I’m Astounded By His Strange Love
I am astounded by His strange love,
by the way He lived just as a mere man
where He the creator God chose
to Himself bore man’s punishment.
I am astounded by His strange love,
by the way He wrote in the sand,
forcing the men who wanted to kill to leave
and forgiving Mary Magdalene.
I am astounded by His strange love,
by the way that He daily dwells with me,
being gentle like a unblemished dove
where I am a man full of sin and iniquity,
I am astounded by His strange love

All the beings in the universe are astounded
All the beings in the universe are astounded
that the almighty One
comes to earth as a human
and being God and human
are bonded in Him
and there’s a boy crying in clothes.
All the beings in the universe are astounded
that the almighty One
with angels all around
as human alone,
had to pay the price
and a Godly being dies in stead of everybody
and all the beings in the universe are astounded

Strange Magic
Youre sailing softly through the sun
In a broken stone age dawn.
You fly so high.
I get a strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Youre walking meadows in my mind,
Making waves across my time,
Oh no, oh no.
I get a strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Oh, Im never gonna be the same again,
Now Ive seen the way its got to end,
Sweet dream, sweet dream.
Strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Its magic, its magic, its magic.
Strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic.
Strange magic strange magic
Oh, what a strange magic strange magic
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic.
Strange magic strange magic
Oh, what a strange magic strange magic
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic,
You know I got a strange magic,
Yeah, I got a strange magic,
Oo-o-o-oo, strange magic. (fade)

Aint Love Strange
Wel l, it can get you in the back boy
Or you can lie around in roses
Or maybe walk around wonderin
You know, goin through the motions
Hey aint love strange?
Hey aint love strange?
Boy talk about changes
Aint love strange?
cause it can make you string barb-wire
Around your little piece of ground
For emotional protection
Oh, but its too late now
Hey aint love strange?
Hey aint love strange?
Boy talk about changes
Aint love stra nge?
Some keep tryin it, giving and denying it
And I dont know why it is I guess you never quit
Tryin to make sense of it
cause it can feel like perfection,
But never all the time
And you dont wanna be alone again
Oh my, my
Hey aint love strange?
Hey aint love strange?
Boy talk about changes
Aint love strange?

Is It So Strange
(words & music by faron young)
Oh, if you tell a lie
You know that Ill forgive you
Though you say our love is just a game
And when you hear my name
Youll say Im from a strange world
But is it so strange to be in love with you
Is it so strange
That I love you more than all the world
Is it so strange
I have no eyes for any other girl
Oh wont you take me back
And say that you still love me
To waste a love like ours would be a sin
Let us kiss again
Let me hold you near
And take me from this strange world
That Im living in

Strange Brew
By eric clapton, gail collins and felix pappalardi
Strange brew -- kill whats inside of you.
Shes a witch of trouble in electric blue,
In her own mad mind shes in love with you.
With you.
Now what you gonna do?
Strange brew -- kill whats inside of you.
Shes some kind of demon messing in the glue.
If you dont watch out itll stick to you.
To you.
What kind of fool are you?
Strange brew -- kill whats inside of you.
On a boat in the middle of a raging sea,
She would make a scene for it all to be
Ignored.
And wouldnt you be bored?
Strange brew -- kill whats inside of you.
Strange brew, strange brew, strange brew, strange brew.
Strange brew -- kill whats inside of you.

Strange Pursuit
Intersecting love lines
Drew us closer every day
Always kept your distance
When you felt my presence near you
Love keeps on rolling over
Fly in retreat
I would follow without shame
A stupid spud staggering to the flame
To be had and rehad
Be a victim of the pain
Now its strange, its so strange
Its a strange pursuit
Its a strange pursuit
Its a strange pursuit
I come running like a fatboy
In lead shoes
But like a fatboy
Huff puffing after you
Its hopeless to hope for
The one thing that Im wanting
cause its strange
Its so very strange
Its a strange pursuit
Darling, Im dazzled
But you know Im too frazzled
Its a strange pursuit
Makin my mind up
While it lies in little pieces
Its a strange pursuit
You know its getting tough
When youre getting real rough
Its a strange pursuit
Darling, Im dazzled
But you know Im too frazzled
Its a strange pursuit
Makin my mind up
While it lies in little pieces
It s a strange pursuit

Strange Kind Of Love

Mystery woman, you play at night
Under darkness, you make everything alright
You wave your magic, and Im in your spell
It may be trouble, but its too soon to tell
Ill go out the back door, if only I could
Baby, youve been up to no good
Its a strange kind of love (strange love), thats leadin me on
Maybe Ill just hang out till dawn
Its a strange love, but its feelin so right
Maybe I should stay here tonight
Its a strange kind of lovin, alright
Call me, what you will
Say I must be crazy, to be addicted to the thrill
Of a mystery woman, with eyes of fire
Feelin hopeless as the flames just grow higher
The other side of midnight, shadows dancing aglow
Its a place, where no man should go
Its a strange kind of love (strange love), thats leadin me on
Maybe Ill just hang out till dawn, yeah
Its a strange love, but it feels so right
Maybe I should stay here tonight
Its a strange kind of lovin, alright, strange kind of love
I dont need trouble, gettin in my way
I got this feelin, that I should turn and walk away
Youre an evil spirit, thats what you are
And Im afraid youre gonna take things too far
Youre tryin to tell me somethin babe, my minds in a haze
Excuse me, but I cant look away
Strange love, thats leadin me on
Maybe Ill just hang out till dawn
Its a strange love, but its feelin so right
Maybe I should stay here tonight
Its a strange love, but Im under your spell
Baby I just cant turn away
A strange love, ooh, but its feelin so right
Mabye I should leave here tonight
A strange kind of lovin, alright
A strange kind of love
A strange kind of love
A strange kind of love, yeah
A strange kind of love
A strange kind of love, baby
Youre a strange kind of love, yeah

Who Gave It To You?
I was not using it and,
You were not using it either!
But, who gave it to you?
Hew, dew, few, brew, drew, threw;
But this story started long ago!
And your lips are now red,
So, who gave it to you?
Slew, sew, stew, pew, spew, mew;
Strange food,
Strange meat,
Strange people,
Strange land,
Strange culture,
Strange love,
Crew, grew, new, strew, screw;
But, with your red lips! !
So, who gave it to you?

Strange Things
I was on top of the world
It was right in my pocket
I was livin' the life
Things were just the way they should be
When from out of the sky like a bomb comes some little punk in a rocket
Now all of a sudden some strange things are happenin' to me
I had friends,
I had lots of friends
Now all my friends are gone
And I'm doin' the best I can to carry on
I had power (power)
I was respected (respect)
But not any more
And I've lost the love to the one whom I adored
Let me tell you about the strange things are happenin' to me
Strange things
Strange things are happenin' to me...
Ain't no doubt about it
You got someone you think you know well
It turns out a stranger
The minute you turn your back
You're in it all by yourself
They laugh at your jokes
You think you're doin' well
But you're in danger, boy
You end up alone, forgotten, way up on the shelf
Strange things are happenin' to me
Strange things
Strange things are happenin' to me
Ain't no doubt about it
Strange things are happenin' to me
Strange things
Strange things are happenin' to me
Strange things
Strange things

Strange Feeling
A strange feeling comes in a strange way in a strange package
In a strange color in a strange structure with a strange feature
With a strange nature with a strange behavior
Inside me which I can feel but can't express
As it stands at a distance far away making me helpless.
It breaks in,
Before holding to mold
It goes out
I put a tricky trap
To catch but it tactfully traps the trap
And very fast catches me up.
But it never becomes my very own
Or leaves me to live peacefully alone
It has been doing what it does and doesn't change.
It does always derange me, what a strange?

When The First Heat Comes
When the first heat comes, the winter starts to disappear
weeds and flowers appear everywhere,
fruit trees are flowering,
when the first signs of spring appears,
with the sun flowering in crimson
you are astounded by the many colours
of flowers dazzling glorious in sunshine,
birds sing before the sun rises,
when the first heat comes,
the last stripped branches has disappeared,
the sky becomes a cobalt blue curtain,
you are astounded
by the insects and birds that are gathering in joy,
are caught in the scent of jasmine,
when the first heat comes.

Suddenly You Come
Suddenly you come as my true love
when age
already is leaving its marks and I feel young,
am astounded
by how perfectly you fit into my life,
at times I feel stupid,
are in love with you as if you are my first darling,
while daily you bring to my life new meaning.

Every Day
Every day I see him coming
Every day he walks on by
Life used to be so plain and simple
Before he came into my life
Every night I keep on dreaming
Every night I take him home
We always go to bed together
I always wake up all alone
Chorus:
Oh its strange, so strange
What hes doing to me
Oh its strange so strange
Did this ever happen to you
The way it has happened to me
The way it just happened to me
Every day outside my window
Always minutes close to eight
I wish he stayed a little longer
But his bus is never late
Every night were dancing slowly
I play the music he adores
Like Sinatra then were talking
All important things for sure
Chorus:
Oh its strange so strange
What hes doing to me
Oh its strange so strange
Did this ever happen to you
The way it has happened to me
The way it just happened to me
Oh its strange so strange
What hes doing to me
Oh so strange real strange
Did this ever happen to you
The way it has happened to me
The way it just happened to me

Strange
I was heading down the highway
Shes going my way
She climbed in, the next thing I knew
We started laughing and smoking,
We got to talking
Yeah, wed both been hurt a time or two
I knew she didnt love me
But I didnt think shed want me, no
Right there she took me
Underneath that sun, we became one
She said
Lifes a little strange
We all need a little strange sometimes
Im a little strange
A lot like you....
(lets ride)
Halfway to boston
She turned down the radio
Asked what I was looking for
Then I looked in her eyes,
For the first time I realized
I really didnt know anymore
Sometimes I think I want true love
Most times I feel like theres no one
But in the meantime hold me tight
Things will be alright
I said...
Lifes a little strange
We all need a little strange sometimes
Im a little strange
A lot like you....
(lets ride)
Solo
I pulled along the highway
The time had come to go our way
She took my hand, looked into my eyes
And said wont you hold me one more time
She said....
Lifes a little strange
We all need a little strange sometimes
Im a little strange a lot
Oh baby, a lot like you....

Pretty Strange
(hendricks/weston)
Love
Who knows about love
And even those who do know
Wont reveal it
Back when you were in your prime
Love was just a waste of time
Once youd flirt discreetly
Now you give completely
Thats pretty strange
You can try to play at love
Even be blas? at love
But although you doubt it
You cant live without it
Thats pretty strange
Love
Who knows about it
And even those who do know
Wont reveal it
Love can make you cry sometimes
Make you want to die sometimes
But when cryins done then
Love is so much fun then
Thats pretty strange

Requiem For A Marriage
Far too short it took you
when you started to be estranged from me,
when you found another lover
and we both found ourselves
where that which you did see in me
was only for monetary purposes,
daily you stopped laughing,
you were gone from me during the night
while you were charging on after happiness
and I dared my life for you
but still at times you loved me,
somewhere the end did begin
when our love suddenly did die
and I was astounded by all the pain.

The Strange Tree
There’s a strange tree which lives near me,
And this strange tree could not agree,
That if this tree could ever see,
A stranger tree it sure would be.
There’s a strange tree which topples me,
For this strange tree was tall, you see,
And then this tree would use its knee,
To break in three, the clouds who flee.
There’s a strange tree which lives near me,
The northern tree, its branches free,
The southern tree, no limb to see,
For this strange tree, was strange, you see?
There’s a strange tree which I can see,
And this strange tree (against my plea)
Was sent to sea, its roots now free,
And now this tree… A ship is he.
End.
