Philosophers say
Is an illusion
For each second that is in the coming
Is uncertain
Hazy and a mirage
Past is lost
And it is spilt milk
Nothing can be done
With the past
Each previous second is as past
As the previous century
They suggest
For keeping up with the pace of time
It would be wise
Not to dream of the future
And not to lament on the past

Sonnet- Whither Research Today
Research has reached the fringe of disciplines,
And opened new vistas for newer fields;
So exciting are these grey areas since,
Mankind ventures forth to improve its yields.
Despite the many secrets unraveled,
Man keeps pushing forward with giant strides;
Through mountains, seas, man seems to have tunneled;
No more he cares for time or even tides.
And everywhere there’re business potentials!
The money spent can give back bigger sums;
Foolhardy men submit credentials,
In newer fields, world-o’er without much scums.
There is no end to man’s curiosity;
