Dismissal is cruel

To dismiss one from service,
It is a mere stroke of pen.
For the victim it is a stroke of heart.
Dear, dismiss me not from your heart.

Our Meeting Is No Accident

Please do not dismiss me.
Or the approach,
I have chosen to get closer.
I am not professional at this.
But I could not simply sit...
And watch what I could not resist,
Up and go away!
Not if I can delay its parting.

Please do not dismiss me.
There is something about us,
Too familiar to ignore.
Your eyes and walk...
And patterns of speech.
When I hear you talk...
It feels as if I have known this before.

And when you speak,
It soothes.
With a calmness that attracts!
Please do not dismiss me.
My wishes for someone like you...
Recognizes what you have,
And I'm wanting more of that!
To achieve a happiness...
I know that would make us,
Joyfully glad!

Please do not dismiss me.
At least...
Let us spend a moment,
To allow you to discover me.
We belong together!
'Why' and 'how' that is,
Who knows?
But our meeting is no accident.
And I know that for a fact,
Indeed.
This has happened purposely.

Please do not dismiss me.
Look into my eyes.
Can't you feel something inside of you...
That announces a 'connection' between us,
Has come to stay and has finally arrived?

Stroke One

Head throbbing
Heart pumping
Neck stiffens hard
Cannot move forward
Vision now doubles
Hearing inaudible
Everything's white
Something wrong with sight
What can be done
When it's Stroke One...
Beep beep the monitor
Out goes the doctor
'She will survive'
(I'm still alive!)
Bless this good child
The stroke was mild
Of symptoms, none
Sneaky Stroke One
So if I misspell
It's my eyes, they aren't well.
(How are the two of you?)

What They Wish Others To Believe

No one can dismiss truth.
Although the realness of it...
Is often diminished.
By those unaccustomed,
To face and confront reality.
Without a masking done that fits,
And publicly seen as an accepted image.
No one can dismiss truth.
Or accuse someone else,
Of producing to create a fakeness they live...
To hide behind what they wish others to believe.

Do This

Close your eyes.
In preparation to dismiss,
Limitation.

Release conflicts to lift.
And shift those burdens,
From weighted shoulders.

Transmit your wishes,
To realize dreams...
From bastions kept as impossibilities.

Know you exist as a gift given,
And only you prevent...
All that you are and can be!

Close your eyes.
In preparation to dismiss,
Limitation.

Do this!
And not what you believe,
Can not be done to welcome...
As others entrap perceive.

Do this!
And not what you believe,
Can not be done to welcome...
As others entrap perceive.

Close your eyes.
In preparation to dismiss,
Limitation.

Do this!

Stroke Of Death

Do not fear the stroke of death.
Because afterwards, that’s it, there’s nothing.
You will be gone so quickly,
You wont even know what happened.
So don’t fear the inevitable stroke of death,
It will happen to all of us.
We have to understand it, acknowledge it,
But never fear it.
Never fear the stroke of death,
You will go mad just thinking about it.

A Letter to Hilary

Oh Hilary, dear Hilary;
you must not think ill of me,
though this letter be tardy,
it is mercifully short.
Oh Hilary, dear Hilary;
no metaphor or simile,
can express in mere words,
my true feelings and thoughts!

Oh Hilary, dear Hilary;
this I say, verily,
the distance between us
must not temper my view.
If I might speak of Hilary,
and of nothing ancillary:
as every day passes
I'm thinking of you!

For my love, my dear Hilary,
pumps through vein and capillary,
as my heart thumps out
it's horrible beat.
For love, my dear Hilary,
is the liqueur and distillery,
mellow, mature;
an intoxicant neat!

But if you, my dear Hilary,
would condemn me, and pillory,
a dissembler of words
and execrable verse;
then I, my dear Hilary,
would submit to your devilry,
and bravely bare up
under your terrible curse.

For love comes, my dear Hilary,
like the drum of artillery,
though it too can be vanquished
in bloody defeat.
Love comes, my dear Hilary,
not as the White Knight of chivalry,
but as a war of emotions,
both bitter and sweet.

But if, my dear Hilary,
I speak a tad too familiarly,
then you have my permission
to tear up this page.
For it is your choice, my dear Hilary,
to dismiss this as villainy,
or the ramblings of a mind
grown feeble with age!

For you, my dear Hilary,
should be paid a large salary,
to compensate truly,
for reading this tripe.
For alas, my dear Hilary,
I can only tender apology,
the worthless coin and the currency,
for this twaddle and hype!

Endlessly

To me...
You are everything.
To me...
You're my Summer,
And my Spring.
To me...
You're warm when shoulders cold.
To me...
You bring fresh air,
I hold!
And to me...
You spark a flame that inspires.
To me...
You set fire to my desires.
And to me,
I would not feel this free...
To be this fascinated,
Endlessly!
To me...
You are everything.
To me...
You're my Summer,
And my Spring.
To me...
You're warm when shoulders cold.
As Fall turns into snow drifts in the Winter...
Knowing I grow old.
To me...
You're my Summer,
And my Spring.
And never will I dismiss that,
Feeling this...
You're with me,
Endlessly!
And never will I dismiss that,
Feeling this...
You're with me,
Endlessly!
You're with me,
Endlessly!
And never will I dismiss that,
Feeling this...
You're with me,
Endlessly!
You are with me,
Endlessly!

Not Your Enabler

I am not existing,
In pretense...
Your insecurities,
I will dismiss.

Nor will I come to understand,
With an acceptance to defend...
At my expense,
It is okay when you display...
Your way of living your life,
Does not get in my way!

I am not existing,
In pretense...
Your insecurities,
I will dismiss.

I am your friend!
Not your enabler to use and offend!

A Mere Infidel

Life must be lonely for a mere infidel
One who does not believe in a heaven or a hell
On a god or a satan he does not believe
Yet he laugh and he smile and for lost love he grieve.

The religious zealots dismiss him as bad
Their thinking all wrong for them one must feel sad
The god that they worship and kneel to and pray
Has to be far more understanding than they.

Not part of a church group but at the local bar
He belts out a song as he strums on his guitar
With dark brown shoulder length hair and a dark brown beard
He does not look at all as one to be feared.

Some religious zealots dismiss him offhand
The true meaning of humanity they do not understand
He minds his own business and he does his own thing
And at the local he plays his guitar as he sing.

For My Maker

Salty as fire and bland as ice
I stroke my hand on the wood
This wood talks to me with narrow heart.

Homeless tables spring to the exit
After my hands and feet are gone
From me

Obedient limbs stroke the glass
Of the window, of this grateful object
Inside is home and house for all.

I am high for my body immensely forgets
Its chance to stay alive
For I am obeying my Maker.

Marching Beyond

I passionately walk as a soldier, the marching is swearing,
And I stride too hard, I stroke the pillar that is abusing.

My bridge collapses after a few bombs of calamity,
Abnormal strikes harness the activity of my abnormality.

Absent generals work miracles, as they stroke their cats,
Leading us in misery, with every strategy, with their chats.

Finally, the war ends too late, this war is always roaming,
It saddens my heart within the boundaries that keep adding.

Unable To Suppress

Unable to suppress
my dreams while she'd undress,
nor easily dismiss
the memory of her kiss,
forget
her wet,
wild passionate embrace,
when I recall her face,
I put them in a poem
so other men may know them.

The lines 'nor easily dismiss/ the memory of her kiss, ' are Ira Gershwin's words to music of George.

Watching Her Sleep

1-The Furrowed Brow

Sleep lies upon her face
of yesterday's worries
there remains a trace

A furrowed brow
surely out of place
disturbs the beauty
of her sleeping face

2-A Nightmare?

Would that one small kiss
fall into sleep's abyss
to save a dream amiss
or of your fears dismiss

3-Coup De Maitre (A stroke of a master)

You may a portrait be
God stroked His brush on thee
thy brow a subtlety
His art is Love to me

4-The Smile

From shadowed sleep,
a soft light leaps

5-Her baby

Thy loving heart n'er sleeps
A Mothers worry, forever keeps

6-Sunrise in Her Face

A mornings sun does place
about thy sleeping face
a wreath of flowers bright
to bid the moon goodnight

(Choices Poem) Circumstances Unending

If you had to choose what would you do
Circumstances unending
A victim of life
A victim of death
A victim of compromises
A heart in pain either way.
To make your world a little more okay

To let the one you love go for the better
Or the happiness of poverty in suffering
Like a mother choosing for a child
you must make the decision out of true love.
Forever the greater good.
The eagle looks upon us all with his eyes.
Only if I could see it that way.

If you had to choose what would you do
Circumstances unending
A victim of life
A victim of death
A victim of compromises
A heart in pain either way.
To make your world a little more okay

When you do such a thing their is no going back
Chasing after something you threw away.
All in a attempt to be the better man.
The homeless playing a game of kick the can.
Nobody ever wins.
It is to pass time as it will always do.

If you had to choose what would you do
Circumstances unending
A victim of life
A victim of death
A victim of compromises
A heart in pain either way.
To make your world a little more okay

Regret and bitter
Feelings that will never sit well with you
Your determined to overcome, and it not be prolonged
She is gone.
Forever a bad choice.
That you wouldn't want to change.

If you had to choose what would you do
Circumstances unending
A victim of life
A victim of death
A victim of compromises
A heart in pain either way.
To make your world a little more okay

The portrait of your face betrays the feeling inside.
The things you try to bury and hide.
At one time you were happy.
At one time you smiling and so full of spirit.
But now you fall into a very empty depression.

If you had to choose what would you do
Circumstances unending
A victim of life
A victim of death
A victim of compromises
A heart in pain either way.
To make your world a little more okay

No one will come and pick you up.
If you fall it will be you last one.
Like a soldier you still march as if you were still on call.
Duty and service is all you've ever known.
And now a world sits before you.
And still your all alone.

If you had to choose what would you do
Circumstances unending
A victim of life
A victim of death
A victim of compromises
A heart in pain either way.
To make your world a little more okay

I know what love is!

I know what seeing is!
As I saw you that day for the first time
So I know what liking is!

I know what striking is!
As I stroke stone against stone
So I know what the spark is!

I know what rubbing is!
As I rubbed heart against heart
So I know what love is!

I know what caring is!
As I had been used to it since we met
So I know what soft touch is!

I know what fire is!
As I had been burning along with you
So I know what nectar is!

I know what compassion is!
As I have experienced it with you
So I know what affection is!

I know what addiction is!
As I have been addicted to the smell of you
So I know what obsession is!

I know what memory is!
As I have experienced the break up
So I know what the hurt is!

I know what mistake is!
As I have been the victim of misjudgement
So I know what reconciliation is!

I know what longing is!
As I have suffered from emptiness
So I know what she is!

I know what losing is!
As I have lost in the rough wind
So I know what I miss!

The Bloke Is Broke

The bloke is broke
Takes a coke and lots of smoke
Stroke a joke and leaves the yoke
Spoke and poke and went back folk
Remembering baroque
With a golf stroke
Scrubs an oak with
Another sick joke
Woke and evoke
And even provoke
A gun smoke
Goes amok
With a butterfly stroke
Wild with a James Knox
Towards valley oak
spoke a practical joke
Ending with a choke
that broken bloke

When You're Making Up

When you're making up,
Make it good.
Make it to erase.
All things misunderstood.

When you're making up,
Let go and let be,
Don't redo those little details...
Of disharmony.

Dismiss and let it show,
That forgiveness is the key.
Dismiss and let it show,
To forget is to succeed.

When you're making up,
Dismiss to distance what has been.
When you're making up,
Recharge with a redoing to begin again.
When you're making up,
Promise and mean it to let the past end.
When you're making up...
Don't re-ignite details,
To hang on or bring up in argument to mention.

When you're making up,
Make it good.
Make it to erase.
All things misunderstood.

When you're making up,
Let go and let be,
Don't redo those little details...
To retrace with a ceasing of disharmony.
