How To Meditate
To be in meditation,
You must be with yourself,
Forgetting about the rest.
One way of practicing it
Is count your normal breaths,
A hundred or for ten minutes.
Lying on ground, deep in thought,
Eyes closed, with alarm timing,
You can watch breaths for more good.

Short of Breath
One breath, two breaths, three breaths, four,
my breathing’s weak and my chest is sore.
Five breaths, six breaths, seven breaths, eight,
I have to breathe deeply at a slower rate.
One breath, two breaths, three breaths, four,
I’m four breaths closer than I was before.
Five breaths, six breaths, seven breaths, eight,
my mouth’s wide open, but I can’t inflate.
One breath, two breaths, three breaths, four,
it’ll be the end when I breathe no more.
Five breaths, six breaths, seven breaths, eight,
I’m sure someone's rattling heaven's gate.
One breath, two breaths, three breaths, four,
well that’s it, I can't count no more.

Timely Matters
I count my days
By the breaths I take
For in those breaths
Come a hope of better tomorrow
For secounds turn to minutes
Minutes into hours
Hours into to days
They will go on after
I am gone
So with each breath I am blessed
To see all the Lords provided
This miracle called life
Which time is only a play thing

Unleash To Drift
I quiet down to rest inside.
With deep slow breaths.
And shut eyes.
There I find I am 'rejuvenized'.
Restored and energized am I.
And my mind becomes free,
From any activity...
I wish to release from me,
To flee. To go. Away.
I quiet down to rest inside.
With deep slow breaths.
And shut eyes.
I strengthen...
As weaknesses unleash,
To drift as if on command to vanish.

Countdown
Trailer red like the sea
Well I'm the son of a crowded bed
Find your love's gonna count for me
Your love that breaths, breeds
Gonna paste up our damn heads
Gonna drop, gonna drop, gonna count for me
Your love that breaths, breeds
Your love that's catchin' the breeze.
Son of a crowded bed
Son of a cloudy night
Well find your love's gonna count for me, your love's gonna count for me
We'll count down (8x)
Yeah
Waitin' for a chance to pass
Some ho say some say now go
Lookin' for a chance for speed
A love that breaths, breeds
High time getting past black
Gonna drop, gonna drop, gonna count for me
Your love that breaths, breeds
Your love that's catchin' the breeze
Son of a crowded bed
Son of a cloudy night
Find your love's gonna count for me, your love's gonna count for me
We'll count down (16x)
Yeah

With A Lesser Chance To Be Evil
Giving 'in' wasn't enough.
I had to give up and walk away,
From all that 'stuff'.
All that teasing 'bling',
I just had to touch...
With a belief I needed,
To sit on a throne as if I were king.
Giving 'in' wasn't enough.
Giving foolishness up I thought would be tough.
But...
When I did my heart felt free.
Renewed I then became everything...
I was meant all along to be.
With less chance to feel evil.
Or romanced wishes I had turf that would never be taxed.
So glad I gave up thoughts like that!
Oh,
Those delusions I did have packed and stacked on my back.
With chips on my shoulder to create my own Central Park.
Paved and tree lined with unforgiveable misery.
I removed a greed from me.
With a lesser chance to be evil.
I felt victory released to free.
With a lesser chance to be evil.
Darkness chased away from my side.
With a lesser chance to be evil.
Not within me will it reside.
With a lesser chance to be evil.
I rid myself of fantasies.
With a lesser chance to be evil.
I learned to take deep breaths to breathe.
With a lesser chance to be evil.
Giving 'in' wasn't enough.
I had to give up and walk away,
From all that 'stuff'.
All that teasing 'bling'.
Blinging me too much.
I rid myself of fantasies.
With a lesser chance to be evil.
I learned to take deep breaths to breathe.
With a lesser chance to be evil.
I learned to take deep breaths to breathe.
With a lesser chance to be evil.
I learned to take deep breaths to breathe.
With a lesser chance to be evil.
I learned to take deep breaths to breathe.
With a lesser chance to be evil.

Eight Minutes To One
In the early hours the radio alarm
went off at eight minutes to one
despite me setting it earlier for six
and checking that it was on.
Now wide awake I rechecked the setting;
and I had definitely made no mistake.
I put it down to an electrical malfunction
and fell asleep until it was time to wake.
I didn’t think any more about the alarm
and continued with my normal day.
The alarm was already set for six o’clock
so I went to bed in the usual way.
At eight minutes to one the alarm went off
exactly the same time as the previous night.
Again I checked on my alarm settings
and again everything was set right.
This time I unplugged the whole radio unit
and recalibrated the time and alarm.
I was now happy that all would be okay
and fell asleep relaxed and calm.
The following night I went to bed as usual
and slept until eight minutes to one.
The cursed radio alarm went off again,
so this radio’s days were done.
The next day I bought an electrical travel clock
and tried out the alarm there and then.
It worked like a charm and I was very pleased,
so that night I went to bed at ten.
At eight minutes to one the alarm went off again
and I could hardly believe this to be true.
I was faced with a problem that had to be sorted,
and a mechanical clock should do.
I bought a large brass, twin belled wind up clock;
set the alarm and several times tried it out.
That night I retired expecting a good night’s sleep,
with no electrics to care about.
At eight minutes to one the alarm went off,
and I threw the clock against the wall.
I was now convinced something supernatural
was causing the earlier morning call.
Over the next few days I tried several clocks
and the alarms went off the same.
In the end I didn’t have a clock in the room,
and I never will again.

But Enough
I love the look that's in your eyes
when we're lying close together.
Gentle warmth with a hint of smile
telling me you love me,
just a little bit.
I love our long slow kisses,
lips and tongues so softly
caressing one another
while breathing breaths
that thrill me deep inside.
And then your eyes once more,
with their matchless message,
that I am loved,
by you,
just a little bit.

Autumnal Math
The ground assumes its portent.
The good of the season remains in what is left behind.
It takes what lays down or is laid down upon it.
You'd think it a kind of king of accountants.
You'd sink down an addition of arithmetics,
heartbeats, breaths, footings found and lost,
all the unintended landings of a life.
You'd think it wouldn't stop.
You'd sink down even wide awake in this season.
Such sinking pretends its endings in countless
geometries of folding life down or over
and under sundering fractions apart,
forgetting theorems, all but the final one.
The rest can change or pretend to.
Admit you are no good at numbers.
Admit you can only count to a certain sum,
or down to it. Reverse your life if you want to,
wind it down with a memory. Beef up the end.
Noble or not, you can fake it.
Planning is what counts for indemnity.
You can make it seem to make sense.
You can try a new line on every stranger you meet.
You've only begun to juggle Euclid anew under
white lids painted shut with mortician's abacus.
You know a new counting accounting for fainter signs,
new ground to flick numbers between your teeth.
What's left behind is now wrong.
The good of it is what belongs to the
laying down of lines about what you've
finally done. Recounting your old formulas
gives some lingering warm to nerves on edge.
No hedging now.
The ground assumes its importance.
The season rattles all our leaving
in its cupped hand.

Unbelıevable Thought
I never thought about the fact
that I could ever lose you.
To me, it seemed impossible.
That could never come true.
I would never let that thought
ever cross my mind.
I guess I just closed my eyes
and shut the window blind.
And there in my lonely heart
I would always find you.
For that's where you live, you know
where love is a rendezvous.
You are the heart that beats my life.
You make my breaths come slow.
My life is so entwined with you.
So I cannot let you go.
I will not think about the fact
that I could ever lose you.
For you have changed just who I am.
The other me is through.

As My Children....
i watched the old woman die,
and listened to her last breaths...
and all i could see was a small child,
offering me the feather of a sparrow.
i walked down to the creek and listened,
and heard the voices of a thousand years.
none were near, yet none were far,
i could feel them press against my skin.
do we come and go,
or is that just an illusion?
i think we just are,
yet we are not we....
by the way i named each of her breaths,
and raised them as my children!

Satisfaction Comes
Whatever it takes...
Break from that hostage feeling!
Reel yourself in...
Bait life and start your healing.
Toss misfortunes,
Take deep breaths and breathe!
Whatever you have...
Be glad and count your fortunes!
Know you are blessed.
And your tests are distortions!
Only you can be your own best enemy.
Chase away those clouds,
That feed you grief.
Dissolve your blocks.
Stop and dropp all complaining!
Get the upper hand.
Command the 'ship' your sailing!
You are in the center of your fears.
Steer away from them and they will clear!
Whatever it takes,
Break from that hostage feeling!
Reel yourself in...
Bait life and start your healing.
Toss misfortunes,
Take deep breaths and breathe!
Satisfaction comes if you believe.
Chase away those clouds,
That feed you grief!
The Sun awaits to shine,
On your wants and needs!
Command and demand your desires...
With belief!

Dedication to.....
It's more than just pain,
the walls closing in,
where do I begin? ...
(Breaths)
She's beautiful and smart
an intellectual with heart
been through the storms
fought demons in all forms
wrestling with grief
still she grinds her teeth.
Memories are always haunting
and the future forever daunting
but press on she must
steady and without fuss.
Miracles do happen, slowly
but right now she is lonely
A heart broken too often
she thinks it'll never soften.
But... (breaths)
She's beautiful and smart
an intellectual with heart
the cycle must be broken
no more lies shall be spoken.
she says 'Don't promise me
All I want is honesty.'
But her hearts been broken too often
so she thinks it'll never soften.
(Breaths)
The truth for her is hard to see
A diva she is A QUEEN she will be

Daydreams
I lie amidst a pride of dandelions.
Odoriferous breaths overwhelm me.
Above, a sea with white wispy phantoms
Silently, adrift, like lost ships at sea.
I close my eyes but still see everything.
For what's perceived is also imagined.
A subtle April breeze whispers.. it's spring!
I smile with eyes still closed then I begin
Soliloquy: I need no gallery
Nor brush and palette to paint that which I see.
All I have seen is stored in memory
And abstract thought can launch this reverie.
I lie still among these yellow flowers
Lost in springtime daydreams by the hour.

Divergence
Don't concern yourself,
With my activities.
They are unimportant!
Just keep paying my fees...
And I guarantee you,
Your life will be enriched.
You have my promise...
Your life will never be the same.
Ever again!
That you can count on.
Just keep your focus,
On the dancing bunny.
'Aren't you practicing divergence? '
Practicing?
Who's practicing?
I am implementing.
But don't worry about it.
You are going to fit right in.
It is going to captivate.
More than your fascination,
With that rabbit.
Your life will never be the same.
Ever again!
That you can count on.
Just keep your focus,
On the dancing bunny.
I'll keep you informed...
When that reform comes.

Climbing And Climbing
for every step
a hundred deep breaths
you know how hard it
is to climb a mountain
but he chooses the mountains
though hard
as its sides are steep and sharp
because it is only through
mountains that he can
rise from the plains
the wise man once says
he chooses the mountain
because it is there.

This subtle cycle
Of hidden feelings
Trapped internally
Seething love
Lurking beneath the voice
And the mood of reflection
Closing eyes
Deep breaths

I Was There
She grasped my fingers so tightly
as she took slow deep breaths.
A feeling of inadequacy came over me,
while she endured the pain and stress.
I couldn't believe her fortitude
as my fingers turned ghostly white.
Her courage never faltered for a moment,
and she remained a beautiful sight.
During a respite she eased on my fingers,
as I wiped the beads from her brow.
Her eye watering smile said more in that instant
than could be spoken at any hour.
Once more she pressured my fingers,
as the ordeal quickly resumed.
Timing and breathing were now essential
with more movement from the womb.
The time was now perfect for the delivery,
as instructions were called to push.
Then stop… then push once again,
then a head with a hand, and swoosh.
What a remarkable, beautiful baby,
my feet weren't touching the ground.
Mother and baby were truly incredible,
and I was there for every sight and sound.
