Peace, Be Still

Petrified in the boat they were panicking
as the waves of the sea came cascading in.
You awoke Lord and commanded the sea.
'Be still, ' You said with such authority.

'What manner of man is this' they cried
amazed as they saw the wind and waves subside.
The storm was quelled and the wind did cease
The Almighty obeyed, they were left in peace.

Mightier than the raging and tempestuous sea.
Mightier than the clashing thunderstorm is He.
The Almighty One is The Sovereign Lord
and wind and wave have to obey His word.

You were there Almighty God before life began
as the creator of heaven, earth and man.
The Alpha and Omega Whose work is done.
The Son of God and the Almighty One.

Today... 'Commander

A great Leader and Commander was given
charge of leading His people into heaven.
We walk in His footsteps and obey His words
for He is our King of kings and Lord of lords.

'Come and choose this day whom you will serve' we hear
the voice of Joshua calling loud and clear
and joining with him in this response we say
'as for me—I will serve the Lord from this day.'

Examples of His leadership can be seen
in the miracles performed on this worlds scene.
Demonstrating His power as King of kings
and His right to be Commander of all things

Healing the Centurions Servant (Luke 7: 1-10)

'Just say the word and Your great power reveal
for I believe that my servant You can heal.
I'm a man understanding authority
and can recognise it in the One I see.'

These are words the Centurion said to You
for he saw great authority in You too.
As Commander Your authority's not bound
by any earthly barrier or battleground.

The Raising of Lazarus from the dead (John 11: 17-44)

They opened the tomb and rolled the stone away
then they heard Your command in a loud voice say
'Lazarus come out' and before them they saw
he who had been dead was not dead any more.

Healing the man possessed (Mark 5: 1-13)

With this man the demons always had their way
among the tombs during the night and the day.
'Legion, Come out of him' to the man You said
and at the Commanders voice the demons fled.

They had to obey You for You were Divine
and they fled to the hills entering the swine.
Then the two thousand demons ran down the bank
fell into the sea and they all drowned and sank.

Stilling the storm (Mark 4: 35-41)

Petrified in the boat they were panicking
as the waves of the sea came cascading in.
You awoke Lord and then commanded the sea
'Be still, ' You said with awesome authority.

'What manner of man is this' out loud they cried.
Amazed as they saw the wind and sea subside.
The storm was quelled and the wind and rain did cease
the Commander obeyed, they were left in peace.

Conclusion

Mightier than any tempestuous sea
Mightier than clashing thunderstorm is He.
Our Commander God is The Sovereign Lord
all heaven and hell have to obey His word.

Today... 'The One to be Feared

The wind had ceased as the waves subside
for 'Peace be still' the Lord had cried.
Both wind and waves obey the words
of the King of kings and Lord of lords.

The disciples were amazed at what they saw
as they gazed at Jesus eyes full of awe.
The One to be feared was there in the boat
and by His power had kept them afloat.

We fear God and great reverence show
as in the boat sailing through life we go.
The Son of God born to us by virgin birth
is to be feared by all the kings of earth.

So as we make vows to the Lord our God
we remember that He earths paths has trod
and He is the Saviour and Lord of all.
The One before whom all nations fall.

Sinking beneath the waves

Battling against the waves we struggled to keep afloat
The winds blew strong and the waves flooded into the boat
The night was far spent and we were tired and weary
then You came walking on the water so strange and eerie.

I wanted to walk by faith and to be with You Lord
so You bid me to come to You and I obeyed Your word.
That first step for me would be a giant leap of faith
but I knew no matter how I felt You'd keep me safe.

Despite that all around me the wind and sea did roar
I wished to walk in places I'd never walked before.
So that great step I took and I was out of the boat
and though the winds and waves bellowed I was still afloat.

But then I took my eyes off You and was petrified
I was sinking beneath the waves, 'Lord save me, ' I cried.
I'm safe now from that raging storm for You heard me
reaching out You saved me from lifes tempestuous sea.

***********

When lifes' waves overwhelm me as sometimes they do
I'm so glad Lord Jesus that I can call out to You.
At times when my faith is weak and I begin to doubt
it is then dear Lord that You reach down and lift me out.

O God, Show Mercy…

O GOD, SHOW MERCY…

O God Almighty, Our Father in Heaven,
Let go with the wind the foe’s threats;
Punish the unwise and the unworthy,
Let them hold their tongues behind the teeth.

O God Almighty, Our Father in Heaven,
Weaken the treacherous men…
They just pretend to be Thy servants,
For their own good, let them lament.

O God Almighty, Our Father in Heaven,
Show mercy to those who serve their land;
Without harming their own country,
Let them breed their descent…

O God Almighty, Our Father in Heaven,
Let us rise – wipe out the feud.
Show mercy, save us, heal our souls,
Let us defeat the fraud…

O God Almighty, Our Father in Heaven,
Let the foe’s threats go with the wind…

The Almighty Sea

The almighty sea reigns higher than them all.
The almighty sea will always stand tall.
The almighty sea will be your fall.
The almighty sea reigns higher than them all.

The sea is responsible for many a death,
Drowning the victim for its every breath.
Engulfing the bodies, in its wave,
Sending their souls to the grave.

The sea is a murderer killing by the millions.
Everyday people, normal civilians,
Are taken away by the monstrous surges.
And out of the ocean, a corpse emerges.

The sea is can kill in a matter of hours,
With the sheer extent of the waves’ powers.
Surely nothing can stop the water in its path,
Immersing the world in its wrath.

The almighty sea reigns higher than them all.
The almighty sea will always stand tall.
The almighty sea will be your fall.
The almighty sea reigns higher than them all.

Hallelujah! The Lord God Almighty reigns
He who creates the wind and forms the mountains.
Holy, holy, holy the living creatures cry
To the Glorious and Almighty God on high.

Great and marvellous are the deeds He performs
He who turns dawn to into the darkest storms.
The great God who was, and is, and is to come
the LORD Almighty is his name, The Holy One.

Today... 'The First and Last

Before the creation had taken its place.
Before the beginning of this earthly race.
Before the heavens and the earth came to be.
Before the dawn of human history.

Before the tick of the seconds of time began
Then the Triune God formed salvations plan.
The Son of God at the very beginning stood.
and commenced all of creation by His word.

There is no one to compare with You my Lord
for You forever will be the living Word.
The One Who is the Son of Man walked on earth
Who came to us from heaven by virgin birth.

The Alpha and Omega is First and Last
was at the beginning and will time outlast.
Alive before time and creation began
and when history unfolded became a man.

Each chapter of earth and human history
has been encompassed between eternity.
For the Fathers' Eternally Begotten Son
stands outside of time as the Everlasting One.

The Alpha and Omega, the First and Last
all the years of time within Your hands You grasp.
from everlasting to everlasting the same
The Almighty God Jehovah is Your name.

When time shall cease and the sun no longer rise
When Christ has come with His glory in the skies.
When the ransomed called to reign with Him on high
and with all the angels 'hallelujah' cry.

When all the atomic clocks have ticked their last.
When matter has disappeared into the past.
When the new heaven and earth in sight appears.
There You shall still stand outlasting all the years.

The Eternal God and Everlasting Lord
by heaven and earth and forever adored.
There at Your feet all men shall fall as though dead
before Heaven's King and Everlasting Head.

And there at Your feet I shall willingly fall
before my King of Glory and Lord of All.
And then as I feel the touch of Your right hand
I shall rise up at the sound of Your command.

When the worlds are no more and all time shall cease
there You shall reign and Your kingdom shall increase
and I shall be there gazing into Your face
washed and clothed in righteousness by Your grace.

Today... 'God Manifest In The Flesh

Almighty God manifest in the flesh is He
Fullness of the Godhead dwelling bodily.
He took on flesh and blood to become a man
as part of our Salvation's wonderful plan.

The immortal God took on humanity
limiting Himself to human frailty.
He who flung stars and galaxies into space
came to live and dwell amongst the human race.

The reason God was manifest in the Flesh
was to pay the ransom for my sinfulness.
For the feet that walked where no other man could
were nailed to a rough and rugged cross of wood.

The voice that commanded the great storm to cease
cried out 'Father forgive them' and bought me peace.
The outstretched hands of the Lord Jesus Christ
were pierced by those cruel nails of sacrifice.

That my Lord and God should die for me
is an incomprehensible mystery.
For when Jesus wept it was God that cried
and there upon the cross Jehovah died.

Beyond understanding is this Godliness
God the Almighty manifest in the flesh.
For in Jesus Christ I see the Godhead dwell.
He is the Lord, my God and Immanuel.

The fear of death was in their eyes

The fear of death was in their eyes
waves filled the boat to their surprise.
Then through the storm a voice was heard
the encouraging voice of the Good shepherd.

He'd seen His sheep struggling with their fear
and came to comfort them and to draw near.
They heard Him speak the words 'Fear not'
and amidst the storm their fears forgot.

'If it's You Jesus' Peter said to the Lord
'Bid me come to You, I'll obey your word.'
The command to come he heard from You
Gazing into Your face Peter's faith grew.

Putting his fears to one side courageously
he stepped outside the boat onto the sea.
Then he began to think 'What have I done'
and took his eyes off of God's Only Son.

He saw the wind and waves come crashing down
and became afraid thinking he would drown.
Taking his eyes off the Lord in horror
distracted by the waves and the winds roar.

'Lord save me' Peter cried out in his fear.
Jesus reached out for He was standing near
and then lifted him back inside the boat
back into safety he was kept afloat.

Sailing this earthly sea we experience fears.
The storms of life can bring such tears.
When He calls us to step out of the boat
eyes fixed on Jesus will keep us afloat.

For our hearts of fear the Lord can transform
and by faith in Him we can face the storm.
With are eyes firmly fixed upon the Lord
we can step out of the boat obeying His word.

To board the silver boat
Upon the Wind and Waves
And Daniel he harrelted the boat

And Johnny took us on the boat
He held the sails, he tied the ropes

A Strong Believer

A strong believer,
Always looks at a negative,
As a right.
What was meant for bad,
Was meant for good.
Joseph's brothers,
Were jealous and mean.
He still believed,
In the almighty.
Joseph's boss wife lied,
Had him through in prison,
For false reasons.
He still believed,
In the almighty.
Job lost everything,
He was left with nothing.
He still believed,
In the almighty.
When someone else gets,
A larger helpin,
I realize that it's not,
The only blessin,
God is given.
I keep in mind that there,
Will be more than that,
I will be gettin.
I believe,
In the almighty.

A Litany (Cavatina Sequence)

(after Sir Philip Sidney)

Once huge church bells did ring at our wedding,
but love is gone,
as a plague its infected, by your whims has spread;
another one
finds grace in your eyes, now knows your deep flesh,
while like some stone
what was ours is petrified into dust,
good almighty Lord God, deliver us.

What once was high and holy is now dead,
only pain remain
while you acted very unscrupulous,
could not explain
your own female infatuating fancy
and then to gain
you breached our holy, pure, solemn trust
good almighty Lord God, deliver us.

No dirge, lament or even a prayer
can change your mind,
even if I at times do in pain weep
you stay unkind,
rushes away, with your eyes set and does
your lover find;
from a women that acts to true love thus,
good almighty Lord God, deliver us.

Programmed

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to diffuse
resplendent shade; was the gregariously blooming and
enchantingly exuberant tree,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to disseminate
Omnipotent light; was the aristocratically flamboyant
and blisteringly blossoming Sun,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to generate
rhapsodically unlimited tanginess; was the boundlessly
ebullient and triumphantly undulating Ocean,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to fulminate
into a paradise of eternal sensuousness; was the
ravishingly titillating and celestially egalitarian
dewdrop,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to mystically
enthrall even the most alien creature; was the
enigmatically uncanny and convivially compassionate
forest,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to spawn into
a civilization of sacrosanct vivaciousness; was
impeccably invincible and blessed mother’s milk,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to waft into
stupendously enamoring redolence; was the poignantly
crimson petal and unconquerably majestic rose,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to effulgently
bond one and all in the bonds of humanity alike; was
the everlastingly perpetual spirit of timeless
camaraderie and companionship,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to stand as
the most unflinching citadel even as hell gorily
reverberated from each cranny of this fathomless
planet; was the blissfully melanging and unassailably
fragrant religion of mankind,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to expunge a
valley of vivid boisterousness; was the astoundingly
sweet and eclectically buzzing honey bee,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to culminate
into regally inebriating melody; was the beautifully
emerald crested and innocuously mellifluous
nightingale,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to radiate
into peacefully mesmerizing rhythm; was the
marvelously cavorting and miraculously cascading
waterfall,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to pulverize
even the most diminutive trace of devil into insipidly
worthless nothingness; was the voice of pricelessly
unconquerable and victoriously unfettered truth,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to seductively
dance with the beats of the moonlit night; was the
panoramically animated and ingratiatingly nimble
footed peacock,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to rejuvenate
even the most sordidly dreary soles; was the
unsurpassably tranquil and gloriously placating grass
meadow,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to
magnificently quell all lunatically prejudiced
bloodshed; was the ubiquitously shimmering and
timelessly bountiful wand of; simplicity and peace,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to sustain
impregnably sparkling life; was the whirlwind of
eloquently endless and perennially bestowing breath,

Programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to
indefatigably coalesce with the beats of profoundly
magical love; was the passionately thundering and
innocently volatile heart,

And programmed since birth by Lord Almighty to
unrelentingly write altruistic poetry; was the
inconspicuously nimble palm that protruded from my
impoverished body; was the 2 centimeters of brain that
lay placidly in my skull; was my every ingredient of
humble blood; breath and soul; was; is and will always
remain by his Omnipotent grace; only ME…..

The Alpha and the Omega

The Alpha and the Omega, the creator is He.

I bow before HIM, for HIS love I have in me

Don't disrespect any religion, as we are not the judge

it's the Almighty above! then why do we keep a grudge?

He listens to all whatever caste or creed

The doors to heaven will open to those with good deeds

Religion is sacred, embedded in our hearts

We know who the creator, just different is our path

Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity or Islam

All have their destiny written in their palms

So practice whatever religion, or preach if you so

If your concept is not clear, don't know where you'll go......

Peter Walking Upon The Water

A Word from Jesus calms the sea,
The stormy wind controls;
And gives repose and liberty
To tempest-tossed souls.

To Peter on the waves he came,
And gave him instant peace;
Thus he to me revealed his name,
And bid my sorrows cease.

Then filled with wonder, joy and love,
Peter's request was mine;
Lord, call me down, I long to prove
That I am wholly thine.

Unmoved at all I have to meet
On life's tempestuous sea;
Hard, shall be easy; bitter, sweet,
So I may follow thee.

He heard and smiled, and bid me try,
I eagerly obeyed;
But when from him I turned my eye,
How was my soul dismayed!

The storm increased on every side,
I felt my spirit shrink;
And soon, with Peter, loud I cried,
Lord, save me, or I sink.

Kindly he caught me by the hand,
And said, Why dost thou fear?
Since thou art come at my command,
And I am always near.

Upon my promise rest thy hope,
And keep my love in view;
I stand engaged to hold thee up,
And guide thee safely through.
