My Mirror
The mirror and I have this relationship
complicated as can be;
sometimes my shadow it is
non-consequential.
But other times I gaze
for minutes on end
to see which me
lives there
gazing back at me.
Sometimes I wince
touching the tiny scratches
to see
if they are in the mirror
or in my skin.
I've looked naked into it
turning slowly
front back
and sideways
using my critical eye;
not so bad here
gravity winning there.
I have this relationship
with my mirror
complicated it seems.
But it lights up times
when I suddenly
feel your arm
at my shoulder's edge;
when your light
shines in my mirror's eye.
I want to keep you there
for this
and many years.

I just need time and

These couple months have me thinking and my head had been spinning

What did I do to deserve this?

Because The Love Of Life There
how I can love
If I can not love
I can understand how
if I can not understand
how could I survive
if I do not have a dream
though I always hear
then ignore
though I always see

and forget
yes that's me the wanderer
born and grow even without love

there is a fire that is ready to devour me

As i look at my surrounding's,
I realized i could be here today and gone tomorrow,
My mom's said to live my life and enjoy it,
Because i could be here today and gone tomorrow,
I always thought that life was a fairytale & i would always be a princess,
But i didn't realize i could be here today & gone tomorrow,
People always say the world would end in 2012,

As i continued to walk down the streets & look at my surrounding's,

The Reason For The Split
To be in a relationship that ends,
For one to claim they do not know what happened...
Should not have been a relationship that began.
For someone not to be conscious,
Of their own relationship...
Could mean they do not wish to admit,
An activity or lack of providing it...

To know love.

A Challenging Undertaking To Maintain
Those urges come to surge deep within me,
As if I am to serve with a purpose on a mission...
That desires a need to sacrifice myself to improve.
'On what? '
That's the question I find myself asking.
And I wonder what it is I keep closely monitored,
That must meet with my approval?
Since no one believes my eccentricities,
Are difficult for me to keep sustained at all.
Few perceive my uniqueness has been a strategy.
Deviating from that which is considered by others,
As normal...
Is a challenging undertaking to maintain,
On a daily basis.
Trust me.
Especially if it is associated with 'reputation'.
And keeping all disappointments at a minimum,
Requires the kind of discipline few would suspect.

Sweet Dreams
It doesn't matter what you are,
Lion, tiger or bear,
Or small child wishing on a star,
While at the moon you stare...
If you can't sleep, you'll toss and turn,
You'll hate those sad extremes
And how you'll sigh and fondly yearn
The comfort of your dreams...
Your eyes may droop and eyelids, too,
While your nose breathes in deep,
Yet everything you try to do
Proves not enough for sleep...
Insomnia is what it's called
And it gets on our nerves,
When precious resting time gets stalled,
Is that what each deserves?
Sweet dreams, we say to every child,

I really enjoy being single again. I spent a lot of time in a relationship and the nearer we came to the end, the more difficult it got. You don't see things clearly as long as you're still involved.
