The Face Of Your Anger
the face of anger
stares at you
and you ask yourself
what is it that i have done
that causes this
storm inside you
your cheeks bury the
teeth that gnash
your lips are the prison
wall of past wars
you were defeated there
conquered but was set free
for your humiliation
you hair runs against the wind
wet with the tears
of the earth
your nose protrude like a spear
longing to strike the
kill
she runs away from you
and hides in the forest for safety
all night
she sees your face
there is love
growing in her heart
moss to the stone
wet with dew.

Suffocation
Last night I had the weirdest dream
I dreamt that I was lying in bed
With this girl whose hair was
As black as the night and as
Thick as a forest,
And her hair, her hair was
Smothering me
Or at least, I thought it was
Her hair,
Until I noticed it was her hands
Running over my face,
My lips
My eyes
My cheeks.
As hot as the desert
And smooth as silk
But pressing down
Pressing me into my pillow
Until I could see nothing
But the pink of her skin
And I thought,
Im gunna die
Those hands are gunna
Kill me
Until I realized really,
It wasn’t hands,
But lips,
Sucking the air from mine
Engulfing my last breath
And drawing it into her being
And I thought, well,
At least lips are
A nice way to go
Until finally I came
To my goddamn senses
And I realized,
I realized it wasn’t her lips
But the words coming
From those sweet lips
That was suffocating me
And it was “I love you”
I was choking on
Not her hair, hands or lips
At all.

Lovers Of A Storm
Old Friends that say hello
Who share a secret memory?
Away from the road now travelled
This love that hides in your eyes
Betrayed by the glint of a held back tear
This mystic bond that ties us together
And in a stolen moment, over a bottle of wine
The dream runs free
Dissolving the paths that we now tread
For deep within my soul
A world with an incorruptible sky
Plays host to a lovers imagination
Where the electricity from her touch
Gives birth to the storm
Her passion fuelling the Hurricane
Within me
And in the eye of the storm
Time stands still,
And our love will reside there
Oblivious to the pain that we cause
And as I fall back to reality
In the dying wind I can hear your heartbeat
A whispered beat that calls my name
Longing for us to start anew
But your Romeo always knew
That dreams were all we had
This Love was always just out of reach
And now I am left to dream of yesterday
Lost in a bottle of wine
Longing for another storm
Longing for another kiss
And longing to be with you

He Sees Through Stone
He sees through stone
he has the secret
eyes this old black one
who under prison skies
sits pressed by the sun
against the western wall
his pipe between purple gums
the years fall
like overripe plums
bursting red flesh
on the dark earth
his time is not my time
but I have known him
in a time gone
he led me trembling cold
into the dark forest
taught me the secret rites
to make it with a woman
to be true to my brothers
to make my spear drink
the blood of my enemies
now black cats circle him
flash white teeth
snarl at the air
mashing green grass beneath
shining muscles
ears peeling his words
he smiles
he knows
the hunt the enemy
he has the secret eyes
he sees through stone

The Moon.
The moon
Oh catch the moon
Put a noose in its nose
Bring it back to harness
The icy wilderness of the noon
Sprinkle it with flowered dew.
Catch it before it runs
To penumbra of sun hide itself
Oh run and run to recover
From suffocation of grief & bart
Stiffen its dust with tears
Or the ceremonial flood
Of the tidings of the present
The anti poetic
Peregrine of the sedged cart
The olibanum of crushed heart.
The moon
Oh catch the moon
Catch it till it runs
To the hilliard mansions
The septic pun
Where the master of hounds sleep
With his metallic face
Turned to the wall
Where under the greenish shadows
Shines the dool
The moon
Oh catch the moon
Catch it before it runs
To the penumbra of the sun.

Raining On The Inside
When all goodbyes
Are said and done,
And nighttime finds you home,
Are you all right
To spend a night
Of being all alone?
And do you hide
Between the lines
Of conversations past?
A wall of words,
A heart unheard,
That hides behind a mask?
Im raining on the inside;
My heart wells up with tears that start to pour.
Im raining on the inside,
But then your cries of love break through,
And I fall in love with you once more.
When friends who care
Cant be there
To ease away my pain,
And peace of mind,
Its hard to find,
Like sunlight in the rain.
God sees my heart,
The deepest part,
Inside this lonely me,
And reachin in,
His love begins
To heal the heart in me.
Im raining on the inside;
Oh, my heart weels up with tears that start to pour.
Im raining on the inside,
But then your cries of love break through,
And I fall in love with you once more.
Sometimes were raining on the inside,
And our hearts well up with tears that start to pour.
But when were raining on the inside,
Let his cries of love break through,
Know that he loves you, once more....
Sometimes Im raining on the inside,
But then your cries of love break through,
And I fall in love with you once more.

She Crawls Away
I fall in she sees me and smiles
Then she starts to hate herself again
She screams something under her breath
That I wouldnt know if she said it outloud
She turns over to start a conversation
With a man that noone else can see
She dreams of loving me sometimes
And it makes me see what weve been missing
Its like I never knew anyone so strong before
She brings the man outa me
And she makes me see that they dont matter
I believe
We see her playin with another
She runs around you and then
Its like the sun goes down and she crawls away again
She wears white pants a miami sweater
Says that she loves the os
So uncle dean will come by
Her smile is like sunshine
Her tears hurt like leather
She runs the show she lets me know
Says its all about being the only
Its like someone said you could have one good thing in your life
She couldnt be your type
I didnt plan for your smile, but you make me laugh when you stand dreamin
I believe, we see her layin with another
She runs around you and then
Its like the sun goes down and she crawls away again
Where were you yesterday
Now that my heart is wild and free
And my lips have room to wander
How can I say your needing me now
When Ive got a plan
I know you dont understand why my heart is sorry know
I believe
We see her laying with another
She runs around you and then
Its like the sun goes down and she crawls
I believe
We see her waiting with another
She runs around you and then
Its like the sun goes down and she crawls away again

Deep In Your Heart
I do know lifes been hard for you my love
Well take it slow and let our feelings grow
Day by day I feel Im getting closer to you
Come with me, wont let you slip away
Deep in your heart you are longing for love
I know you want me too
Deep in your heart you are longing for love
Thats all I want from you
Deep in your heart you are longing for love
You feel the way I do
Deep in your heart you are longing for love
And I keep longing to be with you
To survive you have tried to run from love
Deep down inside you want me in your life
Storm by storm Im breaking down this wall round your heart
I hold on to all your fears are gone
Deep in your heart you are longing for love
I know you want me too
Deep in your heart you are longing for love
Thats all I want from you
Deep in your heart you are longing for love
You feel the way I do
Deep in your heart you are longing for love
And I keep longing to be with you

Forgive Her, She Knows Not What She Does
You are anger now and have
become anger through anger.
The tight-lipped woman blowing
smoke into my lungs
and soul. It’s foggy now
and sits silently inside me.
You are what I hate and what
I love, a cloud that hints at rain
but never does, a woman with
two mouths and two hearts
to match them, growing
always growing, a small tree
inside me where leaves fall.
Seasons change dear, but the tree’s
still there and so to the anger
quiet as a virgin bullet, I cannot
chop it down myself before
it pushes out and through
eyes, a nose, and a branch splits
the tongue and there’s a knot
growing into a hard heart. You
are the axe, the down swing, the
feeling of letting go, the burning
fire that ate up the anger
in the night.

Locked Inside Your Prison
Your love is like a prison wall
And its getting higher
I get so far and then I fall
I cant get through the wire
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Its as though Im doing time
And you wont free me
Let the punishment befit the crime
And say you need me
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Save me save me cant you see Im innocent
Turn the key that will set me free
Please let it end oh let it end
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Save me save me cant you see Im innocent
Turn the key that will set me free
Please let it end wont you let it end
Ill dig a tunnel to your heart
Let me remind you
Even gonna tear the walls apart
Until I find you
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison

Red Hill Mining Town
]from father to son
The blood runs thin
Our faces frozen (still) against the wind
The seam is split
The coal face cracked
The lines are long
And theres no going back
Through hands of steel
And a heart of stone
Our labor day has come and gone
And you leave us holding on
In red hill town
As the lights go down
Im hanging on
Youre all thats left to hang on to
Im holding on
Youre all thats left to hang on to
The glass is cut
The bottle runs dry
Our love runs cold
In the caverns of the night
Were wounded by fear
Injured in doubt
I can lose myself
Im holding on
Youre all thats left to hold on to
And we scorch the earth
Set fire to the sky
Stoop so low to reach so high
A link is lost
The chain undone
Now we wait all day
For the night to come
And it comes
And it comes
Like a hunter (child)
Im hanging on
Youre all thats left to hang on to
Im hanging on to
Youre all thats left to hang on to
We see love slowly stripped away
Our love, has seen a better day
Im hanging on
Youre all thats left to hold on to
Im holding on
Youre all thats left to hold on to
See the lights go down on red hill town
See lights go down on red hill town

My Name That Runs
Underneath the sea stands a river of silk and milk that runs,
Opening thoughts of you, the dispute of a month that runs.
I have a maze of worries that tortures the depths of the mind,
Offering me a solution shall be the ocean that is the millionth that runs.
One person is one antagonist, the anatomy of whom excretes blood,
Fetching horrible nightmares like those heroes of the labyrinth that runs.
Let the heavens be attached to the barbarians and soldiers,
One masters them as a battle that rages on as the zillionth that runs.
One will escape the rigours of youth to face a war on the frontline,
Battle systems need generals and wizards of the heavens, the seventh that runs.
I have my name engraved like a stone of weight, the grave so morbid,
One masters my writing as if the relics are as morbid as the trillionth that runs.

All Over Your Face
When I see you, you smile as if everything is alright,
but I know your smile is just a mask for your hurt and sadness,
for the truth is written all over your face.
Behind your dark brown gleaming eyes I can see the tears you have cried.
It’s written all over your face.
I can even see behind your blush the anger wrinkles in your cheeks from you clinching your teeth. It’s written all over your face.
I can even see the hurt and disappointment you now carry in your soul.
It’s written all over your face.
I just want you to know my friend I’m there for you whenever you need a shoulder to cry on, an ear to vent in, and of course arms to hug you. I love and care for you and hope you can see that because it’s written all over my face.
Inside Your Head
It's so hard to keep and stay,
Inside your head.
Any wisdom from you runs...
Run, run, runs.
With a running done that comes,
Run, run, runs.
With a running done that comes,
Run, run, runs.
When you open your mouth,
Out it comes...
Something ignorant is done,
Really dumb, dumb.
Something ignorant is done,
Really dumb, dumb.
And you might think your responses are cute.
When you choose something abusive,
To say that's aloof.
And you might think your responses are cute.
When you choose abusive uses,
To say that are loose.
But,
Any wisdom from you runs...
Run, run, runs.
With a running that is done,
Runs, run, run..
With a running that is done,
Run, runs, run.
It's so hard to keep and stay...
Inside your head.
When you open your mouth,
Any face will turn red.
'Cause,
Any wisdom from you runs...
Run, run, runs.
With a running that is done,
Runs, run, run..
With a running that is done,
Run, runs, run.
Any wisdom from you runs.
Run, run, runs.
It's so hard to keep and stay...
Inside your head.
It's so hard to keep and stay...
A wisdom chased away.

A Night To Remember
I look out my window
Into the pouring rain
I wish I could tell you
That I stopped hearing your name
And then I realize every thought of you
Runs a circle around my heart
I hear your voice haunting me
I feel your touch in the dark
It was a night to remember
All your kisses I still taste
It was a night to remember
Can't forget the look on your face
It was a night
Starlight send a message
Like a beacon into the night
To tell you I'm lonely
When I shut out the light
Because a part of me left with you
So I feel lost inside
Sometimes I look into my mirror
I see you shining through my eyes
It was a night to remember
All your kisses I still taste
It was a night to remember
Can't forget the look on your face
It was a night to remember
All these feelings I can't erase
From my heart
Endless dreams
Around my shoulders
I cannot free this restless heart
It was a night to remember
...Not enough time for you to stay...
...Can't forget the look on your face

Lust
The smell fills her senses, she breathes it in,
She knows it is wrong, that it's a sin,
She turns her back forces herself to run,
She runs away from m the scent she longs for, out of the sun,
She runs farther into the dark, the forest,
She runs faster than ever, into the trees to leave the rest,
The rest of what she wants, of what she longs for,
But she knows she can't let herself loose what shes woked so hard for
She ran, till safe from temtation from the longing,
And slowly her lover caught up the stopped in front of her, wondering,
She made herself continue, with him close behind,
The she smelled a new smell, and she knew what she had to find.
The lion was purched in a tree,
She knew what she had to do, and this kill would be free,
She wouldn't have to deal with the guilt of someone
She only had the feeling of thirst leaving, of being the one who won
Who won the battle between instinct and right, of doing what she must,
She won the battle against wanting human, the battle of lust

Karma
I drop a stone into the ocean
Every choice another turn of the screw
Another wheel set in motion
With every single thing I do
Its there in the air that I breathe
Its in my whisper and scream
Inside everything I believe
And its all gonna come around someday
As the smallest stream runs to a river
And every river runs to the sea
So every little bit of love I give to another
You know that I believe it comes back to me
There is no absolution whether Im the garden or the rose
If I aint part of the solution, yeah you know how that goes
You can always leave but you bring it all back home someday
As the smallest stream runs to a river
And every river runs to the sea
So every little bit of love I give to another
You know that I believe it comes back to me
Every single thing I say, everyone that I betray
Any love that I take when I do not make it in return
Every thing I do and every time Ive been unfaithful too
All the things that I believe are lessons I must learn
As the smallest stream runs to a river
And every river runs to the sea
So every little bit of love I give to another
You know that I believe it comes back to me
As the smallest stream runs to a river
And every river runs to the sea
So every little bit of love I give to another
You know that I believe it comes back to me

The Wild Horse
(r. stewart/a. taylor)
Born and raised
In a motel in new orleans
I ran away
With a hobo and his gypsy friends
We rode a freight train up to cleveland
Across the utah plains
Proud men, troubadours torn and frayed
Sleeping under the stars
While gently strumming guitars
Played the songs of woddy guthrie
And the open road
I knew right then I could never go home
Cause the wild horse runs free forever
Oh yeah, a wild horse runs free forever
And ever and ever
I met a girl
From a family of position and wealth
What a hand
This rambler had been finally dealt
A beauty six years and ten
I felt the walls closing in
Like a swollen river
Bout to overflow
Like a losing gambler I kept on rolling
And a wild horse runs free forever
Yeah yeah yeah
A wild horse runs free forever
The wild horse runs free forever
Yeah yeah yeah
A wild horse runs free forever
Play the guitar
So understand I must go
But Ill drink you one last toast
Oh heres to the heart
And the hands of a man
That come with the dust
And are gone with the wind
May the wild horse run free forever
Yeah the wild horse runs free forever
The wild horse runs free forever
Yeah the wild horse run free forever
Wild guitar, baby, come on, wild
I know, I know, I know, I know
Play it for me, come on.
Yeah, hit it. yeah yeah. let me hear it, yeah.
The wild horse run free ...

A Stream’s Singing
O HOW beautiful is Morning!
How the sunbeams strike the daisies,
And the kingcups fill the meadow
Like a golden-shielded army
Marching to the uplands fair;--
I am going forth to battle,
And life's uplands rise before me,
And my golden shield is ready,
And I pause a moment, timing
My heart's pæan to the waters,
As with cheerful song incessant
Onwards runs the little stream;
Singing ever, onward ever,
Boldly runs the merry stream.
O how glorious is Noon-day!
With the cool large shadows lying
Underneath the giant forest,
The far hill-tops towering dimly
O'er the conquered plains below;--
I am conquering--I shall conquer
In life's battle-field impetuous:
And I lie and listen dreamy
To a double-voiced, low music,--
Tender beech-trees sheeny shiver
Mingled with the diapason
Of the strong, deep, joyful stream,
Like a man's love and a woman's;
So it runs--the happy stream!
O how grandly cometh Even,
Sitting on the mountain summit,
Purple-vestured, grave, and silent,
Watching o'er the dewy valleys,
Like a good king near his end:--
I have labored, I have governed;
Now I feel the gathering shadows
Of the night that closes all things:
And the fair earth fades before me,
And the stars leap out in heaven,
While into the infinite darkness
Solemn runs the steadfast stream--
Onward, onward, ceaseless, fearless,
Singing runs the eternal stream.

Your Eyes In That Picture Insist On Asking Why
well, i was yet 15 but i already keep a photograph of you
in my pocket,
you are the face of my heart beat in black and white
i often kiss your tiny lips and put you on my chest
as though i feel you one with me
in my sleep,
that was long time ago and the picture suffered
with the way i was keeping it
inside my old poetry books
in those pages eaten by bookworms
some scratches ultimately
are inflicted in your cheeks
and even your lips
have become empty spaces
blurred by time
what keeps insistent however are your eyes
stripped of a nose and lips and even a neck
thriving on lesser hair
and thin ears
they float in that picture
still looking at me
asking
why?
