Society could subsist even if everyone does nothing

You worry much
Doing this and that
Cooking the rice
Washing the laundry
Cleaning the house
Feeding the pigs
Cleaning the yard

You are doing everything
And taking everything
You are having the
Burden of this world

And I pity you
I am here
Sitting watching
The sunrise
And marveling
And I
Simply wonder
About everything
Everyday
All these things
Are always new
To me
And this
Afternoon
I will be marveling
At the orange ness
And redness of
Sunset

The cool evening
The glitters of stars
And the song of
Night birds
And the hymns
Of the nearby
Church

And you complain
Of back pains
And a sprained
Leg and a cracking
Bone and a nerve
Wracked and wrecked

The problem with
You is you are
Overworking
You are at fault

Society could
Subsist
Even if everyone
Did nothing

I have things
And nature
To enjoy
And talents
Not to
Waste

The society where I live can subsist even if I do nothing.
And you are not a part of it. You refused to.

Superficial Society

So I'm not good enough to hang out with your friends
You say it's a bluff, it's no lie
You want to be cool and hang with both sides
But what would they say, I'm the fool
It's a superficial society
It's a bunch of bullshit can't you see
Why wouldn't you wake up to reality
I guess backstabbing ain't the way of life for me
Open your mind and close your eyes
To the things that really persist
It's not your hair or the things you wear
That makes someone socially exist
It's hard to find yourself sometimes
Around the people with a cool policy
Why don't you let yourself unwind
And leave that lame society
Superficial society
Superficial society
Superficial society
It's all superfical to me
Superficial society

My true story about myself

People stop ordering me around. I am only one person, yet you treat me like I am twelve people. I can only do one thing at a time. I am sorry I am really slow. I am only a child, I'm still trying to be kid while I have a chance. But, you see you people give me the responsibility of an adult. I am tired of ruining my plans, to do adult things. I don't want a perfect childhood but I would like a nice one where I would be able to do teenager things. I want to be a normal child, even if I am not. You people are driving me crazy with all these do this, do that. I'm sorry, but if this a normal childhood, I rather be dead. I feel like that when I try to talk nobody could hear me. I could scream and nody would hear me. I am invisable. Besides who would want to see a girl who has no mother, a father she never sees, who is a nobody, who can't make a difference, who is hideous, who can't do anything right, who is ashamed for everything she is? Sometimes I think about killing myself, actually I do it a lot. It's just I am so tired of being used. I am used one way or the other. I always wonder what would happen if I die. Would anybody care? Would anybody even notice? NO! Yes I know I made mistakes. but isn't the point of life, is make mistakes and learn from them. I know I made a lot, but I would never take any of them back. I don't care anymore about what other people say. I am just so tired of this. I can't live like this much longer. There has to be a change, and quick. To tell you the truth, I even thought about running away. I don't know where I would go. I do know is that I would never return. I'm sick of having responsibility of an adult, and everybody tells me to be a kid. HOW? When I'm constantly cleaning, cooking, cleaning, cooking, school, school, homework, cleaning, cooking? Can I please have a break once in a while. I am begging you. What did I do to deserve this? I think I have a right to know.

Towards the animal world

Towards the animal world
His foot touches his foot.
He became angry.
Quarrel starts between two.
Such scenes are common at public places.
Human beings is quarrelling each others
On small things to which they must avoid
Cruelty is growing in our society day by day.
Patience is reducing day by day.
Kindness & love among us is decreasing day by day.
Hatred ness is increasing day by day among us.
Which is a very bad thing?
People are ignoring the teachings of Lord Jesus Christ, Lord Buddha & other saints.
It is also a very unfortunate for our human society.
Violence, hate redness & quarrel are common in animal world.
Is human society advancing towards the animal world?

Me And Grandpa Together?

if grandpa were still alive
he could have scolded me to no end
why at this hour
(it is 11: 30 in the morning)
i have not yet done anything for my life

perhaps like chopping wood or pasturing the carabao
or bringing them in their mud hole and keeping them cool
under shady mango trees

or perhaps i could have been in the farm cutting those weeds
feeding the chickens,
and the pigs, and milking cows
and cleaning the pigsty

or climbing coconut trees and gathering all those nuts
and processing them to copra

all these farm dreams of his for me

he never knew what poetry is.

and if he soon discovers that i am into this craft
i know he will call me again some of my favorite names:

lazy-bone
useless ogre
animal
demon
a mouth to feed
another problem of society
rebel
fool
good-for-nothing
i nfidel
enemy of the church
devil
etcetera

but i might be wrong, grandpa loves me and his only wish is that
i must know how to make our farm the best in the village

the farm that produces the fattest cow
the heaviest pig,
the biggest coconut
the longest corn

i'm hardheaded, very hardheaded

if granpa were alive, i could have set a table for two,
for us, one glass of wine,
under the moon, under the garden
soft winds blowing our hair
in an atmosphere of camaraderie
nothing about sons and fathers or grandpas and grandsons

we'll talk perhaps about women, and poetry and

well, the last but not the least of course, our faith still in God.

Men Cleaning Women Cannot Abide

My wife said she was going out to shop,
I knew she'd be gone for hours,
So I cleaned the house from bottom to top,
Then went out and bought her some flowers.

On arriving home she asked what's that smell,
I boasted I had just cleaned the house,
With what she said it's like something from Hell,
It stinks like a hundred dead grouse.

By doing the cleaning I thought you'd be flattered,
She said exactly what have you cleaned,
That really left my giant ego shattered,
How dare she leave me feeling demeaned?

The house is filthy what did you use,
I replied the same stuff as you,
She said it's my intelligence you're trying to abuse,
I'll now have to start cleaning anew.

What have you done to my kitchen floor?
You've got it full of stellar streaks,
The worktops are scratched like an old barn door,
My mop bucket's now full of leaks.

The toilet is filthy I said no it's not,
She said look at the state of the pan,
You've left enough stains to play dot to dot,
As for cleaning you're now on a ban.

She'll be so impressed she'll be singing,
That's what I honestly thought,
Now she's saying I've got the house minging,
Remember good cleaners cannot be bought.

I walked away totally deluded and sad,
It's moan if we don't then moan if we do,
If they had a self- cleaning house they'd still go mad,
I'm going down to the pub for a brew.

The moral of my story affects far more than me,
It's a problem that is truly worldwide,
It's a sexist thing I'm sure all males would agree,

‘' Men Cleaning, Women Cannot Abide ‘'

‘' They think we do it deliberately''

Sunset Over The Mountains

Sunset over the mountains
on this dreamy cool summer
night.

Golden, red and orange
colors God has painted
over you.

Many miles away from
where I stand,
there nature is at
home and so free.

Painting such a picture
as our God has given
His hand print on
His creatures who

live in the mountains
so pure and carefree
on this beautiful
evening.

As I say goodbye
to the sunset and
go in the house
to store this memory
in my mind.

Low Society

A judge a dentist or physician
In this low society
Trade ambition for position
In this low society
Have you heard its in the stars
Next july we collide with mars
Have you heard it in the bars
In this low society
No more pay and lots of leisure
In this low society
Low society
Im just doing what I can
In this low society
But Im an incidental man
In this low society
I give away what others sell
The secrets yours so never tell
cos if you do youll go to hell
Low society
Side by side and always tired
All for one and no-one hired
All thats left is love inspired
Low society
And when the party is complete
And youre still standing on your feet
The taste of victory is sweet
Low society
And darling dont forget
In this low society
To turn off your t.v. set
In this low society
The most important thing at all
In this low society
Is not to stand too tall
In this low society
In this world that never learns
I can see rome as it burns
All the passion and the power
Turns to ash within an hour
No more play and no more pleasure
In this low society

Cleaning House

I have this relationship
with cleaning my house

meticulously

everyday;

work
that is never done.

I have this relationship
with cleaning my house
which is poorly
understood.

All around seem oblivious
to the work
involved
in this home environment
and like despoilers-
clothes get strewn
and dishes left-
for the cleaner of the house;

because I,
unlike them,
can't bear to see my self esteem
cluttered like that
every day
with dirt and dust.
I then take the cloth
and clean what is precious to me.
.
I have this relationship with my house
which even in this,
my family
is poorly understood.

MaMa's Cooking

Thinking of times I would say what's cooking everyday
It's an assortment of goodie things
Chocolate, pies and banana pudding
Enough food and that's Mama's cooking

Thinking of times I would say what's cooking everyday
Apron in hand and lasting impression I didn't want to miss
Everything seem perfect from beginning to end
Enough food and that's Mama's Cooking

Thinking of times I would say what's cooking everyday
Smiling faces and a gentle speech of o.k.
Noone knows how much the void I can't fill
Enough food and that Mama's Cooking

Thinking of times I would say what's cooking everyday
Being polite and sincere would carry the weight
Seemingly enough she has the greater plan
Enough food and that Mama's Cooking ahead

Thinking of times I would say what's cooking everyday
The napkins, plates and never-ending why didn't it last
Noone knows how much the void I can't fill
Enough food and that's Mama's Cooking again

Thinking of times I would say what's cooking everyday
Craving for the turkey and dressing pan
Not to admit, seemed a bit much
Enough Food and that's Mama's Cooking again

So nowadays, I look for the needle in the haystack
Wishing on the times, she would come back
It's been 10 years, since I said thoughs word's
Enough food and that Mama's blessing for us

Missing mom everyday becomes second-nature for me
Enough food, Enough love and One day she'll see
For know I'll take her spirits with me and others will speak
Enough food, Enough love and One day she'll see

How I Escaped From Despair Today

HOW I ESCAPED FROM MY DESPAIR TODAY

No great thought or sudden revelation,
No major meeting or act of friendship,
No revelation of Love,
No great Surprise of Joy,
Nothing great at all-

The simple doing of everyday tasks-
Cleaning the house,
Taking a bus,
Doing a small errand I had promised someone I would,
Being outside
Looking at the world
Where I walked -

Somehow taking my mind from myself,
By buying medicine for my wife
Purchasing fruits in the market-

By doing small things,
Showing myself that I am still capable of action-

By trivial small actions changing my mood
Enabling myself to have enthusiasm for life again-

What It Is They Do

Some folks enjoy doing things.
While other folks 'are' what they enjoy doing!
Some folks enjoy cooking.
And then there are cooks.
Some folks enjoy singing.
And then there are those who sing.
Some folks enjoy writing.
I know I do,
And I've been told I am a writer.
Some folks have no problem,
Producing what they do.
And others will say they don't have the time.
Although they waste it telling folks,
What it is they do...
And yet nothing of that,
Ever gets done!

Sonnet: Why Waste …?

Why waste your voice, extolling men on earth,
Who don’t deserve the smallest praise, you give?
Why waste your life in earthly aims since birth,
When there are better things for which to live?

Why waste your talents, earning name and fame,
When nothing we can take back when we die?
Why waste your precious days in acts of shame,
When we can thank the Lord and God, Most High?

Why waste your labor, building things that break,
When you can share the love of God with all?
Why waste your life in taking risks to make
One skyscraper, that must anytime fall?

Why waste God-given time in sin and vice,
When God expects us to remain soul-wise?

Under the Sunset Sky

Sitting under the sunset sky
Laying around I wonder why
You value me so much more
Than any other you’ve met before
Why you feel so safe by me
And no the others that you see

Sitting under the sunset sky
I find comfort and I sigh
Knowing all is well by you
Having peace in all I do
Watching my troubles fall away
Not wanting then back any day

Sitting under the sunset sky
When you’re sad I want to cry
Feeling you’re sorrow, hurt and pain
When it’s done, all for gain
Drawing away from the past
What’s done is done and shouldn’t last

Sitting under the sunset sky
Only thing to do is deny
The comfort found when we’re alone
Feelings around us never shown
If only to live for how we feel
Soon this love would we seal

Sitting under the sunset sky
Longing for you by and by
Can’t get you off my mind
All the reasons trying to find
Thinking so hard never to know
Why you might care for me so

Sitting under the sunset sky
Hoping you won’t chose another guy
To be the one, to live the life
That good men live, without strife
To be with you is my goal
Are you the match for my soul?

Sitting under the sunset sky
To be with you when I die
Would be the best of any dream
Looking around, you see me beam
I’ve found the one out of all
Now it’s done, this task not small

Burden To Carry

Every man has a burden to carry
And some seem to carry it very well
While others complain, about the burden and strain
And as their fall from grace to all they must tell.
They will blame all others for the life they live
And then brag and lie for pity and shame
They will tell themselves to halt, that it was never their fault
So they figure their loss will also be their gain.

Every man has a burden to carry
And some need to carry that burden alone
As they don't seek help, from no one but themselves
And only GOD will feel their pain or hear them moan.
The burden they have is their right of passage
As they walk through life to become a man
Every step that they take, another worry they will forsake
And truly that a vigilante only he should understand.

Every man has a burden to carry
And so many carry it with a vigor and pride
As they head down the road, with their own life's load
While keeping a happiness and love and joy deep inside.
They live the life that was presented to them
And never once do they complain or quit
They take life in it's stride, they throw their chest forward in pride
And what they lost or will loose, they will never miss.

Every man has a burden to carry
And to see it just look upon a mans face
He will either be wearing a smile, like holding a child
Or else you'll see pain and sorrow and even disgrace.
Just walk in his footsteps at least one time
Take his journey as he run's or walks or even tarries
Then you will feel the weight, that man can't escape
As every man has a burden, that he must carry.

Olden Days

Reminiscing on wanting the ice cream truck to stop near my house
Watching Cinderella and saying thats one friendly mouse

Playing outside for hours and never wanting it to end
Drawing with chalk was the newfound trend

Dreading taking a bath or cleaning up at all
Thinking every adult is extremely tall

Hanging with your parents everyday
Sharing your dolls so all your friends could play

Scraping your knees and thinking life can't get any worse
Loving the idea of eventually having a purse

Smiling over the stupidest things
Thinking you could fly if you just had wings

I'm missing those days as I sit here today
Saying when did life decide to turn out this way?

Ultimate

It's been a while since i've scarcely moved
The earth vibrates through my skinny shoes
I think i heard a voice, not long ago
Stuck in anxiety for tommorow
I think i glimpsed a smile, not long ago
It breaks down, an angelic halo
You're not alone....not alone

Be gone, he fades
I wonder if he'd run away
I miss his dashing steps
I miss his shiny compliments
Yesterdays without an address
The ultimate sunset...
My ultimate sunset....

Oh, inhaling obsession
Fading depression
I turn my lights on,
Denying aggression

And i run as fast as the horizon
While the evening's slowly rising
I reach the skies, with opened eyes
To catch the stars of different types
Not the rare one caught....yet
The ultimate sunset....
My ultimate sunset....

You're not alone...
Im here on my own...
Still i think im not alone...
As i lie my head on top of grass...
To praise the sky and everything vast...
Even with a wounded back....
I think im just going to relax.....
To watch this view...
Displaying you.....
The ultimate sunset
My ultimate sunset
And the sunrise that's yet to come...
Oh, my sunrise that's yet to come...

Oh, i will be waiting right here.....
Where you crawl beneath my fears....
A pulse or a shiver.....
Sweet rather than bitter....
Oh, i will be waiting for once.....
I will be watching the skies
I will be watching this life
For the ultimate sunrise....
My ultimate sunrise to come....

My Old Hometown

Long before it became a city-like,
The chirps of the crickets at night,
And the crows of the roosters at dawn,
Sunrise, mid-sun, sunset,
Is how we told time
In this place now I call it
My old hometown
So before sunrise melts the morning mists,
‘Till it sets across the mountains,
We farmed as hard as we could,
But no matter how poor life is,
This place was my paradise.
Like the crowns of acacia and tamarind trees
And the arcs of bamboo poles
That looks like a tunnel to the south
Made this place enchanting to my memories,
Down by the valley onward to the northwest,
Along the cradle of its crystal lake,
With choir of birds and scents of ilang-ilang,
There! It remained the life of my childhood.

Banog Norte is a small barrio of Bani in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines. Now, I also call it ‘the corner-end part of the world’ simply because it lies onto the very western tip of Central Luzon.
Amid the rice field, where our small house made of cogon roof, bamboo walls, and bamboo floors, I was born [here] not knowing how mother looked like. Thereby, the chirps of the crickets at night were my lullabies.
During my childhood, there was nothing more I enjoyed than getting soaked in the carabaos’ puddle or ride on their back elsewhere. Swimming was beyond my playful interest; thus, the choir of birds, who sang to the river, and the scents of rice straws in me have all captured in my solitude.
