Beyond The Horizon
Yonder in the West,
Just before it sets,
Sun lingers, as if to cast one last look
Over what it illumined through the day.
Soon the sun shall bury itself,
Deep down the horizon in the West,
As if to rest;
And rise again to illumine-
What it had illumined earlier-
And again and again and again......
And when I look into the mirror,
And see how time has greyed over my head,
Deep in my minds eye
I find myself-
Time ravaged and a lonely soul-

A Black phenomenal man
In the beginning God made him very special, then he blow into his body life and there he stood and, came forth. His heart beat was like the sounds of an Africa drum when played. He was made to be strong in mind, soul, and body. From birth he was gifted talents for all eyes and ears to bare witness that something great was made. He became the apple of Gods eye, God gave him dominion in his hand, That's Gods plan for him to carry out a promise that was planted before he step out his mothers womb a vision that will change the nations course of history. Phenomenal he is, black bold, and beautiful, on thee inside, intelligent, far beyond his time of his days as slave. Now that's why the slave master could not truly brake his spirt. Their may have been blood shed of words of heart that landed on the grounds to touch the graves of the formal slaves that paved the way, with An awaking of change is to take place. They tried to stop him by killing him, and trying to destroy the dream, the vision, the gift that was placed in him. He is a Black phenomenal Great man made to take over! to rule in places that great minds before him can't even imagine that day would ever come. breathe like you just got an A in class
and you have not studied all year, so you don't know how you passed
inhale, exhale, gasp
breathe like its 5pm Friday afternoon
like your 7 yrs old sitting in front of your television watching Saturday cartoons
breathe like a newborn fresh from his mothers womb
breathe, breathe, breathe,
breathe like your favorite team just won the big game
like the girl you've had a crush on actually knows your name
breathe like the guy you've been eying feels the same
like you'll never again feel pain
breathe like the sun just parted the rain
breathe like the whole world has gone crazy
and your the only one left sane

A Phenomenal Man
Most handsome men do wonder where my secret lies!
I’m not so dashing – framed like model men;
When I reveal to them the truth,
They think I am dishonest.
I then explain:
It’s in the strength of my shoulders,
The bulk of my muscles,
The mode of my walk,
The way I talk,
I am a man
Phenomenally.
A Phenomenal man,
That’s me.
When I enter a place,
With cool an attitude,
And near a woman,
All ladies eye my looks,
Or stare at me in awe.
And throng around amused
Like dazed an audience.
I then explain:
It’s the depth of my eyes,
The movement of my lips,
My hand gestures,
And body language.
I am a man
Phenomenally.
A Phenomenal man,
That’s me.
Women do always wonder
What’s the magic in me.
Despite their try,
They cannot unravel my
Hidden mystery.
When I attempt to convince them,
They still are unable to see.
I then explain:
It's in my stately posture,
My alluring smile,
My biceps’ size,
My kissing style.
I am a man,
Phenomenally.
A Phenomenal man,
That's me.
Now you can all well understand
Just why my face looks bright.
I have the guts to talk about
All things or even fight.
When you watch me marching,
It is a graceful flight.
I then explain:
It's in the weight of my bones,
My facial, body hair,
The clasp of my fist,
The things I dare,

All Of These Dreams
There is a place on the mountain near by
Deep in a cave but its up rather high
There in the darkness I safely concealed
All of the dreams that you never revealed
And if you go there, and after you do
All of these dreams would be yours to persue
The rest of your lifetime, devoid of a care
If you keep your eyes open, you may find yourself there
Such is the promise, such is the curse
You could just live your life better or worse
Knowing the casual dreams up on that hill
Beckons and sways but won't bend to your will
You might find a river under a mountain that
feeds a remote, subteranian fountain
drink from this taste just a hint of a dream
that some how leads in to the underground stream
And if you go there, and after you do
All of these dreams would be yours to persue
