All the heaviness of the heart wears not, like, rising the carousing sun,
Spills rainbow jewels, on the blade of every grass and leaf undone,
Curbed by things low and mean, pebbles hurled over water,
To even out the seams of the creased uneven world's border,
Like clouds surmounts lofty peaks, attempts things above its strength,
Untangled in any tempting prosperity breaking through the reserve of mine,
Pleading no excuse of impossibility, tossed to the wind claim the pollen,
Seeing things to their end, unruffled by the mock of the bow of heaven,
Where others would faint and fall, fear urges on, without despair,
Weary but not tired, to press on towards the sea, like the river,

Things ripen or go dry. Light plays on the
dark surface of the lake. Each afternoon
your shadow walks beside you on the wall,
and the days stay long and heavy underneath
the distant rumor of the harvest. One
more summer gone,
and one way or another you survive,
dull or regretful, never learning that
nothing is hidden in the obvious
changes of the world, that even the dim
reflection of the sun on tall, dry grass
is more than you will ever understand.

There Was A Time
There was a time when the wide world
seemed immense, when every tree
was gigantic, streams were like rivers
with something celestial
that touching my eyesight
when I was but a child
but now as a man
it’s with different eyes that I look
and although things have taken
their normal size
there are still things that are sublime
that I at times comprehend.
The rainbow with its bright colours
that arc above the earth,
has a kind of magic
which science explains,
but still there’s a kind of mystery
that nothing can really measure.
The rising sun that paints the sky
and clouds in its loveliness,
even the moon and stars
have an own influence
on feelings, on well being
as if in their presence they can bless.

Who of us can escape death's scene
and if we could what would it mean?
Having to face a world gone mad
that can't seem to understand good from bad.
All of the ones that you held dear
gone beyond to a place you fear?
And if we do, who shall we blame?
Those that have taught us as we grew
all the things that we should do.
Things like hate and things to fear,
things like ageing with each new year,
