Inward Thoughts of an Old Husband

Gifts of clothing and toys, just because
we really need to give.

Trying to keep up with a fast crawling baby.
(a niece actually, for we can never
have one)

The end of the biannual clothing rearranging/swapping/packing/organizing
(things that she is learning
to offer to the neighborhood
sense of community) .

McDonald’s Caramel Frappé
(she is getting fatter
everyday but how can
she help it?)

Caramel Kisses (feat. 112)

[Faith Evans]
[Chorus]
Caramel kisses you send my way
I won't complain, just don't go away -
Caramel kisses you send my way
I won't complain, just don't go away
You made my heart melt the other day
When we laid by the fire in the middle of May
It was so romantic I'll say
When you gave me your love in your caramel way
[Chorus]
Many times before and many times again
You'll recall to me the reasons why
You are more than my friend
It's not only because you were there for my kids
It's the simple things like your caramel kiss
[112]
Living life with you can be so right
Loving you through the night
Your love is so amazing, baby
Oh, never have I felt a love like this
Baby, I can't resist
Something about your kiss
Something about your kiss
[Chorus]
Caramel kisses don't go away
Caramel kisses baby, don't go away
Caramel kisses don't go away
Caramel kisses baby, don't go away
Caramel kisses don't go away
Caramel kisses baby, don't go away
[Chorus till fade...]

There's a way in which you can look at clothing as your outer skin. And because you were discriminated against because of your complexion, the way in which you could overcome that was through the way in which you presented yourself with your clothing.

What It Can't Buy

what it can't buy

it will never be able smother you in kisses
it can't curl up next to you for added warmth
it won't whisper..ssshhh everything will be ok
it isn't going to sit with you and watch your children play

money will never hold your hand and walk with you
money can't bring you breakfast in bed
money won't keep darkness away by turning on a light
money isn't going to tuck you in at night

a job will never understand your worries
a job can't conceive of your fears
a job won't hold you tight
a job isn't mindful of your plight

clothing will never pray for your safety
clothing can't break bread with you
clothing won't take away your pain
clothing isn't going to soothe you when you go insane

it will not make a house a home
it can't force people to like you
it won't care if your living well
it isn't going to wonder what little soul you sell

money, job, fortune, and fame
all a shallow game
meaning nothing if no one
holds dearly to your name

Houseful Of Nothing

Talking to your lover
On a non existent phone
Houseful of nothing
The joyous conversation
Of a creature quite alone
Houseful of nothing
The whir of passing traffic
The sighing of the breeze
Houseful of nothing
The awareness of a culture
That is fading by degrees
Houseful of nothing
A hint of a shadow
Or a picture by the door
Houseful of nothing
The creak of a staircase
Or the flexing of the floor
Houseful of nothing
The light spreading even
Neither glaring nor too dark
Houseful of nothing
All finished had blended
Leaving surface with no mark
Houseful of nothing
One time in a lifetime
Understand just what you own
No-one
Owns the sunshine
And possession is a stone
One time in a lifetime
Try to glimpse just who you are
All that learning
All those ages
Have you really come so far?
The traces of a perfume
Half-remembered from the past
Houseful of nothing
The ringing of a catchphrase
From a cherished telecast
Houseful of nothing
Nothing in the corner
Nothing on the wall
Houseful of nothing
It makes you laugh to think
That there were ever things at all
Houseful of nothing
One time in a lifetime
Will you use the things you know
Will you passing
Make a difference
Oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oo
Will you foster, will you sow
One time in a lifetime
Make a list of all you own
And when you are gone
What will it do for you, baby?
Hey hey hey hey hey hey
You took my family
Give it back give it back
You took the heart of me
Give it back give it back
You took my dignity
Give it back
Remember society
Bring it back bring it back
Bring it back
Sense of community
Bring it back bring it back
Bring it back
Lost opportunity
Bring it back bring it back
Bring it back
Mercy and charity
Bring it back
Bring it bring it bring it bring it back
One time in a lifetime
Understand just what you own
No-one owns the sunshine
And possession is a stone
One time
Remember society
In a lifetime
Bring it back
Try to glimpse just who you are
All that learning
Sense of community
All those ages
Bring it back
Have you really come so far?
Lost opportunity
Bring it back
Mercy and charity
Bring it back
One time in a lifetime
Try to glimpse just who you are
All that learning
All those ages
Have you really come so far?
Bring it bring it bring it bring it back
Bring it back
One time in a lifetime
Mercy and charity
Bring it back

Fatter

Fatter, fatter
Shake n bake, fatter
Shake n bake, fatter
Fatter
Corndogs, pizza, coca cola
Yogurt, butterscotch, granola
Look at me, Im fatter
Im fatter, Im fatter
Friends all gather round me
My enemies surround me
Yelling fatso, fatso, fatso
Ive eaten at every single greasy spoon on seventh avenue
Thats right, Im fatter
Dont you know my weight is going up, up, up, up, up
I tell you, this turkey sure is tough
Tough, tough, tough, tough, tough, tough
They got pizza on the west side
French fries up town
Corn dogs deep fried in batter
Im fatter
Go ahead, bite the big apple
Dont mind the calories
Pile it on my platter
Im fatter
Pile it up, pile it high up

CHRISTmas or GIFTmas?

Jolly old St. Nicholas,
lean your ear this way.
There's something to be said
for the Santa role you play.

You bring happiness to children
with bikes, and dolls and toys,
and instill the Christmas spirit
into grown-up girls and boys.

But you know the greatest gift
isn't found upon your sled,
and it isn't all the sugar plumbs
that dance in children's heads.

It is not one brought by Dasher,
or by Donner, or by Dancer.
It came wrapped in swaddling clothing.
Even Santa knows the answer.

The greatest gift is Jesus Christ.
The Savior of the earth.
And Christmas is the special day
we celebrate His birth

Christ was born into the world
and taught us all He could.
He knows if we've been good or bad,
and hopes we'll all be good.

Santa, we'll enjoy the gifts
that on Christmas come our way
but it's not gifts, …It's Christ the Lord,
we celebrate this day!

Samsonite Man

I don't wanna do this over and over
(verse 1)
He's a man so full of style and grace
Any woman being impressed
Takes a smile and paints it on your face
Makes you feel like you've been blessed
Promises things so special
Seems to come right from a song
Soon as you begin to feel secure
Turn around and he is gone
(chorus)
Packing his bags, gotta go, gotta go
Packing his bags,gotta go
He's a Samsonite Man
(verse 2)
Maybe he is just a rollin stone
Wandering from here to there
Searching for a place to call his home
Wonder if he even cares
So many years of heartache and pain
That's all you seem to know him for
Is it you, or is it he to blame?
Whenever he walks out your door
(chorus)
Packing his bags, gotta go, gotta go
Packing his bags,gotta go
He's a Samsonite Man
Where you're always running to, away from me?
(bridge)
If the wind blows you in my direction
You'd come through the rendezvous
Forget about your good attention
Leave me lonely and confused
Mr.Samsonite pack a bag
That is my suggestion
From here on out you will be leaving
My discretion yeah
So I know the game baby
And it will never be the same (no no no no no)
cause now I got him
(chorus)
Packing his bags, gotta go, gotta go
Packing his bags, gotta go, gotta go
Packing his bags, gotta go, gotta go (Now you gotta go)
Packing his bags, gotta go (I can't take it no more)
Packing his bags, gotta go, gotta go (What do I love him for)
Packing his bags,gotta go
He's a Samsonite Man
Why don't you just go
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, woah woah yeah yeah
You can't hurt me no more baby
You can't touch me
You can't hurt me no more baby
Gotta go, gotta go
Pack your bag, pack it up
Gotta go, hit the road Jack
You ain't gotta go home, but you can get the hell outta here

Pixie Caramel Skies

I love Pixie Caramel, because
it’s the chewiest, grooviest, sweet
on the street; I crave to eat.
Here’s the habit; reach out; grab it.

Pixie Caramel, is the greatest,
you’ll love the original and the latest.
Try it now, do yourself a favour,
Pixie Caramel, the taste to savour.

Pixie Caramel, the one to try,
run, run; go out and buy.
You must have it! Chew it! Or die!
Happiness enfolds - Pixie Caramel Skies.

Missing You

Sitting here thinking about you
And all the things we used to do
I never thought that I would lose you
Cause you were always my boo
Sitting here wondering where we
Wonderin where we went wrong
Cause now Im here all alone
Wishing youd come back home, so tell me
Why, why, whyd you have to go away
Got me missing you everyday
Baby tell me why, why, whyd you have to go away
Got me missing you everyday
Everyday Im missing you
I dont understand why you left, baby what didnt I do?
Wasnt I always there for you and wasnt I good to you?
How was I to know something was wrong,
Baby I cant read minds
All you had to do was tell me
But you kept it all inside
Tell me why, why, whyd you have to go away got me missing you everyday
Baby, tell me why, why, whyd you have to go away got me missing you everyday
Everyday Im missing you
Girl Ill never find another,
Another one to take your place
Cause you were so, so good to me baby
And you kept the smile upon my face
And Im on my bended knee and Im crying, crying wont you come back to me
To me cause you mean the world to me
Why, why, whyd you have to go away got me missing you everyday
Oh tell me why, why, whyd you have to go away got me missing you everyday
Im missing you
Why, why, go away everyday
Why, why, go away everyday Im missing you
Why, why, go away everyday

Girls Shopping Birthday Wish

I’d love to give you jewelry, from necklaces to rings
Bracelets, pins and pendants, sparkly kinds of things
I’d love to give you clothing from shirts and skirts and shoes
I’d love to take you shopping, so you can get whatever you choose

But your daddy told me not to, I pleaded with him hard
But he insisted he’d buy you those things, so I’m sending you this card.

Wearing A Shirt

It is better to wear a shirt to protect your happiness,
The wearing of an item of clothing like this one is immense.
We stagger and wait more than others, wearing shirts and trousers,
Still this happened a long time ago, once when the sea opened.
The land was for joyous fuelling, readying with swords and weapons,
By the way, it was clothing on the way home.
It was bitter so much like sour fruit, inside was a yearning,
Too late was the bereavement of a shirt.
The immense puzzle was solved on the way home,
A vehicle stuns us amazingly in the worst possible touch.

A fine woman wants a man who will make her laugh, give her compliments, give her his time, give her simple gifts but from the soul, to encourage her passions, to believe in her, to be kind to her and to everyone around her, to love her emotionally. Because she also wants to offer him the same things.

School-Community

School is a community which surrounds you most
A place where teachers seem somewhat like ghosts
Believing that it’s a chance for new friends
But the community also introduces new ends

You believe that you yourself can never be true
To reside into acting into someone that isn't you
The school community soon becoming fake
Inside, many people's hearts begin to ache

We believe in not showing our true selves
The community telling to dig deep in ourselves
Slowly we start believing that freedom is forbidden
But does school truly want ourselves to remain hidden?

Friendships can lead to you being cut down
We sometimes wish this community wasn't around
But then we realise not to defy the real world
And that the real truth is being unfurled

This community teaches us to stand on our own feet
And without this test we shall still remain incomplete
The teachings is something that no one seems to share
In the real world these are teachings we'll need out there

School is a place where there are things we must learn
Otherwise the community outside will cause us to return
The community outside is the place we are yearning
But this community is the place we are still learning…

Crouching Low

Two men in ragged clothing
sat beside the road
alert and on the hunt.
Each watched a different direction
looking for game to emerge.
One espied a small bird
unknown to either of them
and its strutting attracted them.

' That bird, ' one man says
'we could kill and eat.
It does not look that fast
and would be easy prey.'

'Well it could work, ' the other man said
'but if we don't hunt him and instead capture him
we could keep him as a pet.'

'What good would that do? ' said the first man.
'We don't need pets.'
'No, no' said the second man
'lets keep the bird
and take its eggs and eat the babies! '

'Now 'said the first man' that makes sense.
The Bird listening to all this with his super hearing
crouched low and muttered 'Barbarians.'

Here comes the Age of the Carnivores.

Slow Down

Well come on pretty baby won't you walk with me
Come on pretty baby won't you talk with me
Come on pretty baby give me one more chance
Try to save our romance
Chorus:
Slow down
Baby now you're moving way too fast
You've got to give me a little lovin'
Five me a little lovin'
If you want our love to last
Well I tried to take you home baby after school
Carry your books home too
I need your lovin' baby oh so fast
The best little woman I ever had
Chorus:
Slow down
Baby now you're moving way too fast
You've got to give me a little lovin'
give me a little lovin'
If you want our love to last
Knock me down
Step on my face
Slander my name all over the place
Do anything that you want to do
What the hell you tryin' to do
Chorus:
Slow down
Baby now you're moving way too fast
You've got to give me a little lovin'
give me a little lovin'
If you want our love to last.......
(just rappin' and rollin')
