Truth
I screamed when everyone was quiet
I laughed when everyone had cried
I slept after I had awoken
And lived right after I had died

My dear Kitty
That day I found you
That day I became blue
The day I was balling
the day my heart was falling
That day you was leaving
Was my first day of grieving
That day you looked me in the eyes
Was the day I heard your cries
The day you died
Was the first time I cried
The day I had to bury you
It was the hardest thing to let go of you.
That day I screamed dont die
Was the day I left you lie....
That day the dog bite you
was the day I almost killed him
That day you died.
Was not the last day I cried
The day God had set for you
Was the day I will never forget who,
That day I let you out,
was the day I found out
How much I regret it,
For I must admit
I miss you sooo,
That Its jus to hard to show.
That day you died
Was not the first or last time I cried!

Just Friends
John klenner / samuel m. lewis
Just friends
Lovers no more
Just friends
But not like before
To think of what weve been
And not to kiss again
Seems like pretending
It isnt the ending
Two friends
Drifting apart
Two friends
But one broken heart
We loved we laughed we cried
Then suddenly love died
The story ends
And were
Just friends
We loved we laughed and we cried
Then suddenly love died
The story ends
And were
Just friends

A Purple Hat Box
I had worries, worries had me,
so I packed ‘em up and stowed 'em away.
I kept the worries at bay, you might say.
The trouble was they bugged me,
they screamed and itched and tugged me!
So I put them in a box.
It was a deep, purple hat box.
Some days I'd forget about them,
but then I'd remember and peep inside.
The worries glared at me with their big pop eyes!
They laughed at me, taunted me,
they were wild.
They talked in my head all day and all night.
They were stalking me!
Something had to be done
I opened the box again, threw them in,
nailed the lid down, real tight,
sat on the box and sighed.
The worries cried for mercy one more time
and then, guess what…………?
They died.

I Was The One
(words & music by schroeder - demetruis - blair - peppers)
I was the one who taught her to kiss
The way that she kisses you now.
And you know the way she touches your cheek,
Well, I taught her how.
I was the one who taught her to cry
When she wants you under her spell.
The sight of her tears drives you out of your mind,
I taught her so well.
And then one day
I had my love as perfect as could be.
She lived, she loved, she laughed, she cried,
And it was all for me.
Ill never know who taught her to lie.
Now that its over and done,
Who learned the lesson when she broke my heart?
I was the one.
And then one day
I had my love as perfect as could be.
She lived, she loved, she laughed, she cried,
And it was all for me.
Ill never know who taught her to lie.
Now that its over and done,
Who learned the lesson when she broke my heart?
I was the one.

Where You Laughed I Cried
Where you laughed I cried
Where you lived I died
What you confirmed I denied
And all the words merely froze
To utter no sound nothing to disclose
It was me against you
Facing the wall of ‘I-owe-you'
But was there anything more to give
Was there anything more to receive
An Act stood open unfinished
The drama of a king and queen banished
And a tired playwright
Putting his pencil down
Merely lost in paper night
All he left was this wretched poem crown

Lahore
The city
Where I lived the pinnacle of my life
Wandered through the notorious streets
Inhaled smoke of petrol and hashish
Wrote my poems on its walls and gates
Loved the western charm of eastern beauties
Saw misery dancing on weak faces day and night
Witnessed pious bodies at sale on roads each midnight
Laughed at my helplessness when called overqualified
Cried with saints and poets every Thursday night
The city
Where a man committed suicide
Because he couldn’t feed his child
I lived here and survived
The bomb blasts, wars and disasters
But I died the moment
When one of my city fellows said
“You are not one of us as you were migrated here”

After
After us, what then?
Will the earth go on
and never end?
All that grew under the sun
every last thing, every last one
will change for a while
until we know
the way the earth needs us
to help it grow.
We plant the flowers.
We plant the seed.
So all that live here
will have their need
fulfilled.
We were creators while alive.
Most of us worked from nine to five.
Generations of humans laughed and cried
and watched while one by one we died.
We made the music.
We formed the art
so all that lived here
could keep their heart
fulfilled.
After us, what then?
Will the earth pray
and say Amen
to all who walked upon her ground?
Or bring us back because she found
she loves us.

Born In The 50s
We were born
Born in the fifties
My mother cried
When president kennedy died
She said it was the communists
But I knew better
Would they drop the bomb on us
While we made love on the beach
We were the class they couldnt teach
cos we knew better
We were born
Born in the fifties
They screamed
When the beatles sang
And they laughed when the king fell down the stars
O they shouldve known better
O we hated our aunt
Then we messed in our pants
Then we lost our faith and prayed to the tv
O we shouldve known better
We were born
Born in the fifties
We freeze like statues on the pages of history
Living was never like this when we took all those gces
O you opened the door for us
And then you turned to dust
You dont understand us
So dont reprimand us
Were taking the future
We dont need no teacher
We were born
Born in the fifties

Thanks Happenstance
I sat counting up all the blackeyes
i'd ever got
All the broken bones bloody noses
from all the battles i'd ever fought
Then I looked down at the top of my hands
With all their scars and scrapes
subway system of veins
Worn out skin from washing someone else's
greasy dish pans
And I laughed 'till I cried
cried 'till I laughed
Either way its all the same
for I was neither happy nor sad
Just thankful for all I'd ever had
And even though
I've not done much with it
I'm just thankful for the chance
So thank you God, thanks Allah
Thank you Buddah
Thanks Dad and Mom
Thanks luck, thank you chance
Thanks timing
Thank you kindly happenstance
Thank you all for a shot
I thank you all
I thank you so much for the chance
I sat counting up all the broken hearts
I'd ever got
All the broken dreams unrealized things
I'd ever sought
Then with my fingertips
I gently touched my face
I could feel the lines of worry, wrinkles of time
that no potion could ever hope to erase
And I laughed 'till I cried
cried 'till I laughed
Either way its all the same
for I was neither happy nor sad
Just thankful for all I'd ever had
And even though
I've not done much with it
I'm just thankful for the chance
So thank you God, thanks Allah
Thank you Buddah
Thanks Dad and Mom
Thanks luck, thank you chance
Thanks timing
Thank you kindly happenstance
Thank you all for a shot
I thank you all
I thank you so much for the chance
I sat counting up all the bad news
i'd ever got
All the losing hands flus and colds
i'd ever caught
Then I reached down
put my hand upon my heart
And though battered tattered broken
sometimes torn apart
I was just thankful through it all
Never once did it ever just give up
and stop
And I laughed 'till I cried
cried 'till I laughed
Either way its all the same
for I was neither happy nor sad
Just thankful for all I'd ever had
And even though
I've not done much with it
I'm just so thankful for the chance
So thank you God, thanks Allah

Lo, This is Earthly Life!
A medico girl, young she was;
A brilliant Madurai lass;
While coming to her afternoon class,
She DIED by the road-side, alas!
A van had hit her directly;
She met her death most instantly;
With clavicle and fractured skull,
She was injured occipital;
And in the shatt’ring glass’ sounds,
She bled like hell and died at once!
She’as rushed to our hospital, altho’
She passed away in minutes, oh!
In a pool of blood, her head just lay;
To save her life, there was no way.
Doctors and students, rushed to see
Her corpse but stood just silently;
Fate had been so cruel to snatch
A life in teens from her dear batch!
Oh, what a shock, her batch-mates had!
The tragedy was indeed sad;
It was an accident! Alright,
At noon-time and in bright sunlight:
But had she escaped, she’d have been
A doctor with an extra sheen.
Yet, God didn’t give her one more chance
Or save her from Death’s noon-time dance!
A victim of a fatal game,
V. Dhanalakshmi was her name.
The silence was soon broken by
The laments of students near-by;
‘Dhana, we love you! ’- They all cried;
But in a trice, the girl had died.
‘Dana, don’t leave us! ’ they all wept;
But in the Lord, she happily slept.
They cried and cried till mid-night came;
They screamed all stunned- who was to blame?
Her class-mates sat round her weeping,
Until her parents came, leaping;
Too shocked for words, they looked like ghosts!
And cried aloud: all stood like posts.
All night, all wept, again, again;
All hearts were anguished and in pain;
‘Dhana’- she lay under a shroud;
I heard their cries all clear and loud.
And in the night, I heard one noise;
The birds all spoke in one strange voice-
‘DHANA, we love you, we love you.’
‘DHANA, we miss you, we’ll miss you.
And this is what the earth can give;
With life for life’s cause, let’s all live.

Day That I Die
One day I woke up woke up knowing today is the day I will die
Cashdogg was barking went to the park and enjoyed that one last time
Called my mother told her I loved her and begged her not to cry
Wrote her a letter that said Id miss her and signed that goodbye...
You know the happiest day of my life
I swear the happiest day of my life is the day that I die
(the day that I died)
Can you feel the cold tonight?
(the day that I died)
It sets in but its alright
(the day that I died)
Darkness falls Im letting go
(the day that I died)
All alone but I feel fine
We took a drive and we drove thru d.c.
To see the places we lived, long conversations
We talked of old friends and all the things that we did
Summer nights, drunken fights
Mistakes we made...did we live it right?
You know the happiest day of my life I swear the happiest day of my life
Is the day that I died
(the day that I died)
Can you feel the cold tonight?
(the day that I died)
It sets in but its alright
(the day that I died)
Darkness falls Im letting go
(the day that I died)
All alone but I feel just fine
You know the happiest day of my life
I know the happiest day of my life
I swear the happiest day of my life is the day that I died
(the day that I died)
Can you feel the cold tonight?
(the day that I died)
It sets in but its alright
(the day that I died)
Darkness falls Im letting go
(the day that I died)
All alone but I feel just fine
Did I live it right?
I hope I lived it right
I hope I lived it right, I know I lived it right
Did I live it right?
I hope I lived it right, I know I lived it right

A Song of Wrong [ You Laughed and Laughed and Laughed ]
In your eyes
My song is one of wrong
Intruding into your heart
And you laughed and
Laughed and laughed.
.
In your heart, you knew
I could be there,
Cause you brought me here.
And you laughed and
Laughed and laughed.
.
In your soul,
You knew I want you
In my home.
'cause you brought me hope.
And you laughed and
Laughed and laughed.
.
You laughed at my wrong
You laughed at my right.
You laughed over
Everything I do.
.
And now, my love I give to you
But you shut your eyes and
Laughed and laughed
And laughed.
.
You laughed at my walk
You laughed at my song.
.
You walked your walk
Into my life of wrong
Knowing all along
You could change me in all.
.
But you shot your heart
To my love
And you walked away from
My heart, and you laughed
And laughed and laughed.

You Laughed and Laughed and Laughed
I told you I was in love,
But you laughed and
Laughed and laughed.
.
I gave you my love,
But you did not give me yours,
Instead you kept mine, and
Gave yours to another.
.
You laughed at my song,
You laughed at my walk,
Then I danced my magic dance
to the rhythm of the talking
drums pleading.
.
But you shot your eyes, and laughed
And laughed and laughed.

So You Died
so you died!
when i heard,
i cried.
you were apple
of my eyes,
love of my life.
when you
left my side
i died.
i died
when you died.

Beds To The Front Of Them
'Beds to the front of them,
Beds to the right of them,
Beds to the left of them,
Nobody blundered.
Beamed at by hungry souls,
Screamed at with brimming bowls,
Steamed at by army rolls,
Buttered and sundered.
With coffee not cannon plied,
Each must be satisfied,
Whether they lived or died;
All the men wondered.'

Boy And Girl
it was your basic love and death story
a boy and a girl met and thought it was going to last 4 ever
turns out nothing lasted that long
the boy left the girl claiming he no longer loved her
the girl slid down to the floor and cried until she could'nt cry any more
the girl avoided the boy no matter how much he tried to talk to her
the boy was sad. he never meant to really hurt her
but he did anyway
the girl commited suicide
the boy lived but cried until he died

But Even Ashes Are Cried Over, Sometimes Even For A Long Time
Life is amazing
in that
it makes us forget....
but even ashes
are sometimes
cried over...
sometimes
even for
a very long
time
tell me more
the name
of that ash?
for whom shall
you grieve?
for whom
you have loved?
for whom
you have died?
for whom
you have lived again....

It Was In Tongues He Spoke
'Open your heart to the Lord', he said
Leave behind unfaithful friends
Evil spirits i command thee
To allow this soul to mend'.
Then his voice became unreasoned
And it was in tongues he spoke
Her body seemed in agony
As she screamed and cried and choked.
'Satan, you've lost this victim'
He screamed into the air
He shook the wretched supplicant
As he took her by the hair.
Outside her parents waited
For their schizophrenic child
She had once been a quiet girl
But had recently got wild.
They were fundamental Christians
And decried psychiatry
They believed that exorcism
Was the faithful remedy.
She shook and shook and screamed so loud
While her parents listened on
And with each scream they did believe
Another spirit gone.
There was madness in the air that day
The devil's smell was in that room
Then the girl gave up the struggle
As a cloud obscured the moon.
'She is cleansed and she is whole now'
The priest declared with calm
The good Lord with look after her
And shield her from all harm.
Her eyes were red and bloated
And she could no longer sleep
Then she tried to slash an artery
Later on that week.
The priest in truth was Satan
Masquerading as the church
The spirit that was broken
Was not evil - it was hers.

Cloony The Clown
I'll tell you the story of Cloony the Clown
Who worked in a circus that came through town.
His shoes were too big and his hat was too small,
But he just wasn't, just wasn't funny at all.
He had a trombone to play loud silly tunes,
He had a green dog and a thousand balloons.
He was floppy and sloppy and skinny and tall,
But he just wasn't, just wasn't funny at all.
And every time he did a trick,
Everyone felt a little sick.
And every time he told a joke,
Folks sighed as if their hearts were broke.
And every time he lost a shoe,
Everyone looked awfully blue.
And every time he stood on his head,
Everyone screamed, 'Go back to bed!'
And every time he made a leap,
Everybody fell asleep.
And every time he ate his tie,
Everyone began to cry.
And Cloony could not make any money
Simply because he was not funny.
One day he said, 'I'll tell this town
How it feels to be an unfunny clown.'
And he told them all why he looked so sad,
And he told them all why he felt so bad.
He told of Pain and Rain and Cold,
He told of Darkness in his soul,
And after he finished his tale of woe,
Did everyone cry? Oh no, no, no,
They laughed until they shook the trees
With 'Hah-Hah-Hahs' and 'Hee-Hee-Hees.'
They laughed with howls and yowls and shrieks,
They laughed all day, they laughed all week,
They laughed until they had a fit,
They laughed until their jackets split.
The laughter spread for miles around
To every city, every town,
Over mountains, 'cross the sea,
From Saint Tropez to Mun San Nee.
And soon the whole world rang with laughter,
Lasting till forever after,
While Cloony stood in the circus tent,
With his head drooped low and his shoulders bent.
And he said,'THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT -
I'M FUNNY JUST BY ACCIDENT.'
And while the world laughed outside.
Cloony the Clown sat down and cried.
