Even Near You

from a distance you see an egg
white shell,
put it against the light
of your love,

i am empty.
i am nothing.
i am true.

i am really sorry
for this. i do not have you
inside this emptiness.

Until I get Over you

So many dreams inside my mind
That I pray it will come true
I have been searching, deep down on my soul
In a lonely river I have found
Like an empty shell longing for love
The one thing that I try to hold on too

I woke today thinking of you
Miserably starring the empty sky
The sun won’t shine since you went away
Seems like rain pouring everyday
Every night I sit by my window
Softly speaking on gust of wind

Faded shadow on obscure nights
That painted the sorrow of life
Wearing my mask on silence
Pretending it would be alright
A grief of a smile you will see in my eyes
Such a pity face that reflects on me

Lonely I am don’t look at me
Searching for love, where can I find.
Just a litter of tears to fill the emptiness
A ton of laughter to ease the pain
A half way of distance just to feel you
Until I get over you.

Excitement

To live your life in monotonous ways
turns you into an empty shell.
You must encounter excitement
or you create a living hell.

The emptiness can take right over
and change who you are,
an individual that's vacant inside
that will never reach for a star.

And the reaching is the important thing
for it keeps you glowing.
Others will see it in your eyes.
and soon you will be growing

into another version of yourself,
not that empty shell.
Become excited with the act of living
and uncreate that living hell.

Emptiness Comes

EMPTINESS COMES

Emptiness comes-
There is nothing to say
Nothing to write-

But Nothing is for me only nothing
It is not the goal and the meaning-

Egolessness belongs to saints of a certain kind
I am not a saint-

Emptiness disappears with the writing
Words and meanings come-

I suppose one will be empty forever
When one is alive
What can Emptiness give?

I have written against the Emptiness
And am less empty now for now-

Thank God I no longer feel empty now-

Emptiness Is Both An Illusion And An Irony

emptiness is always an illusion
which carries with it an irony.

when i look at it, as its content shows,
it has nothing

bare hands, opening fingers,
an empty transparent ball, it can

tell your future, it can dig your
past,

thinking that it is spacious, i went
inside it, pierce myself though it

only to find that that are so many
crowding elements in there and they

are choking me and you who is looking
outside it, thinks that nothing is happening

but then the struggle is horrible, quick
and even deadly, so many hang themselves in

empty air, and lose their lives, because
you cannot see the body of breathing,

when you learn to live with it however,
you become full, emptiness is its irony,

its antithesis, for how can you ever be full
if you have never known how to empty yourself?

the face of emptiness is a mist, and you touch
it, you will hold a forest, so many black birds,

myriad exotic orchids, so many blending sounds of
trees screaming, of creeks flowing of waterfalls

cascading that you can relate to the locks of
your hair and the hairs of your armpits,

inside it is too personal to be told, outside it
are so many denials with the faces of the people

that you have loved before, and then you decide
to stay at a distance, you are like a tree

dark as a shadow, counting the hours
when the sun finally fades away.

I Am All Alone

Today is the day
The best day of my life,
The girl I love the most
Will become my wife.

Everyone has come
Everyone is there,
To hear us say our vows
About our love and our care.

As the minister reads
From the Holy Book,
I noticed something unusual
So I turn to take a look.

The church is empty
Like the inside of a shell,
I turn to my true love
She is missing as well.

When I wake up
I'm chilled to the bone,
I cry for my true love
For I am all alone.

I love you for what you seem.

Dear, can you be what you seam, inside your shell?
I fear, you may not show how you are inside.
Dear, can you admit me to peep inside your shell?
I fear, you may not expose the secret inside.
As long as you are not open with your shell inside
Why should I bother to know what is there in the Hell?
And why not what you seem outside alone can enthrall?
I love you for what you seem and not for what are inside.
I shall be concerned with your pericarp, content in full.
You can keep your endosperm to yourself opaque.

Empty....

birds of prey
picked the shell like flesh
from my bones till
they were bare...

and that which had echoed
the pounding waves,
and had held the wind...
bare bones, and empty...

no longer an echo,
no longer a cup...
the sound, the waves, the wind...
all empty!

from emptiness we come,
to emptiness we return!

Distant Love

Oh my love
the beauty behind your blue eyes
are astonishing.

I go to bed with you on my mind
its pains me distance and time
keeps us apart; i long dearly to be with you.
if only life could have brought us together
so closely, so distance would not be a barrier to our love.

I know love never dies
but if you stop loving me i will die.
Don't let anything take you away from me
'You are my only true love', my dear

The irony of life is that it always
stands in the way of true love.

'Inside i long for you, and the distance
between us an ocean of tears.
Lets there be war and famine,
lightning and darkness,
as long as the day and night remains
so would my love for you never change.'

Living Inside Myself

In my life
Ive felt so self assured
But suddenly its all changed
Shes a cloud
That hangs above my world
And I find myself wondring in the rain
And now I cant go on
cause I am lost
Living inside myself
Living inside this shell
Living outside your love
I am lost
Somewhere inside my own dreams
Afraid of what life really means
Living without your love
I need a guiding light
To shine on my darkest days
I was young, and time was on my side
But like a fool I let it slip away
And now those days are gone
And I am lost
Living inside myself
Living inside this shell
Living outside your love
I am lost
Somewhere inside my own dreams
Afraid of what life really means
Living without your love
In my life
Ive felt so self-assured
But oh how all the seasons change
And now Im not that strong
cause I am lost
Living inside myself
Living inside this hell
Living outside your love
I am lost
Somewhere inside my own dreams
Afraid of what life really means
Living without your love
I am lost
Living inside myself
Living inside this shell
Living outside your love
I am lost

Transparency

a egg shell

white as
clear skies
on a cloudless day

i hold it
against the sun

to see
if something
alive is
still there

to see
if you still
love me

opaque love
transparencies
of feelings
concealed

pains buried
like egg yolk
inside
this fragile shell

Empty Holes

Fill up the empty holes in my life.
Fill them before it's too late.
Find the missing qualities I have
and let the emptiness abate.

Recognition of these things I need
must be foremost in my mind.
Or the empty holes that need attention
will probably be left behind.

They will follow me like burned out stars
that cannot shine again.
And the emptiness I feel inside
will mark my journey's end.

True Love

When I gave you everything that I had
And there was nothing more for me to give
Instead of feeling bad it made you sad
I recall you said ‘that's no way to live'
Then tell me so I know, ‘what is true love? '
And what does the term ‘true love' mean to you
For you it is something to rise above
And how do you know when a love is true?
Cause I only feel emptiness inside
Someone else will take my place tomorrow
Is anything worse than losing your pride?
My heart is heavy and filled with sorrow

At This Great Distance

Memory
Ancient light from a binary star
Bends across a receeding tide
A single point of light st this great distance
At this great distance only the eye
Pressed against the telescope of dreams
Sees two stars
Two stars, two white hot lines on a firey white
Spinning madly on lines defined
By each others gravity.
And by the time we see
The light of memory
There is no hope
Theres no hope
Only memory
They danced to songs
Played at the speed of light
Red shifting
Untouchable
At this great distance two stars, two souls
Become one single point of light
Not hot
Not cold
Not you
Not me
Only memory
Chorus
Only memory - at this great distance
(repeat to end

if you leave
leave at once
for i have nothing
to say,

others ask
what to say when someone
you love says
about leaving?

i say
go, go, find what is lacking
find that which must complete you
and if you are empty still
do not come back to me
for i am empty too

how can emptiness fill another
emptiness?
mine will always be an invitation
i care
but once refused
there is no where
where you can find me
i am also gone
searching what you have been searching
but now it
shall not be you
i'll have someone else
who can fill
my own emptiness

Stronger

Love is stronger than hunger and,
Your love is deep inside me;
Seeing is believeing but,
Many are those who crack kernels at thre seashore.

Every night on my bed,
I see you and i feel you;
But nothing from nothing still brings us emptiness!
So do drill my life with gladness.

I am joyful like a 70 year-old elephant,
And i am confident as a white dove on your love;
But true love is stronger than hunger itself.

There Is A Time When One Has Nothing Inside

THERE IS A TIME WHEN ONE HAS NOTHING INSIDE

There is a time when one has nothing inside
No birds sing
No longings demand their realization
Only the endless emptiness
Of what one has never been
The endless ambition to be
Without knowing what to be
Nothing inside
Endless hopelessness
Little fear
Waiting
No poem either
Nothing inside
But only
Emptiness
And more Emptiness
Like these lines
So small
So pathetic
So unworthy of ‘Poetry’
As if one’s life too
Were a meaningless passing of nothingness to nothing else.

Empty Night

I feel so empty inside
An emptiness I do not understand
Like a raven in the night
A dark dismal plight
Filled without moonlight
My emptiness stays in sight
Now that the raven takes flight
I am in non-delight

Death...

i lift an empty conch
near my hear
i hear songs and i
carefully listen
and i close my eyes
and see places
i see emptiness
i feel the fullness

barefoot i walk on the
white sandy beach
i left the empty conch
and carry something else
my heart understands
my face nods
my body is light
and the sun is bright
the air is salty
God is mighty.

My Stories Of You (chapter four)

Recycled feelings are not enough for me
to be brave and bold
as the hero that lit your fire and left.
In my bed there's no one I dare to put,
no one but you,
but I can't tell you this
for it would make me weak
and you still want a hero
a white horse, a golden armour
a beautiful and empty shell, Adonis of hypocrisy
so tippical for the modern man.
I'm not that,
I'm old, but not the way you want me to be.
I'm old because I still belive in true love,
the reason I'm still here.

Shadow

Warmth dies inside
Like everything else that passes me by
Coldness covers me tight
Reminds me why I'm standing out in the side
People see that light
All I see is that darkness that fills me inside
Smiles trick the mind
Smiles trick the people that stand to criticize
But I'm someone else inside
I'm half alive
I can't survive
The chasm calls
And I crawl back into the shadows
I'm fading away
I'm nothing but an empty shell
