To Beethoven

In o'er-strict calyx lingering,
Lay music's bud too long unblown,
Till thou, Beethoven, breathed the spring:
Then bloomed the perfect rose of tone.

O Psalmist of the weak, the strong,
O Troubadour of love and strife,
Co-Litanist of right and wrong,
Sole Hymner of the whole of life,

I know not how, I care not why, --
Thy music sets my world at ease,
And melts my passion's mortal cry
In satisfying symphonies.

It soothes my accusations sour
'Gainst thoughts that fray the restless soul:
The stain of death; the pain of power;
The lack of love 'twixt part and whole;

The yea-nay of Freewill and Fate,
Whereof both cannot be, yet are;
The praise a poet wins too late
Who starves from earth into a star;

The lies that serve great parties well,
While truths but give their Christ a cross;
The loves that send warm souls to hell,
While cold-blood neuters take no loss;

Th' indifferent smile that nature's grace
On Jesus, Judas, pours alike;
Th' indifferent frown on nature's face
When luminous lightnings strangely strike

The sailor praying on his knees
And spare his mate that's cursing God;
How babes and widows starve and freeze,
Yet Nature will not stir a clod;

Why Nature blinds us in each act
Yet makes no law in mercy bend,
No pitfall from our feet retract,
No storm cry out `Take shelter, friend;'

Why snakes that crawl the earth should ply
Rattles, that whoso hears may shun,
While serpent lightnings in the sky,
But rattle when the deed is done;

How truth can e'er be good for them
That have not eyes to bear its strength,
And yet how stern our lights condemn
Delays that lend the darkness length;

To know all things, save knowingness;
To grasp, yet loosen, feeling's rein;
To waste no manhood on success;
To look with pleasure upon pain;

Though teased by small mixt social claims,
To lose no large simplicity,
And midst of clear-seen crimes and shames
To move with manly purity;

To hold, with keen, yet loving eyes,
Art's realm from Cleverness apart,
To know the Clever good and wise,
Yet haunt the lonesome heights of Art;

O Psalmist of the weak, the strong,
O Troubadour of love and strife,
Co-Litanist of right and wrong,
Sole Hymner of the whole of life,

I know not how, I care not why,
Thy music brings this broil at ease,
And melts my passion's mortal cry
In satisfying symphonies.

Yea, it forgives me all my sins,
Fits life to love like rhyme to rhyme,
And tunes the task each day begins
By the last trumpet-note of Time.

Wrestling Jacob

FIRST PART.

Come, O thou Traveller unknown,
Whom still I hold, but cannot see;
My company before is gone,
And I am left alone with thee;
With thee all night I mean to stay,
And wrestle till the break of day.

I need not tell thee who I am;
My sin and misery declare;
Thyself hast called me by my name;
Look on thy hands, and read it there;
But who, I ask thee, who art thou?
Tell me thy name, and tell me now.

In vain thou strugglest to get free;
I never will unloose my hold:
Art thou the Man that died for me?
The secret of thy love unfold;
Wrestling, I will not let thee go
Till I thy name, thy nature know.

Wilt thou not yet to me reveal
Thy new, unutterable name?
Tell me, I still beseech thee, tell;
To know it now resolved I am;
Wrestling, I will not let thee go
Till I thy name, thy nature know.

What though my shrinking flesh complain
And murmur to contend so long?
I rise superior to my pain;
When I am weak, then am I strong!
And when my all of strength shall fail,
I shall with the God-man prevail.

SECOND PART.

Yield to me now, for I am weak,
But confident in self-despair;
Speak to my heart, in blessings speak;
Be conquered by my instant prayer;
Speak, or thou never hence shalt move,
And tell me if thy name be Love.

'T is Love! 't is Love! Thou diedst for me;
I hear thy whisper in my heart;
The morning breaks, the shadows flee;
Pure, universal Love thou art;
To me, to all, thy bowels move;
Thy nature and thy name is Love.

My prayer hath power with God; the grace
Unspeakable I now receive;
Through faith I see thee face to face;
I see thee face to face and live!
In vain I have not wept and strove;
Thy nature and thy name is Love.

I know thee, Saviour, who thou art,
Jesus, the feeble sinner's friend;
Nor wilt thou with the night depart,
But stay and love me to the end;
Thy mercies never shall remove;
Thy nature and thy name is Love.

The Sun of Righteousness on me
Hath risen, with healing in his wings;
Withered my nature's strength; from thee
My soul its life and succor brings;
My help is all laid up above;
Thy nature and thy name is Love.

Contented now upon my thigh
I halt till life's short journey end;
All helplessness, all weakness, I
On thee alone for strength depend;
Nor have I power from thee to move;
Thy nature and thy name is Love.

Lame as I am, I take the prey;
Hell, earth, and sin with ease o'ercome;
I leap for joy, pursue my way,
And, as a bounding hart, fly home;
Through all eternity to prove
Thy nature and thy name is Love.

Where Lies Bliss?

Nature, music and love are great in life
A poet and mystic of high nature loves!
Spiritually satisfying Nature he enjoys
Like a free flying bird in this world...!

Whatever comforts one gets in the world
The sense of satisfaction and joy is unique
Each one tries to find in quest of truth
In art, woman and Nature all life forever!

The solace and comfort he seeks he gets
For sure mostly in Nature when all fails!
The expression of such a unique experience
In poems endless he lives forever to guide all!

One's time will have an end one day but
What he does by his art only gives bliss!

I Love Time Out With Nature

I love time out with Nature and I love peace and quiet
To walk along the gravel path in the evening sunlight
When the wild birds are singing and Spring is in her prime
And even memories of such inspire the soul to rhyme.

I love time out with Nature a brief release from care
For Nature she is generous her gifts with all she share
We drink of her clear spring waters and we breathe in her life sustaining air
And Nature's splendid beauty is around us everywhere.

I love time out with Nature the only God I know
Her stream from the high country down to the river flow
The skylark from the rank grass in the mood for song he fly
One of Nature's feathered minstrels he carols in the sky.

In time out with Mother Nature from life's cares I find ease
The sounds of the leaves rustling in the freshening evening breeze
And we much like the Seasons to life we come and go
But Nature lives forever the only God I know.

My Heart Burns and Melts

My heart burns and melts with a pain and sickness

unlike this world has seen

for the tears and cries and pain and hurt of loved ones

my heart burns and melts with the ugliness which paints this world

a gloomy gray for the greed, violence, hate, and prejudice

which plaques our world

my heart burns and melts for the tired, hungry, weak, and poor

for the wars that slaughters billions and families

that are torn apart by lust and greed and jealously and hate

my heart burns and melts with a passion as strong as incense

as we live our lives in sin and vain without a care in the world

for the world we live in is cold as ice and the world is dark as pitch

for my heart burns and melts with a passion of pain and sadness

as my heart burns and melts like ice

for my heart burns and melts for the sick and needy of the world

for the broken hearts out there who need healing

for my heart burns and melts with a passion as strong as love itself

in hoping that one day the world will a happier place

enriched in golden bliss of happiness and peace on earth

for my heart burns with a passion for a dream

that's as sweet as love itself in all its beauty

Sonnet- God Is Very Just

What mortal sin, a beggar lame would do,
Denied of food and shelter, dress to wear?
He lives at the mercy of Nature too;
Diseases, problems that he cannot bear.

What mortal sins, the blind would dare to do?
They live in darkness, neglected, alone;
In vain, they try to 'see' God's Nature too,
Like you and me, for they are not of stone.

But mortal sins- the ones well-formed much do,
with intact senses, duping God and world;
Yet, Mother Nature seems to help them too;
Into the Pit of Hell, they will be hurled!
The handicapped and beggar will see God,
But not the 'Wholesome, sinful one' from clod.

Love You Crazy (feat. Human Nature)

Watching the shadow dance
Reflected in your eyes
Open up and take a chance - talk to me
Don't hold everything inside
And if you want me say
Hold me now - hold me now
And it's ok to say - please hold me now
Lay your head down in my arms
Whispering my name
Go ahead and fall asleep
Dream the night away
I love you right - I love you wrong
I love you weak - I love you strong
I love you crazy everyday and all night long
I share your joy - I'll ease your pain
I'll take your sunshine and your rain
Oh my baby - I love you crazy
My hands are innocent - my arms are open wide
There's nothing to fight against
I'll help you thru the stone cold night
And if you feel afraid - reach for me - reach for me now
'Cos I can't stand the wait - reach for me now
I'll be here when you awake
Whispering your name
Here's a promise I will make
My love will never change
I love you right - I love you wrong
I love you weak - I love you strong
I love you crazy everyday and all night long
I share your joy - I'll ease your pain
I'll take your sunshine and your rain
Oh my baby
I love you crazy high and crazy low
More than you will ever know
I will love you crazy all my life
I love you right
I love wrong
I love you weak
I love you strong
I love you right - I love you wrong
I love you weak - I love you strong
I love you crazy everyday and all night long
I share your joy - I'll ease your pain
I'll take your sunshine and your rain
Oh my baby - I love you crazy

Music Of The Thunder

Music of the thunder is sweet
To our ears indeed a great treat!
Rhyme and rhythm, you can find and hear
Evanescence of life seen here!
Early in the morning a joy
In the nature's hand a nice toy!
Withered trees, parched land scene of woe
Starved people, dying cattle - oh!
Nature played music of thunder
Accompanied by great wonder!
Streak of lightning, lashings of rain
Swelling of streams and rivers main!
Melody of thunder and rain
Great reliever of farmers' pain!
Sans water the world exists not
All living beings on earth rot!
Thunder hurts me not, nor a threat
Indeed a music - nature's pet!
I love nature, I love thunder
What a great nature-made wonder!

Jesus Christ, Our Hope, Strength and Refuge!

For sins of human beings all,
Lord Jesus laid His life on cross;
Although a sin-free soul Himself,
He suffered, died to redeem man.

He shed His every dropp of blood,
Emancipating human race
From punishment by hell for sins –
Such heinous crimes upon the earth!

The cross is part of Christian’s life,
And persecutions will happen,
As Christ predicted all these things,
For those who walked in His foot-steps!

His Holy Spirit guides Christians,
Who live a righteous life for Christ,
The only Son of Almighty –
A heart of immense love for man!

But Christ resurrected from death!
He won clear victory o’er satan;
All Christians good will do the same;
This faith is something strangely true.

Let humiliations come in life!
Let trials, tribulations come!
Let strife threaten our faith and hope!
Christ stays with us till end of time!

A Christian takes his cross and walks
Behind the Savior, Jesus Christ –
The Light and Truth and only Way
To reach Heaven, abode of God!

The Quaker Of The Olden Time

THE Quaker of the olden time!
How calm and firm and true,
Unspotted by its wrong and crime,
He walked the dark earth through.
The lust of power, the love of gain,
The thousand lures of sin
Around him, had no power to stain
The purity within.
With that deep insight which detects
All great things in the small,
And knows how each man's life affects
The spiritual life of all,
He walked by faith and not by sight,
By love and not by law;
The presence of the wrong or right
He rather felt than saw.
He felt that wrong with wrong partakes,
That nothing stands alone,
That whoso gives the motive, makes
His brother's sin his own.
And, pausing not for doubtful choice
Of evils great or small,
He listened to that inward voice
Which called away from all.
O Spirit of that early day,
So pure and strong and true,
Be with us in the narrow way
Our faithful fathers knew.
Give strength the evil to forsake,
The cross of Truth to bear,
And love and reverent fear to make
Our daily lives a prayer!

Special Pleading

Time, hurry my Love to me:
Haste, haste! Lov'st not good company?
Here's but a heart-break sandy waste
'Twixt Now and Then. Why, killing haste
Were best, dear Time, for thee, for thee!

Oh, would that I might divine
Thy name beyond the zodiac sign
Wherefrom our times-to-come descend.
He called thee `Sometime'. Change it, friend:
`Now-time' sounds so much more fine!

Sweet Sometime, fly fast to me:
Poor Now-time sits in the Lonesome-tree
And broods as gray as any dove,
And calls, `When wilt thou come, O Love?'
And pleads across the waste to thee.

Good Moment, that giv'st him me,
Wast ever in love? Maybe, maybe
Thou'lt be this heavenly velvet time
When Day and Night as rhyme and rhyme
Set lip to lip dusk-modestly;

Or haply some noon afar,
-- O life's top bud, mixt rose and star,
How ever can thine utmost sweet
Be star-consummate, rose-complete,
Till thy rich reds full opened are?

Well, be it dusk-time or noon-time,
I ask but one small boon, Time:
Come thou in night, come thou in day,
I care not, I care not: have thine own way,
But only, but only, come soon, Time.

God Makes Changes

The very God, who never changes, orchestrates change in all things.
The entire world He rearranges, through the changes that He brings.
Even countries go through changes, as The Lord sets up new kings,
Especially those that He engages, bringing power through His wings.

God changes earth day and night, all the changes that we can see,
As He puts the sun out of sight, the day becomes very dark indeed.
Then the morning brings the light, and again its day for you and me.
Although this may seem very trite, God ordains all that we can see.

God makes changes all about us, from His Heavenly Throne on high.
He can change the earth to dust, as He chooses to close up the sky.
Gentle winds become strong gusts, as the earth becomes bone dry.
And in The Lord we place our trust, for at His will men live and die.

God changes men deep inside, the changes that do affect your life.
When in Christ you do abide, He helps you through changing strife.
By God you’ll never be denied, when you do come to Jesus Christ.
And He’ll change you for all time, when He grants you Eternal Life.

He will change your heart and mind, as He molds you like His Son,
Friend, with His Spirit you will align, as your minds become as one.
Your old nature you’ll leave behind, when evil sin you begin to shun.
For it is truly God’s original design, that all men reflect His Only Son.

Friend, God changes men forever, as He prepares them for Eternity.
The very God who changes never, changes hearts so men can see.
Even if you think you’re clever, friend you will never escape Eternity.
If His love you choose to sever, then Eternal Fire is what you’ll see.

Leave Nature's Resources With Nature

I'm one of the many who does love Nature though Nature does need every friend
Of late she is not looking healthy otherwise why should we pretend
That all is well in Nature's Garden when all is not well there at all
Our crimes against Nature are many and any crime against Nature not small.

For our senseless polluting of Nature the price yet may be huge to pay
To our Earth Mother the one who does feed us we act in a disrespectful way
We pollute our natural environment with the resources we steal from Earth Mother that does not seem clever to me
Leave Nature's precious resources with Nature at least that is how it should be.

Humankind as a species quite successful that does go without any doubt
Yet when I say to some we are not friends of Nature they say to me what are you on about
They see no wrong in digging up the ground for it's resources or stealing oil from the floor of the sea
They are entitled to their opinions though we all look at things differently.

The Polar ice caps slowly melting and climate change is Worldwide
the talks of an Economic Depression have pushed Global warming to the side
But the financial economy is built on Nature and to Nature all of us belong
And 'twould seem in our dealings with Nature that we have our priorities wrong.

I Have Praised Mother Nature

I have praised Mother Nature in ballad, song and rhyme
And writing on Mother Nature is never a waste of time
And though I am not a Burns, Francis Ledwidge or John Clare
I am one of the many about Nature who does care.

To write something on Nature is always satisfying
For Nature she has been around before creatures started flying
Her streams flow to her rivers her rivers to her oceans flow
And Nature will live forever though her Seasons will come and go.

I have praised mother Nature and her praises I'll always sing
The colours of her Seasons Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring
And though I truly love her little of her ways I know
I find her quite amazing and my wonder of her grow.

To my Goddess of Nature this rhyme I dedicate
I live in sheer awe of her of the beauty she create
She is the one immortal her beauty will live on
Long after the last human being to her reaper has gone.

The Eternal Goodness

O Friends! with whom my feet have trod
The quiet aisles of prayer,
Glad witness to your zeal for God
And love of man I bear.

I trace your lines of argument;
Your logic linked and strong
I weigh as one who dreads dissent,
And fears a doubt as wrong.

But still my human hands are weak
To hold your iron creeds:
Against the words ye bid me speak
My heart within me pleads.

Who fathoms the Eternal Thought?
Who talks of scheme and plan?
The Lord is God! He needeth not
The poor device of man.

I walk with bare, hushed feet the ground
Ye tread with boldness shod;
I dare not fix with mete and bound
The love and power of God.

Ye praise His justice; even such
His pitying love I deem:
Ye seek a king; I fain would touch
The robe that hath no seam.

Ye see the curse which overbroods
A world of pain and loss;
I hear our Lord's beatitudes
And prayer upon the cross.

More than your schoolmen teach, within
Myself, alas! I know:
Too dark ye cannot paint the sin,
Too small the merit show.

I bow my forehead to the dust,
I veil mine eyes for shame,
And urge, in trembling self-distrust,
A prayer without a claim.

I see the wrong that round me lies,
I feel the guilt within;
I hear, with groan and travail-cries,
The world confess its sin.
Yet, in the maddening maze of things,
And tossed by storm and flood,
To one fixed trust my spirit clings;
I know that God is good!

Not mine to look where cherubim
And seraphs may not see,
But nothing can be good in Him
Which evil is in me.

The wrong that pains my soul below
I dare not throne above,
I know not of His hate, - I know
His goodness and His love.

I dimly guess from blessings known
Of greater out of sight,
And, with the chastened Psalmist, own
His judgments too are right.

I long for household voices gone.
For vanished smiles I long,
But God hath led my dear ones on,
And He can do no wrong.

I know not what the future hath
Of marvel or surprise,
Assured alone that life and death
His mercy underlies.

And if my heart and flesh are weak
To bear an untried pain,
The bruised reed He will not break,
But strengthen and sustain.

No offering of my own I have,
Nor works my faith to prove;
I can but give the gifts He gave,
And plead His love for love.

And so beside the Silent Sea
I wait the muffled oar;
No harm from Him can come to me
On ocean or on shore.

I know not where His islands lift
Their fronded palms in air;
I only know I cannot drift
Beyond His love and care.

O brothers! if my faith is vain,
If hopes like these betray,
Pray for me that my feet may gain
The sure and safer way.

And Thou, O Lord! by whom are seen
Thy creatures as they be,
Forgive me if too close I lean
My human heart on Thee!

Heaven and Hell are Real

Our faith in God must come right from our hearts;
No one can see the God of creation;
We know of God certainly through Nature;
The Bible speaks enough of God’s kingdom.

Infinite love of God for man is clear;
God cares for every creature made by Him;
God punishes to cleanse our soul sin-free;
The Maker is a loving, living God.

God may permit sorrows and grief for man;
He will not give him more than he can bear;
Our God is fair and just in everything;
He made heaven for man out of great love.

Through Nature’s furies, God warns all bad men;
By stern punishments, God reminds man’s wrongs;
The love of God made man so perfectly;
The love of God wants souls to stay in grace.

Our savior Christ had bled to death on cross;
He paid a bloody price for all men’s sins;
Even the worst sinner can now see God;
Repent to enter Kingdom of heaven.

Why blame the God of love for our own faults?
Why not believe in God, rather in science?
Man’s toil per se can’t do the greatest feats;
We need God’s help to subdue the devil.

Victory against the devil is real;
All men can win the war against Satan;
Our God made hell for angels-turned devils;
But evil men will get a similar fate.

Awake, O mind, heart, soul of man on earth!
Lord Jesus comes again in short a time;
He’ll take pure souls to heaven instantly;
Unrepentant sinners will land in hell!

Afforded By God’s Transaction

Afforded in a transaction by God, on and beyond the earthly sod,
To everyone who believes by faith, to accept God’s Gift of Grace,
As a new life begins on this earth, through the power of New Birth,
A journey, when it starts my friend, in God’s Plan will have no end.

Believers who join God’s Family, will be equipped to live eternally,
Equipped beyond this mortal life, through the Savior Jesus Christ.
They become sealed in God’s Grace, at any time and in any place,
Sealed by His Spirit from above, all through God’s Amazing Love,

After in God we place our trust, our Lord sustains every one of us,
As believers live out this earthly life, through all trials and all strife,
He cares for each and every need, as we follow The Savior’s lead,
Guiding believers in Godly ways, as Christ fills our life with praise.

Within the power of Christ alone, we have access to God’s Throne,
Through our Lord’s gift of prayer, we raise to God every daily care,
The access to The Lord we gain, helps us through our darkest pain,
As we share our pain and strife, directly with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

After the life we live down here, we’ll be lifted above earth’s sphere,
To a home granted by Jesus Christ; our place with Him in Paradise,
In bodies we’ve yet to know or see, to live alongside God eternally,
As an unending life God will afford, to all who know Christ as Lord.

My soul mate

Oh soul mate of my soul it's good to share with you
things that no one else is aware of that I do.
Secrets told to Christ alone, things that hurt Him so
is it fair to bare my soul and share these secrets with you?

I've seen the anguish such sharing brings to you my dear
the tears portraying your sorrow, the pain and the fear.
It's made me realize for the very first time in my life
The pain they bring to both Jesus and to you my wife.

My life seems such a bag of worms before me now
I wish it had never been and to change myself somehow.
I want to it them to the feet of Jesus and start afresh
Determined to love you and be worthy of your faithfulness.

If it is too difficult let me know and I will spare the pain.
One word from you will end it all and silent I will remain.
I'll cease the sharing of these wretched secrets in my life
And spare you the pain and woe it brings my loving wife.

I've been so foolish and there is nothing I can say to you
I am the man I am and I'm so sorry for the things I do.
I've only partly loved you as my wife in the years past
I wish to love you with my soul with a love that will last.

I have never known loves power before I must admit
such love is so new to me but now that I've tasted it.
Please walk with me down this hard repentant road
I cannot walk it on my own and carry this awful load.

What we have been through this past few days
is awesome and bizarre caused by my awful ways.
On this switch back road we have descended so low
from such heights of bliss to this awful depths of woe.

I would love to know you as the soul mate of my life
to love you as you deserve to be my wonderful wife.
For you are the soul mate of my soul and my helpmeet
the only one for me and you make my life complete.

For Those In Christ

Only those in Christ my friend, will see eternal blessing in the end,
Only those found in Jesus Christ, won't see death, but eternal life,
The Eternal Life all souls receive, when in Christ they truly believe,
The very moment they trust in Him, Jesus, who saved us from sin.

Saved out of the world we live in, to life above, that'll soon begin,
For when this present life is no more, we begin a life, forevermore,
With The Savior, Who died for us, alive eternally with Christ Jesus,
The One Who died but rose again, to give life to all believing men.

This life begins at our last breath, as breathed; we'll see not death,
But, we shall enter into Eternity, to reside beyond that Crystal Sea,
Far into another time and place, when we behold our Savior's face,
Stepping onto that Eternal Shore, to be with The Lord forevermore.

This is why Christ came to earth, to offer mortal men Spiritual Birth,
For this is why Christ came to die, to offer eternal life, to you and I,
This is why He became a sacrifice, so we could enter into Paradise,
This was provided by God above, through Christ, to show His love.

For the love God showed to us, one must respond to Christ Jesus,
With a personal belief, through faith, to accept God's loving Grace,
A true acceptance, in your heart, and of His Church you'll be a part,
A member of the Body of Christ, knowing you'll receive Eternal Life.

A Poet’s Love

My heart is one and only one:
A furnace full of love, my own;
Despite my giving it wholesome,
It grows and tries to more blossom!

My heart has grown in size some way;
O’er-filled with love, begins to sway;
My Maker kind did full it fill,
So that I could give love at will.

A poet loves Nature so well,
In which God does always much dwell;
Almighty God, He is my Friend;
I shall love Him until my end.

My heart is one- belongs to God;
I long to live in good accord;
As men are selfish to the core,
My heart to God, I owe much more.

The things all that we do on earth
Are mainly ones which give less mirth;
It seems that good men are a dearth;
I pray that heaven stays on earth!

Our life on earth is just a phase,
To keep our soul and save our face;
If you could lift your heart beyond,
You will hear well God’s call- command!

Our earthly feat is important;
With sins, our soul turns impotent;
My talent is God-giv’n a gift;
Nurture I must or go adrift.

A man cannot serve two masters;
And if he tries, he just falters;
Love God alone and love Him well,
And earthly life will turn out swell!

My Beautiful Nature

Nature is the beauty of the earth
The essential part of life,
It is the existence of humanity
Although there is constant strife.
Nature is rather appealing
The image of its green,
The human eye can testify
Its a gracious sight to be seen
Nature gives us fruit and water
Our blessings from the holy king,
It purifies and cleanses the body and soul
Its amazing what nature can bring.
Nature is sometimes downgraded
By the evils of mankind,
But nature brings herself back up
And she will not be left behind!
I love nature and appreciate everything it gives us...you should too!
