When Is The Right Time To Lower The Anchor?

sometimes he
asks
in the middle of his
sorrow
where is that soul mate
that must appease
longing

upon a cliff
one sees layers of
time's scars

upon cut timber lies
epochs
myriad circles
yet missing
that center of
the soul

that is the journey
of the boat
looking for its
right port

it longs for the right
time
to lower finally
its stable anchor
at the bottom
of the
ocean floor

the storms are here
but who shall
care?

Just Out Of Reach

He stands alone
Waiting since eternity
To catch a glimmer
Of the one he waits for
Since the beginning of time
He meets many thinking
She is the one
Only to find
It's not to be
He sighs with each heart break
Shakes his raven head
In sorrow thinking
Will they ever meet?

She has searched
Looking since eternity
For the one soul mate
That seams to be
Just out of reach
She gives herself to the ones
She thinks is indeed
Are her soul mates
Only to learn
It's not to be
She crumbles and cries
Thinking to herself
Will they ever meet?

Like ships in the night
They pass each other by
Not knowing who they are
They keep searching in vain
Each cycle that passes
They are just out of reach

He longs to see
Her face and feel her soul
That only she can
Stir the love that flows
Deep in his heart
Deep in his soul

She longs to touch
His face with a kiss
With the love
That flows in the ebb of time
Deep in her heart
Deep in her soul

Then just by chance
They meet briefly in time
He knows her voice
He knows her smile
She intern knows his heart
She knows his song
They flow with love
That's been denied so long
They feel each other presences
As they each enter a room

Blinded by what they feel
They know not what to do
They are with in reach
But the reality of the world
Has made it impossible
For them to express
How they feel

They both reach out to touch
Finger tip to finger tip
The time of destiny
Ebbs and flows
They have found their souls
Complete and whole

He ask her one simple question
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SEACHING
Her reply is simple
Since the beginning of time

She asks him one simple question
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WAITING
His reply is simple
Since the beginning of time

Finally they embrace
They are one
They are whole

Something is Missing

I went to the fun-fair
To have some fun
Had a lot to see
Then went shopping
Bought some goodies
With ‘him’ and ‘them’.

Came back home
With snacks and sweets
Served them all
And savoured it too
Had a nice evening stroll
In the park and streets.
I enjoyed every bit of it
With ‘him’ and ‘them’
And yet I think
And I did feel that
Something was missing…

So now I write
And I ponder too
What is it
That bothers me
And makes me miss
On all such occasions
When I go out and have fun
With ‘him’ and ‘them’.
It was just not today
But almost every day
On all such outings
And “at home” evenings
I do feel that
Something is missing.

And so I delved deeper in me
And thought of that something
Which never misses me
Nor needs me in its life.
Yes – I know it is a living being
And it is so far away
I cannot make it mine
And yet so close
I always feel it is mine.

That very Being so very far
And yet so close
It always makes me feel
Yes – Something is Missing.

So I kept probing further
Into my consciousness
To find the one thing that is there
Yet still “invisible” and just not there.
And I found that
Something is Missing
Is the one and only
Soul-mate I’ve searched all through…
And yet that mate’s soul never found me.

So I’ll keep feeling till the end of my life
That Something is Missing
Till his soul finds me
Or my soul merges into him.
And my search ends
To find us both
Soul-mates forever
For aeons till eternity…

This is just the Beginning
Of a lifetime search
Seeking its End.
And as they say:
It can take years and years
Of lives and births
Till its destination is reached.
For it is the journey of the soul
To seek its Friend.

It could be an endless wait
For many re-births
Of life and death.
And yet, it could be
Worth the Wait
In my soul’s search
For its Soul-Mate.

Time's dominion

Mountain,
silent warrior,
bearing time’s scars
in its noble crags.

Ocean,
mountain’s mirror,
refusing time’s ravage,
without form and void.

Mountain,
decayed, honest,
embracing time
with dignity.

Ocean,
time’s subconscious,
internalising
polluted memories.

Tide,
ocean’s heartbeat
on the shoreline,
outside of time.

Mountain,
living.

Ocean,
dying.

Its soul unfurling
to time’s dominion.

The Boat and The Sea

I will tell you, my Dear
Story of the Boat and the Sea

'Since the unknown time
The Boat heard the call from the Sea
Wings of Gull, blue waves
Took Boat traveled everywhere, all ways

The Boat's soul's filled with hopes
And the Sea's boundless love
Boat went far, further no tiresome
The Sea was still far...so far

Those nights the moon was gentle
The sea was like a girl, who's little
She whispered, she sent her thoughts
Round the boatside, waves elapsed

Sometimes, causeless
The Sea, its waves, pourred impetuously in the Boat
(Because of Love, for all times, ever was just imovable?)

Only the Boat understood
How boundless the Sea was
Only the Boat knew
Where the Boat went to, back to

The days without meeting
The sea was with white head, with missing
The days without gathering
The Boat was broken - crack
If already seperated from the Boat
The Sea only remained the wind and waves
...up and down, a craze'

If having to be separated from you
I just only remain storms

Why This Poem Is Born

this is my only chance
to be alone and be myself
again in the middle of this
crowd, where all voices
speak, and no one is heard

this is the voice inside the
bottom of my heart
beneath the layers of my
thoughts

in the forest
there lies this niche
where i can be so
at home and so silent

this is the craving of
the restless soul trying
to find a place to be
in the peace and quiet
of its solitude

for Cita A.

perhaps you are a boat without an anchor.
we need anchors
because we are like boats
sailing in an ocean
sometimes the storms are bigger
and our sails are too small for the winds
and our rudders
are broken,

what i see is that you do not have any
and so i feel pity for you Cita
as you imagine walkie-talkies beside your ears
and talk about the machine of destruction
that is boring in your head like
grills,

that machine that bores holes in your skull
and yet everyone hears nothing
sees no blood

they cannot see what you insists
those that stole your locks and open your doors
and stole your furniture and computers
and spurn you

what education you have in the university
now you throw away
like a cheap earring

Cita, this poem asks you
see God.

Leave me be

Sorrow, sorrow why must you take me so
Why have you left me in such a big hole
Sorrow, sorrow when will you leave my soul
And let me finally breath so
There is nowhere to go
If you keep beating on my heart so
Sorrow, sorrow its your time to go
Let your heart leave from my soul

Journey Of The Soul.................

journey.............
this is the journey..........
that i have to waded...........
to through rise and fall my life...........
accompanied by silences and loneliness
to sing a longing song...........
longing to beloved.............
to heard homesickness melody...........
to wrote my life's story..............

the physical journey
that I've traverse
is the journey of soul.............
what a big scenery...............
as far as my journey..........
as lots as my experiences.........

I've moved on...........
from the teenage world........
to the matured way.............
this journey had taught me.........
and introduced me
to the way of life..........
to the life's meanings..............

I don't want to wasted it...........
because...........we afford to live once
and can't turn back to the past..........
otherwise to spin backwards the time..........

Where's Daddy?

A small child cries out in the night,
As she longs for a Father who can not be there;
If she wishes long and hard enough, he might
Just show up one day, so that they may share
In one another's lives once again-
Allowing time's healing to finally begin!

'Where's Daddy? ' she asks, seemingly out of nowhere;
Her Mother cannot provide a proper answer-
She pretends all the while that she really does care,
Yet, her self-contempt has already spread, like a cancer!

The child has finally started to realize
That 'Mommy' is precisely what she was taught to despise:
She wears a mask, hiding her vicious lies;
The child ios left heart-broken-in a world of 'whys? '!

Life

Layers after layers
Sucked up all the elements of light

In the abyss
A crone lies in the dark, pitch
Mystery of all the mysteries

No mind over there ever reached
Mother of all curiosities

Lower of the lowest
Sad of the saddest wave

Brighter than the brightest
No heart over there ever reached

In the zenith
A beautiful fairy resides
Wonder and surprises

Higher than the highest
Joy and delight

I know both of them
Joy and sorrow

I am your life
I go through
Higher than the high and lower than the low.

The Ocean Of Choices

in the ocean of choices
ships sometimes collide
and you become one
of the fatalities
a part of yourself becomes
a passenger unaccounted

you become one of the fishes
in one of the myriad corals
you become part of the
one of the sands of
the ocean floor

in the ocean of choices
you are one of the yachts
racing for a prize
against the storms
and betrayals

then you never become a bridge
you are always one of the islands
in the ocean of choices
you try to swim and
then you drown
to become one of the
tiny stones.

Loneliness

Without permission loneliness visited
and settled in my heart,
So cruel to the heart it took over control,
It made me envy other souls with mates.
For mine hasen't one to care for;

I sleep with my heart awake,
I dream the dreams of sorrow,
I scream in the middle of the night.
And I wake but only to find myself without nobody,

Is my soul a kind of a soul without a mate?
No one to love and nobody to love me,
I watch and behold pairs of lovers strolling
My eyes drown in sympathy;
I cry in total silence.

I need some one to care for,
And to be cared for,
Someone I can call my own,
How long shall i keep on waiting?

Sweet Danger

The danger of war, with its havoc of life,
The danger of ocean, when storms are rife,
The danger of jungles, where wild beasts hide,
The danger that lies in the mountain slide---
Why, what are they but all mere child's play,
Or the idle sport of a summer day,
Beside those battles that stir and vex
The world forever, of sex with sex?

The warrior returns from the captured fort,
The mariner sails to a peaceful port;
The wild beast quails 'neath the strong man's eye,
The avalanche passes the traveller by---
But who can rescue from passion's pyre
The hearts that were offered to feed its fire?
Ah! he who emerges from that fierce flame
Is scarred with sorrow or blackened with shame.

Battle and billow, and beast of prey,
They only threaten the mortal clay;
The soul unfettered can take to wing,
But the danger of love is another thing.
Once under the tyrant Passion's control,
He crushes body, and heart, and soul.
An hour of rapture, an age of despair,
Ah! these are the trophies of love's warfare.

And yet forever, since time began,
Has man dared woman and woman lured man
To that sweet danger that lurks and lies
In the bloodless battle of eyes with eyes;
That reckless danger, as vast as sweet,
Whose bitter ending is joy's defeat.
Ah! thus forever, while time shall last,
On passion's altar must hearts be cast!

I Never Said This Was an Easy Love

Finding a soul-mate at the university,
We met at the Kierkegaard corner of the library,
Philosophical children in love with despair
With lonely eyes of drunken Kerouac.

Spring courtyard in the sun
Sitting with poetry,
Her magical metaphors
Entered my mind of longing.

I wanted us to grow old together,
To weather the storms of existence
And become fragile together.

But inevitably,
True forlorn beings
Of genuine sadness
Could never survive
Draining each other of joy.

So much lust of the soul,
Sexual desire of the mind
But it all subsides in time
To simple neurosis.

But it was love for awhile,
Maybe all that I’m capable of.

Bloodsoaked

Rot your soul to live.
Death Ive seen beyond.
Killing the darkest time.
Rotting out the chain.
Darkness falls unto.
Ready the golden child.
Pain evolves this way.
Killing the darkest time, time.
Darkest time. liar.
You lying in the bottom grave, soul.
Dying in the bottom, lie. lie.
Lying in the bottom to hide. to hide.

My Soul Is Connected With Yours

My soul seeking in the tumult of the world,
Looking for my spiritual soul mate, my everlasting love,
My silence lies in the harmony of your charisma,
My inspirational pursuits are within you.

My tender heart, my smiling eyes,
Are searching for you in everything and everywhere,
You are the rain and my catharsis,
I am the fire in your rain.

To give me strength and everlasting passion,
You turned my bitterness into love,
My sorrow and my pain into beauty,
My beauty smiles to you, my soul mate.

My whole life i have been seeking for you,
My laughing heart forgets all my sorrows, my pain,
When you are near, i live those throbbing moments with you,
My soul is connected with yours.

This Is A Boat

this is a boat and it is in my hand
the hand is the sea
and my fingers keep it wavy

this is the boat and it is wooden
and it is loaded unevenly on its left side
and so it leans on the heavy
edge like it is a man
with a shorter left foot
and walks like the
floor is uneven
and imperfect

this is my body and it has become an ocean
and the boat sails on without the sun
my eyes the moon and stars
and they are closed

this is the darkness where the boat sails
and this is the silence
of its journey

this is my mind
and everything: the boat, the sea, the ocean
the tilting, the weight of the load,

things exist because i let them so
this is my hand and this is the sea of waves
these emotions

this is the mouth speaking
without any sense at all like a woman nude
running for life away from the atomic bomb

Smack Dab In The Middle

(charles e. calhoun)

Well, (g) pick me a town in any clime
People like a rockin time
Stay awake both day and night
And everybodys feeling good and right
Then (g7) throw me
(c) smack dab in the middle
Smack dab in the middle
(d7) smack dab in the middle
Well, let me rock and roll to satisfy my (f) soul (g)
I want ten cadillacs and a diamond mill
Ten suits of clothes all dressed to kill
Ten room house and-a some barbecue
And-a fifty chicks none over twenty-two
Then throw me
Smack dab in the middle
Smack dab in the middle
Smack dab in the middle
Well, let me rock and roll to satisfy my soul
I want a lotta bread and gangs of meat
Oodles of butter and something sweet
Gallons of coffee to wash it down
And bi-carbonated soda by the pound
Smack dab in the middle
Smack dab in the middle
Smack dab in the middle
Well, let me rock and roll to satisfy my soul
Well, I want a big jazz band, a lotta dancing girls
A street thats paved with natural pearl
Bring me a wagonload of bonds and stocks
And then open up the doors to fort knox
Then throw me
Smack dab in the middle
Smack dab in the middle
Smack dab in the middle
Well, let me rock and roll to satisfy my soul
Soul, soul, soul
Smack dab, smack dab, smack dab...

Freedom

Sorrow in my soul,
Deep like rivers and oceans,
My mind is locked inside itself,
And I've lost the key,
I've been searching
But it seems I've lost ME.
Life is the same old story for us all,
Just the participants
Are different,
My soul longs for freedom
Yet finds none in this lonely existence.
It seems I've overlooked reality,
And wonder how I missed it.
I've heard so many lies,
That I can't trust people.
I've seen too much tragedy,
And I have come to the conclusion that
All sins are equal.
Pain is who I have become
Never ceasing to be.
My soul is screaming,
Screaming to be free.

Grief and Loss

Words fall short
To express a sense of loss.
It can only be felt
In the emptiness it left.

In the longing of your heart,
In some chamber of your soul,
For a dear one gone
In a flash, we are forever apart.

In the silent tears
That flow down your cheeks,
Soaking the pillow case
As you lie curled up in bed.

In the half smile
That never reaches your eyes,
The void that fills you
And makes you wonder why are you alive.

With time the ache becomes dull,
And from time to time
You find yourself awake
Tossing, turning going down
The memory lane,
Some sweet some full of pain.

You are never whole,
As long as there is a longing
In your soul.
In time you realise
You have to let go,
And make peace
And deal with grief.

Finally when it does,
You grow wise
Compassionate and loving,
And gain a new insight
Into life that is a mystery.
