Erratum
be like the fish
agile to the rages of the current
sleek and smart
IN a second it escapes and is gone
an illusion to your hands

What is Wrong With Your Poetry?
do not sound like a treaty
with terms and conditions
penalties for violations
much more
do not sound like your are
sort of a philosophy
the heart would not be pleased
with prolixity
be like a bird in the air
playful to the emptiness of the sky
be like the fish
agile to the rages of the current
sleek and smart
it a second it escapes and is gone
an illusion to your hands
it is after all the emotions
that we are dealing with here
grief, anger, bliss
happiness, joy,
it is the fireworks that we see on the 4th of July
less talk
more of that awe
and wonder

The Current
These fish have no eyes
these silver fish that come to me in dreams,
scattering their roe and milt
in the pockets of my brain.
But there's one that comes-
heavy, scarred, silent like the rest,
that simply holds against the current,
closing its dark mouth against
the current, closing and opening
as it holds to the current.

On The Second Night
i like the
wall
of separation
within it
is the silence
that i could
have written
since
i cannot
speak it
i tried
many times to reduce
the color
of silence
into something
like
black here and
white
over there
i want to capture
it in
some letters
like bars
and rectangles
formed
by my hands
i have never
done so
well
i am not good at
capturing
the perfect moment
it escapes
always it escapes
always
it escapes
because it is
free

Sleek
Sleek, seek, see, lee, lees, Lee, leek;
But the head is for Nigeria and,
The tongue is for France!
And the remaining body goes to Holland;
But who is ready to learn from my muse?
Sleek and sweet,
And like the muse of the Stock Fish around you;
But half way to the town is the muse of your lover,
And like the sight of the rainbow across the river.

Truth Works
'When the truth works its way
through the net of illusion
and plunges back into the sea, '
says the fish to the fisher,
'the freedom it experiences
then is far greater than
that it experienced
before it was caught.'
'So you are the truth? '
says the fisher to the fish,
checking his net for a tear
the fish might work through.
'I am the truth, and you are, too, '
says the fish, jumping up
out of the net, 'and so are
the net and the sea.' Splash!

Some things that can happen with a fish
A fish that drinks like a fish, that is a fish in excess
A fish that fishes in troubled waters, that is a fish taking advantage of another fish in trouble
A fish that fishes or cuts bait, well, to be or not to be, to retreat or to attack, that is the fishy question
A fish that is neither fish nor fowl, is a fish that is neither one nor the other, lacking some convictions
A fish out of water, is a fish feeling left out, no longer in his accustomed environment
Do you have other fish to fry for now?
Is there other matter requiring my attention?
Poor fish,
the lake is finally fished out from his fishy mind.

Against Current
I like to move against current
I want to play more around
I don’t like to just follow order
I like to place myself against current
I want to challenge how far I could go on
I don’t like to be lead without having any power
I like to be against current
I want to see the faces who passing me by
Even I should turn so far, even I should wait a little more time
I want to be free to do what I want, to follow my heart’s tell
Maybe I’m not always against current
Maybe it’s good and the right one
But I will never know what’s outside the flow
If I only let myself swept by current

Helping Hands
these hands
these so sore helping hands
and these eyes
seeing through all the black and white,
a monovision more incommon than not,
these hands like talons ripping as fast they can
fish
trapped inside
the barrel
as he cocks his wrist,
that tiny gap of silent air
and in an instant these fish know they're goners,
full of holes
that what this life of mine has been like...
a great tapestry to the biggest moths
and the kindest spiders
as well as the coldest eyes
and the softest hands
however these hands,
rough and dry
witnessed it all first hand
and then the other.

AE01 i could be fish
i felt power of fish
when i touched one
it's all muscle, solid
swimming work out
wonder keep growing
breathing air-water
fins design to go forward
that could be for escaping
from bigger fish of going
against flow or riding current
amazing how they sleep
do they have dreams to keep

Break Own Net ~ (~_~) Abstinence ~
Whatever you do
Don't ask for help
Whatever you do
Don't wait to get
Whatever you wish
away let it slip
Faster than the fish
Caught with one hand.
Ignore or forget
who's on the shore
in a smart blend
stinking fish net.
Stretch tearing a limb
Survive, shh..break own set
Don't try to scream a story
that may never end.

Is it really like fishing?
They say there is many fish in the sea to choose from.
But have you ever gone fishing?
They say do not worry they are like fish you lose one then get a fresh one.
But have you actually gone fishing?
They say you can be picky when fishing your fish.
But have you been in the sea and fished?
They even say some actually smell like fish.
But have you really smelled a fish?
They say there is plenty of fish in the sea.
But have you actually gone and counted the fish in the sea?
They say once you catch that perfect fish, you are bound for a good life.
But have you caught that perfect fish they all speak of?
They say some fish can be beautiful.
But have you seen any beautiful fish?
How can one compare a fish?
They are not alike.
How can one say it is as easy as finding a fish?
It is not a simple task.
How can they say there are so many fish in the sea?
When there are so many fishers who have yet to catch.
Can you really compare life and love to a fish?
The answer is of course not.
You can’t.
Impossible.
Unreal.
Not imaginable.
Unbelievable.
Unrealistic.
A fairy tale.

Agile body
An agile mind
Is what
Rigours
Of life demand.
Pondered
Slept
Wept
Crept
For rejuvination
Took rest
And he swept
Me, me
Back.
Me thought
Iwas the best.
Best when
Put to test
Proved
Was not
The best
No end to this test
No end for the best

Fish oh! fish
swish a miss
wish on hiss
shush to hush
Push push
oh! fish
flush a blush
fresh 'n' mush
Fish oh! fish
slush the gush
slash in gash
splash the plush
Fish oh! fish
pose to posh
rush a mash
fish oh! gosh!

When I remember the fish
When I remember the fish,
The river longed me to go,
Wriggling and meandering, slippery in this
Imaginary waters of my world,
I become a fish.
When eye sea them eat the fish;
They cast their nets for a random catch, they
Drop their hooks for a strangling pull, then,
I become a fish no more.
When them fail to catch the fish;
As the fish wriggles an escape,
Then eye long to be like one as eye
Wonder whether or not am a fish.

Men As Predators
Each bird of prey sat lonely on a seat close to the wall,
Deducing and watching each fish with cup of beers in their hands.
Cunningly they caress the lips with their thumb
Fingers,
But in spite of the beers they feel the taste for lust.
Although their seeming rocky heart won't melt into larva, still they feel a degree of taste.
About ten to fifteen birds leap from their seats
To trap the preys:
Bacci on their beaks, with smoke nourishing the air; they trapped the fish in their claws,
Clanging each fish with hopeful touch;
Dancing, whispering to the fish with pound of delusive golds in their hands;
Each fish has accepted the gold and left with
The birds to be devoured cold
Upon the womb of Rhea where they thought gold did sprout.

Empty Day
take back your smile,
the fish has died in my hands;
nowhere you have touched me
deep in the brutal corona of a black moon -
my sun spots were waning:
a hole in the wind, chased
adulthood of man for a frozen
infantile mutancy
something stopped you
to discover yourself in the rage:
what was it? I am refusing to believe
something between the unbuttoned
golden flesh of a mummy,
the old version dies hard, fear escapes
from amygdalae,
in mourning, comes the rainbow
of pain, the rain lashing on window
i am melting inside a cast
