Begging words
Sitting on the surface of paper
words have begged
from the Emotion to suffer
Distracted mind is helpless
Waiting scattered
and talking about past moments..
Memories out of the corridor
incomplete desires are
raining rediculasly
evening of Beauty
Washed aside by flying
Agile dust crossing the circles to
take away day's shine

The Past
Looking back, looking at you
Loving you alone not even a few,
Waiting there, waiting for you,
Like a man in a long queue
I knew my love was due,
I sworn not to love a few,
But to love only you
The moments we had did last,
Looking at you, looking at the past,
It was love, it was never lust,
The wonderful momentss in the dust,
And the dances in the grass,
The kisses in the mist,
Yes those I do miss,
The moments of laughter and peace,
With great precision and bliss,
Its the past, never did it last
Thinking you, seeing the past
By then we thought it could last,
The love just pure and vast,
In my mind you were the first,
Among the loved you were the most,
Its a phase, its the past
You made us damp and we had rust,
In my mind you are now the last,
It was love by then, it is the past

Lover
I scattered your words across the beach tonight
under a three quarter moon
while gentle waves lapped at my toes
and the whole evening seemed to vibrate
The words, you had written urgently
on plain white paper
so filled with emotion
and longing
astounded me; resounded in my soul
The love you spelled out so plainly
I never knew
a feeling so raw, the depth of your heart
And it was then I tore the pages from your notebook
tore and scattered them into the thick, salty August night
sorry I had found them
words to break my heart
those achingly beautiful words
written for another lover

Asking Myself Why
I sat down to write a letter
to an old friend of mine,
someone I had not seen
for thirty or forty years.
Only realizing as I put pen to paper
how the years had flown by,
though it only seem like yesterday
we had met on the street
and had a long chat together.
I realized then to my regret
that I did not know if
they were alive or dead.
If they were gone,
yet another thread to my past
had disappeared forever.
A curtain of sadness fell over me
as my memories re-enacted
moments from so long ago,
moments that will never return.
My pen hovered above the paper
and no words could I write
as my mind clouded with memories
of friends I had let go.
It's so easy to say see you later,
when half the time we never do.
Then comes today like now
and you realise there maybe no later.
Those friends of yesterday maybe gone
and only reside within your memories.
Tears glazed my eyes
and I gave a silent sigh.
I wondered how may more times
will I ask myself why
in the passing of time.
Why I just sat and let them go.

The Importance Of Being Idle
I sold my soul for the second time
Cos the man, he don't pay me
I begged my landlord for some more time
He said Son, the bills waiting
My best friend called me the other night
He said Man, are you crazy?
My girlfriend told me to get a life
She said boy, you lazy
But I don't mind
As long as there's a bed beneath the stars that shine
I'll be fine
If you give me a minute
A mans got a limit
You cant get a life if your hearts' not in it
I don't mind
As long as there's a bed beneath the stars that shine
I'll be fine
If you give me a minute
A mans got a limit
I cant get a life if my hearts' not in it
I lost my faith in the summertime
Cos it don't stop raining
The sky all day's as black as night
But I love complaining
I begged my doctor for one more line
He said Son, words fail me
It ain't no place to be killing time
But I guess I'm just lazy
I don't mind
As long as there's a bed beneath the stars that shine
I'll be fine
If you give me a minute
A mans got a limit
I cant get a life if my hearts' not in it

Return Post
(v. peterson/s. hoffs)
Vicki
Writing the lines as they come to me
Scratching them out almost immediately
Dont know what its done to me
Its cold and its wet its been raining all night
And theres a letter Ive been trying to write
Something better waiting somewhere for me
One of them is sitting on the wrong coast
One awaits an answer by return post
Waiting, waiting
Try to remember how long its been
There was more to us than paper and pen
Think how easy it is to conceal
And I know when were together again
Well be strangers for an hour and then
Well have to figure out if this thing is real
One of them is sitting on the east coast
One awaits an answer by return post
Waiting, waiting
Take a drink and staring out the window
Wondering how long this can continue
Waiting, waiting

Helpless
Helpless, helpless, helpless, helpless
I thought about it but I couldnt think of what to say
But I thought about it anyway.......yeah
I tried to tell you what you mean to me
But it didnt come so easily..........no
I never reckoned
For more than a second
Just how it would be on my own
Id be helpless, without you
Id be helpless, without you
The dawn that calls beyond the night
Tells its old story.
The shadows fade into the light
In all its glory.
Helpless
Helpless baby Im a helpless
Helpless baby
Im a helpless
If I could put a good shine on the past
Do you think that we could make it last - oh yeah
Seems to mind the time goes fast
I wonder if the vote is cast
Now that you mention it,
Got my attention
I quite clearly blew me away
Id be helpless, without you
Id be helpless, without you
The dawn that calls beyond the night
Tells its old story.
The shadows fade into the light
In all its glory.
Helpless
Helpless baby Im a helpless
Helpless baby
Im a helpless, without you
Id be helpless, without you
Helpless, helpless, helpless, helpless

There is a town in north ontario
Dream comfort memory despair
And in my mind I still need a place to hide
All my changes were there
Blue blue windows behind the stars
Yellow moon on the rise
Big birds flying across the skies
Casting shadows in our eyes
Leave us helpless helpless helpless helpless
Helpless helpless they leave me now
Helpless helpless helpless
Blue blue windows behind the stars
Yellow moon on the rise
They leave us
Helpless helpless helpless helpless
Helpless helpless they leave me now
Helpless helpless helpless
Helpless helpless helpless helpless
Helpless helpless they leave me now

The Writings Of A Writer
When my life is in despair
Against the wall I stand
And out the window stare
Towards the soft clouds
That seem to drift over head
Then in my mind a thought
Buds and blooms into an inspiration
My hand reaches out for papers and pen
Then as thoughts materialize in my mind
Words to describe it become frequent
Then with pen in hand and paper against the wall
I begin to describe everything my mind saw
Things of beauty, things grotesque
Moments of happiness, moments of stress
All captured within an inspiration
After a moments thought
And put down on paper
As a poem, book or a song
After it has been manipulated into shape
Within all the tenderness it can get
The format is laid out and the final closing set

Heart Of Poetry
The mystery of words wisdom of the heart to each
angelic form, the voice of emotion in verse.
The melody of heart speak in words that feels the
emotion to express the deepness of feeling in the mind.
Thoughts of words flow to the emotion to make meaning,
to the essence that moves, sensitivity inside emotion
through the words.
Intellect of mind with the knowledge of experience power of
wisdom transcend to composition to unlock the perfect will of
words justify hidden truth.
The magnificent power compose words gives roots
blossom to the garden of heart and bring fruits to the heart of men.
Love kind words are power to win oneself to transform the
beauty of inside emotion to one particular individual.
The poetry, words of wisdom comes from inner motives of
good heart that gives us privilege to express the hidden
beauty of thoughts inside mind to put it in words.
The power to dominate inside individual for beauty and

Words on paper
Words on paper
~
Just words on paper
Where a story is told
An emotion revealed
Or a love laid to rest
Where a dream begins
An ambition is spoken
Perhaps a whim of fancy
Takes charge of the pen
To write what is written
Letters forming words
Shapley and beautiful
Expressions of a soul
Or a mind at play
There across the page
Words on paper
Written to have their say

A accountant at a transport company
Figures on paper glare at me
with the sun hanging bright in a blue sky,
while busses and lories drive past the whole time.
Outside vehicles are parked in rows and shine
and drivers walk about talking
where we are camped in, behind rusting wire and zinc.
When the managing director looks in he wants
me to make changes, to do an act of fraud.
Figures on paper glare at me
with a bonus waving,
and my name, my integrity is at stake
and drivers walk about talking
and I wonder how to get out of this trap
when I catch the eye of the managing director’s charming daughter
while busses and lories drive past the whole time.
I again check calculations, re-determine and add
and I keep things correct
and my name, my integrity is at stake.
The managing director wants the final figures,
he makes threats and his temper is just under control.
Figures on paper glare at me
while I complete the financial statements
and thousands of things go through my mind
and I keep things correct
and the day rushes past
the managing director’s daughter winks at me, walks down the passage
while busses and lories drive past the whole time,
sirens are ringing in the distance and the wall-clock ticks off the last minutes
and I know that I can loose my job
and thousands of things go through my mind
when the girl walks in with eyes cutting into my soul,
say that her dad is waiting and I feel like caught in web.
Figures on paper glare at me
while busses and lories drive past the whole time
and I hear excited voices in the managing director’s office.
Outside vehicles are parked in rows and shine
and I know that I can loose my job,
where we are camped in, behind rusting wire and zinc.

Talking Book
I wish I had a talking book
That told me how to act and look
A talking book that contained keys
To past and present memories
A talking book that said your name
So if you were gone, youd still remain
More than a picture on a shelf
In imagination I could touch
A talking, talking book
I wish I had a talking book
Filled with buttons you could push
Containing looks and sights, your touch
Your feel, your breath, your sounds, your sighs
How much Id bluster to ask it why
One must live and one must die
I wish I had a talking book
By my side so I could look
And touch and feel and dream, a look
Much bigger than a talking book
A taste of loving future and past
Is that so much to really ask
In this one moments time and space
Can our love really be replaced
By a talking book
Can our love really be replaced
By a talking book
Can our love really be replaced
By a talking book
Can our love ever, forever be replaced
Can our love ever be replaced
Can our love ever be replaced
(can our love really be replaced)
By a talking book

One By One
Bobby lakind/michael mcdonald
Where and why Im destined to go
Right here and now thats all I know
On either side future or past
Neither is real both fade so fast
So one by one were given these moments to live just as one by one theyre taken away
So one by one Im taking each day in my stride
And one by one the memories stay
Good times are still there to find
When times are their worst
Keep your eyes open wide
cause through it all are moments that shine
And moments that glow
Im gonna be there for mine
So one by one were given these moments to live just as one by one theyre taken away
So one by one Im taking each day in my stride
And one by one the memories stay
Even when youre close to a dream
It can still let you down
Youll always have a chance to give up
So why do it now
So one by one were given these moments to live just as one by one theyre taken away
So one by one Im taking each day in my stride
And one by one the memories stay

It's Raining Red
It's raining, it's raining, it's raining red
I blasted a hole
Right through my head
It's raining, it's raining, it's raining red
I'm so relieved
I'm finally dead
It's raining, it's raining, it's raining red
I was killed by the lies
I was always fed
It's raining, it's raining, it's raining red
It's over I'm gone
So forget what I said

Words Fell Down
Written by ricky & marty wilde
I wake up in the morning, looking for reaction
Then I see your faces, only for fraction
Did you hurt my feelings ? you just nailed me to the wall
Never say youre sorry, never show emotion
Never show a good hand, never give a notion
Dont you feel its obscene ? do you feel a thing at all ?
Chorus:
cos you come right back with the same old story
Words fell down
Words fell down
You walk right back to the sound of glory
Words fell down
Words fell down
Oh, oh, oh, its so helpless
Oh, oh, oh, its so helpless, its so helpless
Always a deceiver, never any answers
Living in the shadows, taking any chances
When you get a good line, come and talk in to my face
Chorus
You fight right back with the same reaction
Words fell down
Words fell down
The same old show with the same old caption
Words fell down
Words fell down
Oh, oh, oh, its so helpless
Oh, oh, oh, its so helpless, its so helpless

Because There Is Really No One There At 11: 30 In The Evening
when sleep does not visit you
till 11: 30 in the evening
you take your time waiting for it
as you dabble in poetry
here is a friend that understands you
and listens to what you are talking
in that cautious silence of his metaphors
the evening becomes a romance of one soul
and one body all contented in the grace
and beauty of the gift of thoughts
and words
he toasts that imagined glass of wisdom
filled with that wine of air
and then the laughter that spreads
that no one hears

Constant Time
Time past and the future give way to this present picture,
But can somebody tell me how to recognize that gate that leads to the bed of roses,
We speak about the future like the past is a grain of sand on the shore,
Washed away by the ocean tide,
Giving way to new grains to make a portrait of the present,
These past memories stay deep in our heart like the depths of the ocean,
Though it gets washed back to shore ones in a blue moon,
Reminding us that our past is a standard measurement of our strength,
Time moves so fast making the past to fade away,
this makes us seem so secured about the present,
Forgetting the fact that our present becomes our past that was once a present from nature as a new day,
Some take the future to be a dream and a wish,
But I take my future to be what I see when I stand from the bottom of the mountain to look at the top,
And my past to be the depth of the ocean that can always be washed ashore …
The only thing I can control is my present,
Yes cos my mind controls my hands to give you a flash of what goes on in my head
Like this words i write to you was once my future and will become my past, making my future my past and my past my future..So ironical isn’t it?
Standing here I sure know 1 thing,
I will reach the top by that foot path,
Yes of course it’s not to mean that I wouldn’t fall,
But I have to break myself off my present past and walk with grace to stand where I belong,
There where I am the king of my destiny,
The past is just going to be a page of memories,
And my future will become my present making time constant in my head,
Because I stand on my past which was once my present and my present which was once my future, making time equal and constant
As I flip thru this page of life,

Heaven Is Waiting
(pilson, parrish, hendrix)
Oh yeah
Old temptations
New frustrations
Open up your eyes
Lets get high on new sensations
Let your spirits fly
Everybodys crazy
Youve got to find a way
Weve got to come together
Let me hear you say
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Shine on, baby
In a world of
Self destruction
No one ever wins
You see
Revolutions
No solution
The answer lies within
Were crying out for freedom
Well find it someday
Weve got to come together
Just dont be afriad
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
On and on
Heaven is waiting
All shine on
And on
Heaven is waiting
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Heaven is waiting
And well all live on
Heaven is waiting
And well all shine on
Heaven is waiting--all shine on
(repeat)
Heaven is waiting--and well all shine on

Sitting In The Palmtree
See me sitting in the palmtree
Looking down at people passing by
Sitting here no-one can harm me
They just stare at me and wonder why
No need to bother, Im gonna stay up here
Whatever happens, I wont let no-one near
Until you tell me, jeanie jeanie on my mind, wont you please
You really love me, jeanie jeanie youre so fine, yes you are now
And in the evening, when the sun goes down
Ill be the bluest of men in this town
cause I love you, jeanie jeanie on my mind
See me sitting in the palmtree
Waiting for those little words from you
People laugh and point their fingers
Like I was a monkey at the zoo
But I will stay here, among my coconuts
So you will know dear, youre everything Ive got
Now wont you tell me, jeanie jeanie on my mind
Winds blow, stars glow, I see a light in a window
Dark trees, soft breeze, carry my message to her please
See me sitting in the palmtree
Feeling angry at the silly crowd
No-one else but you can calm me
You should know by now Im far too proud
I need to show you, Ive got my feelings too
You shouldnt treat me like you always do
So wont you tell me, jeanie jeanie on my mind, wont you please
You really love me, jeanie jeanie youre so fine, yes you are now
And in the evening, when the sun goes down
Ill be the bluest of men in this town
cause I love you, jeanie jeanie on my mind
Jeanie jeanie youre so fine
Jeanie jeanie on my mind
Jeanie jeanie youre so fine

Jeanie jeanie youre so fine
