
even sadness dare not cross the line.
Yet like algae it covers the surface,
and underbrush the forest floor.

As you push them through my skin,
the blood wants free, pulsing with sin,
because one thousand shards of glass
created a pain that will last.

The Hanging Tree 2

The children play around the tree
Unbeknown to them of their fate to be
If the where to commit an ungodly crime
They would meet their end at a premature time

They play around the hanging tree
Where they strung up the man the say murdered three
The man’s soul could never truly die
When his death was caused by such a lie

They play around the hanging tree
Where I wait for my love still breathing to join me
So at my place of death I will stay
As I await that faithful day

They play around the hanging tree
Where I watch over her and save her for only me
But when she could finally bear it no more
She spilt her own blood upon the floor

They play around the hanging tree
Hoping that we will one day be free
To leave this world for the heavens above
To live a life purely of love

They play around the handing tree
Were a guilty conscience sets us free
The guilty one confessed to ending the life
Then took his own with a knife

Pulsing Pulsing

Pulsing pulsing,
Theres a beat in his arm still.
Pulsing pulsing,
Like the throb of an anthill.
Pulsing pulsing,
No death in the rain.
Ive been washing my hands,
In the stuff I wash my brains.
Im pulsing.
Youre pulsing.
Whos pulsing? .
Whats pulsing? .
Pulsing pulsing,
Theres a lump in his throat still.
Pulsing pulsing,
At the site of a crash throw.
Pulsing pulsing,
No push in the vein.
Ive been washing my hands,
In the stuff I wash my brains.

Dialogue Between Hamlet And His Conscience

- She's- She's in the riverbed, in algae
And weeds...She went to them
To sleep, - but there's no sleep there, either!
- But she's the one I loved
Like forty thousand brothers
Couldn't love!
- Hamlet!
She's in the riverbed, in algae:
Algae! . . And her last garland
Has surfaced in the logs by the bank...
- But she's the one I loved
Like forty thousand...
- Less,
Even so, than a single lover.
She's in the riverbed, in algae.
- But she's the one -

I loved??

Cause only poor men are dyin in the

Cause we know why it was started
It's an ass war
Cause the president's an asshole

It's a glass war
It's a gas war
Cause the starters are all victims of the
Glass war
The slogan men were starters of the
Last war
Now the southern men are starters of the

Looking Dark

As the tree covered by his own bark,
The truest and invisible site of our character is 'dark'.
It also covers our life; more than light,
It remains with us even in bright; as shadow,
If it is not there than the life becomes a room without any door and window.
Born in dark, sleep in dark and
Death in dark; emotions also comes in dark......
That's true, we get the techniques to be sharp; only in dark.
What is dark?
It is the most hard mark of life,
Of its own type, and never get removed instead we sacrifice our life,
Because it is not worst or bad but it is the shed which always keep our self out from the worst,
Unless we become lost...
In this untidy world.
Dark has many kinds, it is what?
Answer revolves around the human's mind.
If it is dirty, on one could clean it.
Or if it is clean, everyone could seen; this dream.
Because when the dark becomes visible....
Than human its self got the power of double.....
So please try to see your own dark......

Truth or Dare

The truth is I loved you, I dare you to remember
The truth is you hurt me, I dare you to share my pain
The truth is I wanted you back, I dare you to say the same
The truth is you never said sorry, l dare you to try

The truth is I protected you, I dare you to not run away
The truth is you squandered trust cheaply, I dare you to lay the first new stone
The truth is I did insane things, I dare you to stop the insanity
The truth is you lied for nothing that was real, I dare you to face the truth

Soap

you wish i were true
to every word i wrote in my poems
like sadness
that i must be sad when my poems
talk about sadness

like separation and disgust and pain
that i must suffer
with the poems i write that i must have despair
and pain too
and disgust
for every word of disgust written in every word
in every line

how cruel of you
how cruel of truth
how can i justify my death when i speak only of death
and in the very poem
where i write the word
death

there is soap
there is this box of untruths in pandora and when i open it
they must spread and you may refuse to believe
me again

but it would be very cruel of you
to make these poems
all these poems be my life my only life
and lived
and day by day lived in accordance with the
mouths of these poems

empathy
is the word, it is like i am putting my feet in another person's
shoes

then i write, and i could have written about this word: happiness
joy, bliss
ecstasy, light, and amazing glory

i choose not to,
i think, i have too much of it, and i do not share it for now
there is no necessity
and i cannot really help

with so much loneliness and sadness out there
with them i stretch my hands to hold them and feel them
and they all become

myself. it is not soap then, and there are no bubbles in the skies
there is no child playing amazed by the bubbles that burst and by the
bubbles that

are so abundant.

Mighty Fine Blues

Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes I am
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes indeed
Walk down any street
Pass the people you meet
What is it about this place that keeps you on your feet
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes I am
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes indeed
Night is coming down
Closer to the ground
Gonna have a little fun while I'm still around
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes I am
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes indeed
Don't believe the words they say to you when their soul's hurting
Don't believe a word they say about me because I'm feeling mighty fine
Think I gotta go
Think I'm gonna die
Oh my God somethings wrong
The end is coming near
because I'm
Feeling mighty fine
feeling mighty fine at this time, yes I am
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes I am, yes I am

There Is a Welcoming of Truth In Everything That Is Done

I remember my encounter...
With reality!
That's when I was stripped,
From those things I valued.
I was spinning in a whirlpool
Of a cruel introduction to truth.

I had some things I liked.
Things I thought I needed,
And kept polished!
Waxed to keep dust reflecting shadows.
Yes!
Even though accelerated winds,
Kept cars I owned spotless.
Dust and I became enemies.
I just didn't want to see any of it on my cars.

I took my parents for granted.
Until they became ill,
And passed away.

Friends I shared nakedness with.
And every conceivable intimacy...
Were gone!
Vanished in thin air it seemed.
And the things we shared,
To impress each other with...
Became useless possessions.
Especially when loved ones go,
And you are left holding onto emptiness!
And it doesn't take long...
To discover the valueless nonsense in this!

I remember my encounter...
With reality!
That's when I was stripped,
From those things I valued.
I was spinning in a whirlpool
Of a cruel introduction to truth.

And when I began my pursuit,
To free myself of guilt...
I had to forgive a superficiality I had with life.
When I discovered my heart could be broken,
By the permanent absence of those I love!

There is a welcoming of truth in everything that is done.
I am blessed to have learned how to love and forgive.
And blessed to appreciate my life as it is.
And so very blessed to have come to know the ones I loved!

Consumption

ft. Aceyalone

[Prevail]
dukes in my horizon pass the time of day with me
dukes in my horizon pass the time of day with me
dukes in my horizon pass the time of day with me
the earth's surface height is global
so watch the stealth sport
I freed you to the odd of firearms
I was a specimen of near perfection in a college professor's pod
now I'm the only thing you should be fearing for the next millennium clearing
if only time will tell then I'll tell time
no secrets like he doesn't know
I throw beggar's bullets at baley's barn
there'll be bullets over Broadway for all of our faults

[Aceyalone]
people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
people who live in glass houses don't throw stones
people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
because they risk having boulders crash down on their lovely homes
thin wind rain sleet snow cones come showering through your roof
you need a fine toothed comb to find the truth
well my house ain't made of glass and my chariot ain't no pumpkin
I'm not a backyard bumpkin I'm from the concrete slab
where people taking anything and everything that they can grab
what's so bad is a whole lotta grabbin
a lotta jar jabbin
gremlins

Ode to Rheynette

My friend who was slain by those who oppose peace in our coutry

Under the shade of the Water mount, stood
A tree that was planted and watered of God
It grew to a size that Cedars would envy
And more so in beauty and splendor strength

The tree in the wind would stand as a rock
Even in water and flood
And in it and on it and round it would flock
The weary the burdened and sick and the restless
The ones in need of the work of The Blood

The tree would give comfort
The tree did give peace
For the tree was a planting, a working of Him
It often was seen waving and smiling
Inspired by the Breeze
Moving the branches with the greatest of ease

The village and townsmen and leaders oft choose
To sit in the shade and let hair loose
A drink or a biscuit a cake or a meal
Seemed sweeter and warmer and pleasant by the bark
Which also kept carved secrets safe in the dark

Selah

Now rejoicing and singing and crying they came
To witness the Keeper of forest and plain
Put ax to the tree and bring it down low
And form from this gentle, choicest off wood
A living and shining more glorious tree
Eternal in garden
By Her dear Forrester there she then stood

Shattered

It was in the virgin snow
Of many a winter's past
Where memory grew some wings
It was in the form of Snow Angels**
And the winter airs crisp sting
It was a total recall of sorts
Of a broken friendships shards
It cut like glass, as it came to pass
But the snow still covers the yard
It never melted from an apology
As none ever came to pass
And so the snow remains
Along with the pain
And the shards are still sharp as glass

The Ardennes Forest

Cup your hands to scoop up sleep
as you would draw a grain of water
and the forest will come: a green cloud
a birch trunk like a chord of light
and a thousand eyelids fluttering
with forgotten leafy speech
then you will recall the white morning
when you waited for the opening of the gates

you know this land is opened by a bird
that sleeps in a tree and the tree in the earth
but here is a spring of new questions
underfoot the currents of bad roots
look at the pattern on the bark where
a chord of music tightens
the lute player who presses the frets
so the silent resounds

push away leaves: a wild strawberry
dew on a leaf the comb of grass
further a wing of a yellow damselfly
and an ant burying its sister
a wild pear sweetly ripens
above the treacheries of belladonnas
without waiting for greater rewards
sit under the tree

cup your hands to draw up memory
of the dead names dried grain
again the forest: a charred cloud
forehead branded by black light
and a thousand lids pressed
tightly on motionless eyeballs
a tree and the air broken
betrayed faith of empty shelters

that other forest is for us is for you
the dead also ask for fairy tales
for a handful of herbs water of memories
therefore by needles by rustling
and faint threads of fragrances--
no matter that a branch stops you
a shadow leads you through winding passages--
you will find and open
our Ardennes Forest

The Price Of Silence

The cross to bear that silence brings
When reason says it's madness
Can take the shape of many things
Eternal in it's sadness

A silence kept will test a soul
A task that most would feign
For truth exacts a heavy toll
When asked to then explain

So be of stout and strongest heart
Let conscience be your guide
No silence dare pull you apart
When truth is at your side...

Back In Pain

Fight for the right thing
Fight for yourself-no one should run your life
Believe in you- its just the best to do
Before youre giving up
Stay put and give yourself a chance to grow
Get tough and rough- defend yourself on time
Get coming back for more
You gotta push it through
Youre gonna make the truth come true
Back in pain- freedom is not free
Back in pain- freedom is not free
You see yourself so busy
Doing things people always telling you to do
No matter what- always on your own
Fight just for the right thing
Go all the way and never ever change it
Get coming back for more
You gotta push it through
Youre gonna make the truth come true
Back in pain- I wanna see your pride
Back in pain- freedom is not free
Back in pain- youre gonna win this fight
Back in pain- freedom is not free, yeah
Oh yeah, you cant do it on your own
I tell ya nothing, nothing new
You gotta see yourself as what you are
Blinded by light and lost- lost in the dark
Back in pain- I wanna see your pride
Back in pain- freedom is not free
Back in pain- youre gonna win this fight
Back in pain- freedom is not free, yeah
Back in pain- I wanna see your pride
Back in pain

The Stringy-Bark Tree

There's the whitebox and pine on the ridges afar,
Where the iron-bark, blue-gum, and peppermint are;
There is many another, but dearest to me,
And the king of them all was the stringy-bark tree.
Then of stringy-bark slabs were the walls of the hut,
And from stringy-bark saplings the rafters were cut;
And the roof that long sheltered my brothers and me
Was of broad sheets of bark from the stringy-bark tree.

And when sawn-timber homes were built out in the West,
Then for walls and for ceilings its wood was the best;
And for shingles and palings to last while men be,
There was nothing on earth like the stringy-bark tree.

Far up the long gullies the timber-trucks went,
Over tracks that seemed hopeless, by bark hut and tent;
And the gaunt timber-finder, who rode at his ease,
Led them on to a gully of stringy-bark trees.

Now still from the ridges, by ways that are dark,
Come the shingles and palings they call stringy-bark;
Though you ride through long gullies a twelve months you’ll see
But the old whitened stumps of the stringy-bark tree.

When Push Comes To Shove

Shaking in the forest, what have you to fear?
Here there may be tigers, to punch you in the ear.
With gloves of stainless steel, bats carved out of bricks
Knock you down and beat you up and give your ass a kick.
When push comes to shove, youre afraid of love.
Shaking in the desert, now wherefore do you cry?
Here there may be rattlesnakes, to punch you in the eye.
With shotguns full of silver and bullets made of glass
String barbed wire at your feet, that will not let you pass.
When push comes to shove, youre afraid of love.
When push comes to shove, when push comes to shove,
Youre afraid of love, when push comes to shove.
Shaking in the bedroom, covers on your head,
Are you still in fear of the hand beneath the bed?
Grabbing at the handle, scratching at the door,
Maybe its mystery killer you saw on channel four.
When push comes to shove, youre afraid of love.
Shaking in the garden, the fear within you grows,
Here there may be roses, to punch you in the nose.
Put my arms around you, love you til you cry,
Wrap you in your sweet perfume and squeeze you til you die.
When push comes to shove, youre afraid of love.
When push comes to shove, when push comes to shove,
Youre afraid of love, when push comes to shove.

The Line Is Fine

Look at me I'm so disgusting
I will never find another
Quite like you
You make me blue
With the things you do
Look at you you're so familiar
We could be so cool together
All the time
Could all be fine
We're on the line
The line is fine
Open up mah window
The line is fine
Standing on the ledge
Well I don't look down
Looking at the people
Well they all look fine
It's not just life or death
Yesterday we talked together
But tonight it's just the weather
Chillin' me
What's the point in silly talking
We could get there quicker walking
Down the line
could all be fine
But we're on the line
The line is fine
But staring at the faces
Standing in a row
Think of all the places
That they have yet to go
They don't know

Every Morning's Mourning.

Watch you sleep
Dream and roll over
avoid the monsters
and the light
Watch you sleep

Watch you sleep
when the noise
of fifteen
floors above you
crashes in
and wraps you deeper
in your sheets
Watch you sleep

Watch you sleep
through every squeak
and smash and ping
as I serenade you
with my awake
and my breakfast
Watch you sleep

Watch you sleep
with a half-turned
smile on your face
an exposed and naked leg
your hair escaping you
like spilling starlight
Watch you sleep

Watch you sleep
when I kiss
the tiniest sample
of skin on your cheek
and know you wake
when I'm gone
and am gone
until again you sleep

When you wake
Watch you wake
Watch you sleep
