For What Is
'A man should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be.'
Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)
young man
this is reality
this is
what is
what do you think
should it be?
when?
how and where?
young man
this is it
now dip your tongue
and tell me
how it tastes?
this reality
that lies within the reach
of your arms
than your dreams
which are still
in the hands of the
stars
now, choose.

Adage 5
'Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift.'
Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
we are here
we do not worry
for everything is give
a tray of fruits
a bouquet of flowers
a cool river
a wide blue sea
white clear skies
sun
there is joy in merely looking
not even comprehending
what they are
their reasons
our reasons
we are the gifts
they are the gifts
we are this feasts
this dance
and celebrations

Falling
In dreams I was
Falling
But in reality I was
Leaping
In dreams I was
Crying
But in reality I was
Waiting
Is there a difference?
In dreams I was
Running
But in reality I was
Walking
In dreams I was
Dying
But in reality I was
Living,
Catching,
Helping,
But helpless,
Watching the earth die
Everyday
Part I
sands, sands, sands
and the dunes
the waves and wind
PartII
the city, city, city
steel and brick
and slabs of concrete
Part III
the dreams, dreams, dreams
that I had when
I was young
Part IV
reality, reality, reality
what I grew up
to be everyday

A Certain Someone
I see us walking hand in hand together
in every book I read and film I see,
but in reality, you are never near.
If I close my eyes, I can see us together
arm in arm and so much in love.
However, when I open them again
I realise it is only in my imagination
and you are never here with me.
Everyone has a certain someone
and I feel you are the one for me,
but waking up from my dreams
you are never anywhere to be seen.
When my dreams finally become reality,
everyone will be able to see
you and me walking together forever.
Until that day comes along
my arms will reach out in dreams,
for in that world you are mine
and loneliness is left far behind.
Tomorrow is another day of dreams
and longings over you.
Always just hoping I will wake up
and you will be here with me.

Cadillac Dreams
When I was seventeen, found out just what it means
If you can get it free, it just aint worth a damn
When I heard the preacher say, dont throw your life away
I got that message, and I wrote it on the wall
I dont want anybody tellin me lies, no, I dont want your diamond ring
cause you aint got my size
I want money, money, thats what I need,
I got cadillac dreams, please mister dontcha take it from me
Give me money, money, more than I need, I got cadillac dreams waitin on me
Cadillac dreams, cadillac dreams
When I had the young boy blues, I paid some young boy dues
I learned the hard way, theres a heartbreak every day
Stone cold reality came crashing down on me
Well life was hard on me, but I still dont give a damn
When I was seventeen I was an angry young man
But I wont let just anybody tell me who I am
I just want money, money, thats all I need
I got cadillac dreams, hey mister dontcha take it from me
Give me money, money, more than I need, these cadillac dreams are waitin on me
Didnt have the time of day, till this dream was born
You cant take that away, you cant take that away from me
(solo)
When I was seventeen, there was this beauty queen
Checked in a one room suite, the back seat of my car
When you want all the best things money can buy
You gotta reach down inside of you, to reach up to the sky
Yeah, I want money, money, thats all I need
I got cadillac dreams, hey mister you cant take that from me
I want money, money, more than I need, I got cadillac dreams waitin on me
Money, money, thats what I need
Were drivin in my chevy with my cadillac dreams
Someday, one day, just you and me
Well ride inside these cadillac dreams

We Sit And Dream
We sit and dream
what our perfect life could be,
unless we do something
about those dreams
they will never become reality.
We have to work on them
every single minute of the day,
for if we don’t
the dreams will disappear away.
My advice on dreams is
if you want them bad enough,
reach out and grasp them,
make them become reality.

Reality Sucks
O.k. maybe you know it better
Oh oh reality sucks
Nobody helps you to make it feel better
Oh oh reality sucks
And youre a dropout that stays away
Might be that evil took over
Oh oh reality sucks
Youre getting to old now
To cause a stampede
Oh oh reality sucks
So youre boozing your life away
Youre blown your brain away
Reality sucks
Oho reality sucks
Now you see your life has passed you by
Oh oh reality sucks
You took a shortcut
Through the junkyard of life
Maybe thats why reality sucks
Now youre boozing your life away
Blowing your head away
But dreams didnt make your day
cause reality sucks
Oh oh reality sucks
Reality sucks

“reality”
Subjective mind creates its reality
Along with a substratum of duality
Mixed with a smidgen of credulity
Yet 'neath a soul sees only totality

Dreams
Dreams are our escape route from reality,
so we can walk with love among the stars.
Our road to all the happiness
that our heart desires.
Our pathway to the angel’s
way up in the heavens above.
Our dreams can become reality,
if we really want them to
with determination and perseverance
we can make everyone of them come true.

Frustration
I would that I could ever be.
Allowed to worship thy beauty.
but thou hast little time for men
now past their three score years and ten.
But old men still dream young men’s dreams.
So when I sleep it truly seems
thou wouldst accept me as a swain
for I am young and strong again.
I wot that in reality
such foolish dreams can never be.
The secret dreams I dare not share
are but a burden that I bear.
Desire outlives ability
a lesson in humility.

Young Dreams
(words & music by kalmanoff - schroeder)
(young dreams of love, young dreams of love)
Young dreams (young dreams, young dreams)
My heart is filled with young dreams (dreams)
And Im longing to
Share them all with you
In my eyes, (my eyes, my eyes)
Oh cant you see in my eyes (in eyes)
That youre the only one who
Can make my young dreams come true
I have young arms
That wanna hold you (hold you)
Hold you oh so tight
I have young lips (lips)
That want to kiss you (kiss you)
Kiss you morning noon and night
Take my hand (my hand my hand)
Oh darling take my hand (take hand)
And let me make you a part
Of all my young dreams of love
I have young arms
That wanna hold you (hold you)
Hold you oh so tight
I have young lips (lips)
That want to kiss you (kiss you)
Kiss you morning noon and night
Take my hand (my hand my hand)
Oh darling take my hand (take hand)
And let me make you a part
Of all my young dreams of love
A part of all of my young dreams of love
(young dreams of love, young dreams of love)

Edge Of Reality
(words & music by giant - baum - kaye)
I walk along a thin line darling
Dark shadows follow me
Heres where lifes dream lies disillusioned
The edge of reality
Oh I can hear strange voices echo
Laughing with mockery
The border line of doom Im facing
The edge of reality
On the edge of reality she sits there tormenting me
The girl with the nameless face
On the edge of reality where she overpowers me
With fears that I cant explain
She drove me to the point of madness
The brink of misery
If shes not real then Im condemned to
The edge of reality
On the edge of reality she sits there tormenting me
The girl with the nameless face
On the edge of reality where she overpowers me
With fears that I cant explain
She drove me to the point of madness
The brink of misery
If shes not real then Im condemned to
The edge of reality
Reality, reality, reality, reality,
Reality, reality, reality, reality

Validation for colin j
Sometimes I think we should not try
to make our cherished dreams come true
and be content with fantasy.
We must accept reality
Some cherished dreams are doomed to fail.
Because they are not meant to be.
That does not mean we should not dream
For dreams are a necessity
Though they’re not always as they seem
Dreams can protect our sanity
provide escape from every day
repetitive reality.
Dreams can become reality
Though only if they’re meant to be.

Y.. Reality
Reality
Is dark and gloomy
But I see so much light
Reality
Is negative and bad
But I see so much goodness
Reality
Is falsehood and deceit
But I see so much honesty
Reality
is ugly and hideous
But I see so much beauty
Reality may be changing slowly
Please try to see
Take a look together with me

Forever Young
May God bless and keep you always, may your wishes all come true.
May you always do for others and let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars and climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young.
Forever young, forever young, may you stay forever young.
May you grow up to be righteous, may you grow up to be true.
May you always know the truth and see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous, stand upright and be strong.
May you stay forever young.
Forever young, forever young, may you stay forever young.
May your hands always be busy, may your feet always be swift.
May you have a strong foundation when the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful, may your songs always be sung.
May you stay forever young.
Forever young, forever young, may you stay forever young
