The feather and the cap

With a coin in my pocket,
Shall I buy milk for my child
Or pills for my ailing parent?
A child is a feather to the cap.
An old is a worn out cap.

The first and the second childhood

The same house housed
An invalid old and an innocent child.
Both need to be tended,
Fed, bathed, clothed and toileted.
One is the feather to the cap
And the other the overgrown nail.
One cries for milk and the other, for death.
One is cheered and the other, ignored.
The child is tomorrow’s unwanted

Be a child-parent-adult

To the child, it is a day.
To the parent, it is a night.
To the adult both are inclusive.

The child lives in fantasy.
The parent lives in fallacy.
It is the adult that lives,
Where he is put, in ecstasy.

The child admires things.
The parent criticizes them.
The adult realizes them.

The child appreciates.
The parent deprecates.
The adult rationalizes.

The poet is the child in man.
The priest is the parent in man.
The logician is the adult in man.

Live a child to be youthful.
Live a parent to be awesome.
Live an adult to be credible.

Married But Not A Parent

MARRIED BUT NOT A PARENT

We have a couple living in the upstairs
sound of music, through the windows always blare
their house is full of modern wares,
yet, they are as sad, as having been lost in a desert so bare

a decade of marriage with pills and pilgrimages
cursing remarks befall on them in barrage
for some unknown defects in their human hardware
harvesting a child is to them, the biggest nightmare

one plus one, how much they would spend
with their bank balances growing in leaps and bounds
the purchasing power they have and wield
is not just enough for them, to fish out a child

not every child is the best asset
nor every parent is proud of his product
they need not be in tears - for not becoming a parent
since the patents they produce are sure to bring them to lament

When a woman gives birth to a child, the child needs to be able to digest the mother's milk; but when this child is old enough to begin to eat other foods, there is some switching off of this ability to consume milk.

The Falling Feather

A feather
floating on the air
as white as a cotton
in the space of nowhere
stubbornly
hovering
off the ground
while the lost feathered-child,
from its winged-parent's
untimely death
by the act of wind-wild
that took her breath
forcefully
sending
its feather
falls
onto the girl's palm
blown with her wish…….
chirping
tweeting
chirping
as the feather
now muddled in the sand.

Thalidomide Child

Got in the water,
Got in the lead,
Got in your head,
Theyre all dead.
Thalidomide child,
Thalidomide child,
Thalid-thalidomide child.
How long it took,
The sleeping pills,
They didnt know,
That it would kill.
Thalidomide child,
Thalidomide child,
Thalid-thalidomide child.
When youre born,
Try to hide,
Itll get you,
Thalidomide.
Thalidomide child,
Thalidomide child,
Thalid-thalidomide child.
How long it took,
The sleeping pills,
They didnt know,
That it would kill,
When youre born,
Try to hide,
Itll get you,
Thalidomide.
Thalidomide child,
Thalidomide child,
Thalid-thalidomide child.

Old Child

Child. Old child,
No longer wild;
No longer speaking,
No longer beguiled;
I have become
A quiet old child.

Child. Old child,
No longer cold;
Never an old man,
Always too old;
I have become
An old child tenfold.

Child. Old child,
Forever a child;
Always rethinking,
Always exiled.
I should become
A happy old child.

Child. Old child.
Always soft-spoken;
No longer breaking,
Still being broken;
I have become
An old child, unspoken.

Child. Old child,
No longer bold;
By thinking, rethinking
Of stories untold,
All through my childhood,
I've become... old.

My Mind....My child

Sometimes laughing....
Without stopping
Causes some throbbing...
My mind is my child!

Threatens me like enemy....
Having lots of alibies
Making me feel sorry....
My mind is my child!

Reluctunt for exercise...
Abundunt shows of laziness
Fighting with routines....
My mind is my child!

Looking at guys and guls....
Awesome for gulps....
And else...and else...
My mind is my child!

Looking always for comforts...
Cajolling also a part...
Sleeps at the dark...
With the sounds of my heart...!
My mind is my child!
My mind is my child!

Giving Up Is Hard To Do

Giving up is hard to do.
Even for those who walk away.
Convinced that this is what they've done.

A parent who has had it with a disrespectful child,
Seems to be the first one to come to that child's aid.
Feeling remorse and guilty as to how that child was raised.

Who Will Cry?

Who will cry for the little child who goes for days without food?
Who will cry for the little child who parents beat them?
Who will cry for the little child who is mistreated for being different?
Who will cry for the little child who goes unloved?
Who will cry for the little child whose stomach is swelled up?
Who will cry for the little child who doesn't have clothes to wear?
Who will cry for the little child who is shunned for not being popular?
Who will cry for the little child who is molested every night?
Who will cry for the little child who's parents are not around?
Who will cry for the little child who has to take care of his self?
Who will cry?
Will you cry?
Cause I have.

Give This Child What She Needs

Give this child what she needs
Love
Give this child what she needs
Shelter
Give this child what she needs
Prayers
Give this child what she needs
Some food and water
Give this child what she needs
Good parents
Give this child what she needs
Good manors
Give this child what she needs
A smoke free home
Give this child what she needs
Peace and happiness
Give this child what she needs
To know God
Give this child what she needs
Your guidance
Give this child what she needs
Clothes
Give this child what she needs
Your support
Give this child what she needs
Some family time
Give this child what she needs
A nice bath every day
Give this child what she needs
Some discipline
Give this child what she needs
A warm bed to sleep on

Nothing New

There will always be war and rumors of war
History and actions are proof to that
What is happening now has happened before
People will always die, and fight and will combat,
Man and woman are meant to suffer and cry
That is the truth and it becomes so transparent
Tears are with them from their birth until they die
But they are meant to love, and then become a parent,
The happiest day in any parent's life
It would be the day that their child is born
A miraculous gift that is given to a man and his wife
And it is given without sadness, shame or scorn,
Sadly the saddest day in any parent's life
Is when they must say goodbye and bury a child
They must live with the sadness and that strife
As from the loss of their child they are beguiled,
An heartbreaking moment in any child's day
Is when they must say goodbye and bury a parent
They weeps their tears their clouds are now gray
Their youth is over and now to them it is apparent,
In the times of peace a son buries his dad
In times of war a father must bury his son
Sadly these deaths occur and it will make one mad
But as they say, there is nothing new under the sun.

Not feeding
For child...

With the beauty..

Milk was given
The child...
Spoil the beauty...
Some body lie..
Emmaging too;

The child...
World bigest
Rong for;
Tommrow world..! ! .

OH!

Feed your milk
For the child...

Separate Beginnings

Everything separates-
Child from parent,
Husband from wife,
Ore from a mine,
Cream from milk,
Butter from cream,
Breath from my lungs.

A churning, changing, complex
Spin, apart, then back again.
The child has children,
Two hearts pair up in a damp Paris street
The earth pushes up the ground –
Too slow for us to see.
Another cow is lead into a stall,
And I inhale the precious essences
Of you, again.

Please, Teach Me

Teach me well the child did say
As to its parent they did speak
As I want to grow up to be the best I can,
So please to me, wont you teach.
I want to learn and I want to be taught
To be the best that I really can,
And when I get older and I am on my own
I will thank you, for creating who I am.
I don't want to lie and I don't want to cheat
And I want everyone to me proud of me
An honest and loyal person I wanna be known
And I want to be as smart as I can be.
I want to be truthful and I want to be trusted
To all my family and my friends
I want devotion to be my middle name
And I want to know nothing of evil and or sin.
You are the one that will affect my life
The child said to its parent as they spoke
Whatever I become, it will be because of you
Whether I swear, or drink, or even smoke.
And when I get older will I be like you
And will I ever have a family of my own
Will I be the roll model for my children then
Or will I leave them when they are all alone.
And when you get older and your hair is gray
The child said to its parent that it loved
Will I turn out the way I wish I didn't
And will you pray for help from GOD above.
The child said its prayer as it went to bed
And then closed its eyes as it went to sleep
Please be the model from which I will learn, they said
And please for me, wont you teach.

Sadness into one Heart

Sadness into one Heart
as child we look up to our
elders we teach from them
watch the steam a rose bloom
that is how a child bring up
to watch the sadness of child
bring tears to the parents
we shine for a while now these
days we watch our babies grow
up but some children are still
a child them as they still babies
themselves child heart beats
little heart wonder how there
future holds when you walk outside
all I saw is buggies everywhere
to see the sadness of a child
is not ready to be having a baby
on themselve prayers go out
to them and strenth they would have
sadness by a child and a parent

Runaway Child

Runaway Child, don’t have to take it anymore

Runaway Child, just walk out of that door

Runaway Child, no more chances to take

Runaway Child, it’s your choice to make

Runaway Child, aren’t you sick and tired of the pain

Runaway Child, here there’s nothing to gain

Runaway Child, you get treated like dirt

Runaway Child, get away from the hurt

Runaway Child, here it’s no use

Runaway Child, get away from the abuse

Runaway Child, you don’t have 9 lives

Runaway Child, take that step or dive

Runaway Child, why are you still there

Runaway Child, how much pain can you bear

Runaway Child, you don’t have to say goodbye

Runaway Child, say goodbye, when they DIE!

Children Reflect Those Ideals Projected

Children,
Reflect those ideals projected.
With a caring less,
Of how their wants and needs are met.

And a child caring less,
Of how their innocent desires are met...
Will do his or her best,
To express no regret...
In the showing just how much they are upset.
With a display of embarrassing tantrums,
A parent tries hard to minimize and suppress.

A 'child' grows up to expect,
That a loud voice heard in protest...
Will get as demanded,
What is wished with no exception.

A child never forgets,
Who promised what and when...
The day and hour,
That promise was mentioned.
Regardless of the dust that may collect in pockets.
Or the emptiness in each corner of a treasure chest.

A child,
Raised to be a 'child' teased by success...
Will never be satisfied by just a taste of it.
Since to sacrifice is not,
A conditional part of a child's mindset.

A CHILD,
No matter how old that child gets...
Will demand what is wanted,
Caring less who pays for it.
