Walt Whitman

Of The Visage Of Things

OF the visages of things--And of piercing through to the accepted
hells beneath;
Of ugliness--To me there is just as much in it as there is in
beauty--And now the ugliness of human beings is acceptable to
me;
Of detected persons--To me, detected persons are not, in any respect,
worse than undetected persons--and are not in any respect worse
than I am myself;
Of criminals--To me, any judge, or any juror, is equally criminal--
and any reputable person is also--and the President is also.

Treasure for joy

Need two persons,
Mummy and daddy,
the result is me;

Need two persons,
My grandparents,
to take care of me;

Need two persons,
Child specialist and family physician,
to look after my health;

Need two persons,
My loving teachers,
to teach me manners;

Need two persons,
My sincere friends,
for play and pastime;

Time has come,
A good job has come,
A happy companion has come;

A beautiful wife to share my life,
We have two children, a girl and boy,
They are our treasure for joy.

Wise Advice

If persons do not want to change for good,
Advise them if you can, sometimes;
If persons are recalcitrant in mood,
Try advising them in some better climes!

If persons do not listen or pay heed,
Ignore their misdemeanor, if you can;
If persons appear to be ‘blind’ indeed,
Just watch them from a farther distance, man.

If persons are too adamant to change,
Leave them to change the hard way, if they must;
If persons are in ‘impossible’ range,
Leave them to God or let them bite the dust!

And kings

The Sty In Your Eye

Look into your eye, do you see that sty
As I have seen it many times before
Though you said it was not there,
But in your mirror you still stare,
So once again that sty you ignore.
When you are walking, and of course talking
About every person in your life
Tell me do you ever see it,
And from the discomfort do you feel it
That sty that’s in your eye.

What do you see, and what do you believe
When someone has it worse that you
Do you point out their imperfection
And say that they need a correction
Tell me what do you think and do.
You always judge, and hold onto a grudge
And live it with unhappiness and a lie
As though your not happy with your life
So you ridicule others with strife
So you forget about the sty thats in your eye.

You falsely accuse, and you use and abuse
With a glimmer and a joke and a smile
You point out another persons fault
And that persecution from you will not halt
As you do it with anger and hate and vile.
You've seen the mistakes, that others makes
And you'll remember them till the day you die
But until the moment from life you leave
Other persons failings you will always see
Wished you could see the sty in your own eye.

Moral Fiber!

true moral fiber...
is grounded in respect!
respect yourself!
respect the earth!
respect your neighbor!
(everyone is your neighbor)
respect the search for truth.
respect justice!
respect the rights of human beings
to be human beings!
respect the need of each and all!

living thus...
will not allow you to respect,
acts of injustice,
acts of ignorance,
acts of prejudice,
acts of greed!

be respect!

George Washington

My observation is that whenever one person is found adequate to the discharge of a duty... it is worse executed by two persons, and scarcely done at all if three or more are employed therein.

Pot Pourri of Personalities

I see some persons laughing all the time;
They wear a mask of artificial smiles;
Their tongues are smooth and eyes are deceptive;
They boast of living prudently and wise!

They mock at righteous and sincere persons;
They joke and give evasive replies oft;
Their blunders go undetected for long;
They sow the seed of discord amongst men!

And some are spick and span, overly too,
Their body odors by perfumes, well hid;
They weep a tear for some in grief at times;
They trust their toil and do not believe God!

But do they lament within heart always?
They cannot hide their nature real, long;
God knows these persons cheating world at large;
His rod of justice stern, awaits such men.

Firstly, we have personnel records of persons we hired, persons we fired, reasons we fired them and so forth. These records have nothing to do with the assassination of the president and, therefore, ought to remain in the files.

Persons who have no desire to live have a very slight chance of recovery. We can continue to extend to them our love, sympathy, and prayers but ultimately we must respect a person's decision to die.

In A Happy World

in a happy world we do not just speak about laughter
neither do we speak about flowers blooming when we speak about beauty
or we simply talk about our persons when we speak about truths
happiness and sorrows, ugliness and beauty, truths and lies,
you must have seen them how they all danced last night holding hands
and swaying and stomping their feet on the dancing halls of life
they are sisters, they are lovers, they are even parents and children

you must have learned how they go together like a woman with two faces.

Leaving Ugliness To Forget

Needed...
Is much more love.
Needed...
Is faith and hope.
With a touch one gives,
To hug!

And needed,
Is a bit more patience.
And not all that ugliness...
Pushed from anyone's lips.

Needed...
Are a few recipes.
Those kind that mixes joy...
With a rise to increase peace.

And what we need,
Is an empathy believed.
We are together here...
And not bits of eaten cheese.

Needed...
Is much more love.

Needed...
Is faith and hope.
With a touch one gives,
With lots of hugs!

And needed,
Is a bit more patience.
And not all that ugliness...
Just to push,
From anyone's lips.

We don't need that ugliness,
Just to push,
From anyone's lips.

No no no no!
We don't need that ugliness...
Just to push,
From anyone's lips.

Oh no oh no no...
We don't need that ugliness.
An ugliness like this,
To forget!

Oh no oh no no...
We don't need that ugliness.
An ugliness like this...
Pushed from anyone's lips!

We can have more happiness...
Leaving ugliness to forget.

Yes,
We can have more happiness...
If we left ugliness to forget!

If we left ugliness to forget!

Leaving ugliness...
To forget.
There's no benefit at all in it!

Leaving ugliness...
To forget.
There's no benefit at all in it!

Leaving ugliness...
To forget.
There's no benefit at all in it!

Leaving ugliness...
To forget!

Everybody needs to convince...
All the people!
There's no benefit at all in it!

Everybody needs to convince...
All the people!
There's no benefit at all in it!

We need to leave an ugliness...
To forget!

We need to repent and not re-invent...
An ugliness.
There's no benefit at all in it!

The Best Wealth A Person Should Possess

Even ordinary persons, with no respect
and manners, may have money and wealth
which may not be standard and eternal;

The best wealth,
among the all types of wealth,
a person should possess... is nothing but
a kind heart, grace and mercy to others.(ThirukkuRaL 241)
