Smoke-Rings
BOY
Most venerable and learned sir,
Tall and true Philosopher,
These rings of smoke you blow all day
With such deep thought, what sense have they?
PHILOSOPHER
Small friend, with prayer and meditation
I make an image of Creation.
And if your mind is working nimble
Straightway you’ll recognize a symbol
Of the endless and eternal ring
Of God, who girdles everything—
God, who in His own form and plan
Moulds the fugitive life of man.
These vaporous toys you watch me make,
That shoot ahead, pause, turn and break—
Some glide far out like sailing ships,
Some weak ones fail me at my lips.
He who ringed His awe in smoke,
When He led forth His captive folk,
In like manner, East, West, North, and South,
Blows us ring-wise from His mouth.

Smoke Rings In The Dark
(rivers rutherford/houston robert)
Well I wont make you tell me
What Ive come to understand
Youre a certain kind of woman and
Im a different kind of man
Ive tried to make you love me
Youre tried to find a spark of the flame that burned and
Somehow turned to smoke ring in the dark
The loneliness within me
Takes a heavy toll
cause it burns as slow as whiskey through an empty aching soul and
The night is like a dagger
Long and cold and sharp
As I sit here on the front steps
Blowing smoke rings in the dark
I- i- I know I must be going
cause loves already gone and
All Im taking with me are the pieces of my heart and
All Ill leave are smoke rings in the dark
The rain falls where it wants to
Wind blows where it will
Everything on earth goes somewhere
But I swear were standin still
So Im not going to wake you
Ill go easy on your heart
Ill just touch your face and drift away
Like smoke rings in the dark
I- i- I know I must be going
cause loves already gone and
All Im taking with me are the pieces of my heart and
All Ill leave are smoke rings in the dark

Ah Me! Ah Me!
Ah, me! Ah, me! My weary doom to labour here in the Palace!
Seven good wine-jars have I - and three in my province.
There where they stand I have hung straight-stemmed gourds of the finest -
They turn to the West when the East wind blows,
They turn to the East when the West wind blows,
They turn to the North when the South wind blows,
They turn to the South when the North wind blows.
And there I sit watching them turning and turning forever-
Oh, my gourds! Oh, my wine-jars!

Round The Compass Twice With The Wind
The wind’s in a whirl
In a cyclonic spin,
A mischievous girl
With intentions to sin.
With sharp cloven hoofs,
This she-devil conspires
To tear from our roofs
All the chimneys and tiles.
The wind’s in the north,
A philosopher’s stone,
For all that it’s worth,
Turning water to bone.
It’s longing to tell
Bedtime stories at night
To earth, in its spell,
Tucked in blankets of white.
The wind’s in the south,
Bringing soothing, warm balm
Breathed out from its mouth,
An oasis of calm,
Negating the strife
Of the winter’s harsh fling
And bringing new life
To the meadows in spring.
The wind’s in the east
As it tears through the sky,
A mythical beast
That’s inclined to be dry.
It fanned all the flames
To devour London town
By banks of the Thames,
Eaten down to the bone.
The wind’s in the west
Bringing drink after drought,
Salvation, so blest,
For each thirsty, green shoot.
High up, on the hills,
With a gardener’s hand,
It fills lakes and rills
From its watering can.
The wind, it is still
So, without it, the fog
Can flourish so chill
And develop as smog,
Whose dark, dismal gloom
Hangs about like a shroud
Of petrol-blue fume
In a thick, choking cloud.
The wind’s in a whirl
As it rises again
And longs to unfurl
All its might and its main
To break and destroy
Every tree in its path,
An imp of a boy
With a hideous laugh.
The wind’s in the north
And all nature’s in thrall
But yearns to break forth
From the ice-prison’s wall
But, under the gaze
Of a gaoler so grim,
There can be no ways
Of escaping from him.
The wind’s in the south:
Flames shoot out of the length
Of dragon-like mouth
Enervating our strength.
We accept defeat:
Shelter cannot supply
Escape from its heat
As we swelter and fry.
The wind’s in the east
And it bears, in its blast,
Hard hail’s sharp white teeth
On our gardens to cast.
Its bitterness blows,
In its underhand way,
Like thorns of sweet rose
Or a needle in hay.
The wind’s in the west,
A purveyor of rain,
From cloud treasure-chest,
From Atlantic’s domain,
With rich rainbow jewels,
He entices the girls
With deep, diamond pools
Filled with pure, raindropp pearls.
The wind, it is still;
It has run out of breath.
Each valley and hill
Is as silent as death.
The vertical smoke
Rises straight as a rod
As tall chimneys spoke
Sooty prayers to God.

Wind Of Prediction
As the trees play in the breeze
Do you wonder what it may mean.
Does the wind coming from a certain direction
Mean something we should heed.
North wind blows cold and dry
Originating from the elements of earth
Read as the wind of death, colour black
Time to abondon issues no longer needed
Heed the news from the North.
West wind blows moist and fertile
Elements of water, coloured blue
Soothing, sensitive and healing.
Touch the cleansing power of the West.
South wind blows hot and dry
Of element fire, colour red
Usethe initiative and passion
To boost the ideals
Haste to feel the southern breeze.
East wind blows from the orient light
Assaulting with cold dry feel
Symbol of air, coloured white
Trust new starts from the East.
North South East and West
Thus the world changes
From whence it blows
That is what it will show
Predictions blown around.

4. Blow me down
The North wind blew on Monday
As the East wind got the flu
The West wind blew on Tuesday
As the South wind never knew
The North East wind had Wednesday
As the South West wasn’t chuffed
The North West blew on Thursday
As the South East hardly puffed
The East and West blew Friday
As the others had a rest
The North and South blew Saturday
As the weekends were the best
The lot of them had Sunday
As the winds turned into storm
The whole of them had Monday off
As the week got back to norm

Many People Lives In Thy....
Many people lives in thy soul.
The painter paints the
Words, the singer sings
the lyrics, the philosopher,
dives deep into its thought.
Whom do you love most?
The philosopher within,
Drives your mind….
The poet, writes the feelings;
The painter gives color to it…
The singer putting life
To the lyric makes
More adorable……..
None can be left alone….
And all of them create
The sense of God…..
None can be left alone!

Making sense
No sense in it if you act non-sense
People may push you away with sense
You may think why people are utterly non-sense?
When you are perfectly ok and act wit sense
You may fail in your love attempts
Some thing may force you or to act prompt
Still you act with sense and avoid
You may face difficulties which are self maid
You may act wise with change of scene
Gentleman like approach when publicly seen
Is it not the humanly act minus sin?
When one tries to project what he has been?
What comes to your help or rescue?
You may be wondering without any clue
You may blink and face may turn blue
When projection makes no sense for you
Sense is third eye for human being
Timely act may make him king
Opponent may face defeat in the ring
You may survive……………..
What, if nothing suggests or paves the way?
Your voice may not be heard or have the say
You may stick to position and bat for long
Still it makes sense that you are not always wrong
You will know what lies ahead?
Common sense may stop you to be mislead
So even if you are worried or so tense
You may act wise and come out with sense

I Am' tree series # 2
i am tall
i am straight
i am ' TREE
as i see my leaves falling to the ground
surrounding my trunk like a skirt.
my branches stretch to all four corners
north, south, east, west
and as they fall, i know then
that i am dying.
i stretch my head to the father sun
and scream for his strength.
and down to mother earth
to quench my thirst.
for hundreds of years, i have lived
and flourished with a beauty that
all mankind admires.
i then realized that it was' autumn.'
i am replenishing my life,
to enter a new one.
as my branches, which touch each point
north, south, east, west
so are the four seasons.
'i am ' tree
i live, i die, i revive.
my beauty like love is eternal
in the eyes of the beholder.
'I AM' TREE.

The power of we
Twisting us
Contorting us
Into what
You think we should trust
You can try to take us down
Try to make us drown
But you’ll never have us fall
Never see us crawl
We’ll always
Always stand tall
All your cheerful little robots
Dripping with enthusiasm
Such happiness we will never fathom
I think its time to eradicate it
Too late now to debate it
Yah just keep looking at us with that condescending glare
Keep underestimating us without a care
But try not to look so surprised
When we crush you and carry out the plan we’ve devised
But until then keep thinking were powerless
Ignorantly thinking well make no mess
Keep thinking you can break us
Keep thinking you can overtake us
Then realize you can’t even shake us
Then the fear will set in your eyes
And we will watch your sense of control as it dies
We will watch your sense of security as it implodes
And of course well watch your pride as it corrodes
We will never agree
To what you want us to be
You try to deny
Our hunger to be free
Oh just give it up
Because well never give in
So long as you try to keep us down
We will fight back with a bloody grin
Yes
You’ll soon realize
The power of we
Annihilates all of your lies
You’ll soon find
The power of we
Can sever any tyrannical bind
The power of we
pushes you on your knees to plea
The power of we
Is greater then you’ll ever be
The power of we
Forces you to see
The power of we
The power of we
The power of we
Deep down even you agree
And that’s what scares you the most of all
Deep down even you can’t deny that we can walk tall
Deep down you can’t deny what you know:
We cannot die
We will not fail
You watch us now
We will prevail

God’s Crowning Jewel
Man is the jewel in the crown, of The Eternal God’s total creation.
He is the only creature found, worthy to receive Eternal Salvation.
Man was special at the start, for in His own image God created him,
God placed emotion in his heart, and breathed breath of life into him.
Friend this life was not just mortal, like the beasts that die and perish.
But man was made to be immortal; God’s creation for Him to cherish.
And man was put above all creation, as he was special in God’s eyes.
Since he was in charge of creation, God gave him a mind, to be wise.
God also had fellowship with man, as He walked with him in Paradise.
But Satan, no longer in God’s plan, wanted to lead man to his demise.
Satan with his own evil plan, wanted to fill man’s heart with utter lies.
With his lies he deceived man, and he was banished from Paradise.
Now separated from God forever, man no longer would see God’s face.
But God’s love he could not sever, as God instituted for man His Grace.
Sin had separated God from man, with no hope to return to Paradise.
But God would continue His plan, this time God turned to Jesus Christ.
Death was the price man had to pay, this for the wages of his own sin.
And Christ died for us on that day, for God to bring man back to Him.
Christ’s death was God’s only way, for Him to redeem man from his sin.
Just accept Christ’s sacrifice today, and you will live forever with Him.
For it was God who said to Christ, let’s make man in our own image.
You can have a place in Paradise, by coming into God’s eternal lineage.
This is God’s redemptive story, and Christ is God’s Eternal Revelation.
So receive a crown for Glory, through Jesus Christ’s Eternal Salvation.

It's A Hard Road
I jumped on the train
I left this old town
I escaped the rain
I'm no longer down
The wheels start to turn
My worries are gone
I have lots to learn
About the trail that I'm on
As I look around
I see my new friend
I know I am bound
To travel till the end
I'll travel south and I'll travel north
I'll travel east and I'll travel west
I just want to find the road that is best
The train it did slow
I'm in a new place
The moonlight does glow
On my tired face
It's time for me
To try and find a bed
It's time for me
To rest my weary head
Morning is here
There's sorting to do
I'll sound sincere
With my goodbye to you
I'll travel south and I'll travel north
I'll travel east and I'll travel west
I just want to find the road that is best
It's time to move away
I'm not satisfied
I've spent many a day
Finding a place to reside
There's a town on my mind
It's just down the track
No need to find
A way to get back
The train I will get
Sitting at the station
The future is set
I feel anticipation
I'll travel south and I'll travel north
I'll travel east and I'll travel west
I just want to find the road that is best

In Your Mind There Remains Unrest
If you can't see it in the East.
And it can't be seen in the North.
So you look about in the West,
To declare that the South is best.
But,
Yet in your mind there remains unrest.
If you can't see it in the East.
And it can't be seen in the North.
So you look about in the West,
To declare that the South is best.
You seek a model,
In the East.
One you can bottle,
From the North.
To establish a nest,
One picked from the West.
And,
In the South you'll have that house...
Successfully built by an architect.
You seek a model,
In the East.
One you can bottle,
From the North.
To establish a nest,
One picked from the West.
And,
In the South you'll have that house...
Successfully built by an architect.
If you can't see it in the East.
And it can't be seen in the North.
So you look about in the West,
To declare that the South is best.
But,
Yet in your mind there remains unrest.

Wind
He shouts in the sails of the ships at sea,
He steals the down from the honeybee,
He makes the forest trees rustle and sing,
He twirls my kite till it breaks its string.
Laughing, dancing, sunny wind,
Whistling, howling, rainy wind,
North, South, East and West,
Each is the wind I like the best.
He calls up the fog and hides the hills,
He whirls the wings of the great windmills,
The weathercocks love him and turn to discover
His whereabouts -- but he's gone, the rover!
Laughing, dancing, sunny wind,
Whistling, howling, rainy wind,
North, South, East and West,
Each is the wind I like the best.
The pine trees toss him their cones with glee,
The flowers bend low in courtesy,
Each wave flings up a shower of pearls,
The flag in front of the school unfurls.
Laughing, dancing, sunny wind,
Whistling, howling, rainy wind,
North, South, East and West,
Each is the wind I like the best.

Sonnet V
Not undelightful, friend, our rustic ease
To grateful hearts; for by especial hap,
Deep nested in the hill's enormous lap,
With its own ring of walls and grove of trees,
Sits, in deep shelter, our small cottage - nor
Far-off is seen, rose carpeted and hung
With clematis, the quarry whence she sprung,
O mater pulchra filia pulchrior,
Whither in early spring, unharnessed folk,
We join the pairing swallows, glad to stay
Where, loosened in the hills, remote, unseen,
From its tall trees, it breathes a slender smoke
To heaven, and in the noon of sultry day
Stands, coolly buried, to the neck in green.

My Mysterious Flower
Fragrant -Mauve, Purple - Flower
Violet my best flower
You make me at ease you give me Power
Lavender Flower - Mysterious Flower
what a relaxing scent! There is No More Stress
a field of Lavender thwarts a deep Sadness
You're my balm - you soothe my annoyance
Just one deep breath- I go into a trance
your enigmatic color, make me pensive
meditiative
contemplative,
introspective,
reflective.
I wonder the Lavender scenery
I dive
no north, no south, no east, no west
I am your faithful captive.

Warm Spot Hot
Struzick
You make my worm spot hot
You make my bells ring-too ding-ding
You make my warm spot hot
And the things I need a lot you got
Woah my little baby
You know you drive me crazy
You make me feel so good I say wow, yeah
This has got to be the only way for me
There aint nothing going to stop me now
You say your daddy dont like me much
Thats cause he knows I got that touch
And theres some things of yours he knows
I been touching too much
But you make my worm spot hot
You make my bells ring too,ring-ding ding-a-ling
You make my warm spot hot
The things I need a lot you got
Youve got me turning flips
When you kiss me in the lips
You turn the spark right into a fire
And the flame just wont go out
cause there cant be any doubt
This love of yours is what I desire
The preacher said I aint no saint
Well hes right, thats one thing that I aint
But I pray that me and you
Can do the things we do all night long
cause you make my worm spot hot
You make my bell ring too, brrrrrring ding-ding
You make my warm spot hot, baby
The things I need a lot you got come-on and burn me now
Well Im letting all the people see
That what they say dont bother me
cause youre the one Im thinking of
When I get down ready to love
You make my worm spot hot
You make my bells rings too,ding-ding
You make my warm spot hot
And the things I need a lot you got
You make my warm spot hot
You make my bells ring too, brrrrrring ding
You make my warm spot hot
You make my bells ring too, ding ding ding a-ling

Go To Zero
Hey, hey on your marks, get set go to zero
Present and correct go to zero
North, south, east and west go to zero
Nothing is best go to zero
I do this and I do that, and when its cold, I wear a hat,
Its mostly cold
It pays to advertise thay say, Ill keep my hat on anyway
Or so Im told
When youre on patrol go to zero
By remote control go to zero
Forward, pause, return go to zero
All roads lead astern go to zero
(chorus)
When you miss your cue go to zero
Start the dance, anew go to zero
Black, red, white and blue go to zero
When you lose the one go to zero
Rewind can be fun go to zero
Nudge it left and right go to zero
Dont wait til tonight go to zero
Go to zero!
(chorus)
(go to zero)
Everywhere you go go to zero
Nough is apropos go to zero
North, south, east and west go to zero
Nothing is best go to zero

Dont Smoke In Bed
(w. robinson)
I left a note on his dresser
And my old wedding ring
With these few goodbye words
How can I sing
Goodbye old sleepy head
Im packing you in like I said
Take care of everything
Im leaving my wedding ring
Dont look for me
Ill get ahead
Remember darling
Dont smoke in bed
Dont look for me
Ill get ahead
Remember darling
Dont smoke in bed

The Open Road
THE roads of the Sea
Are thronged with merchantmen;
East and West, North and South
They go and come again.
All precious merchandise
They bear in their hold:
Lest the people be starving
In the night and cold.
Now tell me, good merchants,
How this thing can be
That the white ships are thronging
The roads of the sea?
For there's death in the skies
And there's death on the earth;
And men talked of famine
And a frozen hearth.
Yet the ships they go crowding
The roads of the sea;
They bring home their treasures
To you and to me.
O listen, good people,
And hearing, praise God,
That the watch-dogs are keeping
The ships on their road!
They sit watchful and steady
Where the North winds blow;
Sleepless they are keeping
The roads the ships go.
In the day, in the hour,
They will spring--until then,
Their eyes keep the courses
Of the merchantmen.
Forget not, good people,
When ye heap the white board,
When ye draw to the hearth-fire,
To praise the Lord,
That the watch-dogs unsleeping
Keep the roads of the Sea,
Up by the Northern Lights
Where the great ships be.
