Individually
That roasting night
when honeyed moon hung high
weaving a humming sound
I spoke to clouds.
It happens every night,
when smoke rises to discover the pain
of a falling star.
I start making a god from earth and water.
The colors will come from golden tears
and eaten heart.
From wooden legs and black widows,
from an embattled dream.
The day rises with the mute songs
of unread thoughts.
You reach your otherself
by a back door of hunger.

Strong Black Woman
I am
a black woman strong
beyond definition
standing tall by my words
humming a song to defy my place
and claim my space till time
looks on me with tears
and renew itself
I am a black woman
poised to vanquish night
and usher in the day
veer the wind southward
that moist clouds rise for me
to feel joy that kindles blue meridian skies
I am a black woman
fulfilling my call
as a strong black woman
never to bow nor bend to heartaches and
the pain that brings tears to eyes
I am a black woman
still carrying the warm smiles of my youth
I am a black woman
gathering my songs into fiery Zulu spears
to kill tears still dancing on our foreheads
and when morning star rises tomorrow
everything will be bright before us
because yesterday ended last night

Fire By Night, Smoke By Day
It's fire by night and smoke by day
As we lay in our beds just thinking away
We wake in the morning to do what they say
It's fire by night and it's smoke by day
The sun starts to rise and the birds start to sing
We worry about what to do, what to wear and what to bring
We make a to-do list filled with everything
Just like the summer, the winter, the fall and the spring
Fire by night, smoke by day
There's nothing left to blow it away
Our day carries on as we're stuck to the clock
A slave to the ways of the tic and the toc
We carry a key but there isn't a lock
Trying to discover what is already lost
Fire by night, smoke by day
There's nothing left to blow it away
We wait for the water to wash it away
It's fire by night, smoke by day
Our thoughts start to wander as night settles in
Engaged in a fight we're not ready to win
As we wait for a new tomorrow to begin
The fire starts burning all over again
Fire by night, smoke by day
There's nothing left to blow it away
We wait for the water to wash it away
It's fire by night, smoke by day

Sun rises and all wake up
The Sun rises and all wake up
And engaged in their works
The Sun rises and knowledge spread
Smile entire creation
The Sun rises and eyes opened
The sun rises and sucks water
To return the same in multiple colors
The sun is the soul of entire world.

This Is The Night
This is the night when in the ancient Past,
The Herder Star embarked to meet the Weaving One;
In its sweet remembrance the wave rises high in the River of Heaven. [39]
Even so swells my heart to see the famous book.
The answer was:
The star gods meet on the shore of the Heavenly River,
Like theirs full of ecstasy is my heart
And grave things of daily life are forgotten
On the night your message comes to me.

Safe Place
There exists someplace a mountain, golden hued and a forest of
Trees, their branches sturdy and long-
Trying to reach the heavens where
Stars dance in the moonlit hours and
Gulls fly, their bodies casting shadows
Against the topaz-blue creek below-
Beautiful in their innocence-
Here gentle breezes would rustle tall grasses, and
Rain never falls upon this magical kingdom of nature-
I feel as if I can almost touch the rising sun that shines
Brightly over fields of dew-kissed grass upon
This blissful, faraway place where
I am alone and omnipotent at the end of my journey to
Escape the pain of veracity-
Having found a safe empire in my solitude-
Far from the nightmares of reality-
Though sadly- only in my fondest reverie;
There exists a mountain golden hued where
I can, along with the trees, their branches sturdy and long-
Reach the heavens during moonlit hours and
Dance with the stars in this blissful, far away place-
Here, in my dream state I have hitched a ride upon the tail of a shooting star, and
Looking down upon the topaz-blue creek below-
My tears would fall as would raindrops making flowers and grass grow tall-
I would weep tears of dismay because I find that I cannot escape what is real-
I have found the world to be a dangerous place and as the sun rises
All that I can do is to watch the gulls soar across the sky
Amazingly spectacular in their flight for freedom, as they
Journey further into the sky until they disappear behind clouds of misfortune-
When the sun sets, my spirit awakens,
Finding myself standing atop that same golden hued mountain alone while
The moon rises above the trees and I can imagine safe places
In the universe beyond the stars with hope that before the sun rises at
The dawning of another day, once again my fantasies shall carry me away to where
I can once again hear the gulls calling amidst a gentle breeze and
There are no more tears left for me to cry-
I have escaped reality forever, though only within a dream?

Disappearance
It is doubtless
Like the sun rises up
Tomorrow in the eastern sky
Though you left
Saying return to night
Not an absence journey
Has been placed and gone
Gazing yet desperately but with hopes
From that day to today
As well used to
In a night; perhaps in a midnight
You will knock at the door
Murmuring a stanza in a song
My soul in sick
Burning in fire with night mares
It is a rainless thunder in white night
Make me afraid
It is sure
You will arrive
But I don't ask or tell
Where have you been and happened
What is said to your smile?
I am in a doubt for one thing;
Last the day of full moon
Night was so dark and silence
Moon did not appear even a star
But I hope you will appear
My son the moon

Early Moon
This poem is short,
As the moon rises fast,
But with it comes dreams,
That will, always last.
And as it shines,
The white brilliance down,
The Heavens are silent,
The Moon wears the crown.
And as it so rises,
At half past three, that's late!
This early moon,
Fills the dinner plate.
And as we so see,
That, sensational glint,
High up in the sky,
The Moon even gives, a slight golden tint.

The Sun Still Rises
The sun still rises in dawn display,
The moon still traverses the sky
And earth spin from night to day.
The oceans still toss spumes of spray,
I still breath, heart still beat,
Blood course inexorably on its way.
But my world has frozen, stilled,
A photographic unthawed moment,
Etched in acid that cannot move on.
Is this the glaciated shock of death?
That numbs, immobilizes thought.
And eyes once warm and loving
Turned to mirrors of hardened water.
To pour these bitter salted tears.
To ask why the sun still rises?

Locked
Stealing stones from skinny faces
snipers scratch the colors
of a withered moon at night.
It was anti-rape rally, the footsteps
falling in unison, the blood running out
of strange fruits
and we topple the golden grass under
the toes, hissing at tall trees who could
not protect us from descending fog.
There was no truce. They will not
lay down the arms on table before
sun rises to resuscitate.
The pilot has died on controls. Snarled-up
fingers will not let go the wheels.
The pain has no other name.

Chirping Birds
the morning here
is always the sound of chirping birds
because the trees
have been their homes at night
when the sun rises
the birds fly away again
and when the sun fades
they come back
to their nests
and home
the night hums the song of silence
bird's eyes closing again
to the golden sheen
of the bright moon
the white owl flaps its wings
on a nocturnal adventure
in harmony with the bats
friends of the night
some shadows lurk in the night
in the pursuit of happiness
some souls are restless
on dreams unfulfilled
some wake up dwindling at dawn
opening the fridge for a glass of cold water
switches on the computer
and begin again
anew to another poem

When The Sun Goes Down
Written by billy burnette and rick vito.
When the sun goes down and the moon shines bright
Honey if you call my name, I will take away your pain
I will take good care of you tonight
Somebody broke your heart, tore your world apart
But thats all over, its a brave new day
Somebody made you cry, took away your pride
But thats all over, lets be on our way
When the sun goes down and the moon shines bright
In my arms its safe and warm, I give you shelter from the storm
I will take good care of you tonight
Somebody made you sad, treated you so bad
But thats all over- I wont let you down
Well he was just a fool, wonder why so cruel
But youll forget him, when I come around
When the sun goes down and the moon rises high
Honey open up your door and you wont have to hurt no more
I will take good care of you tonight
Well step out of the shadows, let the night begin
When you hear me knockin, let me in
When the sun goes down and the moon shines bright
Honey if you call my name, I will take away your pain
I will take good care of you tonight
When the sun goes down and the moon rises high
In my arms its safe and warm, I give you shelter from the storm
I will take good care of you tonight
Hurry, open up your door and you wont have to hurt no more
I will take good care of you tonight

My Rainbow is Overdue
I'm searching for a rainbow
Everytime I look up to the blue sky
I can't find any bright colors
Becuz I'm blinded by the tears I cry
It stoped raining and the sun is shining
But there is no rainbow in sight
Soon the sun will set in the horizon
And all the world will slumber in the night
But I will lie awake wondering
Just where is my silver lining in the sky
There are no rainbows or bright colors
And I can't figure out why
So since its night I'll look at the stars
I'll study the brightness of the moon
And I know that once the storm passes
My rainbow will appear soon
But there are to many demons
That turn bright colors into black
My demon is a filthy animal
He's just a monkey on my back
The demon appears in darkness
Thats why I can't sleep
So I light a match and take a hit
And smoke the demon while I weep
But I'm tired of the high
I want to get high on life
The demons must die
Kill them with a big bloody knife
When I'm free from addiction
Maybe I'll spot an angel in the sky
I'll be able to finally see my rainbow
Becuz there won't be tears in my eyes
The rainbow will shine brighter than before
And I'll be able to share the colors with you
I'm fighting the demons and I know I can win
Becuz my rainbow is way overdue

Heavenly night
In the milky night
the diamond moon glistens on
the silver lakes reflects
the power of twinkling stars! !
The smell of jasmine which
maketh the insects sit upon
the breezy wind peeps into my ear
to wakeup at the milky night alone
is wonderful and charm! !
The golden leaves falls from the tree
looks as going in the chilly air
as angels flies in the moon lit night! !
The melodies of trees chirping sounds of air
call me remembering the sound of salangai
worn by woman! !
The night birds sing the songs I am delighted
enjoyed standing in the chilly air beneath the moon lit night! !
Let the heavenly night wake me up
And I am delighted to stand under the moon lit night! ! !
(Salangai woman wear in their legs which gives beautiful sound

Seeking
The falling poem was
in bruising gamble of winter
of troubled life,
bound to a staircase:
up and down
up and down,
on the rosette of grieving thighs.
From sunset to sunset
a moon rises in all its glory
as the night flows in crevices of thoughts.
Will you lift the veil from the golden face
and sacrifice the lamb?
The infinite was waiting to come out of crotch.

Black and White
My world is black and white,
The colors I see is black and white,
Hold me tight,
Don’t let me go,
See the tears I have cried,
Listen to my cry,
Look into my eyes,
My world is black and white,
Cut my wrist,
Black my eyes,
Blacken these thoughts I think of,
Black and white is all I can see,
The tears is all I can feel,
Feel me fading away,
Watching myself falling apart,
Look deep into my eyes,
Can you see me,
Can you feel the pain I feel,
I don’t understand why I am feeling this sad,
All the moments that once we shared has faded away like others have,
I never did tried to see the beyond the black and white clouds,
I need to face what I have become,
I need to find my way back,
The black and white is all I can see and feel,
My world has been black and white.

Moon Johnny's Gun
Moon Johnny's gun -
Bound up brass, shots burst bright eye of yellow sun;
Moon coils heavy rope, that boils the living water.
Comets fly by moons cheek, with love in a white
hail of bullets; heavens hand props pale moon on
cotton clouds, as moon rises, and then rests in honor.
New moon colors the eye, Johnny sleeps under the sky.

A Paper Boat On A Murky River
on your hand is a paper boat
you made last night
on a rainy day like this
you put on a gray rain coat
the river rises
perfect for your scheme
you put the boat gently
on the brown water
white paper boat
carried by this murkiness
your hands push
the paper boat leaves
tonight you sleep on
the wooden floor
it is mahogany brown and you
become the paper boat
sailing inside your dream
the floor becomes the big river
your thoughts become the wind
your eyes become two moons
the room is as dark as the night
the dream is so alive like a mother's song.

Pennine Sunset
The sun sets over the western hills
Infusing the low clouds, blood red.
The wind gently plys her deft fingers
Making dry grasses rap at her touch;
Rippling through the scant leaves,
Who bravely cling to bared branches
The last of summers children,
Soon to die, return to black earth.
The slow northern twilight
Diffuses in the autumn mist
The cool night descends velvet
The moon rises ascendant
To rule her nocturnal realm.

Moon Dream
To sleep, lying on my cozy bed,
All mundane thoughts I shed.
Through the window I observed
The full Moon shining swerved,
And raced among the clouds floating,
With a many hued aura surrounding.
I pictured Neil Armstrong on the Moon,
And went into a trance pretty soon.
I saw craters strewn and mountains,
There was no water or oxygen for existence.
On the Moon it was a bizarre experience,
As it was dark with no luminescence.
I wandered around the Moonscape,
And found no waxing or waning in shape.
On the terrain of the Moon, I felt less weight,
Because the gravitational pull is less, I was light.
During day the temperature rises to 100 degrees C,
And in the night it cools down to minus 160 degrees C.
I was wearing suitable suits fortunately,
And could withstand the weather effortlessly.
From there I looked down upon the Earth,
It was sure the Blue planet of worth.
The Moon is devoid of the beauteous Nature,
Which the Earth is endowed with, in its stature.
The varied life forms on Earth are all absent,
The love and affection on Earth are not present.
As a child the Moon which I longed for and desired,
Has not a soul and is an unfriendly place, not admired.
Feeling the warm rays of the morning Sun in actuality,
I wake up from my dream on the Moon to reality!

Love Aches
Have you ever craved the waves of flowers perfume
That float in the garden of roses under the moon sheen loom
They come and go whence no one knows at night gloom
As spring renewed his reign in colors and in splendor bloom
Thoughts of sadness wave and sail in my mind
They come and go leaving memories of pain and agony behind
Like that keen fragrance in the garden, born on the wings of soft wind
And yet none of the flow of thoughts is soft, soothing or kind
But in the instant the thoughts of air remain
To ignite the memory I knew of laughter and of joyful pain
Of times unlike now that will not come again.
The mountains of aching thoughts the earth under heavy clouds of rain
I try to catch and subdue my mind of these many tunes
Like tears of light fallen from the forlorn moon,
Flattened, scattered and bright on a dark lagoon,
Where high reeds lull and sway by echoing duns
But my mind is dissolved under such bare
My anguish floats away, I am too timid, for who can hold
The pain of Youth, the perfume of a flower or a moon so bold?
Where one can ask the strength to dare?
