Bird Songs

Which is the greater
Of natures sheerest beauty?
The birds gaily singing
Or the moment just beyond?
The hearing or the recalling
Of a pure, unpretentious song?

To listen is pleasure
To remember honor and duty,
For such musical moments of grace
Linger like inexpressible refrains of love,
Heard descending endlessly
From high above.

The birds without thought or fear
Sing their melody of life intuitively;
A beautiful lesson
Perhaps I may one day learn;
To enjoy each moment and savor each memory
With no regret, and no vain concern.

Birdsong

The morning air suddenly comes alive,
With beautiful birdsong, in bursts of five.
Sometimes, there are bursts of seven or six,
To add a dash of variety, to the musical mix.

From other birds, there is no competition;
To sing the best, this bird is on a mission.
He sings his song loudly, and crystal clear;
Sat way up high in the tree, he feels no fear.

To his heart’s content, the little bird sings;
Joy, to nearby shoppers, his sweet song brings.
I hear the shrill trill of a nearby burglar alarm;
Compared to the bird’s trill, it holds no charm.

Hearing his call, really brightens up my day,
As I pass him by, and go steadily on my way.
Some people are too busy to notice his call;
Upon their deaf ears, his pretty voice falls.

In the natural world, there’s beauty to be found;
You need only to listen, and look all around.
If you just take your time; if you do not rush,
You will find beauty aplenty in the relative hush.

Listen to the birds singing, way up in the trees;
Their voices are carried upon the winter breeze.
By such sights and sounds, you will be thrilled;
With nature’s beauty, your senses will be filled.

Melody Of Love

I always
Stayed away from love
Afraid of what might
Might happen
Till i thought
I heard a sound above
Singing through my very
Own heart
Was a melody
I never heard
Like birds singing loud
To the sky
Never dreamed that
True love would help me
Find my way
Didn't know how deep i'd fallen
Until you rescued, rescued me
Suddenly
Strings began
I heard the melody again and again
The sound of music
Flowing through my head
So rare
I'm walking on air
Melody of love
Sing that song for me yeah
I want to hear somebody sing
Melody of love
Oh take me away
One lonely night
You up and dance into my dreams
Baby you set my heart on fire
So i've been burning
Burning ever since yeah
Suddenly
Strings began
I hear the melody again and again
The sounds of trumpets
Flowing through my head
So rare i'm walking on air
Melody of love
Sing that song for me yeah
I want to hear somebody sing
Melody of love
Oh take me away
Melody of love
Oh set me free yeah
I want to hear somebody sing
Melody of love
Oh take me away
Oh melody
Oh melody
I can really feel it
You can feel it, too
Oh melody
Oh melody
Melody of love
Sing that song for me yeah

The Sermon of the Birds

I was clearing thirty or forty acres once
Out in the western range near Nightcap Mountain.
And as I was working, I heard a gathering of the crows
Singing out in a jungle gully. Their clamorous cries
Drawed the attention of all the other birds.
Jackass and butcher-bird, soldier-bird, sparrow-bird,
Scrub-robin, magpie, and the black and white cockatoo,
They all flew down to the crows in the jungle-gully.

And I followed after their clamour, and in the midst
Of all the splendid excitement of the birds
I heard one feller was singing above them all.
It was the lyre-bird, the mimic of all the scrub,
And they held this beautiful sermon or half an hour.
The birds would stop and listen a while but still
That beautiful voice, the lyre-bird, would keep on singing
And draw then and join them all to a chorus again.

And as I stood there and listened, the Scriptures was
Hitting me all the time. The sermon seemed
Like the prophecy when Christ shall come and summon
The birds, the valleys, the hills, the mountains and the ocean
To sing in praise of the grace and the reckoning day,
And the beauty of earth in the splendour that He crated.
And I went back and told my people of what I had seen,
And the sermon of praise I heard in the mountain range.

Braving The British Weather

To brave the British weather, most birds don't have a choice,
But even in the worst weather, they raise such a spirited voice.
Cold and rainy weather can leave some of us feeling a little blue,
But, to me, it seems the little birds hold a different kind of view.

When, to us, the weather seems to go so very, horribly wrong,
The little birds continue to sing their sweet and happy song.
When a cloudless, blue sky still seems so very far from sight,
There is one song which will always ring out, so clear and bright.

When you find yourself walking along, upon rain-soaked ground,
From up in the trees, there will always come a heart-lifting sound.
A dull and dismal day can sometimes make us feel a little bit down:
Our hearts feel a little heavy, and our faces wear an unhappy frown.

Birdsong is a beautiful and pure, but powerful, Heaven-sent gift:
Upon hearing such a pleasant song, our hearts will begin to lift.
Even in wet weather, the little birds sing out with such pure joy:
Like the joy a child has, when hugging their favourite soft toy.

Even when we get wet through, our clothes will very soon dry,
So we should try to keep our chin up, and our spirits flying high.
Such joy is contained within the heart of a creature, so very small:
These tiny little birds really do set a shining example to us all.

Stolen Moments

Because you were stillborn my little niece
The moment of me holding you in my arms for the first time has been stolen.
I’ll never have that moment of hearing you say my name that moment has also been stolen.
I’ll never feel your sweet kisses on my cheek or your hugs around my neck more stolen moments.
A lot of the special moments we would have shared have been stolen.
But I want you to know the moment of me loving you my little sweet angel was not.
The moment I knew of you; you stole my heart.
I’ll love you in this moment and every moment for the rest of my life.

This poem is dedicate in memory to my little niece who I passed away today 3/1/08. She was stillborn

Bird’s Song

Swim through oceans of air
Birds keep time up there
And spend their days winging
Through forests of clouds, singing
Hymns of nature’s style
Fluttering away all the while
Dancing with angels in the sky
Dancing, dancing as they fly
Through fields of blue
Just to sing their song for you.

Mountains of clouds all about
Saviors in times of drought
Gather up the tears you cry
Into your reservoir in the sky
And listen to the birds sing
Listen for the song in everything
From the forests to the sea
From the bird to the bee
Listen and the song is there
Nature sings everywhere.

The sun rejoices each new day
But it rises in the usual way
To wake up the world with beams of light
And to conquer the darkness of night
But still the birds sing their song
A tribute to the day that’s long
And travel through fields of blue
Just to sing their song for you
And then when all has gone away
They’ll sing for you some other day.

Birds of Spring

Birds of spring they
bring on so many things
sounds they send
to each other,

that only they
can understand
in their sweet
cheerful harmony.

Sweet smell in
the air this
beautiful april day
listening to these creatures.

Taking in the warmth
of the sun that
is so overdue, blue
skies beauty to the eye.

Birds in flight
from one tree
to the other, getting
ready to produce life.

Cool breezes this
day so fine to hear
birds of spring echoing
music to my ear.

Birds of spring
to many to mention you all,
Robbins, Wrens and Cardinals
or a few I see, oh so beautiful.

To hear their chirping
wondering what they're saying
at this moment
will sit here for awhile.

Sounds this day
so relaxing is it
to listen to these
birds of spring.

Like most people of my age, I feel a longing for what is lost and cannot be restored. But if the happy pursuits and casual beauty of youth prove ephemeral, something better can endure, and endure until our last moment on earth. And that is the honor we earn and the love we give if at a moment in our lives we sacrifice for something greater than self-interest. We cannot choose the moments. They arrive unbidden by us. We can choose to let the moments pass, and avoid the difficulties they entail. But the loss we would incur by that choice is much dearer than the tribute we once paid to vanity and pleasure.

A Song For You

Ive been so many places in my life and time
Ive sung a lot of songs and Ive made some bad climbs
Ive acted out my life in stages with ten thousand people watching
Oh, but were alone now and Im singing this song for you
I know your image of me is what I hope to be, Ive treated you unkindly
Oh, but darling cant you see that, theres no one more important to me
Baby, baby, cant you see through me, cause were alone now
And Im singing this song to you, you taught me precious secrets
Of a true love withholding nothing, you came out in front
When I was hiding, yeah, yeah, but now its so much better
If my words dont quite come together, please listen to the melody
cause my love is in there somewhere hiding
I love you in a place where there is no space or time, I love you for my life
You are a friend of mine, and when my life is over
Remember, remember, remember when we were together
And we are alone now, and I was singing this song to you
We were alone, and I was singing, yeah singing
We were alone, and I was singing this song for you
Singing my song, Im singing my song for you

The singing falcon (hybridanelle)

I heard the falcon’s cry,
a myth of native lore
from high up in the sky

like a golden-hot ray
it came from the sun
at the break of day

sublime the notes came as I
walked the veldt, with beauty at the core.
I heard the falcon’s cry;

it was very high and far away
only a speck in the solar gradient,
it came from the sun.

I could not see it with my eye
it turned on upper winds to explore
from high up in the sky

it was triumphant, glowing radiant,
pure as light turned to sound
only a speck in the solar gradient,

the air was azure and the day was dry
and I was on the track of a lone lion before
I heard the falcon’s cry

and great beauty that I found
as if hearing a flying trumpet sing
pure as light turned to sound

I saw the soaring predator fly
with claws and beak ready to gore
from high up in the sky

and it made my ears ring,
inside its resonance
as if hearing a flying trumpet sing

a thing no money could buy
or imitate in a musical score.
I heard the falcon’s cry
from high up in the sky

pristine without dissonance
like a golden-hot ray
inside its resonance
at the break of day.

Breaking point

Sometimes mere moments do linger,
when your eye catches mine intimately and honest
then I am simultaneously both scared and happy,
sometimes mere moments do linger,

when your eye catches mine intimately and honest,
when you linger with me without words,
sometimes then our love is pure
when your eye catches mine intimately and honest,

when you linger with me without words
and you wait that I tell you about my day,
about the glory and hell of work,
when you linger with me without words,

and you wait that I tell you about my day;
when I rather want to know more about you,
when I want to forget the rush, the distress
and you wait that I tell you about my day,

when I rather want to know more about you,
when a moment comes to a breaking point,
then sometimes I am surprised by your beauty,
when I rather want to know more about you,

when a moment comes to a breaking point,
sometimes mere moments do linger,
when we both remove our own masks,
when a moment comes to a breaking point;

sometimes mere moments do linger,
when your eye catches mine intimately and honest
then I am simultaneously both scared and happy,
sometimes mere moments do linger.

Listen To The Sunset

Listen to the sunset,
Hear its silent sigh
As it falls down the horisen
Warning, the moon is nigh

Listen to the sunset
Hear its silent threat
That darkness will be upon us
It makes everyone upset

Listen to the sunset
The vanity of its words
How beautiful this sunset is
With its colour, and birds

Listen to the sunset
See its pretty hue
But I cant enjoy the sunset
If I am not with you

All the pretty colours are meaningless
So are the birds, and the sounds
Because it all means nothing to me
If you are not around

Just remember this though,
Promise you wont forget,
Even if your far away,
We'll be watching the same sunset

So listen to the sunset
Enjoy its beauty true
When you see it, think of me
And I will think of you

The whistling Breeze

listen, listen, the humming breeze calling each
name in the humid cooled air in the nostril sway;
that closes perfectly in the mode of the freezing
heart of early morning in the sofa you just lay, the
bumble bee wants you to stay and listen as it sings
your favorite sweet melody

stay, stay awake and suite yourself to
motionless blink, close your eyes and feel the soft
voice of prevailing wind of the moist and talk
endlessly in your thought the calling silence of the
moment; it has something to say and move and
wipe your tired body of discomfort for a whole day
your busy, even the cockroach may look ugly yet! it
give you the sweeten way to go

hold, hold not the burden, yet! let it feel, the beauty
of nature that whisper each day that sometimes, you
lost the meaning of today; the crow of the cock tells
you to remember that slowly down you’re in the right
way to fulfill your duty

forever, the soul calls and waits to listen the
daring voice of the nature, patiently hold the heart to
make a start; as the buzzing bee sings the perfect
harmony of each journey; the beauty of unity comes
in a most unforgettable memory of the past assembly
in this momentum of life letting it goes and flies
forever more

listen and go placidly my soul and return the heart that
rejoice each flow of great memory to live in every day
of your life……..God reminds you

Bless Me With Those Eyes!

'A thing of beauty is a joy for ever'
Words of Keats one can forget never
What is beauty - beauty is where
One can enjoy here and there, every where!
Grecian urn a beautiful piece
Niagara falls a beautiful place
Silver streaks of water brings us peace
Hills and dales sure nature's grace!

Does beauty lie in the objects seen
Or lie in the eyes of the seer keen?

Beauty seen in the scorching Sun
Beauty felt in the biting cold
Beauty heard in the melody of birds
Beauty smelt in the fragrance of rose
Beauty tasted in the bitterness of neem
Beauty found sure in every mean(s) !

'Beauty is truth and truth beauty
That is all what ye know on earth
And what all ye need to know'
Words of Wisdom
From votary of beauty
And a devotee of Almighty!

Creator of noble beauty
Harbinger of peace and piety
Bless me with those eyes and mind
Beauty in ugliness that they can find!

Beauty of the mind and beauty of the soul
Sure makes one the wholesome whole!

Trees are more like FOWL'S,
Trees are more like FOWL'S,
The Birds that EMERGED is greater than 40's and 80's,
This Historic moment is like a TIGER,
Taking this THOUGHT,
There is the NEW EMERGING of FOWLS,
Imagine of another New Composure maybe another MISSION completed for these BIRDS,
The Birds will flow in all COLOUR'S since the love of God hast no STATUS.
