The Black Parasols...
the coming of the
rain is so sudden
but they are
ready somehow
in that silent place
of green grasses
above them she
watches the
openings of
black parasols

Red Rain
Red rain is coming down
Red rain
Red rain is pouring down
Pouring down all over me
I am standing up at the waters edge in my dream
I cannot make a single sound as you scream
It cant be that cold, the ground is still warm to touch
This place is so quiet, sensing that storm
Red rain is coming down
Red rain
Red rain is pouring down
Pouring down all over me
Well Ive seen them buried in a sheltered place in this town
They tell you that this rain can sting, and look down
There is no blood around see no sign of pain
Hay ay ay no pain
Seeing no red at all, see no rain
Red rain is coming down
Red rain
Red rain is pouring down
Pouring down all over me
Red rain-
Putting the pressure on much harder now
To return again and again
Just let the red rain splash you
Let the rain fall on your skin
I come to you defences down
With the trust of a child
Red rain is coming down
Red rain
Red rain is pouring down
Pouring down all over me
And I cant watch any more
No more denial
Its so hard to lay down in all of this
Red rain is coming down
Red rain is pouring down
Red rain is coming down all over me
I see it
Red rain is coming down
Red rain is pouring down
Red rain is coming down all over me
Im bathing in it
Red rain coming down
Red rain is coming down
Red rain is coming down all over me
Im begging you
Red rain coming down
Red rain coming down
Red rain coming down
Red rain coming down
Over me in the red red sea
Over me
Over me
Red rain

The Green Grass Of Your Home...
they are the silent witnesses
of my first love
those spreading green grass of your home
away from mine
when we first kiss and when we finally made love
sweet juices flow on such blanket of green
so fresh then warm...
they shall be the same silent witness of my last breath
those wilting grasses of your home
away from mine
when we finally part and when the wreath is placed
above my home
away from yours
the elegy shall be said and the dirge shall be played
and the wilting grasses shall have heard
the sounds of my
final rest.

Oh Rain Come Agian
Oh rain, oh rain, oh rain
Come again, come again
We are scorching in the summer
Come with sudden thunder
Don't just drizzle
Little and little
But come and pour
Plenty of water
The land is dry
Animals are making cry
Temperature crossed forty five
Bees are coming out of their hive
Without water land is hell
Plants have turned pale
Oh rain. Oh rain
Come again, come again
To turn landscape green
As it ever had been
Oh rain, por water
To make earth greener
More healthier and richer

Have You Ever Seen The Rain
Someone told me long ago
They were gone before the storm
I know, its been coming for sometime
Be it so, and so I say
Little rain and sun by day
I know, shining down like water
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Coming down, down this day
Coming down, down this day
Yes for days and days before
Sun is rain and cold is hot
I know, in this place got all my found
Thru the circles fast and slow
There for every moment goes
I know, I cant stop, I wonder
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Coming down, down this day
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Coming down, down this day
I wanna know

Green Grasses
Green beautiful grasses
Where lands the butterflies
Green grasshoppers just hopped
Greedily shining beautifully to be alive
Looking deeply in ones gazing eyes
And don't know how to say goodbye
Or tell ones flesh never to smile freely
With these green grasses
That smiles with a dog tooth
For flesh makes grasses ever green.
Green beautiful grasses
Just doesn't feel right
Growing on a burial ground
Across ones head
Having no yesterday,
And no to-morrow.
Forgetting thoughts, taught, time
Forgetting fortune, life and love
Lying at peace
With grasses growing all over ones head
Green beautiful grasses
Where I lay when I rise to the morning sun
Stretching legs during the burning ray
Forgetting about death or life
Feeling an angel
Angels cherish a background
Looking so beautiful,
A sight to see
A scene to show
How deep is a love….

The Poem I Waited For All Day
THE POEM I WAITED FOR ALL DAY
THE POEM I WAITED FOR ALL DAY
The Poem I waited for all day
Came only in the evening
Instead of green and gold
Its grey was ready for black.
Life is that way
We wait and wait
For the sudden dawn of beauty
And somewhere else preparing
In another way
The sudden blindness comes.

The Fish Year
Marico brought back a tank with salt water from Brazil,
Wnetta bought small stones and water plants from pet store,
The red fish and black fish were got from
Hua’s backyard pond,
After Chris checking the filter
and water temperature,
everything is set,
and the fish is ready to grow and bred.
Gundi feeds the fish everyday,
and watches them day and night.
The red fish swim up and down,
The black fish swim down and up,
The green water plants swing their long leaves
upside down.
We can hear the talk from the tank:
One lady, two ladies, three ladies…
One man, two men, three men…
American, German, Chinese, Brazilian,
Indian, Russian…
The fish is counting! ! !
Counting the people in the lab!
Maybe they learned the counting from Gundi,
Gundi is a great mathematician,
She always counts when she watches them:
One fish, two fish, three fish…
Red fish, black fish, red-black fish…
That’s our first fish year,
we expect to have the second, the third,
and then for ever.

A Rainy Day
the trees are full of green leaves.
the shrubs are flowery.
the grasses are still wet with dew.
two muscular men pass by.
Under one black umbrella.
One hand on the shoulder
of the other
keeping themselves close
to avoid being wet by the rain.
On the bench beside the
pavement
One lean white man
sits with sad eyes
(i guess there must
be tears on his cheeks)
looking at them.
Not a word is heard.

Across the Green Fields
Across the green fields
Up on the bluffs
High into the sky
A place I didn’t realize existed
Montana
Yes green
Once in a drought
It now is green from pounding rain.
God’s country again
It looks like a different place
No brown desert prairies
No desolate fields
It’s green now
A beautiful velvety green.

An Angel
An Angel…Or?
I knew as soon s she came in she was from
a place I hadn’t been… before. She was silent.
sat down and began some embroidery work,
a silk dress for a delightful nuptial.
By the entrance to a house we stood kissing,
the door was black as the entrance to hell,
and the ground was white as snow…her eyes
bottomless green, flickered in desire.
Search light, we had been caught in the glare
unbecoming lust, and ran to a bus shelter.
Silent rain like tears, knew I had to run away,
she wanted me to take the lift heavenward.
The elevator out of order, and her face was
lost in a miasma of the unremembered.

Ready For The Rain
Early in the morning, before the daylight
I hear the sound of thunder, comin through in the night
I lie awake and I wonder , where my life is goin
Am I on a road leadin nowhere, theres no way of knowin
cause Ive seen the lightning
And Im ready for the rain to fall
Now Im standin on a mountain, lookin into the sky
I see the clouds come rollin in, water fills my eyes
I dont know whats in the future, no one can say
Dont wanna think about the past, Ive gotta live for today
cause Ive seen the lightnin now
I need to find my own way, while Ive still got time
And Im ready for the rain to fall
cause Ive heard the thunder
And Im ready for the rain to fall
Im ready, ready for the rain
Ive got to rise above it all
And get ready for the rain to fall
Did you ever know someone, who had lost their way
Built their own little kingdom, and just blew it all away
Im not ashamed to admit it, that someone was me
Im gonna look to the future now, cause Ive set myself free
And Ive seen the lightnin
Im gonna set myself free, while Ive still got time
Get ready for the rain to fall
cause Ive heard the thunder
And Im ready for the rain to fall
Im ready, ready for the rain
Ive got to rise above it all
And get ready for the rain to fall, while Ive still got time....

His Eye Is On The Sparrow
Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
Why should my heart feel lonely
And long for heaven and home
When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches over me
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me (He watches me)
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches
I know He watches
I know He watches me
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me (He watches me)
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me (He watches me)
He watches me
I know
He watches
Me

Caravan Of Love
Are you ready
Are you ready
Are you ready
Are you ready
Are you ready for the time of life
Its time to stand up and fight
So alright
So alright
Hand in hand we take a caravan to the marble land
One by one we gonna stand up with pride
One that cant be denied
Stand up
Stand up
From the highest mountain of valley old
We all shall together with heart of gold
Now the children of the world can see
This a better place for us to be
The place is which we were born
So neglected and torn apart
Every woman every man
Join the caravan of love
(stand up) stand up
Stand up
Every body takes a stand
Join the caravan of love
(stand up) stand up
Stand up
Im your brother
Im your brother dont you know
Shes my sister
Shes my sister dont you know
Well be living in the world of peace
And the day when everyone is free
Bring the young and the old
Want you let chilled flow from your heart
Every woman every man
Join the caravan of love
(stand up) stand up
Stand up
Every body takes a stand
Join the caravan of love
(stand up) stand up
Stand up
Im your brother
Im your brother dont you know
Shes my sister
Shes my sister dont you know
So are you ready ( hes coming )
Are you ready ( hes coming )
Are you ready ( hes coming )
Are you ready ( hes coming on the caravan )
You better get ready ( go for it )
You better get ready ( go for it )
You better get ready ( go for it )
You better get ready

A Light In The Black
Cant forget his face
What a lonely place
Has he really let us go
All the time thats lost
Whats the final cost
Will I really get away
All my life it seems
Just a crazy dream
Reaching for somebodys star
Cant be believed it all
Did he really fall
What to do now I dont know
Somethings calling me back
Theres a light in the black
Am I ready to go
Im coming home
Breathed the air before
Heard the thunder roar
Never knew it was for me
Always looking down
Lost and never found
Eyes that looked but not to see
All my life it seems
Just a crazy dream
Reaching for somebodys star
Like an open door
That youve passed before
But youve never had the key
Somethings calling me back
Like a light in the black
Am I ready to go
Im coming home, Im coming home
Im going back to my home
Im going home, home, home
Im going home, home, home
Im coming back
Wont forget his face
What a lonely place
Did he really let us go
All the time thats lost
Whats the final cost
Will I really get away
All my life it seems
Just a crazy dream
Reaching for somebodys star
Cant believe it all
Did he really fall
What to do now well I know
Somethings calling me back
Like a light in the black
Yes Im ready to go
Im coming home, home
Im on my way back home
Im here to stay
Here I will stay
Ill stay, Ill stay

Old Black Dawning
I hung around
On the planet mabel
She tried to stand
But she was not able
She tried to find the truth
She tried to colonize space
She only had a few
But it was a good race
Old black dawning is coming on
Old black dawning is coming on
Old black dawning
Old black dawning
Im always happy to
Go down to old tucson
After you had your fun
Its time to move on
Ive got a favorite story
About the tower of babel
Some say its true
And some say its a fable
Old black dawning is coming on
Old black dawning is coming on
Old black dawning
Old black dawning

Fair Openings
Of humankind and of love,
Of humankind and of peace,
But yesterday is gone too soon;
Abd we are faded in the age of love.
He will put his head up and she will put her tail up,
Softly and sweet to the taste of things;
And like fair openings of the graves.
See the sankes that they rear,
In this era of the computer age;
And of their nakedness as seen in the bush,
But the fair openings are like the crystal gleaming.
If there is no sex it is enough for the day,
But if there is sex then let it produce a baby;
And like a chosen leaf at the gate of Eden.
To see it by moonlight and to use it by daylight,
And like my first love at school;
But my second love was a t the place of work,
And in my death i will have my third love.
I am alive and kicking,
And like the beautiful and the brave!
But today i am very handsome and lovely.
Sea-birds of love and of the fair openings,
The morning star is here to stay with us all;
But in the noontide i will be with you my lover.

Outside Our Silent Parasols
Your departure made shadows
inside this steel gray curtain
prancing with every step
like the flames of the sunset
swallowed inside the clouds
draping the unweaving of light
The rain plummets down
trying to furrow the distance
between heaven and earth
while veiling the complacence
festooned with false pretense
Because the obsidian eyes
casted downwards like the rain
is caught in a ponderous downpour
filling the empty basin I held
like a thirsty tree, writhing in time
And as I waded through little oasis
where your steps left a Doppler effect,
I listened to the orchestra of susurrations
and the symphonic percussions -
the minutiae slivers of our shattering
inside this nebulous weather
pleading for the decadence to halt
We wiped our wet faces and
recognized the old photographs
there is no reason to stay astray
under this eternal mad rain
And now that we took shade
under the comfort of our parasols,
the pall of rain marks on my shoulder
and its unlikely weight slowly
reveals itself to me as it
started to dry out and dissolve
The flummoxing tears suspended
and cringed to be dabbed
as the inclement wind sojourned
to listen to its trickling sound
but peace shove embarrassment
into its openly awake wounds
And the thunders still dislimns
the tersely woven conversation
and the lightning still blears
the deterred scope of visions
and the gust and hail goes on
outside our silent parasols
and I catch these moments
on sorry solitary occasions.

(john fogerty)
Producer for bonnie: jim steinman
Someone told me long ago
Theres a calm before the storm
I know, and its been coming for sometime
When its over so they say
Itll bring a sunny day
I know, shining down like water
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Coming down on a sunny day
Yesterday and days before
Sun is cold and rain is hot
I know, been that way for all my time
Till forever on it goes
Fill the circle fast and slow
I know, and I cant stop my wonder
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Coming down on a sunny day
Instrumental
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Coming down on a sunny day
Have you ever seen the rain...repeat and fade
