Don’t believe in total
We more often join others
In their praises or abuses
Of things or persons,
More to please them than ourselves
And thus cheat our conscience.
No one sides you whole-heartedly.

Better Not To Cheat
You cannot cheat conscience;
You can silence it though.
You cannot cheat the Nature;
You cannot silence it either.
You can cheat on your wife
But not beyond suspicion.
Better don’t cheat to get imbalanced.

Ill Try Anything
(mark barkan / vic millrose)
You belong
To somebody else and not to me
Right or wrong
Thats not the way that its gonna be
I want you so much inside
Im throwin away all my conscience and pride, and
Ill try anything to get you
Ill do anything I can
Ill try anything to get you
Ill cheat and Ill lie
And Ill try til I die
til I make you my man
Gonna make you my man
Ive been burned
Whenever Ive followed all the rules
So Ive learned
That playing it fair is just for fools
Im fighting and win or lose
Im not minding my ps and qs, and
Ill try anything to get you
Ill do anything I can
Ill try anything to get you
Ill cheat and Ill lie
Try til I die
til I make you my man
My man, hey, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I want you so much inside
Im throwin away all my conscience and pride, and
Ill try anything to get you
Ill do anything I can
Ill try anything to get you
Ill cheat and Ill lie
Try til I die
til I make you my man
Gonna make you my man
Gonna make you my man, yeah
Make you my man
Gonna fight til I die
Gonna cheat and lie

Sonnet: Most People These Days
Some people cheat me; themselves do they cheat!
Some people stab me but I will not die;
Some people spread lies by their loud drumbeat;
But like a log-like Buddha, I still lie!
Some persons mislead but to no avail;
Some persons misinform but can’t succeed;
Some use influence, truth but will prevail;
Soon land you will see! Waters will recede.
These people seem to be blind as a bat;
Their veil of sins covers their earthly eyes;
Money ill-earned can make them thin or fat!
Addicted they’re to a world of big lies!
Just a few good souls God, I seem to see!
And even such minds, confused seem to be.

He who praises in praesentia, and abuses in absentia, have with him pestilentia.
Dignity and divinity
Dignity is the reputation
Acceptable to the conscience.
Divinity is the sacrifices
Induced by the conscience.

Give fitting send off
The praises and abuses showered on me
When I am about to go to the grave
Will come with me to stay with me.
Praise a man when he’s in tether end.

Great abuses in the world are begotten, or, to speak more boldly, all the abuses of the world are begotten, by our being taught to be afraid of professing our ignorance, and that we are bound to accept all things we are not able to refute: we speak of all things by precepts and decisions. The style at Rome was that even that which a witness deposed to having seen with his own eyes, and what a judge determined with his most certain knowledge, was couched in this form of speaking: “it seems to me.” They make me hate things that are likely, when they would impose them upon me as infallible.

The Undeserving Cases
When praises are thrown on me
I know that I have undeserved.
When abuses are slung at me
I feel that I have undeserved.

I know that it can be very easy, under the intensive pressures of a campaign, for even well-intentioned people to fall into shady tactics — to rationalize this on the grounds that what is at stake is of such importance to the Nation that the end justifies the means. And both of our great parties have been guilty of such tactics in the past. In recent years, however, the campaign excesses that have occurred on all sides have provided a sobering demonstration of how far this false doctrine can take us. The lesson is clear: America, in its political campaigns, must not again fall into the trap of letting the end, however great that end is, justify the means. I urge the leaders of both political parties, I urge citizens, all of you, everywhere, to join in working toward a new set of standards, new rules and procedures to ensure that future elections will be as nearly free of such abuses as they possibly can be made. This is my goal. I ask you to join in making it America's goal.

Join Together
When you here this sound a-comin,
Hear the drummers drumming,
I want you to join together with the band,
We dont move in any ticular direction,
And we dont make no collections,
I want you to join together with the band.
Do you really think I care,
What you read or what you wear,
I want you to join together with the band,
Theres a million ways to laugh,
And every ones a path,
Come on and join together with the band.
Everybody join together, I want you to join together,
Come on and join together with the band,
We need you to join together, come on and join together,
Come on and join together with the band.
You dont have to play,
You can follow or lead the way,
I want you to join together with the band,
We dont know where were going,
But the seasons right for knowing,
I want you to join together with the band.
Its the singer not the song,
That makes the music move along,
I want you to join together with the band,
This is the biggest band youll find,
Its as deep as it is wide,
Come on and join together with the band,
Hey hey hey hey hey hey, well everybody come on.
Come on and join, join together with the band,
We need you to join together, everybody come on,
Hey hey hey, join together with the band.

Treasure for joy
Need two persons,
Mummy and daddy,
the result is me;
Need two persons,
My grandparents,
to take care of me;
Need two persons,
Child specialist and family physician,
to look after my health;
Need two persons,
My loving teachers,
to teach me manners;
Need two persons,
My sincere friends,
for play and pastime;
Time has come,
A good job has come,
A happy companion has come;
A beautiful wife to share my life,
We have two children, a girl and boy,
They are our treasure for joy.

And You Too Will Eat What We Are Eating
come now
i have praises for you
about what you have written
come join me
on this table
i am eating my words
that i have just vomitted
it is not fattening
it is indeed enriching
this vomit
this acceptance of
i have committed an error
i have not predicted the way things ought to happen
i have not looked at you well enough
come
join us and you too shall eat what we are eating
words and nothing but words
but you can make the difference
with your beautiful eyes
your beautiful soul
we will listen now
you must sing your most beautiful songs
as we eat our own words
as we swallow our own prides
as we accept what we are
in our uselessness
in our misery

Wise Advice
If persons do not want to change for good,
Advise them if you can, sometimes;
If persons are recalcitrant in mood,
Try advising them in some better climes!
If persons do not listen or pay heed,
Ignore their misdemeanor, if you can;
If persons appear to be ‘blind’ indeed,
Just watch them from a farther distance, man.
If persons are too adamant to change,
Leave them to change the hard way, if they must;
If persons are in ‘impossible’ range,
Leave them to God or let them bite the dust!

Don’t get moved.
Praises thrown at one in public
Are customary with little truth.
Abuses made about one in public
Are the hired men’s with little truth.

Sonnet: On Conscience
The modern man ignores his conscience,
And does much things against it if need be;
And thereby forgets God, believing Science,
And tries to be worldly-wise mostly.
God-given conscience is always right;
At times, man's judgement goes wildly amiss;
His inner voice guides man to see God's light;
His perspective of worldly things and bliss.
One can be blind of eyes and reach Heaven;
When blind to conscience, you can't see God;
Love God by serving His unfortunate men,
For souled are we to glorify the clod.
Blest is the man who acts per conscience;
You can't serve God and men by just man's science.

My Persons
My person
My person
My
Brother and sister
Persons
You and we and
Us and all
Lets go row
Row
Row row wheel
We'll row
The wheel
Everyone belongs
In a hall
Of all of
Names belong
To things
Of queens
And kings
And priests
And
My persons
My brother
And sister

Of The Visage Of Things
OF the visages of things--And of piercing through to the accepted
hells beneath;
Of ugliness--To me there is just as much in it as there is in
beauty--And now the ugliness of human beings is acceptable to
me;
Of detected persons--To me, detected persons are not, in any respect,
worse than undetected persons--and are not in any respect worse
than I am myself;
Of criminals--To me, any judge, or any juror, is equally criminal--
and any reputable person is also--and the President is also.

Used and Abused
I feel like nobody cares
Nobody wants me around
Nobody likes me
They all just hate me
But then I think about it
And it's only you
You are the one that doesn't care
You are the one that abuses me
Abuses my niceness
And my good nature
No more
No more will you abuse me
I'm done with you
You and your abusiveness
I'm sick of it all
I'm sick of being used and abused
