Attachment- an inner look
No one is in detachment.
Nor is one in attachment.
Constant is attachment.
Changing is attaché.
One is abandoned
As another one is cordoned.

Attachment is the rule
The desired leave one after the other
But the desiring stays put.
The attaché changes, attachment stays.
To detach from world is to attach to the God.
If detachment brings peace
No one can be in peace.

Misery is from detachment
It is not that much inconvenient
For me to detach myself from
Men and materials.
Often I do it to escape, to evade,
To slip and to pass up.
No attachment to others
Like detachment from others
Brings on me all the relief.

Escapism
I agree with you that attachment brings misery.
Is not it that attachment brings joy too?
If you say the absence of pain is pleasure
Can I say the pain is well discounted by the pleasure?
Rational and instinctual
minds conflict with each other.

Attachment to spiritual things is... just as much an attachment as inordinate love of anything else.

He who is overly attached to his family members experiences fear and sorrow, for the root of all grief is attachment. Thus one should discard attachment to be happy.
In attachment
In a happening, some are happy,
Some are sad and some, indifferent.
Attachments bring happiness and suffering.
Detachments deny sorrow and joy too.
Without attachment, mercy is not born.
Without attachment, purpose is not born.
Without involvement, interest is not born.
Without interest, no action takes place.
Attached, success bathes the ego.
Attached, failure soils the ego.
Attachment is still good if you hope
For the best and be for the worst

Giving Up All Attachment To Love
'Giving up all attachment to love.'
That doesn't make sense.
'Why...
You don't like it? '
It's a bit absurd to me.
When love makes the world go round.
'What are you talking about? '
You just said...
Giving up all attachment to love.
'Oh...
That has nothing to do with you.
I was just thinking of a title for a poem I am writing.'
I thought you and I were having a conversation?
'We are.
I'm just waiting for you to say something interesting.
And when you do...
I will participate.'
Why do I keep believing,
To me you will ever be a friend?
'I love it.
Thank you.
Listen to this...
Giving up all attachment to love.
Why do I keep believing,
To me you will ever be a friend...
Go on.'
I don't even know why I am here.
You are sick.
You know that?
'Where are you getting this from?
I love it.
Listen...
Giving up all attachment to love.
Why do I keep believing,
To me you will ever be a friend...
You are sick.
You know that? '
You really are.
'Stop it.
Is this your own stuff?
You should be a writer.
I am stealing this.
I don't care what you say.
It is magnificent.'
I'm leaving.
'Why? '
We were suppose to go out to dinner.
'Why didn't you remind me?
You think I'm suppose to remember everything? '

Only For Attachment
Only for attachment
I have seen woman
Not as Mother
Not as creator
And could not find
Her place in the world
And could not see the world
Properly in proper form
Only for attachment.

Love is an attachment to another self. Humor is a form of self-detachment -- a way of looking at one's existence, one's misfortune, or one's discomfort. If you really love, if you really know how to laugh, the result is the same you forget yourself.

Enlightenment
Chop that wood
Carry water
Whats the sound of one hand clapping
Enlightenment, dont know what it is
Every second, every minute
It keeps changing to something different
Enlightenment, dont know what it is
Enlightenment, dont know what it is
It says its non attachment
Non attachment. non attachment
Im in the here and now, and Im meditating
And still Im suffering but thats my problem
Enlightenment, dont know what it is
Wake up
Enlightenment says the world is nothing
Nothing but a dream, everythings an illusion
And nothing is real
Good or bad baby
You can change it anyway you want
You can rearrange it
Enlightenment, dont know what it is
Chop that wood
And carry water
Whats the sound of one hand clapping
Enlightenment, dont know what it is
All around baby. you can see
Youre making your own reality. everyday because
Enlightenment, dont know what it is
One more time
Enlightenment. dont know what it is
Its up to you
Enlightenment. dont know what it is
Its up to you everyday
Enlightenment, dont know what it is
Its always up to you
Enlightenment, dont know what it is
Its up to you, the way you think

Non-Violence Great Virtue
Non-violence is
Great virtue
Non-violence
Born out of
Non-attachment.
Passion, anger
And greed are
Triple gates
To hell
these are born out
of Attachment.

Safe Within The Arms Of Fear
Safe within the arms of fear,
Some feel.
Some feel an attachment,
To that which attracts...
And clamps them into a doing,
That addicts.
Safe within the arms of fear,
Some feel.
Some feel an attachment,
To that which attracts...
And clamps them into a doing,
That addicts.
What would they do,
If released from their cells...
With a barring done,
That has scarred them for life.
What other devices would inhibit and restrain?
And who will invent a suitable oppressiveness to present?
Safe within the arms of fear,
Some feel.
Some feel an attachment,
To that which attracts...
And clamps them into a doing,
That addicts.
Frightened they are,
To be freed from their boundaries...
With nothing there but peace to threaten them,
Without conflict to resist and commit total devotion.

Not Only a Practice But a Fact
My attachment to God
Is not only a practice but a fact.
God and I have been very close...
I do not question my faith.
Nor do I seldom stay in heartbreak.
Not these days and not for long.
Not as long as I know,
My faith in God...
Keeps me strong.
My attachment to God,
Is not only a practice but a fact.
I don't have to be self righteous!
God knows my habits.
I can not hide them behind God's back.
There is no sense in that!
Whatever this is where I am,
That gives me a consciousness to understand.
I only have to be myself.
And the more I accept it,
The taller of a man I stand!

A 'no' to attachment
Knee deep involvement with attachment
What to gain at the end?
Material happiness or hollowness?
Where it can lead to?
To gallows
To uncertainty
To dawn fall
To low ebb
No complete detachment but as necessity
Not for complete need but as utility
Will lead to peace
Harmony
Towards goal
Fulfillment
Eternity
Joy

Detachment
What is detachment? I am in dark to know.
She gets my flavour; She returns no favour.
She loves my presence and forgets my absence.
She gets my heat and emits not hers.
From her I understood about detachment.

The Solitary Soul
O Soul! Sow never any seeds of attachment
Reaping the fruits of dismay looms large
Restrict your desires for objects of no-life
For they can't deceit you with acts of detachment
Grow not your fantasies around the people you like
That makes you live for ever in a Fool's paradise
Sincere may be your expectations from the beloved
Contempt is the reward awarded for your concern
Cynical you are overwhelmed by emotions
Clinical are people in keeping you at bay
Fondness of your roaming through memory lanes
Earns you the name of eccentric for being non-realistic
Restrain the heart from craving for others!
Motives attributed for no fault of yours
Bid a farewell to your emotional bondage
To confront the coming times with wretches of solitude
This world you came with no mission specified
Nothing you achieved to boast of anything
Dumb you remained when darkness descended
Helpless you are as your dreams stand shattered
Eluded by Luck and ignored by all
Stung by failures and surrounded by hardships
Belated attempts with negated results
Prompting to choose a life of seclusion
No tears from others when your exit is forever
.
O Soul! Sow never any seeds of attachment

Measure the distance
Anyone in constant sight
escapes your thought.
Anyone out of sight
Also follows suit.
Never be too close, or too far
To capture one’s attention.

Why Look For The Key
And they made the secret pact
His knowledge would be tapped
The link was based on a respect
On their lives they would reflect
A perfect state of non-attachment
Was striven for and claimed as fact
The younger grew and learnt his lesson well
All his ideals were intact
Why look for the key in another
The answer lay in his own heart
Wont find yourself in some other
It always was there right at the start
But power it corrupted
Thats where attachment starts
The power had erupted
The spell will crack
As each mental bond was broken
Strength grew in the young mans heart
What began as love not passion
Had left a seed in his heart
Why look for the key in another ...

When Self Esteem Isn't Taught
Self destruction occurs,
From the inside out.
With a superficial attachment,
To live as felt and misunderstood.
When self esteem isn't taught...
And life is thought and compared,
To a ticket bought...
One begins this experience,
With serious mental issues.
And then when jealousy is inflicted,
Because of physical appearances...
There is no escaping from this mindset.
A plastic existence is all one accepts.
Self destruction occurs,
From the inside out.
With a superficial attachment,
To live as felt and misunderstood.
When self esteem isn't taught,
An existing ignorance that has existed is praised.

Living as single
Endowed with the flow of money,
Woman might think of living alone
With no need of a man's supports.
It looks fancy to live single.
Her preference for money comes
As unilaterally can
She deal with money
With no compromises called for.
In a company with a man,
Bilaterally she has to
Deal with him, cutting the freedom
That she is enjoying as single.
She can't dispense with men outdoor
In profession and relations.
To be living single indoor
And not outdoor is a duel act.
She gets a personality
That impacts her integrity,
And questions her capacity
To deal with men in a circuit.
Sans emotional attachment,
Physical attachment with men
Will leave a woman high and dry
When she has lost her stickiness.
