Where Am I With All This Lostness In Me?
WHERE AM I WITH ALL THIS LOSTNESS IN ME?
Where am I with all this lostness in me?
Why can’t I be better than I am?
An old man’s meditation should be on kindness and love
And not on anger and selfish resentment?
I have failed You
But from where I am in my life
Can I really do better?
God forgive me
I am a fool.

The Face (Of Our Anger)
we rage...
lashing out in anger
at what we cant control,
what we cant seem to change,
at the loss we suffer,
at the helplessness we feel...
in bitterness looking
for a place to lay the blame.
fighting the shadows of our fears,
with the vengeance of our lostness...
afraid to open the door,
much less to walk through...
to find...
the face on the other side
of our anger,
is the same as...
the face in the mirror!

Scar
love is a scar...
a quiver of the lip
that no one sees...
a moment of lostness
you cant regain...
is an avalanche,
a hurricane, an
unnamed tear...
a moment of softness...
the rage of anger.
love is a swagger,
a limp, a dance, a curse.
the taste of lips washed
away by the rain...
love is a reason,
is madness, a hunger
that cant be fed...
love is a scar...
with your name...
written on it for
the world to see!

Sexual Whispers!
sexual whispers
'neath the shadows mingling,
the dirt and the failures,
and the phone not answered.
the fireplace gone cold,
the trees stripped bare....
the blare of the news,
cutting deep to the quick.
the anger, and the lostness,
without direction or virtue.
dust on the Bible,
a box of shells by the bed.
sexual whispers,
or just memories, and need!

On Your Date Of Birth
You got the items on your date of birth!
But, you failed to call me because,
You were very angry with me! !
However, anger always kills a fool.
The leader of light,
The love of peace,
And with my sweet muse to care for you and your children!
However, you people have now turned against me;
Because of the anger in you people! !
But, the laws are there to teach us better.
Now i know what anger brings! !
But, the muse of my love to all will be seen by all;
For, it is right to do the right things always in life!
However, i am still at the press room waiting for your call.

Kindness is the life's blood, the elixir of marriage. Kindness makes the difference between passion and caring. Kindness is tenderness. Kindness is love, but perhaps greater than love ... Kindness is good will. Kindness says, 'I want you to be happy.' Kindness comes very close to the benevolence of God.

Impressed: Anger Is a Habit
Tim LaHaye is an excellent psychologist,
he devised seven steps for curing anger,
resentment and bitterness:
Recognise anger as harmful and counter-
productive, a problem to be overcome by
achieving the victory
Clearly express anger while repeating the
decision to let go of angry thought-patterns
over and over
Forgive those who caused anger, knowing
you have done, or have the capacity to do
the same or worse
Repeat the procedure when hostile thoughts
return, giving thanks in every case of insult,
rejection and injury
Be thankful for everything as thankfulness
is therapeutic, helps to reduce the flaming
anger and brings positive thoughts
Filled with love for others, including object of
wrath - then you cannot be plagued by anger
and hostility yourself
Anger is a habit of temperament ignited by any
distress or unpleasant conditions; anger can
ruin your mind, health, business
And family life; repeat above formula when-
ever you get angry because doing it only
once cannot help immediately
The formula has to be acquired by carefully
cultivated habit which can then become
second nature

Silence Of The Grieving
i weep...
for i cannot help but feel,
the etched lines in the starving child's face,
the fear of the soldier's conscience.
the desperate blade of the homeless,
the anger of the addict...
the hatred that is poverty,
the hopelessness of the unemployed.
the slap against the face of color,
the rage of prisons, and trailer parks.
the half naked children playing with broken glass,
the kid who cant take it anymore.
the blow against those who dare to be different,
against those who dare to be what they are.
the hardened path of the single parent,
the lostness of the child who doesnt understand.
the sound the dying make when they're alone,
the labored breath of the sleepless night.
the touch of the rain on the fallen leaf,
the silence of the grieving.
i weep...

Losing Oneself At The End....
the question is, where do you go from here?
are you as confident as the river
that is sure of the sea?
a tree whose only fate is upward
a cloud whose only joy is to drift and make rain?
we are neither the trees or the rivers
or the clouds
we are beyond all these metaphors
and must answer for ourselves: where are we going?
ah, i know where i am going
do not blame me if
at the end of our destinations
we shall find nothing
do not blame me if you are lost
neither shall i blame myself for this 'lostness'
it is my essence
directions actually do not matter
look at me, i am here, i am writing and i am not going anywhere
ah, i lose myself
because i want to finally find it.

Anger will never disappear so long as thoughts of resentment are cherished in the mind. Anger will disappear just as soon as thoughts of resentment are forgotten.
The Lostness.
Mickey had locked himself
In the house and his mother
Was concerned he’d do something
To harm himself so you went
Around and knocked at the back
Door and called his name and
He said go away I don’t want to
Talk to anyone but you stayed
And persisted and he finally
Opened up and let you in and
You said why this? And he said
I’m so like my old man that I
Hate myself and he stared at
The Van Gogh print on the wall
Above the fireplace with a look
Of deep unhappiness and lostness
On his face. You are what you make
Yourself you said taking in Vincent’s
Sunflowers the way the vibrant
Picture hung there the smell of
Flowers in the late evening air.

Forgiveness
Forgiveness is an act that works through God;
Forgiveness is an act of God in man;
Forgiveness is the work of God’s great love;
Forgiveness is an art that man must learn!
Men with good sense will restrain their anger;
Such men defer their anger for long times;
To forgive transgressions is man’s glory;
To hold one’s tongue is done by people smart.
Forgiving is an act almost divine;
Forgiving is something not all can do;
Forgiving someone is too tough at times;
Forgiving fully is done by just few!
To preach is easy; forgiving is tough;
Forgiving is an honor of men wise;
If God should forgive us, we must forgive;
Like God, we must be slow to anger too.
‘Forgive those who sin against us, ’ tells Christ;
To gain God’s forgiveness, we must then, first;
There is no limit to forgive someone;
Forgiveness is a virtue Jesus taught.
One who forgives has no revenge in heart;
One who forgives has no hate from the start;
‘Forgive and God will forgive you, ’ says Lord.
Forgiving plants the seed of love of God.
When all are sinners, forgiveness is prime;
By doing so, we gain the love of God;
Through forgiveness, our tolerance will grow;
For prayers to be heard, forgive right now!
A man with grudge is like a fruitless tree!
Grudge can stand in-between you and heaven!
Spare no occasion of forgiving men;
Judge not others but show mercy on them!
We turn like God when we forgive others;
Forgiving earns more souls for God, brothers!

Selfish Acts Of Kindness
So Nice I appear,
Intentions unclear.
Expectations are placed,
but not told to your face.
my trickery in test
I pray for the best
Though the gesture was kind
It was purely mine
Doomed from the start
these things are not smart
Forever my blindness
Is my selfish acts of kindness
[Refers to selfish acts of kindness, towards other people]

Written In Human Blood
i heard you crying...
i dont know your name....
i can almost see your face,
can feel the warmth of your tears.
i felt your hunger,
twisting at my gut,
sharpening my stony glance,
and the set of my jaw.
i was driven by your lostness,
walking forever going nowhere.
with no beginning and no end,
no country, and no home.
i was angered by your scars,
could name each and every bruise.
i walked inside your chains,
in the darkness of the fog....
yet i found that still small light,
the fire that cannot be quenched.
the book of freedom in your soul....
written in human blood.....
yours, and mine!

So Little Kindness
I cant believe it after so long
How can the memories really be gone
Now I dont deny its over
But why must you be so cold
I cant believe it
So little kindness
Yeah baby thats too bad
Saw you this evening out on the town
You went outta your way just to put me down
Now why got this chip on your sholder
When I dont even love you no more
I cant belive it
So little kindness
Baby its sad
cause we cont even talk about the little things
After this love we had
So little kindness
Baby thats too bad
So sad child child
Dont worry baby
Im not gonna stand in your way
Now that its gone
Our love is strong
No matter what you say
So little kindness
Youre so blind
That you cant even recognize a real thing
When it was yours and mine
So little kindness
After all this time
So little kindness
Baby its sad
Cause we cant even talk about anything
After what we once had
So little kindness
So little kindness
So little kindness
Im looking for some kindness
I need some kindness
Can I just have some kindness
Give me some kindness

Dream In B Minor
i dreamt Jesus came back last night
& walked thru the tents & tarps
& the mud & the cholera of Haiti...
amidst the bodies & the children crying;
and He turned back towards Jerusalem,
weeping for the sins of apathy
to be crucified again.
i dreamt Jesus came back last night
& walked thru the streets & the cities of America...
thru the addiction & the poverty,
the homelessness, the prejudice, the lostness...
to the halls & cathedrals of Washington
where life is bought & sold & blood is cheaper
than oil...
& He turned away from the cross,
and went fishing!

At This Hour, It Is The Deep Of The Night
at this hour, it is the deep of the night
calm,
silent,
there is no wind blowing, i can hear the typing
of words
in this keyboard, this personal computer, writing,
because i cannot sleep, after we made love, because i am still
thinking what to do with my life,
what is the next move,
after love,
when there is no hate, because i have stopped feeling altogether
all those years,
and the years shall come slowly like some growing children
in your eyes, not seeing how the cells add to become their innocent eyes,
i am here again at midnight, then dawn,
2: 11 a.m.
that is the time here in this room
on this island
on this nook of the big, wide world,
time had made some divisions for all of us
for you it is morning, and for her it is noon,
but we are here writing at this moment for all different reasons,
some claim happiness and bliss and love and nature and hope,
i still claim my main reasons,
doubt, this sadness that has known how it is to write and be not able
to get a sound sleep, this lostness in space trying to find
where is everything
from nothing.

Wasted Life?
it's home
school home
then home
office
home
office
no other places
to go
no other places dared
some white sandy beaches
for sometime
a trek on a steep mountain
sometimes
visiting old folks
no questions asked
but only feeling also their
sense of
loneliness
or lostness in this vast
field of humanity
poetry
walk in the morning
poetry
noontime breaks
siesta
dinner with wife
and sleep
dawn breaks
stunning thoughts
arresting the self
on what next to do
home
home
home
a boring life maybe
but i think
it is not wasted.

Father's Forgiveness
Father, I want to say that
I love you,
No matter what you
Have done to my family
Or to me.
I know that you may not
Love me in return,
And that our filial relationship
May be forever damaged,
But I forgive you for all the things
That you did in the past
And even for the things you do now.
Father, even though you may be selfish
And self-absorbed and self-centred,
And greedy and pompous,
I still love you because you are my father.
My Father in Heaven wants me to love you,
And I love you as He loves you
Because He created you,
And through you and Mum,
He created me, too.
Father, Jesus also loves you,
For you are his brother,
As I am his,
And my brother is his, too,
And he loves you,
And he calls you by name, as well,
For he loves you just as your Father
And my Father—that is, Our Father,
Loves us both.
Father, I know you may not
See me as a great person,
And that I may be a failure in your eyes,
Even with my head injury,
Giving me ADD, Asperger Syndrome,
And Tourette Syndrome,
And I may be a disappointment in
Your own eyes,
I want to tell you that I am happy,
And that I love the life I live,
For my Father,
And your Father,
Has given me wisdom
And insight in which I use
To help other people.
He has given me a calling,
And I follow it because
I believe in Him,
And I love Him as I love you.
Yet, Father, I want to apologise
For the anger I held toward you,
Because the pain was great,
(And, yes, it's still there) ,
But I no longer am angry nor depressed,
Nor saddened nor hurt,
And I forgive you for all that you've done.
I forgive you for the times
That you beat on Mum,
The times that you were violent towards me,
Towards my brother,
And towards Elyse.
I forgive you.
I forgive you for
Making fun of my disability,
And I forgive you for verbally abusing me,
And I forgive you for punching me sporadically,
And for spanking me every time
I got a ‘bad-boy' note when
I came home from kindergarten.
I forgive you for throwing Sean in a chair
And for all the times you
Hit him and beat on him,
And for the times you verbally abused him,
And for the times you mocked him
When he was trying to learn how to read.
I forgive you for the wrongs you
Did toward Elyse,
Including your impatience,
Your lack of courtesy,
Your lack of generosity,
And even the thing you did
In the shower,
Which is a taboo
To this day.
I also forgive you for the things you did
To the friends you made in life,
And to my cousins,
Albeit male or female,
To my aunts and uncles,
To your own brothers and sisters,
And to anyone else you may have wronged.
Father, I forgive you for hurting Mum,
For maiming her in front of us,
For committing adultery,
For cheating on her,
For lying to her,
For stealing from her,
For the hatred you bestowed on her.
I forgive you for all the lies you told us,
And I forgive you for all the anger you held,
All the actions and wrongs you committed,
For the profanity that came from your mouth,
And for your lack of self-control.
Father, I even forgive you for the wrongs you
Do now,
Including hurting Elyse verbally,
Many a time,
And hurting Mum indirectly
Or directly,
And Stefanie,
Either way.
Father, what is the past is the past,
And I love you greatly,
For you are my father,
And I will never forget you.
You are the father who joined my mother
And made me through the Father's Will,
And I will always love you,
No matter who you are,
Or what you've done,
I will love you unconditionally,
And I will give you my life,
If needbe.
I do not know if you are happy, Father,
And I do not know if you are miserable,
But, please, if at all possible,
Even though I forgave you,
And still love you,
It is not enough for your soul,
So, if you can,
Just realise that you are loved,
And realise that God loves you,
And wants you in His family,
And that Jesus wants you,
Even after all these years of
Going astray,
And that you can recognise this
And repent so that
You can truly be in the Heart of Christ.
Father, I love you,
And always will love you,
And I forgive you for all that you have done,
And now, it is time for you to make an action,
And I hope you can make the best of it.
I love you, Dad,
And never will stop loving you.
