'Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift.'
Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
we are here
we do not worry
for everything is give
a tray of fruits
a bouquet of flowers
a cool river
a wide blue sea
white clear skies
sun
there is joy in merely looking
not even comprehending
what they are
their reasons
our reasons
we are the gifts
they are the gifts
we are this feasts
this dance
and celebrations

The Gifts of Life and Pollution
Nature's gifts are sunny beaches,
Nature's gifts are rocky mountains,
Nature's gifts are vast oceans,
Nature's gifts are the tranquil colors in the rainbow,
Nature's gifts are rain forests,
Nature's gift is life.
Our gifts are oceans filled with toxins,
Our gifts are global warming,
Our gifts are deserted forests,
Our gifts are killed animals,
Our gifts are serious diseases,
Our gift is pollution.

The Muscles
the muscles shrink
the fats bloom like fertilized flowers
uglier now
to the brain that does not stop thinking
to the feet that do not know already how to dance
to the abdomen that does not bend
what have you
when you look at yourself in the mirror
you become a denial
of your true nature
a freak ballooning on a baloney of
the future that does not bring you
a tray of fruits
a bouquet of flowers
but it has a gift for your handwork
a niche
and six feet under

25 Reasons
1... your smile, dont have to say no more
2... your guidance and all the things you show me
3... the way you look at me when you say I love you
4... your headstrong personality
5... your take-charge capability
6... I love the way you cook for me
Beef roast, white rice and gravy
Ill give you 25 reasons why Im really in love with you
I can give you 25 reasons why Im never leaving you
7,8,9... the roses, the massages, the cards you give for no reason at all
10... the way you spend on me even though I got my own money
11... for always being yourself regardless of how I or anyone else felt
12... the way you dont trip on me when Im in the studio real late
Like right now
25 reasons why Im really in love with you
I got 25 reasons why im....
Wait a minute - I dont need no backgrounds to tell you the rest, baby
13... knowing just what I need even when I didnt make it clear for you to see
14... for being understanding when that time comes, you know what I mean
15... for your beauty, inside and out
And to close it out, 16 through 25 is for
All the tricks you coulda hit, but you didnt because of your love for me
I could give you 25 reasons why Im really in love with you
I can give you 25 reasons why Im never leaving you
I could give you 25 reasons why Im really in love with you
I can give you 25 reasons why Im never leaving you... oh
I had to catch my breath for a minute
So many emotions are coming out in this song, oh
Have you ever loved somebody? have you ever loved somebody?
Come on ladies, help me say...
25 reasons why Im really in love with you (I am so in love with you)
I can give you 25 reasons why Im never leaving you (ohhhh)
25 reasons why Im really in love with you (Im so in love with you
And its really more than) 25 reasons why Im never leaving you
25 reasons why Im really in love with you
25 reasons why Im never leaving you (Im never leaving you...)

Sonnet: There Are Reasons for All Things
There must be reasons for the shaking leaves;
There must be reasons for the swaying trees;
There must be reasons for the drying sheaves;
There must be reasons causing any breeze.
There must be reasons for the waves at sea;
There must be reasons for ripples in pond;
There must be reasons for the sea briny;
There must be reasons for a mutual bond.
There must be reasons for the changing climes;
There must be reasons for both drought and rain;
There must be reasons for good and bad times;
There must be reasons for a boon or bane.
There must be reasons for all things on earth;
But not much reasons why men sin since birth!

'Small is the number of people
who see with their eyes
and think with their minds.'
Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
you cannot blame us
the spirits tell us
to see with our minds
and think
with our eyes
w are too many
to be stupid
in fact we have not

For What Is
'A man should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be.'
Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)
young man
this is reality
this is
what is
what do you think
should it be?
when?
how and where?
young man
this is it
now dip your tongue
and tell me
how it tastes?
this reality
that lies within the reach
of your arms
than your dreams
which are still
in the hands of the
stars
now, choose.

There's Not Too Many Reasons
There's not too many reasons,
I would...
Set aside my pride.
And there's...
Not too many reasons,
I would...
Not have a peaceful sleep at night.
No!
There's not too many reasons,
Why I...
Wouldn't eat or wish to feel that need.
Or...
Feel a hopelessness inside me,
Without you.
No!
There's not too many reasons,
Why I could not cope.
And...
There's not too many reasons,
Why I'd give up hope.
And...
There's not too many reasons,
Why I'd be on knees.
No...
There's not too many reasons,
Why I could not eat.
And...
There's not too many reasons,
Why I could not sleep.
Or believe there's a me to live and breathe,
Without you.

Secret love
He gloomily sat by the wall,
As gaily she danced with them all.
Her laughter's light spell
On every one fell;
His heartstrings were near unto rending,
But this there was none comprehending.
She fled from the house, when at eve
He came there to take his last leave.
To hide her she crept,
She wept and she wept;
Her life-hope was shattered past mending,
But this there was none comprehending.
Long years dragged but heavily o'er,
And then he came back there once more.
-Her lot was the best,
In peace and at rest;
Her thought was of him at life's ending,
But this there was none comprehending.

0008 The Gift
Who does not wish to give the perfect gift
to those we love – to whom we have already
given the greatest gift we have – our heart?
To choose a visible and outward sign
of love whose meaning’s inward, spiritual?
But who would dare to challenge innocence
and ignorance in their demonic bond,
and break the spell of Christmas wish and hope
by telling children, that old Santa Claus
is but the God who gave their life to them -
dressed up in red and white and snowy beard;
and who, in needing nothing of himself,
would be delighted to receive their thanks
and nothing more; and who, we might believe
of one who has all gifts in his command,
might be obliged by those laws he himself
created, out of justice, equity,
to give them that which they themselves have made –
a life of gratitude for life itself –
a life of praise, where all the world is gift
beyond all human gifts?
What parents now
might give their children gold, myrrh, frankincense
with all their love; and teach them by this show
why Christmas gifts are godly metaphor?
Of course, no parents would dare break this spell;
you’ll laugh at me for this absurdity;
yet it might build a clear-eyed, praising race
who thought in metaphor; spoke poetry.

A Beautiful World....
That night the
flowers of kamuning
bloomed
White perfume was
spread
as the cool air of
June
was playful with
the tiny
green leaves
I sat under it
there were no stars in the skies
no moon
Dark clouds covered
what the sky could have
offered
It was your Light
that illuminated my
dark world &
With You i had no reasons
for fear
What a scented world!
how beautiful it is!

Blue Skies Bring Tears
Unleash the armageddon
So all the children go to heaven
I sit by quiet still
With their pictures on my eyes
You'll draw the guns your given
Write down the words as written
And never disturb the presense
Of resurrection touch
And it's about time
It's about drawing near
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Descend the darkened stairway
Make hate with plastic playmates
And fire out remaining traces
Of your self esteem
Mainline the deepest secrets
Lick clean the dirty fingers
I am a stranger to you
As you are to yourself
And it's about time
It's about fear
Blue skies bring tears
Don't you want me (don't want you)
Cause I await cityside
We'll watch the seas start to die
Blue skies bring tears
Take me inside your body
Blue skies bring tears
Cover me with your soul
Blue skies bring tears
To the darkest reasons
Blue skies bring tears
Is where I wish to go
Blue skies bring tears
You are the sweetest flower
Blue skies bring tears
That I have ever devoured
Blue skies bring tears
I ask for nothing given
Blue skies bring tears
For nothing in return
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears
Blue skies bring tears

Remember...You're the One That's Nuts
Help me understand,
What I am having trouble comprehending.
For years I have been labelled a fool...
Who has no direction.
Laughed at behind my back...
With less than adulation.
And made to feel uncomfortable,
Because I chose to be who I am.
Tell me this...
If they who have done this,
Have been stripped and evicted...
From their realities.
And their 'normal' lives have ceased to be!
While I maintain my peace of mind...
That took time for me to receive.
With a faith I've kept and believed.
What do they have they had valued...
But now has been taken.
That allows them to escape...
The sadness appearing on their faces?
Help me understand,
What I am having trouble comprehending.
If their way of life is 'suppose' to be right...
Why do they look as if,
The end for them is nearing?
If I had been the one...
They were laughing at and jeering?
Help me understand,
What I am having trouble comprehending.
I see a new day beginning to dawn.
And it seems all that they have believed in...
Has been taken away from them and gone!
'Remember...
You're the one that's nuts! '
Oh...
That's right!
I forgot!

Reasons To Lie
I get so tired of missing you
I get so tired of wanting to
Compare the things that are easy to do
Like the reasons you lie to me
The reasons I lie to you
And I wish it was some kinda explosive device
That only you could diffuse
Reasons you lie to me
Reasons I lie to you
Wanna live in a beautiful house
Somewhere up in the hills
With some people making fun of us
You refer to us as your two kids
Then it wouldn't be somebody else
That you'd grow accustomed to
Reasons to lie to me
Is a reason to lie to you
I get so tired of missing you
I get so tired of wanting to
Compare the things that are easy to do

Reasons I lie to you

Natural Gift
See that girl walkin down the street
She looks like a prima donna
Shes a star in her head and the worlds at her feet
She looks at you twice and your heart skips a beat
She didnt learn it at high school or from a glossy magazine
You see shes a natural, she gotta natural gift
You gotta rise above your stupidity
Youre dumb but dont give in
You gotta rise above your station
Discover whats within
And with some luck and dedication and some careful manipulation
Everybody needs some inspiration
Everybody needs some motivation
Mix it up with some imagination
And use your natural gifts, you gotta natural gift
You got natural gifts
Ah, hey, hey, hey, ah, hey, hey
And use your natural gifts, you got natural gifts
You dont have to be a genius to find
All the hidden potential deep in your mind
You dont have to know about nuclear physics
Know all the formulas and vital statistics
You dont have to be an intellectual, you dont have to be a scientist
To use your natural gifts, you got natural gifts, yeh
Use your natural gifts, you got natural gifts
You gotta stop this depression youre in now
Stop this emotional rift, you need a psychological lift now
Everybody needs some inspiration, everybody needs some motivation
Mix it up with some imagination and use your natural gifts
There are bad people, mad people, bitter people, scared people
Wanna put you down and keep you in your place
But you gotta chance to break out, you gotta chance to get out
And use your natural gifts

The Greatest Gift
When Christmas shopping is done,
wrapped gifts lie ‘neith a tree
sparkling bright with tinsel and light
for everyone to see.
Each gift has been selected
with thoughtfulness and care.
Toys and such will mean so much
like all the gifts we bear.
But let us keep within our heart
the much greater gift than these.
One from above, with God's great love
should bring us to our knees.
A gift of birth to all on Earth.
A gift that's far from small.
To everyone, He gave His Son…
The greatest gift of all.

Reasons
Set my sails out on a sunny day
Pretty soon I was on my way
Though what for sure it was
I could not say
Two thousand reasons
Maybe more
Eight hundred chances on faraway shores
Searching for something
Searching for more
Deep down inside me burning
Reasons for the learning
Now you can pick up reasons so easily
Where youve been and where youve got to be
And when the truth dont show youll always see
Lots of reasons
And pretty soon youve got a heavy load
Dragging those reasons down an endless road
I got to thinking and I got to see
So many reasons coming at me
The one that leaves you high and dry
He says you still owe him, theres a reason why
Hell leave you crying till the tears run dry
Hes the one, always the one with all the reasons
So many reasons the come and they go
The reasons for them Ill never know
Ive seen so many, theyve come and theyve gone
Ive turned all mine in and Im happy with one
So dont talk of friendship, do it to me
Make me an offer and make it for free
Dont give me reasons cos I wrote that song
I only want love now so Ill just take the one

When I Made That Choice
god came to me in a dream one night,
and whispered, 'by your gifts you are named'.
to some i give dignity,
to some i give grieving.
to some i give prophecy,
to some i give doubt.
to some i give determination,
to some i give faith.
to some i give patience,
to some the gift of listening.
to some i give peace,
to some revolution.
to some i give healing,
to some i give suffering.
to some i give love,
to some i give loss.
to some i give eyes,
to some i give feet.
to all i give understanding,
though few choose to take it....
and remember, you chose your own gifts! '...
and i thought for awhile,
and then asked....
'but what about me? '
god laughed...
'to a few infidels i give poetry,
to sing to the weary! '
god, what was i thinking,
when i made that choice?
