Work is the rest

To work is to relax.
I don’t see the time pass.
To be with guests is tense.
To keep peace is to be tense.

Tense

I know not
What is tense
I know
Tense has no tense.
Tense for tense
With no time
With no form
I am above tense.

Attitude for justice

I am at ease to hate but tense when hated.
I am at ease to love but tense when rivaled.
I am at ease to seek but tense when rejected.
I am at ease to cuckold but tense when cuckolded.

Can there be attitude for justice?

Some Are Less Tense

Time bound, track bound, a runner is tense.
Time bound, task bound, a worker is tense.
Odd bound, risk bound, a master is tense.
Failure not minded, some are less tense.

Future Tense

(myles goodwyn)
Published by northern goody two tunes, ltd./capac - ascap
Each moments just a reflex
Response is just a motion
The pressure never ends baby
I hope it dont drive me crazy
I dont wanna be a poor boy
It dont help to say gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme
I aint foolin myself now
All I know is what I feel
I know I dont like it
You cant disagree
Come on, say itll be alright
I say yeah, yeah, yeah
Future tense, gone too far
Future tense, a world apart
Future tense, more than a feeling in my heart
Oh yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
I feel a little unbalanced
Between the pros and the con men
I try for satisfaction
You always let it slide
Every day is like the last day
Whatever happened to 50, 50, 50, 50
I dont have a solution
All I know is what I feel baby
I heard about the good life
Id like to give it a try
They say its gonna be alright
I say yeah, yeah, yeah
Future tense, is what I feel
Future tense, is what I see
Future tense, as much for you as it is for me
Oh yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
If you dont like somebody
Say leave me alone
Its just like a bad time
You have to make good on your own
Were racing through time now
Its all hit and run
You say its gonna be alright
I say yeah, yeah, yeah
Future tense, weve gone too far
Future tense, a world apart
Future tense, more than a feelin in my heart
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
No (yeah), no (yeah), no (yeah), oh no

Mensuration

How you dare
And comforward
To enquire
About tense
Where there is
No sense
Where there is
No fence
And you know
I am in tense
When there is
No sense
And you know
I am always
In the world of
Mensuration of poems.

No life is tensionless

Limit of time makes you tense.
Limit of space makes you tense.
Birth to death is your time.
Matter around you is space.
You cannot escape tension.
With your will, you can lighten.

Heath Ledger

I'm the worst auditioner, really, really bad. I mean, you're being judged and I'm just so aware of it that it consumes me. I can't relax, I'm tied in knots, so the voice is very taut and tense.

Be sincere

The child is sincere in what it does;
With no goal set, it will not be tense.
Man is serious in what he does;
With a goal set, he will be tense.
Be sincere rather than serious;
While in action, you live your life.

Over A Cup Of Coffee (Rondine)

Tense, jittery over a cup of coffee
They talked for long hours
A coffee dropp bored of hours
Told the lady with a cup of coffee
'My lady, finish your coffee
A bored dropp on lips yours
Tense, jittery'

'Not mine'said the lady with coffee
'Fault is his wasting hours
Blot or break..his settling hours
So are we and this cup of coffee
Tense, jittery'

Shantaram 29/11/09

[pp.270-404]

Reached p.404, juxtaposition between love –
which always kills romance - and imprisonment
of the man called Lin, the author, he receives
a beating

I can look back with him, but in case of pain in
present tense, I can’t go on; the only pain I can
contemplate is my own, when another person
is suffering

It becomes too much – the woman he loves sud-
denly losing him, I can’t stand the feeling,
Lin Shantaram, Man Of Peace, author
of so many good deeds

Beat by police on page 404 – I can’t go on,
stopped to cry until I’m calm enough to be-
gin again, it hurts too much, give pain to
me in retrospect

NEVER use the present tense!

A poem in a garbage bin

A man dies, yes he is dying.
He lived like a dead man.
Nobody knew about his whereabouts.
My dear English professor,
extremely sorry for my grammar mistakes,
you explained me about vowels, present tense,
past tense, commas, semicolon and et cetera.,
Why all these unnecessary pinchings sir!
He is already dead.
The man who hasn't a family
who worries about him?
Let him rest peacefully.
All in his lifetime he was dead
and now only he is living after the trauma.
His name is common man.

Away From The Home

Non-thinking was a tremendous effort,
I scratched the years one by one.
Between you and me was a river,
it has gone now.
Are you beyond the imagination?
My eyelids bleed,
and there is a painful punctuation.

Give me fireflies,
it is too dark here.
The future tense,
is not relevant now.
Present is very tense.
Books fail to open the lyrics.
I am lonely in the prints.
Life makes a big leap
for the sake of splash.

I place the candles in the wind,
away from the home,
which never was.
Going where the memories,
had seedless interior.
Emptiness sings for space
refuses to be filled in.

Inertia II

Inquest's inner protest. Rest unstressed,
Nirvana sought, time bought, hope fades away.
Efforts unrewarded and unblessed
Reap no fair deal, missed feelings piper pay.
Tense dreams can't role-reverse tear teams unsought,
In pearls they stream, yoked tandem half-suppressed
As witnesses unwilling, hauled to court,
Inner frustration's uninvited guests.
No energy extended is sustained,
Expressions and possessions self-consumed,
Reaction not response reflects soul pained,
Torn between regrets, bets unassumed.
Inertia's apathetic curtain closes
And draws dark blinds behind mind lost to roses.

Overcoming A Writer's Block

Stretch!
If you can't stand up,
stretch as many muscle groups
as possible while
staying seated.

Try tensing and
releasing various
muscle groups.
Starting from your toes,
tense up for perhaps
five to ten seconds
and then let go.

Relax and
then go on to
another muscle group.

Breathe deeply.
Close your eyes;
then,
fill your chest cavity
slowly by taking
four of five short deep breaths.

Hold each breath
until it hurts,
and then let it
out slowly.

Use a calming word
or mental image
to focus on while relaxing.

If you choose a word,
be careful not
to use an imperative.
Don't command
yourself to

'Calm down! '

or 'Relax! '

When you want to come
When you want to come
Relax dont do it
When you want to to go to it

The Air Is Tense, The Air Is Dense

It was a silent evening, this silent
evening,
When a land whose air was tense,
Heard the cries of its children,
As a plane whose air was dense,
Hit the ground and broke its wings.
It was a teary morning, this teary
morning,
When friends had lost friends,
And parents, children,
And children, parents,
And all, something.
It is a painful thing, this painful moment,
If while reading this out loud,
Your voice begins to fade,
As your heart carries pain to your chord.
It is a thin line, oh thin children,
We are here and we are 'is',
And in one step,
We are there, and now 'was'.
It is a marvelment, to my marveled
mind,
When a man wakes and brushes his
teeth,
Holds a bag and hits the streets,
Stands in the middle of an oblivious
crowd,
And offers them transportation to the
world beyond.
It is an ache, in an aching heart,
With fingers weary and worn,
With eyelids heavy and red,
I write that peace and love be born,
And wisdom and hope not be put to bed.
In this age, in an aging world,
Live each day as thy last,
And in no time you will be right,
Hurt no more and hurt no one,
For the air is tense and the air is dense,
And though time like man has come and
gone,
Time will be here and man no more.
