Lost In Faith
i cried late nights a
long time ago but no one
came to save me each night
i prayed but none of my
prayers was heard
i alone knew where i stood
i alone knew the capability
of this beast...i strech out
and reach for your hand
but fell short when no man
grabbed up on to me
i fell for decayeds back to back
and stood after all in my dreams
i found peace and joy
but now of this can follox me home
and for that my faith is few

Alma Mater
Looking back a few short years
When we made our plans and played the cards
The way they fell
Clinging to our confidence
We stood on the threshold of the goal
That we knew, dear
And though we had our fights
Had our short tempered nights
It couldnt pull our dreams apart
All our needs and all our wants
Drawn together in our heart
We felt it from the very start
Its all happened recently
Now were living in that dream
We had not long ago
Everything is going fine
And now we just have to keep in mind
We must set brand new goals
We must not lose control
Of the possiblity of the discovery
That would let everybody see
That we were just meant to be

He Heard My Plea
(6/29/12)
The rains were coming down as heavy as can be
Lightning was covering the black skies
As far as I could see.
The rolling thunder deafening to my ears
As my heart filled with fear.
No place to run to - no place to hide
As I fell to my knees and started to cry.
I prayed to GOD to protect me
Cause I just wanted to get back to my family.
The thunder seemed to subside, as I opened up my eyes
Through the darkness of the clouds
A light came shining through
And like a spotlight it shone down on me
Then I knew the LORD heard my plea.
The rains were still coming down
Yet not a dropp on me was found.
I felt a calmness come over me
As if I had been set free.
I rushed straight home and there my family stood
Just like I knew that they would.
They always feared when they heard
the rolling thunder, and saw the lightning in the sky
And they would pray, just like I.
I hugged them and again I thanked the LORD
For giving me this opportunity - to be with my family.
If he heard my plea when I prayed
Why can't you do the same?

Tennessee Moon
Written by: neil diamond & dennis morgan
Hollywood dont do what it once could do
I used to wake up and write me a song before noon
So I packed my dusty bags one night
Grabbed an old guitar and I caught a red eye(? ) flight
In search of a dream underneath the tennessee moon
I fell in love with to old hank williams tune
Makes me wonder, is it the same moon hank played under
Touched down and she stole my heart right away
Began to think for the first time I might stay
And when I heard that lonesome whistle moan
Knew Id finally found my way back home
In search of a dream underneath the tennessee moon
I fell in love with to old hank williams tune
And I wonder, is it the same moon hank stood under
When he sang about jambalaya and being lonesome enough to cry
And I can hear the echos in the sounds of his guitar
And his words still paint a picture in my heart
Yeah, in search of a dream underneath the tennessee moon
I fell in love with to old hank williams tune
I was in search of a dream underneath the tennessee moon
Yes, I fell in love with to old hank williams tune

The (Bad) Dream
Sweat broke out on my forehead
I didn't know where I was
I could see everything
Dustin and Tony were standing
What seemed like so far away
I just stood there silently
I saw her walk up to them
Photos flashed by
Photos I have never seen
Her hair was still long
She was kissing a black lab
These photos didn't exist
She stood up
Kissed tony
My heart fell
My world was swirling
It was coming to an end
Her photos caught fire
I knew what that meant
I woke up cold
The dreams after effects
The room was too quiet
I sat up shaking
Lights looked too bright
The atmosphere was wrong
I accepted it
Fell back to sleep
It would all start again

Happy
If i were you and you were me
And we were back in '93
We had it all and all was well
And this is where about i fell
If that was then we could pretend
Our differences would be the end
I take it back full blown attack
And now it all just fades to black
I just want to feel alive
Time goes flying by
If this is how its gonna be
Then i might as well be free
If this is how youre gonna act
Then i just wont take it back
I knew you well
I knew you then
But now i just cant seem to pretend
Where have we gone
Its been so long
I just want to feel alive
Time goes flying by
If i were you and you were me
And we were back in '93
We had it all and all was well
And this is wehre about i fell
I would have died you never lied
Way before we even tried
And if i knew what we'd go through
Would i still be into you
I just want to be happy
I just want to be happy sometime

Edna's Asthma
Edna had asthma
And she used to put
This big black mask
Over her face
To help her breathe
And she talked
In short gasps
And wheezed
Between words
And had the best eyes
You could remember
And a smile that lingered
Long after she turned back
To shove the mask back on
And stood with one hand
On the table to steady herself
And the other gripping the mask
And it seemed death stood
In the wings of the house
Biding his time
Leaning maybe against
The dresser or in the dark hall
And Mother said Edna thought
Others talk about her
Behind her back
And it made her quite paranoid
Hearing whispers
When it may have been
Just the harsh wind
Through loose shutters
Or dull women’s mutter
And you guess she knew
You thought about her
And loved her down
The cold long nights
Thinking of you
As that young boy
With the cheeky grin
But then death
Took off with her
Worn out and thin.

Sing Me Home
I fell by the wayside
I fell on my knees
Crying, why was I so hard to please?
I stood at the crosswords
Took a long look at me
Sometimes you dont know where youre from til you leave
And Ive been out there searching
For a place where I belong
And on my way I heard my song
Let it sing me home
Sun on my shoulders and the wind at my back
Bound and determined to get back on track
To where the heart is
Where its been all along
Sometimes you dont know what youve got til its gone
Gone gone gone
And Ive been out there searching
For a place where I belong
And on my way I heard my song
Let it sing me home
And Ive been out there searching
For a place where I belong
And on my way I heard my song
Let it sing me home

I Think We Fell In Love Too Fast
Writers: leo sayer, johnny vastano &vini poncia
We were just two kids in high school
Whod never been in love before
Just happened to be together
We never wanted more
We had one long crazy summer
Life was like a honeymoon
But we couldnt hold back our feelins
Guess you came along too soon
Ooh, darlin
I think we fell in love too fast
Ooh, darlin
I think we fell in love too fast
I was workin my way through college
When you wrote and told me the news
Said you were gonna have a baby
Yeah, I knew my college days were through
Had to work late to make the money
You saw more of the kid than me
I guess I knew I failed you when
You said that youd rather be free
You wanted to be free
Ooh, darlin
I think we fell in love too fast
Ooh, darlin
I think we fell in love too fast
Well I heard you got away to florida
Got a husband, took the kid
I bet they think the whole world of you
Just like I always did
You were the only one I ever wanted
But I know you cant be replaced
If only wed met a little later, babe
We wouldnt of made the same mistakes
Oh, no, no, no, ooh
Darlin, yeah
I think we fell in love too fast
I know it now
Ooh, darlin, darlin
I know we fell in love too fast, too fast
Ooh, darlin, yeah
I think we fell in love too fast
I know it now
Ooh, darlin, darlin
I know we fell in love too fast, too fast

Lorraine
Long ago a lonely man stood
Off of a quiet avenue
A pretty girl in passing chanced to look
Thats when he fell, fell for you
I listen to the rain
Pounding on the railing
The beats a sweet, soft refrain
Of how he found you lorraine
Hes rocking on a porch you used to know
Here where he swore his love was true
He sips his drink and dreams the days of old
Of when he fell, fell for you
I listen to the rain...

I Had A Dream
I had a dream
As though it seemed
Just the other day,
And you were there
Just like my prayer
Answering the words I prayed.
You took my hand
You helped me stand
And I rose to meet your eyes,
And as I stood
The way a man should
You were gone, and I knew not why.
I looked around
You couldnt be found
Then for you I cried as I spoke
“Why did you leave”
“Come back to me please”
But you didnt, so I awoke.
I had a dream
As though it seemed
Just the other night.
And you were there
Just like my prayer
Standing in the moon light.
You gave me a smile
Which I longed for a while
Joy was in my heart and soul
I began to smile
Just like a child
As my memories of you began to grow.
I thought of our past
As I wished it would always last
But you shook your head sadly No
So I shed a tear
Which dissapeared
And sadly again, I awoke.
I had a dream
as though it seemed
Late last night
And you were there
Just like my prayer
My woman, my wife and my life.
I took your hand
As I am your man
Together we will be
I wouldnt let go
as you shook your head no,
Together you and me.
I gave you a kiss
Which I did miss
Then you began to weep
You cried saying that I will awake
Without you to a new day
Then I said “no”, I will sleep

I knew this man
i knew this man some years ago
dearly beloved by four and two
back to fro his love went too
five of five he was and served
so to him a reward well deserved
I knew this man some years ago
worked the woods and suffered stings
lo among the rich he lives and pings
to whom benevolence was a reflex
and nothing came along was complex
i knew this man some years ago
who in zodiac learns a fable
and in unity became so able
over the Niger citadel he grew a lion
then he joined this army in Zion
i knew this man some years ago
he fell in love and changed his mind
now he hard sought someone to find
stood a lie to cute fairy tale damsel
how he christened her his own damisel
i knew this man some years ago
has broad shoulders and bulging chest
his time and strength he did well invest
i knew this man who loved himself
i knew this man in none but myself

Pan the Fallen
1 He wandered into the market
2 With pipes and goatish hoof;
3 He wandered in a grotesque shape,
4 And no one stood aloof.
5 For the children crowded round him,
6 The wives and greybeards, too,
7 To crack their jokes and have their mirth,
8 And see what Pan would do.
9 The Pan he was they knew him,
10 Part man, but mostly beast,
11 Who drank, and lied, and snatched what bones
12 Men threw him from their feast;
13 Who seemed in sin so merry,
14 So careless in his woe,
15 That men despised, scarce pitied him,
16 And still would have it so.
17 He swelled his pipes and thrilled them,
18 And drew the silent tear;
19 He made the gravest clack with mirth
20 By his sardonic leer.
21 He blew his pipes full sweetly
22 At their amused demands,
23 And caught the scornful, earth-flung pence
24 That fell from careless hands.
25 He saw the mob's derision,
26 And took it kindly, too,
27 And when an epithet was flung,
28 A coarser back he threw;
29 But under all the masking
30 Of a brute, unseemly part,
31 I looked, and saw a wounded soul,
32 And a god-like, breaking heart.
33 And back of the elfin music,
34 The burlesque, clownish play,
35 I knew a wail that the weird pipes made,
36 A look that was far away,—
37 A gaze into some far heaven
38 Whence a soul had fallen down;
39 But the mob only saw the grotesque beast
40 And the antics of the clown.
41 For scant-flung pence he paid them
42 With mirth and elfin play,
43 Till, tired for a time of his antics queer,
44 They passed and went their way;
45 Then there in the empty market
46 He ate his scanty crust,
47 And, tired face turned to heaven, down
48 He laid him in the dust.
49 And over his wild, strange features
50 A softer light there fell,
51 And on his worn, earth-driven heart
52 A peace ineffable.
53 And the moon rose over the market,
54 But Pan the beast was dead;
55 While Pan the god lay silent there,
56 With his strange, distorted head.
57 And the people, when they found him,
58 Stood still with awesome fear.
59 No more they saw the beast's rude hoof,
60 The furtive, clownish leer;
61 But the lightest in that audience
62 Went silent from the place,
63 For they knew the look of a god released
64 That shone from his dead face.

Despite The Tears (feat. Seedy Arkestra)
he found a letter from his lover
she said she's never coming home
his things were lying on her doorstep
and his tears, they fell like rain
and in his mind, he knew
he'd love her always
despite the tears
and in this town where few knew love
he'd spend his nights all alone, crying
and all the love he'd once shared with her
was gone, long, long, long gone
and he knew a part of him was dying
and in his mind
he knew he'd love her always
despite the tears
don't cry, don't cry, don't cry
lover we tried, we tried, we tried
and in his mind he knew he'd love her always
despite the tears

Excerpt From Lamplight Symphony
On a winter's night, stars are cold and bright in the sky,
The slumber of the earth is pure and deep
From a distant wood, drifts the echo of a beast
The old man stirs and wakens in the night
He stands before his window gazing at the grave
Forgotten dreams are flashing through his weary mind
And though his life is empty, he pretends that she's still there
With hunger in his soul, he yearns for life and love gone by,
With memories his one and only joy
All he has to give, he would give to bring back the life,
And raise the one who lies beneath the snow
He lights a lamp and looks at pictures of the past
The faces of their youth still glow with new-found love,
But the picture's faded, and time has stolen youth away
With a spoken word that he thought he heard from her lips,
He felt another presence in the room,
He was filled with fear but filled with joy he arose
And turned to face the image that he knew
She stood before him and her hand reached out for his
A peaceful light shone in her eyes
She said she'd come to soothe him, and someday they'd be as one
She began to fade and her image disappeared,
So he was left alone to face the night,
Never in his life, had he been so held in awe,
As he faced the apparition of his wife
He stood before the window gazing at the grave,
And with a lightened heart he saw the first of dawn,
He knew that she was waiting, that someday they'd be as one

She Never Heard Me Call
(graham russell, rex goh)
One warm night I fell in love
The air was still the words would flow
We knew each other oh so well
And though just met youd never tell
Sometimes were just lonely hearts
That ride upon a floating card
Prepared to live those sleepless nights
For precious time in paradise
(chorus)
And now I find the futures gone
The reasons that I had to carry on are gone
I tried for it all
She never heard me call at all
Theres no regrets we made the choice
We listened to that silent voice
That haunts you till you just give in
And makes you like a child again
We drifted close then said good-byes
Just reading well each others eyes
The world had turned while we stood still
And held on to each other
Chorus
And in between the right and wrong
Is somewhere that sometimes you can belong
I tried for it all
She never heard me call
And now I find the futures gone
The reasons that I had to carry on are gone
I cried for it all
She never heard me call at all

Wolf
That was a time for falling,
I knew you well.
There was no time for calling,
Me when you fell.
This is a time to take cover ,
In a wishing well.
Summer was blowing all over me when you fell,
Sailors can take all the breathing
Out of the sail,
I took a trip when you needed me.
When you fell,
Waters were driving me
To a deep place
I close my eyes to see,
Your sweet face,
A coke inside me,
I slept in hell.
Angels can be so deceiving
When they love you well,
Did you think you would be leaving me?
These are some lavender flowers
In a broken shell
They comfort me ever since the day when you fell.
When you fell,
Waters were dancing me
In a dark place,
I close my eyes to see
Your determined face,
My secret inside me
I slept in hell.
This is a time for believing
In fairy tales,
One in which you are brought back to me.
Wolf, I cried wolf.
Wolf, I cried wolf.
Wolf, I cried wolf.

Warriors
I fall
Down
No control somehow
No help
Now
My favour slides
No one comes
Here
Now Im feeding strangers
Thin air
Like cold death
Here in my heart
I fell for so long for you all
I fell for so long for you
I fell for so long for you
Come in
Im the ghost
Of the white faced clown
Shes gone
Gone. I wont look back
Shes gone
Im old
So old
This infection of time
My skin
Age
Shows no kindness to me
I fell for so long for you all
I fell for so long for you
I fell for so long for you

Where Was Love?
The maiden mourned within her heart
Where all our best dreams grow.
She knew life had a missing part,
For love she didn't know.
She'd never met a likely lad,
With twinkles in his eyes...
No wonder that she felt so sad
And pondered full of sighs...
Her life continued day-by-day,
No-one to hold her tight.
No-one with sweet words meant to say,
'You are my one delight! '
And so her sighs turned into tears
That fell on stony ground...
And weeks turned into months then years
And little joy was found...
Of course she prayed, yet God remained
As silent as could be.
And so dismayed, with nothing gained,
She always looked lonely.
But God had heard her precious prayer...
And thought it wonderful.
He searched the Earth for one who'd care,
Someone incredible!
The likely lad was introduced...
Romance lit up his smile!
The maiden stood there quite amused,
Confused and in denial.
God saw them both and smiled above...
As smiles between them passed.
Because she knew her one true love
Was here, right now, at last!

The Night I Lost You
This night,
This very dark night,
Was the night I lost you.
The cold air blew through my hair,
As I watched you fall to the ground.
Slow motion had seemed to take you over,
As you fell,
And I was suddenly empty,
Nothing, but fear flooded my mind.
I lost you to the dark,
I couldn’t see you anymore.
You went down, down,
And didn’t come back.
Why didn’t you come back to me?
I stood in the night,
Cold.
Didn’t know what to do.
I didn’t know why you left.
You had no reason for going.
You just fell,
Fell away from me.
That’s why I’ll always remember this night.
This night,
This very dark night,
Was the night I lost you.
