Away From The Home
Non-thinking was a tremendous effort,
I scratched the years one by one.
Between you and me was a river,
it has gone now.
Are you beyond the imagination?
My eyelids bleed,
and there is a painful punctuation.
Give me fireflies,
it is too dark here.
The future tense,
is not relevant now.
Present is very tense.
Books fail to open the lyrics.
I am lonely in the prints.
Life makes a big leap
for the sake of splash.
I place the candles in the wind,
away from the home,
which never was.
Going where the memories,
had seedless interior.
Emptiness sings for space
refuses to be filled in.

Future Tense
(myles goodwyn)
Published by northern goody two tunes, ltd./capac - ascap
Each moments just a reflex
Response is just a motion
The pressure never ends baby
I hope it dont drive me crazy
I dont wanna be a poor boy
It dont help to say gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme
I aint foolin myself now
All I know is what I feel
I know I dont like it
You cant disagree
Come on, say itll be alright
I say yeah, yeah, yeah
Future tense, gone too far
Future tense, a world apart
Future tense, more than a feeling in my heart
Oh yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
I feel a little unbalanced
Between the pros and the con men
I try for satisfaction
You always let it slide
Every day is like the last day
Whatever happened to 50, 50, 50, 50
I dont have a solution
All I know is what I feel baby
I heard about the good life
Id like to give it a try
They say its gonna be alright
I say yeah, yeah, yeah
Future tense, is what I feel
Future tense, is what I see
Future tense, as much for you as it is for me
Oh yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
If you dont like somebody
Say leave me alone
Its just like a bad time
You have to make good on your own
Were racing through time now
Its all hit and run
You say its gonna be alright
I say yeah, yeah, yeah
Future tense, weve gone too far
Future tense, a world apart
Future tense, more than a feelin in my heart
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh no (yeah, yeah, yeah)
No (yeah), no (yeah), no (yeah), oh no

Tense
I know not
What is tense
I know
Tense has no tense.
Tense for tense
With no time
With no form
I am above tense.

No life is tensionless
Limit of time makes you tense.
Limit of space makes you tense.
Birth to death is your time.
Matter around you is space.
You cannot escape tension.
With your will, you can lighten.

In River Of Time
Grains on the ground
With water blossom
Blossom into plants
Plants blossom into tree
The tree become grey
The grey will fall
In the river of time
Books were created
They should be open
Open to be read
Read to understand
Understood when finish
In the river of time
Candles give light
In the river of time
Their stem will shorten
When shorten, we see dark
The books will close
The trees will fall
Candles blow away
Sometimes eyes cry
Memories we hold
But soon we will fall
In the river of time

Attitude for justice
I am at ease to hate but tense when hated.
I am at ease to love but tense when rivaled.
I am at ease to seek but tense when rejected.
I am at ease to cuckold but tense when cuckolded.
Can there be attitude for justice?

In Me, Past, Present, Future meet
In me, past, present, future meet
To hold long chiding conference.
My lusts usurp the present tense
And strangle Reason in his seat.
My loves leap through the future’s fence
To dance with dream-enfranchised feet.
In me the cave-man clasps the seer,
And garlanded Apollo goes
Chanting to Abraham’s deaf ear.
In me the tiger sniffs the rose.
Look in my heart, kind friends, and tremble,
Since there your elements assemble.

A Man Of A Thousand Faces
(music: marillion lyrics: john helmer)
Im the man of a thousand faces
A little piece of me in every part I take
I hold the tape for a thousand races
A different point of view in every speech I make
Cut me a piece of my divided soul
Cry me a river, call it rock and roll
Speak to a leader with the voice of command
And when I talk to God I know hell understand
I speak to machines with the voice of humanity
Ill speak to the wise with the voice of insanity
Im the man of a thousand faces
A little piece of me in every part I take
I hold the tape for a thousand races
A different point of view in every speech I make
Cut me a piece of my divided soul
Cry me a river, call it rock and roll
Give me an attitude and watch me make it lie
Pass me a microphone
I need to testify
Well I speak to machines with the voice of humanity
Speak to the wise with the voice of insanity
Speak to the present in the past and future tense
Speak to a slave with the voice of obedience
Im the man of a thousand ages
You see my face in the stones of the parthenon
You hear my song in the babble of babylon
Im the man of a thousand riches
Be my guest at the feast of satyricon
You spend the money that my logos printed on
Well Ill speak to machines with the voice of humanity
Speak to the wise with the voice of insanity
Speak to the present in the past and future tense
Speak to a slave with the voice of obedience
I stole a fire but it burned up much too soon
I took a leap and I landed on the moon
Look at my life and it looks like cnn
You see something once yknow its gonna come around again
Well Ill speak to machines with the voice of humanity
Speak to the wise with the voice of insanity
Speak to a woman with the fatal charm of a snake
Forgive like a giver and account for all I take
Yes, I speak to machines with the voice of humanity
Speak to the wise with the voice of insanity
Speak like a leader with the voice of power and command
And when I talk to God I know hell understand
Cause Im the man of a thousand faces
Yes Im the man of a thousand faces
I stole a fire but it burned up too much too soon
I took a leap and I landed on the moon..
Voice of command
Voice of a snake
Voice of humanity
Voice of insanity
Voice of command
Voice of a snake
Voice of humanity
Voice of insanity
Voice of command
Voice of obedience
Thousand faces
Thousand races
Cry me a river
Face in the stars
Stones in the parthenon
Babble of babylon
Voice of command
Voice of a snake
Voice of humanity
Voice of insanity
Thousand faces
Thousand races
Cry me a river
Steal a fire
Face in the stars
Stones in the parthenon
Babble of babylon
Landed on the moon

Some Are Less Tense
Time bound, track bound, a runner is tense.
Time bound, task bound, a worker is tense.
Odd bound, risk bound, a master is tense.
Failure not minded, some are less tense.

Shantaram 29/11/09
[pp.270-404]
Reached p.404, juxtaposition between love –
which always kills romance - and imprisonment
of the man called Lin, the author, he receives
a beating
I can look back with him, but in case of pain in
present tense, I can’t go on; the only pain I can
contemplate is my own, when another person
is suffering
It becomes too much – the woman he loves sud-
denly losing him, I can’t stand the feeling,
Lin Shantaram, Man Of Peace, author
of so many good deeds
Beat by police on page 404 – I can’t go on,
stopped to cry until I’m calm enough to be-
gin again, it hurts too much, give pain to
me in retrospect
NEVER use the present tense!

These Bends
I’m more than a little lost and found
But this town, it is dead
And there’s to many hypocrisies in my head
And it just wind, wind, unwinds me out
Just give me some time
Then give me a place, (somewhere new)
Bewildering concepts of time and space
They all just wind, unwind, wind out of me
A year and a day and three broken hearts are
Books lined up on the shelves of
Too many words I said
But I just wind, wind, unwind myself
Ghosts of a thousand memories
Have taken over this place just
Faces in dreams and corners
They help me wind, wind unwind myself out
Of this place and at this time
I need a new escape
When is my next escape?
Or release, from me, my mind, my fears, my dreams
So I don’t wind, wind, unwind, myself out of here

Soft Bomb Salad
Inside of a moment shines the wet unbelievable
Beside every problem there's a rat under siege
And broken with all the right drugs
In time, in depth, in present tense
I'm cold and awful, yes I know
Uptight, intent on making sense
We are who we are
Instead of a motion there's a rest unachievable
Because in a cold wind there's a laugh underneath
Unspoken in all the right tongues
In time, in depth, in present tense
I'm cold and awful, yes I know
Uptight intent on making sense
We are who we are
In mind and breath, in my own head
I'm so unpopular, I know
In life and death, and second chance
We are who we are
And half along
Were slaughtered in song
When left alone
We were unsafe
When all is done
To be honestly numb
is all I can be lying here
Awake
A mild psychosis holds my hand underneath it all
A kind of ferocious old regret on its knees
And groping for just the right gun

Everyone Needs Someone
The days of the lonely are numbered ones.
They count them as they go.
They are days with dragged out moments
that always move too slow.
They don't look towards the future.
They don't want memories of the past.
They live out their teary moments
and pray they will not last.
Lonleliness is an affliction
that hits right at the heart.
It's palpable and painful
seeming never to depart.
Thoughts of why don't bring answers
for answers seem to lie
deep within a deep, dark hole
filled with a continuous sigh.
Some are lonely due to loss.
Some are closed up souls,
never open to friendship.
Some are hard to console.
Some come into the world this way.
These are the loners who've come to say
'I don't need others on any day.'
But when the day comes for them to leave
they now wish for someone to grieve.

Cobwebs in My Mind
You can lead a horse to water,
but you cannot make it drink.
I lead my pen to paper,
but it refuses to write.
My pen is not empty,
but I feel my imagination is
and I wonder if
I have run out of steam.
The world is filled with wondrous things
that my minded refuses to think about.
Once upon a time
my imagination gushed from my pen,
now it’s only a trickle
and only now and then.
I sit here at my desk
and look out the window
at the wind blowing the trees.
Maybe if I stood outside
it might blow away
the cobwebs in my mind.

Owner Of Lonely Heart
Move yourself
You always live your life
Never thinking of the future
Prove yourself
You are the move you make
Take your chances win or loser
See yourself
You are the steps you take
You and you and that's the only way
Shake, shake yourself
You're every move you make
So the story goes
{Refrain} Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Much better than a
Owner of a broken heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Say you don't want to chance it
You've been hurt so before
Watch it now The eagle in the sky
How he dancin' one and only
You, lose yourself
No not for pity's sake
There's no real reason to be lonely
Be yourself Give your free will a chance
You've got to want to succeed
{Refrain}
Owner of a lonely heart
After my own decision
They confused me so
Owner of a lonely heart
My love said never question your will at all
In the end you've got to go Look before you leap
Owner of a lonely heart
And don't you hesitate at all, no no
{Refrain twice}
Owner of a lonely heart
Sooner or later each conclusion
Will decide the lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
It will excite it will delight
It will give a better start
Owner of a lonely heart
Don't deceive your free will at all
Don't deceive your free will at all
Owner of a lonely heart
Don't deceive your free will at all
Just receive it

The Long Tunnel of Wanting You
This is the long tunnel of wanting you.
Its walls are lined with remembered kisses
wet & red as the inside of your mouth,
full & juicy as your probing tongue,
warm as your belly against mine,
deep as your navel leading home,
soft as your sleeping cock beginning to stir,
tight as your legs wrapped around mine,
straight as your toes pointing toward the bed
as you roll over & thrust your hardness
into the long tunnel of my wanting,
seeding it with dreams & unbearable hope,
making memories of the future,
straightening out my crooked past,
teaching me to live in the present present tense
with the past perfect and the uncertain future
suddenly certain for certain
in the long tunnel of my old wanting
which before always had an ending
but now begins & begins again
with you, with you, with you.
