Songs
i agree songs strike deeper
in our inner cores each note
striking a chord right at the
center of our hearts, the lyrics
spellbinding and the images
create a world of each own
so different from where we
are sitting: your songs have
spoken well and i think i am
beginning to understand
more: we have become a
scale lesser than immortals
but a scale higher than
ordinary mortals, midway
between feelings and dreams
just a note higher than reality.

Deeper, Dig Deeper
Deeper, dig deeper
Deeper, deeper, dig, dig, deeper, deeper
Get a little closer
You dont have to be afraid
You have to trust your inner pilot
Dont let it drift away
Dig a little deeper
You gotta get it in your soul
Reach out with your spirit
And let your feelings show
Deeper, deeper, dig, dig, deeper, deeper
You cant deny the feeling
That touches you inside
When youre tired and lonely
You dont have to lose your pride.
Take the time to listen
Stay a little while
Got a song to sing for you
Let the music get you higher, higher.

Roaring higher
My fire in heart is aggressive
Keeps burring all time
Roaring higher! Roaring higher!
My fire can destruct the jealous world
Till it end fortunate and convenient
Roaring higher! Roaring higher!
My fire can create the ability
To create the gentle heart with success
Roaring higher! Roaring higher!
My fire can be the spirit
To light up the heart in the darkness
Roaring higher! Roaring higher!

Music Notes
Music
The most beautiful thing I'll ever know
A music note
A note after another note
Composed to create sound
To create feelings
Thoughts
And emotion
Music notes are the most beautiful things I've ever seen
A note
Just a glance and u know
Knowing music is being created
Just the beauty of a music note
And the thing is
I can't read music notes
Just the sound the music notes make

The Piano Tuner’s Wife
That note comes clear, like water running clear,
Then the next higher note, and up and up
And more and more, with now and then a chord,
The highest notes like tapping a tile with a hammer,
Now and again an arpeggio, a theme
As if the keyboard spoke to the one key,
Saying, No interval is exactly true,
And the note whines slightly and then truly sings.
She sits on the sofa reading a book she has brought,
A ray of sunlight on her white hair.
She is here because he is blind. She drives.
It is almost a platitude to say
That she leads him from piano to piano.
And this continues for about an hour,
Building bridges from both sides of the void,
Coasting the chasms of the harmonies.
And in conclusion,
When there is no more audible dissent,
He plays his comprehensive keyboard song,
The loud proud paradigm,
The one work of art without content.

I suppose subconsciously I was thinking in terms of having the scale of it matching the scale of the images. Hence the sort of string quartet, jazz band and electronic stuff.

Higher Ground
My heart has no desire to
Stay where doubts arise
And fears dismay.
Though we must dwell
Where these are bound
I must go on to higher ground.
I want to scale the
Utmost hight and catch
A gleam of glory bright.
For faith has caught
The joyful sound,
The song of life on higher ground.
Lord, lift me up
And let me stand my feet
On heavens stable land.
Oh, greater plane
That I have found.
Oh, plant my feet on higher ground.
Im treading on the
Upward way, new hights
Im gaining every day,
Still praying as Im homeward bound:
Oh, plant my feet on higher ground.

Higher & Higher
Blasting, billowing, bursting forth
With the power of ten billion butterfly sneezes
Man with his flaming pyre
Has conquered the wayward breezes
Climbing to tranquility
Far above the cloud
Conceiving the heavens
Clear of misty shroud
Higher and higher
Now weve learned to play with fire
Go higher and higher and higher
Vast vision must improve our sight
Perhaps at last well see and end
To our homes endless blight
And the beginning of the free
Climb to tranquility
Finding its real worth
Conceiving the heavens
Florishing on earth
Higher and higher
Now weve learned to play with fire
Go higher and higher and higher

Praise
Let me begin by telling you
Something that happened turned my head around
I took a walk on a cloudy day
I met a friend, this is what he said
Now is the time for change
Im trying to get to a higher place
Life is surrounded by grace
Lets join together singing songs of freedom
What do you do when you gain the world
You pay the price, baby, you lose your soul
Live in a world of make believe
It wont work, baby, cant you see?
Now is the time for change
Im trying to get to a higher place
Life is surrounded by grace
Lets join together singing songs of freedom
Praise.....praise
Its three o clock in the mornin
When Im all by myself
And I feel the spirit comin on again
Now is the time for change
Im trying to get to a higher place
Life is surrounded by grace
Lets join together singing songs of freedom

Centered
My inner light and my inner darkness.
My positive and my negative.
In the center, my neutral or balance.
My peace, will not allow my scale to tip.
Too positive, taken advantage of.
Too negative, taking advantage of.
Mind full of others, or mindless.
Full of myself and void of others.
Full of others and void of myself.
Minding my business or another's.
Apathy or arrogance.
Not centered.
But self centered, the center of attention, the center of the universe.
If others are my universe, then I don't know who I am.
I am lost.
I find myself.
I create my universe.
If I worry about where I have been, or where I am going,
Then I cannot just be.
A creation with too many directions.
What I became, is first,
What I become, is last,
What I be, is now.
Which is all I truly only have.
Where I have been,
Where I am going.
Is the end of where I was.
The beginning of where I will be.
And the revelation of where I am at.

Critic and Poet: an Epilogue
("Poetry must be simple, sensuous, or impassioned; this man is neither simple, sensuous, nor impassioned; therefore he is not a poet")
No man had ever heard a nightingale,
When once a keen-eyed naturalist was stirred
To study and define--what is a bird,
To classify by rote and book, nor fail
To mark its structure and to note the scale
Whereon its song might possibly be heard.
Thus far, no farther;--so he spake the word.
When of a sudden,--hark, the nightingale!
Oh deeper, higher than he could divine
That all-unearthly, untaught strain! He saw
The plain, brown warbler, unabashed. "Not mine"
(He cried) "the error of this fatal flaw.
No bird is this, it soars beyond my line,
Were it a bird, 'twould answer to my law."

Dreams
World turns black and white
Pictures in an empty room
Your love starts fallin down
Better change your tune
Reach for the golden ring
Reach for the sky
Baby just spread your wings
Chorus:
Well get higher and higher straight up well climb
Well get higher and higher leave it all behind
Run, run, run, away
Like a train runnin off the track
The truth gets left behind
And falls between the cracks
Standing on broken dreams
But never losing sight
Spread your wings
Chorus
So baby dry your eyes, save all the tears youve cried
Ohh thats what dreams are made of
Oh baby we belong in a world that must be strong
Ohh thats what dreams are made of
Solo
Chorus
Higher and higher who knows what well find
And in the end on dreams we will depend
Cause thats what love is made of

Im Only Looking
I hear voices
Inside my head
Can I deceive
Can I believe
My whispering friends
What do I hear
About war and peace
What do I hear
About love and sex
Im delirious
For an answer
Im delirious
For an answer
Taking me deeper
And deeper in mind
Taking me deeper
And deeper in mind
Fascination for
Limits of love
Should I aim higher
And higher and higher
Will I break you
Like some possession
To leave my lesson
Taking me deeper
And deeper in mind
Taking me deeper
And deeper in mind
Im only looking
Taking me deeper
And deeper in mind

What Goes Around Comes Around
My pockets were full now my money's gone
My friends come around and now they're gone
Things come and they come and then they go
And where they go nobody knows
It's gonna come around
What goes around comes around
It's gonna come around
What goes around comes around
My cup over runneth with fullness and grace
Yet people push bullshit in my face
The future can't hold what your money can't buy
My brother keep striving your child relies
It's gonna come around
What goes around comes around
It's gonna come around
What goes around comes around
This world keeps on spinning does the future know ?
We're destined to screw ourselves one blow
We've ruined what's pure down from nature below
You'd better look back it'll all be gone
It's gonna come around
What goes around comes around
It's gonna come around
What goes around comes around
So children please listen this world is yours
This message is too deep to ignore
Your forefathers said but they did not do
The things that would show that they cared for you
It's gonna come around
What goes around comes around
It's gonna come around
What goes around comes around
Comes around comes around comes around [X3]
Comes around yeah
Gonna take you higher
I'm gonna take you higher [X2]
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
I'm gonna take you higher
Gonna take higher
Yeah yeah yeah
Gonna take you higher higher
Higher higher higher higher
Gonna take you higher
Gonna take you higher

Dark is the night
High is the fire
Touches the sky
Love with no shape or form
I am in your minds eye
Just let your dreams run wild
Somewhere, out across the nation
Someone, waiting in the shadows
Listen, I dont wanna hear
Return to, sender
Calling, I can see the future
Someday, signal with a single motion
Show me you believe in someone, somewhere
Oh baby you, you give, me
You give me the runaround
Just another night, with, you
Youre on my mind
And we got love
And lovell take you higher and higher and higher
Higher and higher
(chorus)
E.s.p
I communicate with you
Tell me what it means to feel
What am I supposed to do
E.s.p
Nothing any words can say
Nothing that we know is real
But itll take your breath away
Your breath away
Danger, suddenly an early warning
Suddenly the soul is burning
But I still believe in someone, somewhere
Baby you, give, me
You give me the runaround
Just another night with you
Im in your mind
And we got love
And lovell take you higher and higher and higher
Higher and higher
E.s.p
I communicate with you
Tell me what it means to feel
What am I supposed to do
E.s.p
And lovell take you higher and higher and higher
Higher and higher
Be prepared to make your sacrifice, tonight
Far beyond the point of no return, oh no
And we got love
And lovell take you higher and higher and higher
Higher and higher, higher and higher
(repeat chorus)

Flaming Youth
Whoo yeah
My parents think Im crazy and they hate the things I do
Im stupid and Im lazy, man, if they only knew
How flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth, our flag is flying higher and higher and higher
My uniform is leather, and my power is my age
Im gettin it together to break out of my cage
cause flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth, our flag is flying higher and higher and higher
Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth will set the world on fire

And higher and higher and higher and higher and higher

The Old Songs
There goes another one
Another happy couple on the road to emptiness
I think of my father and mother
Can they imagine how two people can get in this mess
But the old songs say - loves forever
And the old songs never say die
But a song cant keep us together
How can that beautiful song be a lie
Me I blame the old songs
Filling hearts with rebellion and romance
Our book of revelations
And all we had to do was dance
Play us another one
Play us the hopes and dreams of twenty years ago
Theyre all over the bloody radio
Its like theyre telling us theres nowhere left to go
And the old songs say - be my baby
And the old songs say - she loves you
All the songs well sing come what may be
I like those songs
But Id like something new
Me I blame the old songs
Protect us all against a change of course
All our great expectations
Turn to alimony and remorse

Like An Ocean
(per andreasson/ pernilla emme)
Producer for bonnie: jimmy smyth
Ocean...ocean...
In the darkness of nowhere
Theres nothing at all
And I feel like Ive been here too long
Shadows and teardrops fading away
And my heart is crying for love
Far from those moments
When my eyes were still closed
And my heartbeat was longing for more
Way over mountains, higher than high
I could feel the breeze from below
Like an ocean...
Like an ocean...
Now tell me your secrets
Come closer and whisper
I feel like Ive seen you before
Theres no more illusions
No more escapes
Cause Im tired of asking for more
Seems like a lifetime fading away
And Im lost in an ocean of love
Im reaching and holding onto my dreams
Cause Im not alone anymore
Like an ocean...
Way over mountains higher than high
Like an ocean...
Way over mountains higher than high
Like an ocean...
Way over mountains higher than high
Like an ocean...
Way over mountains higher than high
Spoken:
Far from those moments
When my eyes were still closed
Way over mountains
Higher than high
I could feel the breeze from below
Its like an ocean, ocean...heeeyehhh
Like an ocean...
Way over mountains higher than high
Like an ocean...
Way over mountains higher than high
Like an ocean...
Way over mountains higher than high
Like an ocean...
Way over mountains higher than high
Repeat & fade

It's not a bad problem to have because a lot of classic acts are known for one or two songs and in their show they basically hold those songs off until the end and you sit through an hour or so of lesser known material but in our case most of the songs are well known.

Higher Than The World
Well Im higher than the world
And Im livin in my dreams
Ill make it better than it seems
Today
And Im higher than a cloud
And Im living in the sound
Ill make it better than it seems
Today
Higher than the world
But my head is in a swirl
I gotta give a life a whirl
Today
Higher than the clouds
Wrapped up in the sound
Ill make it better all around
Today
Higher than the world
But my head is in a swirl
I gotta give a life a whirl
Today
Higher in my mind
Im going leave these blues behind
And Ill find what I find
Today
Cause Im higher than the world
And Im wrapped up in my dreams
Ill make it better than it seems
Today
Yes, Im higher than the world
And Im livin in my mind
I got to hold on to what I find
Today
Just a little bit higher
Little bit higher
