A Mere Infidel

Life must be lonely for a mere infidel
One who does not believe in a heaven or a hell
On a god or a satan he does not believe
Yet he laugh and he smile and for lost love he grieve.

The religious zealots dismiss him as bad
Their thinking all wrong for them one must feel sad
The god that they worship and kneel to and pray
Has to be far more understanding than they.

Not part of a church group but at the local bar
He belts out a song as he strums on his guitar
With dark brown shoulder length hair and a dark brown beard
He does not look at all as one to be feared.

Some religious zealots dismiss him offhand
The true meaning of humanity they do not understand
He minds his own business and he does his own thing
And at the local he plays his guitar as he sing.

Busker Joe

He busks at the street corner every day
For an hour at least his guitar he does play
A musician song writer and a man of song
As he does play he always sings along.

On the sidewalk by him an open money tin
And those who choose to do so dropp a coin or two in
The sidewalk diners he does entertain
Though for his great talents little is his financial gain.

With brown beard and long brown hair he looks thirty years or so
The fellow that the locals refer to as Busker Joe
One of the friendliest people in the old seaside town
He smiles and nods in greeting as he does sing to people passing up and down.

Every day at the street corner he sings and plays guitar
Just to earn ten to twenty dollars for a few drinks at the public bar
A character in his own right though without wealth and fame
The town's best known entertainer Busker Joe is his nickname.

A Lyric to My Son and His Guitar

A Lyric To My Son and His Guitar

strum...
Strum the strings of your brown guitar;
Brings me to the music star lively as you are.

Far in the awful nights in an hour of silence
Plays me a song with ease and delight.

Plays no more a sad song,
Let the people hear only a refrain;
Of the imperial tune.

Strum...
Strum the strings of your brown guitar
Brings the world to the music star lively as you are...

Nothing Fails

I'm in love with you
You silly thing
Anyone can see
What is it with you
You silly thing
Just take it from me
It was not a chance meeting
Feel my heart beating
You're the One
You could take all this
Take it away
And I'd still have it all
Cause I've found the Tree of Life
And that is why
No longer scared if I fall
When I get lost in space
I can return to this place
Cause you're the one
(Chorus)
Nothing Fails
No more fears
Nothing Fails
You washed away my tears
Nothing Fails
No more fears
Nothing Fails
Nothing Fails
I'm not religious
But I feel so moved
Makes me wanna pray
Pray you'll always be here
I'm not religious
But I feel such love
Makes me wanna pray
When I get lost in space
I can return to this place
Cause you're the one
I'm not religious
But I feel so moved
Mmmm
I'm not religious
Makes me wanna pray
I'm not religious
But I feel so moved
Makes me wanna pray
Pray you'll always be here
I'm not religious
But I feel such love
Makes me wanna pray
(Repeat Chorus 2 x's)

The Praises Of Their God

The praises of their God so many love to sing
But God 'twould seem to me is a symbolic thing
That the God fearing turn to for to cleanse them of sin
The people who dismiss the existence of any God within
Their God is way up there in the Kingdom in the sky
Where birds sing all year round and where winged angels fly
Above the Heaven hills their songs of praise to God they sing
Their God rules in the World of the eternal Spring
They believe in a different God to us the people who live next door
Their beliefs different to ours so them we will ignore
To the religion of the true God we surely do belong
And all of other faiths have surely got it wrong
The one who believes in the God within to them an infidel
One who is surely destined for an afterlife of hell.

Some Children See Him

Some children see him
Some children see him lily white,
The baby jesus born this night,
Some children see him lily white,
With tresses soft and fair.
Some children see him bronzed and brown,
The lord of heavn to earth come down;
Some children see him bronzed and brown,
With dark and heavy hair.
Some children see him almond-eyed,
This savior whom we kneel beside,
Some children see him almond-eyed,
With skin of yellow hue.
Some children see him dark as they,
Sweet marys son to whom we pray,
Some children see him dark as they,
And, ah! they love him, too!
The children in each diffrent place
Will see the baby jesus face
Like theirs, but bright with heavnly grace,
And filled with holy light.
O lay aside each earthly thing,
And with thy heart as offering,
Come worship now the infant king.
tis love thats born tonight!

Never Let You Down

Written by donny brown
Im trying to keep my feet on the ground
Im getting to like this feeling Ive found
Im getting to love the thought of
Having you around and
I will never let you down
Your friends were all well-meaning
When they said no one is good enough for you
But if they play with your emotions
Dismiss the notion
And do what you have to do
Cause people dont take chances with their hearts
Since Ive met you I am past the hardest part
So remember one thing
I will never let you down
Im trying to keep...
Sometimes you feel defeated
But its ok...
Youre not the only one
And all the complications,
The bad situations - happen to everyone
It doesnt matter how it ended or began
Sometimes the best that you can do is change your plans
I hope you understand that
I will never let you down
Im trying to keep...

Life is a song

Life is a song,
Sing it your Way,
Sing your heart out,
Sing it to God.

Life is a song,
When I play my guitar,
Let my guitar sings along the way,
My life is an angel when I live in eternity.

Life is a song,
Follow the rhythm,
Follow the heart beat,
Follow the time signature and instinct.

Life is a song,
When seasons come and go,
When we down and happy, ,
When we lonely and alone.

Life is a song,
Never bore with it,
Never let it passes by,
Instead compose it your way,
The way you love to sing your song.

This Guitar (Can't Keep From Crying)

(one, two, three, four)
Found myself out on a limb
But Im happier than Ive ever been
But this guitar cant keep from crying
Learned to get up when I fall
Can even climb rolling stone walls
But this guitar cant keep from crying
This here guitar can feel quite sad
Can be high strung, sometimes get mad
Cant understand or deal with hate
Responds much better to love
I though by now you knew the score
But you missed the point just like before
And this guitar cant keep from crying
(this) guitar, it cant keep from crying
This guitar cant keep from crying
This here guitar can feel quite sad
Can be high strung, sometimes get mad
It cant understand or deal with hate
Responds much better to love
While you attack, create offence
Ill put it down to your ignorance
But this guitar it cant keep from crying
This guitar cant keep from crying
This guitar cant keep from crying
This guitar cant keep from crying

Most Religious People

Most religious people believe their god is the only god though their god they never see
If this be so there are many gods it would seem to me
Each religious grouping claims god as their own
With religion the numbers of unseen gods has grown.

And though to every religious grouping respect one ought to pay
I do not have a god to believe in or to which I could pray
We all look at life in a different sort of a way
And to each their own as some are known to say.

I respect them for their beliefs the respect everyone's due
And for as long as to the higher self one remains true
And to help those in need of help go out of one's way
The god you believe in does seem quite okay.

But you can have it from me one who pens doggerel
A non believer to some and to many an infidel
That the god you believe in you do not represent
If your anger on others you are known to vent.

Damn Dark Brown Eyes

Let me start with one corner
The other corner is wide
In between there’s whole world
The truth, the lies and the skies

The mountains high and blue sky
I can see it all through the reflection of light
The beauties of it describes
What’s the world with a smile that’s so bright

Oh! Your damn dark brown eyes
Tells the story of your innocence with no surprise
The whole world is beautiful if I look through those eyes
You have lovely damn dark brown eyes

The darkest small round thing in between your eyes
Rotates around as you don’t keep watching tight
Then those dark brown things which covers your eyes
Feels like a ocean with a deep divine

Whenever I stare at your damn dark brown eyes
I feel to get more and more inside
The ocean looks so deep and waves so strong
And all those pixels describes that you have something inside

Oh! Your damn dark brown eyes
Makes me feel to swim inside
Yes, I am floating in my imagination
How would be the ocean inside your eyes

When you smile, I can feel it from your eyes
It tells everything that I desire to find
It makes you lovely as lovely as you are always with a smile
Cause you’ve got that damn dark brown eyes.

The Ballad Of Go-go Brown

If thats why they call him go-go brown
Hed say (? )
If thats why some people put him down
Hed say it costs his name as go-go brown
All the girls in town
Used to follow him around
Go-go brown
Go-go brown
All the boys would sing
Were gonna make this go-go king
Go-go brown
Go-go brown
Go-go brown is the smartest guy by far
A brand new girlfriend and a brand new car
The girls all thought that he was heaven-sent
one day this boy will be a president
All the church bells ring
When that go-go used to sing
Go-go brown
Go-go brown
Here the people say
hes gonna be someone someday
Go-go brown
Go-go brown
Then one day some bad men came to call
And go-go knew its time to take a fall
Hes been smoking since the age of ten
He took some crack, he sold some smack
And now hes in the pen
All the girls in town
Used to follow him around
Go-go brown
Go-go brown
All the boys would sing
Were gonna make this go-go king
Go-go brown
Go-go brown
He raised them all
Yes he do
He faced the wall
Yes he did
He stood tall
Yes he do
Who did he let down
Just one man thats go-go brown (? )
All the church bells ring
When that go-go used to sing
Go-go brown
Go-go brown
Here the people say
hes gonna be someone someday
Go-go brown
Go-go brown
All the girls in town
Used to follow him around
Go-go brown
Go-go brown
All the boys would sing
Were gonna make that go-go king
Go-go brown
Go-go brown
All the girls in town
Used to follow him around
Go-go brown
Go-go brown

Souls In Need of Biblical Truth

There are souls that are totally lost, totally adrift in religious sauce,
A religious soup, created by men, in which The Lord will condemn;
There’re those totally deceived, as The Truth they haven’t received,
Never embracing Truths of Christ, they have no hope of eternal life.

Others want nothing to do, with the One embraced by me and you,
Many truly have no want or desire, for our God, Who reigns higher;
There are men who’ve never heard, the many Truths in God’s Word,
The Eternal Truths in God’s Revelation, that brings one to salvation.

With God’s Purpose and Vision, we must reach men lost in religion,
Through the Truth from His Throne, they must come to Christ alone;
To those deceived by the enemy, The Truth we must help them see,
For in Scripture we are reminded, by Satan they have been blinded.

To all who dismiss God in every way, to God above, we must pray,
That His Holy Spirit, He imparts, to soften up the many hard hearts;
For all who never heard the Gospel, our Commission we must fulfill,
By reaching out into every nation, with the Good News of Salvation.

For all the souls presently lost, we must show the way to The Cross,
To all those deceived in this world, God’s Salvation we must herald,
For souls who want no part of Christ, we need to live a changed life,
Also for those who know not Truth, to be for Christ, His living proof.

Me And My Guitar

Me and my guitar
Always in the same mood
I am mostly flesh and bones
And he is mostly wood
Never does grow impatient
For the changes I don't know, no
If he can't go to heaven
Maybe, I don't want to go, Lord
Picture me in the key of E
Call me Uncle John
Any fool can easily see
That we go back a long time
Feel something like fine to me
There's no such thing as the wrong time
He hops up on my knee
Singing, get down pops
It's song time
Every now and then I'm a lonely man
It's nice to know that I've got a friend
Puts his power right in my hand
All l've got to do is the best I can
If I can
Got a dog named David
Got a bird named Dinah
Got a birthmark on my thigh
In the shape of Mainland China
Got a somewhat southern accent
'Cause I come from Carolina
And if you want to find us
We'll be walking right behind you
I hear horns
I hear voices
I hear strings
Seems I was born
With too many choices
Now what am I going to do
With all these extra things
As they serve to confuse me, really
It's me and my guitar
Essentially me and my guitar
Oh maybe a few friends fall by for tea
A little bit of who do you love
But pay no attention
To the man behind the curtain
It's me and my guitar
Having fun, boogie, woogie, uh-huh
Me and my guitar

Birds Who Sing The Same Song

Once upon the hunter's lifetime
He entered the forest with his hound
As he waited for animal senses,
He heard the same sound

The sound came from above
It was the sound of birds
Though they were very different,
They had similar words

The birds were of two colors
They were either brown or green
They sang on top of their voices
The song of a queen

First, the hunter watched them sing
He did not understand the words
He set a trap on the tree
And caught some green birds

He brought them home
Thinking he has caught something good
After preparing the meal,
He realizes their meat is not right for food

Again, he watched them sing
He did not understand the words
He set a trap on the tree
And caught brown birds

He brought them home
Thinking the browns would not taste the same
After preparing the meal,
He realizes the meat was worse in the bowl of shame

He now understood the words
And watches them as they sing
The same song, one meaning
A song to get trapped in a ring

The birds sing the same song
A song of the soul
They sing in a competition
They compete for a common goal

They look attractive on the tree
They sing the same song

Understanding their words is the key
They sing the same song

They sound very kind
They sing the same song

They have a motive in mind
They sing the same song

They sing and fly from the leaves to the stem
But the hunter desires none of them

The hunter would now find other creatures
With the best of all features
Because the birds sing the same song

The love For a Nephew

(His smile wide his teeth shining
as he stood with the bright guitar in his hand.)

As he lays in the casket some month later
all fancy and nice, he looks up to the stained glass windows

(The guitar so nice so strong
with its all mesmerizing sound)

the tears from the family friends and children
fall to the ground without a sound

(he looks into his uncles eyes
with joy with pride in his guitar)

the minister stands and reads the script
and he bows his head to the uncle who shall play

(He takes his pick from the case,
and strums the guritar with such grace)

the man with the guitar stands infront,
on stage ready to sing

(As he sits with his uncle
their guitars both in tune)

the man begins to play the song
that was once his nephews dream

(They sit and laugh at faults at trys
as their guitars play side by side)

pick in hand he strums the tune
and looks to the casket tears filling his eyes

(Their laughter filled the room with joy with love,
as the music came together like it was meant to be.)

half way through the tune becomes that afternoon a month ago.
the one with joy and laughter, the one with love.

(As the music slows and is perfected
they set down their guitars and embrace eachother)

The song comes to an end as the church fills with sobs,
with tears of sorrow of longing of loss

(They seperate and look at eachother with joy with faith,
as they sit down face to face)

He stands over his nephews coffin and whispers these soft words: 'I love you so, I love you true and this music will always belong to you'

~this is dedicated to Nightserf(from yahoo answers) whos nephew died of muscular dystrophy about 35 years ago, he wrote a peice of music with his nephew a month before his nephews death, and he played it in the middle of his nephews funeral. I do not know the personally so please don't tell me sorry~

Ain't Gonna Grieve

by Bob Dylan
Well, I ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
And ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Come on brother, join the band,
Come on sisters, clap your hands,
Tell everybody that's in the land,
You ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Well, I ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
And ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Brown and blue and white and black,
All one color on the one-way track,
We got this far and ain't a-goin' back
And ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Well, I ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
I ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
We're gonna notify your next of kin,
You're gonna raise the roof until the house falls in.
If you get knocked down get up again,
We ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Well, I ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
I ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
We'll sing this song all night long,
Sing it to my baby from midnight on.
She'll sing it to you when I'm dead and gone,
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more.
Well, I ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
Ain't a-gonna grieve no more, no more
I ain't a-gonna grieve no more

Learning To Live Alone And Be Happy

in my little Bisayan town
the guitar strings are loose
and the sound
becomes musically challenged

i will be having a hard time
with my lyrics
and choice of pitch
because of this faulty guitar
and this
hardheaded guitarman

one day i decided to sing alone
less the guitar
and the guitarist
and then i learned to live
and sing
without so much fuss
without
any need for a guitar
or any accompaniment

surprisingly
i can sing alone and yet
still be in tune
without things
without so many people

yes, it is this solitude
and the rest becomes mere surplusage
