Fulfillment
to write without thinking
without really thinking much or
counting the cost
the time wasted
and then to wonder what was it that was written
and then to be told that
what was written was true and that it has changed the life of
the reader....

An Apology To The Reader Who Has Written Me A Message I Have Not Answered
AN APOLOGY TO THE READER WHO HAS WRITTEN A MESSAGE TO ME I HAVE NOT ANSWERED
The real apology is not this poem
It is one by one
Reader by reader
Answering each one
Who has ever written me.
It is reading all the poems of others
I do not want to say
A ‘real no’ or a ‘false yes’ to.
It is opening myself
To perhaps a true friend
To perhaps one whose writing
I see better than my own.
The real apology
Is in opening up to the poems of the many unknown others.
Will I do this
Will I give it the time
When I already am guilty
Of not using my limited time
To correct my past work?
Dear Reader,
I apologize, I do not know.

Thinking Process..
i go back to the pages
and i know i am shocking perhaps to all of you
having written much on some things that
perhaps i have not thought of so well...
but they are there and they confront me
that i own them and i feel a little bit awkward
when and how have i written these
matters of the heart
and soul and affection and
(well,) alienation and
stressful situations, not counting
the reality of depressing
expressions in the form of
concealed metaphoric devices,
at any rate, i accept this kind of ability to
just be writing for no purpose, except to express,
for simply writing what i must say
without so much thinking that in the future
i may regret what
ought not to be written...
well, this is it, this is life, and this is what is it
all about...a river simply flowing to the sea
what more? what should it be?

Many Can Teach Few Can Write
many can teach and be good teachers
some even aspiring excellent teachers
but few can image write wondrous words
who are now waiting among
those who have words worth writing
words waiting to be written?
writing will cost much
demanded much
then will cost yet more
a small fortune in wages
wages spent not made
still to be spent and yet
accumulative cost is nothing
for there are hunger hearts
minds waiting for these words
looking even searching
for quest sought words
therefore it matters not
if for a specific poem
or passage paragraph
only a few or one is searching
these thoughts
are important
still must be written
some of what we write
even much of what we write
is of no prime importance
but that small portion
which is important
that tiny potent seed
which is important
must be written
translate many can translate
some even translate
almost perfectly precise
but those writing
original thoughts
are far more precious
and their words
will also in their time
be sought after read
but there time is not yet
that which is not
written cannot
be read
therefore write
write
and write well

The Last Poem Was Written Again And Again
THE LAST POEM WAS WRITTEN AGAIN AND AGAIN
The last poem was written again and again
It said ‘All the poems have been written. There is no new poem to write.’
Writing it again now
I wonder how I dare demand the attention
Of any possible reader.
Aren’t they all as fed up with me
As I sometimes am with myself?

A Girl Called Passion
Dreaming my life one day at a time,
Thinking of what I did was wrong or insane.
Thinking of you how you were always so true,
I know you was always in motions,
And someone told me you name is passion.
So I want you to know that I was born to love you,
Each day of my life is meant to be looking at the moon.
Love is like magic and it always will be,
My love still remains strong as never did.
Love works in ways that are passion and strange,
And there's nothing in life that love cannot change.
Passion can transform you Into beauty and splendour,
Your sweetness and grace can be always tender.
Your passion is unselfish, understanding and kind,
I love you with my heart and with my mind.
Your passion is the answer that everyone seeks,
Passion is the language, that every everyone speaks.
Dreaming my life one day at a time,
Thinking of what I did was wrong or insane.
Thinking of you how you were always so true,
I know you was always in motions,
And someone told me you name is passion.

Thinking Man's Blues
i was thinking about Jesus
i was thinking about robbing a bank
thinking about the band a playin'
while the Titanic sank
thinking 'bout salvation
thinking about getting free
thinking and a wondering
do you ever think about me?
i was thinking about generations
i was thinking about saving grace
i was thinking about truth and lies
thinking about flesh and lace
thinking about redemption
and rivers running to the sea
thinking and a wondering
do you ever think about me?
i was thinking about the Dharma
'bout Martin Luther King
thinking about Merle Haggard

The Best Poem
when you plant a seed
in the ground, and
water it, work it, weed it
till it grows... you've written
the best poem you'll ever write.
when you make a baby,
waiting and planning for birth;
and you raise this child to adulthood
with respect... you've written
the best poem you'll ever write.
when you live your life
working honestly, giving
all that you are and can be,
never holding back... you've written
the best poem you'll ever write.
when you go to death openly
with no regrets, not clinging
to dreams that were not real,
owning no one... you've written
the best poem you'll ever write.

Have A Look
Mm, yeah, yeah, mm
Never thought that youd be mine.
I just stayed there to be kind.
Now you say that youre leaving me,
Well I dont really care,
I have other things on my mind.
Then when you tell me to just get out,
Well this isnt just your house.
Well I thought I sort of told you,
I guess you didnt listen baby.
Now that Im looking for your time,
Just to see if Im on your mind,
I think were really over now.
I saw your girlfriend,
You and her seem to be fine.
Now that we are through,
I realise I want you.
I try to get you back,
But you dont need me.
Baby, what you thinking now baby?
Ooh baby, have a look, have a look,
Look at me.
Baby, what you thinking now baby?
Ooh baby, I took a change now,
Baby, baby, baby, baby.
I know, I know that Ive done somethings wrong.
I never left cause I wasnt strong.
Now that were over,
I dont think that I could even go on.
Well Ive changed my naughty ways.
Well, Im telling you Ive changed.
Just come back and stop the crap.
Work it out with me.
Well now that we are through,
I realise I want, I want you.
I try to get you back,
But you dont need me.
Baby, what you thinking now baby?
Ooh baby, have a look, have a look,
Look at me.
Baby, what you thinking now baby?
Ooh baby, I took a change now.
Baby, baby, baby, baby.
I changed my mind,
I really changed everything that I had.
Im even walking towards you now,
And you wont look at me,
And Im feeling really used up.
Yeah, Im getting really mad about it.
I changed everything for you,
And only for you.
You wont even look at, look at me.
Oh yeah,
Look at me.
Yeah.
I know you told your friends Im a bitch.
And when we were together,
I didnt care a bit.
But now that were over,
I am trying hard
To make you see that I exist.
Well, its a fact.
I need you,
I want you back.
Just change your mind, and well be fine,
Work it out with me.
Now that we are through,
I realise I want you more.
I try to get you back,
But you dont need me,
Baby, what you thinking now baby?
Ooh baby, have a look, have a look,
Look at me.
Baby, what you thinking now baby?
Ooh baby, I took a change now.
Baby, baby, baby, baby.
Baby, what you thinking now baby?
What you think now baby?
Have a look, have a look,
Look at me,
Baby

I'll Be Thinking Of You
I’ll be thinking of you
In all the hustle of Christmas day
I’ll be thinking of you in all I do or say.
I’ll be thinking of you
Each time a song is sung
I’ll think of you each time
A Christmas bell is rung.
I’ll be thinking of you
In this hot Texas weather
I’ll be thinking of you
And wishing we were together.
I’ll be thinking of you each time
I hear “A Blue Christmas” being played
I’ll be thinking of you
When new Christmas memories are being made.
I’ll be thinking of you when I read
About how our Saviour came
And because of that first Christmas night long ago
Our lives will never be the same.
I’ll be thinking of you
In the glow of the Christmas lights
And I’ll be hoping and praying
You have a Christmas of white.
I’ll be thinking of you
Each time I see an angel on a tree
And I’ll thank God he sent
Someone special, like you, to me.

Touche D'Amour
(3.30)
Somewhere in this crazy night
With all this noise, and all this light
I'm out upon the crowded street
I play the game and I keep the beat
Woo-oo
But I'm thinking of you
Woo-oo
But I'm thinking of you
And I remember the summer days
Your strenght and yet your gentle ways
Now I'm back on the crowded street
Through the darker days I keep the beat
Woo-oo
But I'm thinking of you
Woo-oo
But I'm thinking of you
Through all the grey, I see skies of blue
I close my eyes cause I'm thinking of you
And I pray to god, that what we had
We will have again someday
So I telephoned to tell you what
I'd hoped you'd like to hear me say
Woo-oo
But I'm thinking of you
Woo-oo
But I'm thinking of you

All This Time
All this time you kept distance
Thinking that I won’t know you
All this time you watched me from the distance
Thinking that I’d humiliate you
All this time you were following me
Thinking that I won’t need your company
All this time you were hesitating to call me
Thinking that I won’t reply you
All this time you were bearing this pain
Thinking that I don’t have feelings for you
All this time you loved me
Thinking that I’d hate you
At last when the time came
It’s me who’s thinking

Sometimes I Wonder
at this moment, when i begin to write again
another set of poems
(i stop for a while, away from official matters
this business of the mind thinking
clearly and logically, setting aside premises
and dogmas and
theorems, not wanting any proof of my sanity
and reasonableness
i relax a bit, on some matters of the heart
the emotions all colored wildly like a dream
a wet dream, to be specific....
sometimes i ask, if i can still write about
libido, the wanton directionless cravings of the thighs
and the caprices of the fingers...
i get lost with reason and i become as firm as an
iron rod, shunning feelings, oh, how do i like to be a rock?
it is sad to be numb. I detest when this happens
as a matter of everyday business, and i become tense
if at all, i have ceased to be human, or if i have changed
myself suddenly to be nothing but a cabinet or a desk
or a mess in front of my eyes...
i daydream, once i was a young man, once i was so carefree
that was the time when poetry was vibrating like a
man's flesh between my legs...
i miss the river and the baths and the fish swimming under my belly.
i miss the songs of the frogs, how they prayed for rain and how
the celebrate when it comes.
i miss the summer months of April and May when love was as
abundant as bees.
I miss you. Your gaze burns me.
Your kiss makes me feel so alive.
thinking about you, yes, about love in abundance, and then
oh, the ecstasy of words.
i have written, i shall speak, when you return.
I have written the happy poem, tell me when
shall i write it again.

Back To The Family
My telephone wakes me in the morning --
Have to get up to answer the call.
So I think Ill go back to the family
Where no one can ring me at all.
Living this life has its problems
So I think that Ill give it a break.
Oh, Im going back to the family
'cos Ive had about all I can take.
Masters in the counting house
Counting all his money.
Sisters sitting by the mirror --
She thinks her hair looks funny.
And here am I thinking to myself
Just wondring what things to do.
I think I enjoyed all my problems
Where I did not get nothing for free.
Oh, Im going back to the family --
Doing nothing is bothering me.
Ill get a train back to the city
That soft life is getting me down.
Theres more fun away from the family
Get some action when I pull into town.
Everything I do is wrong,
What the hell was I thinking?
Phone keeps ringing all day long
I got no time for thinking.
And every day has the same old way
Of giving me too much to do.

Written In Stone
I'm gonna take you down to the riverside
Where the water runs slow and wide
There's a big ole rock out in the middle
And I took my hammer and chisel
And worked all night so you could see
Just how much you mean to me
I carved your name right next to mine
And it'll be there till the end of time
And my love will last at least that long
It's written in stone how I feel for you
It's written in stone what I want to do
Spend my life and life hereafter loving you
And darling if we live to be 100
Or if we don't make it half that long
I want you to know how I feel for you
Is written in stone
There's a place on the edge of town
When I was a kid I found
Two names on a stone together
Lying side by side forever
And it was then and there I knew
If I ever thought a love was true
I'd surely want to write it down
On something that would be around
When all the spoken words have come and gone
It's written in stone how I feel for you
It's written in stone what I want to do
Spend my life and life hereafter loving you
And darling if we live to be 100
Or if we don't make it half that long
I want you to know what I feel for you
Is written in stone
And when this life has come and gone
Our love will still be
Written in stone how I feel for you
Written in stone what I want to do
Spend my life and life hereafter loving you
And darling if we live to be 100
Or if we don't make it half that long
I want you to know how I feel for you
Is written in stone

I Have Written My Life Away-Most Of What I Have Written Is Already Lost
I HAVE WRITTEN MY LIFE AWAY- MOST OF WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN IS ALREADY LOST
I have written my life away-
Most of what I have written is already lost-
A portion of the work remains-
And who knows how long it will last?
I will try in the time left
To make it better –
But who knows
It may be like
Much of most things
Not worth keeping-
I have written my life away-
Thank God I had the time to do this.

Im thinking about the times you drove in my car
Im thinking that I might have drove you too far
Im thinking of the love
That you laid on my table
I told you not to wander round in the dark
I told you bout the swans that they live in the park
Then I told you about our kid
Now hes married to mabel
Yes I told you that the life goes up and down
Notice how the wheel goes round?
And youd better pick yourself up from the ground
Before they bring the curtain down
Yes before they bring the curtain down
Talking about a girl that looks quite like you
She didnt have the time to wait in the queue
She cried away her life since she fell out the cradle

I Wrote A Poem I Could Not Write
I wrote a poem I could not write-
And then when I tried to write it again
Could not write it again -
Poems written and not written
Words and more words
What do they mean?
Paradoxes and games with words
What do they mean?
If there is Beauty in the language
It is one thing
But words just to hear themselves think,
Why should they mean ‘Remembrance'?
Oh Words oh Questions oh Darkness oh Life-
Let me write myself to the grave
Believing at least
That poems too even when they can be written
Have their small unhidden meanings.

No More Words
words written down from my head
but the page is cleared
nothings written but
so much was told
maybe some times the
truth is what you can hold
a friend or a foe just some thing
to love oh hate
shit Tennessee Williams told me the
day i stop having pain is the day
am dead
Movado said the weak don't leave
at all
whiles Tupac told me there
a new day ahead just learn to wait
my pain is mine
so why is yours mine
god so much on my mind
so why cant i lie
nothing make sense shit
i cant even finish write
maybe its time to hang it up
and reminisce on what i write

I get so nervous I'm shaking
Gets so I got no pride at all
Gets so bad but I just keep coming back for more
I guess I just get off on that stuff
I'm thinking about taking some time
I'm thinking about leaving soon
I got some things I can't tell anyone
I got some things I just can't say
They're the kind of things no one knows about
I just need somebody to talk to me
I'm thinking about leaving tomorrow
I'm thinking about being on my own
I think I've been wasting my time
I'm thinking about getting out
Thinking about getting out
In all this time
