Óhjákvæmilegur

You haven’t experienced riding in a car meeting a ten-wheeler truck
Surprisingly on a curve
And the driver beside you slept,

You see the truck approaching the car
Where you are inside it,

Something sure singles you out
The unalterable, the inevitable
The collision that could not be evaded,

In that experience, you know what
Inevitable was, you closed your eyes

It was a miracle
You survived.

Her Indifference

she wants to end the journey
with me
i do not want to end it yet
she sits beside me
and i am pushed to the side
my hands are tied
and the steering wheel is free
she steps on the gasoline
to a speed of 180
on the road to nowhere

meanwhile another truck is coming
at a fast speed
to us
in an inevitable collision

she does not speak a word
neither will she scream at this
i pray to escape
from what she calls as
inevitability.

Truck Drivin Man

(ronnie vanzant -- ed king)
Well hes truckin on down from memphis
Cruisin down to new orleans
Tonight he sleeps alone with a cajun queen
Well theres smoke from the stacks a-blowin
And he dont care where hes goin
The only time he feels right is when hes rollin
Hes got roadmaps in his hand
Lord, drivin just as hard as he can
Trying to dodge them scales and the man
Well Im talkin about
Truck drivin man
Yea hell always give ya, the best that he can.
White cups and coffee, lord yea
Its all that he needs
And hes all right by me
Truck drivin man
Truck on
Truck driver
Shift your gears
Hes got ladies up in north dakota
From the keys man, to minnesota
And he loves each and every one, least thats what hes told em
Lord, flannel shirts and blue jeans
Truck stops are routine
Tonight he sleeps alone with a cajun queen
Well Im talkin about
Truck drivin man
Yea hell always give ya, the best that he can.
White cups and coffee, lord yea
Its all that he needs
And hes all right by me
Truck drivin man
Guitar
Truck driver
Well hes truckin on down from memphis
Cruisin down to new orleans
Tonight he sleeps alone with a cajun queen
Well theres smoke from the stacks a-blowin
And he dont care where hes goin
The only time he feels right is when hes rollin
Well Im talkin about
Truck drivin man
Yea hell always give ya, the best that he can.
White cups and coffee, lord yea
Its all that he needs
And hes all right by me
Truck drivin man
I said hes all right by me
Truck drivin man
I said hes all right by me
Truck drivin man
Play the guitar

Knocked And Ran

He, on a road, was standing
Ignorant of the road-laws.
He was in his tattered clothes;
A poor village child he was.

I was sitting in a car
On the left of the driver.
When the car came near the child,
It was slowed by the driver.

He sounded aloud the horn,
But the child did not it care.
The child, in his tattered clothes,
Remained standing mutely there.

He was aping the gesture
Of the driver of the car.
How joyful in his action,
As if he were in the car!

He was moving round his arms
In driving his unreal car.
The driver, taking the side,
Safely steered his real car.

But a truck from the front side
Down the road speedily ran.
The child, in his tattered clothes,
The truck driver knocked and ran.

The Worst Enemy...

you were behind me and
i looked back at you
you evaded me like we were
two ships in an inevitable
collision.

I am not afraid.

Got no lighthouse or
Port to land this small ship.

You have a continent
Scattered islands
You own lighthouses
Fierce lights and
Friend of the storms.

I am never afraid of you.
I have nothing to lose.

You walk ahead of me
And i hear your laughter.

You are the tower
Her God, and she is my wife.

I am still not afraid at you
I can look at you direct to the eye.

Soon you will die.
That is His promise.

Truck Drivin Song

Im drivin a truck
Drivin a big ol truck
Pedal to the metal, hope I dont run out of luck
Rollin down the highway until the break of dawn
Drivin a truck with my high heels on
My diesel rig is northward bound
Its time to put that hammer down
Just watchin as the miles go flyin by
Im ridin twenty tons of steel
But its sure hard to hold the wheel
While Im waiting for my nails to dry
Oh, I always gotta check my lipstick in that rear view mirror
And my pink angora sweater fits so tight
Im jammin gears and haulin freight
Well, I sure hope my seams are straight
Lord, dont let my mascara run tonight
Because Im drivin a truck
Drivin a big ol truck
Smokeys on my tail and my accelerators stuck
Got these eighteen wheels-a-rollin until the break of dawn
Drivin a truck with my high heels on
Oh, I dont mind when my crotchless panties creep right up on me
And my nipple rings dont bother me too much
But when I hit those big speed bumps
My darling little rhinestone pumps
Keep slippin off the mother-lovin clutch
But still Im drivin a truck
Drivin a big ol truck
Headin down the interstate, just tryin to make a buck
Wearin feather boas with sequins and chiffon
While Im drivin a truck with my high heels on
Im drivin a truck
Drivin a truck
Got a load to carry and some eyebrows left to pluck
And Im late for my appointment down at my hair salon
So Ill be drivin a truck with my high heels on

The Secret Life Of Plants

I cant conceive the nucleus of all
Begins inside a tiny seed
And what we think as insignificant
Provides the purest air we breathe
But who am I to doubt or question the inevitable being
For these are but a few discoveries
We find inside the secret life of plants
A species smaller than the eye can see
Or larger than most living things
And yet we take from it without consent
Our shelter, food, habilment
But who am I to doubt or question the inevitable being
For these are but a few discoveries
Wwe find inside the secret life of plants
But far too many give them in return
A stomp, cut, drown, or burn
As is theyre nothing
But if you ask yourself where would you be
Without them you will find you would not
And some believe antennas are their leaves
That spans beyond our galaxy
Theyve been, they are and probably will be
Who are the mediocrity
But who am I to doubt or question the inevitable being
For these are but a few discoveries
We find inside the secret life of plants
For these are but a few discoveries
We find inside the secret life of plants

Give It to Them Their Way

Give it to them.
Their way.
Let them have it.
Their way.
Keep your mouth shut.
Let them get hit,
By the approaching truck.
And if they survive...
Don't even offer to help them get up,
Off their butts!
Your kindness was given once before.
Remember then,
When you were ignored?
Remember when you were first at their aid?
And you were surprised they gave to you 'shade'?
Remember when you gave your last dollar from your pocket?
And when you needed them...
You never heard from them again?
And now they appear to ask what you think!
About a situation,
That has them on the edge.
Sitting on the brink!

And there is no need...
For you to be used,
Or abused...
As they please!

Golden Balls

Red Chevy truck comes passing by,

with gold balls hanging bouncing

in the sky.

Truck zooms around all cars

without a care.

Golden balls wagging

in the air.

Now I heard of a comedian

talking of these “golden balls”

on stage,

She said “Why is “gold balls” all the rage? ”

Guys real balls are ugly enough,

looking at them hanging outside

a car or a truck

makes you shiver inside,

I think I would rather look at

something else when I drive.'

Coal-Truck

I am a coal-truck
Carrying gold dust.
Someone threw some
Coal-dust upon
My gold-dust.

I am a coal-truck
In a gold mine.
Someone struck a coal vein
And piled me full in vain.

I am a coal-truck
Covered in subterranean dust.
Someone shovelled my soil
And found an ancient bone
All coiled.

I am a coal-truck
Waiting for the rain.
The sun is my rail
The night my shed.

I am a coal-truck
Rumbling all the way.
Wash me in the rain-storm
And fill me full of coke
Until I choke.

Rusted, Busted But Will Not Give Up

The car stalls.
And...
Wheels on it seems corrupted,
By a collection of dust...
No one has thought,
To have ever cleaned...
The build up of muck,
That has it stuck.

Rusted, busted but will not give up,
Are those riding inside...
Demanding from the driver,
To push!
While those riding inside decide,
If it is to their benefit...
To assist the driver,
With either a push or a pull.

OR...
Maybe someone should consider,
Perhaps there is a need for gas.
And...
Who should pay the price.

Country Comfort

Soon the pines will be falling everywhere
As the village children fight each other for their share
And the six-o-nine goes roaring past the creek
As Deacon Lee prepares his sermon for next week
I saw Grandma yesterday down at the store
Well she's really doing fine for eighty-four
And she asked me if sometime I could fix her barn
The poor old girl she needs a hand to run that farm
Chorus:
And it's good old country comfort in my bones
It's the sweetest sound these ears have ever known
It's just an old-fashioned feeling fully-grown
Country comfort and a truck that's goin' back home
Oh it's goin' back home
Down at the well they've got a new machine
The foreman says it'll cut manpower by fifteen
"Hey but that ain't natural" old Clay would say
You see he's a horse-drawn man until his dying day
(REPEAT CHORUS TWICE)
Country comfort and a truck that's goin' back home
Whoa, it's goin' back home
Hey take me back home
And a truck, and a truck that's goin' back home
Any truck

White Truck Speeds By

I’m driving down Federal on the way to my new home,
I sense that I am not alone.
I look up to see a truck following me,
Or so I thought-
Taking a right I turn down 6th Ave.
I stop in Wallgreens parking lot.
I go through all my stuff that I packed,
I get in my car and I get back on track.
Then as I was sitting at the light,
I notice Guy’s truck real shiny and bright.
His white truck passes and roars,
I see the name of his business on his side doors.
I thought do I text him or not?
Looks like he speed so he won’t get caught.
Caught by me seeing him drive by,
Oh, well I decide to call it a night.

What Bothers You

got a new car
and you are driving it
at the road
towards the boulevard
on such a clear day
and then suddenly
another car comes
rushing
from the north of your
direction
and then the inevitable happens

bang! the collision occurs
the car is smashed
like a paper cone

what must bother you
you are still alive.
