Against Current

I like to move against current
I want to play more around
I don’t like to just follow order
I like to place myself against current
I want to challenge how far I could go on
I don’t like to be lead without having any power
I like to be against current
I want to see the faces who passing me by
Even I should turn so far, even I should wait a little more time
I want to be free to do what I want, to follow my heart’s tell
Maybe I’m not always against current
Maybe it’s good and the right one
But I will never know what’s outside the flow
If I only let myself swept by current

I don't see America as a mainland, but as a sea, a big ocean. Sometimes a storm arises, a formidable current develops, and it seems it will engulf everything. Wait a moment, another current will appear and bring the first one to naught.

A Long Dress

That is the current that makes machinery,
that makes it crackle,
what is the current that presents a long line and a necessary waist.
What is this current.
What is the wind, what is it.

Where is the serene length,
it is there and a dark place is not a dark place,
only a white and red are black, only a yellow and green are blue,
a pink is scarlet, a bow is every color. A line distinguishes it.
A line just distinguishes it.

The Current

These fish have no eyes
these silver fish that come to me in dreams,
scattering their roe and milt
in the pockets of my brain.

But there's one that comes-
heavy, scarred, silent like the rest,
that simply holds against the current,

closing its dark mouth against
the current, closing and opening
as it holds to the current.

What if

What if I’m an empty shell
Will somebody tons me with everything he wants
Or just throws me to another corner
What if my memory is short
Will I lose something important
Or it’s a gift to be able to forget
What if I choose to wait for a moment
Will there be something different
Or it’s just another waste of time
What if I follow the current flow
Will it fit with the destiny
Or it swept me further from my journey more

Mamaloi

Patrick simmons
Layin back and sittin in the sunshine
Hot wind, I drink me little wine
Straw hat down across my eyes
Lettin the world go by
Music, it start my toes a tappin
Drum beat, it set my hands a clappin
Rum wine, it get my head a spinnin
Turnin around and round
Caribbean current, please take me
I hear you callin me home
Got to get back to jamaica
I want no more to roam
Caribbean current, please take me
I hear you callin me home
Got to get back to jamaica
Gypsy, she say I got the fever
I dont know whether to believe her
But when the wind blow from the sea
My soul start to fly away
She give me charm that will protect me
Necklace with stone from far across the sea
But island magic much too strong
It wont let me go this time
Caribbean current, please take me
I hear you callin me home
Got to get back to jamaica
I want no more to roam
Caribbean current, please take me
I hear you callin me home
Got to get back to jamaica
Caribbean current, please take me
I hear you callin me home
Got to get back to jamaica
I want no more to roam
Caribbean current, please take me
I hear you callin me home
Got to get back to jamaica

Heart Solitude

I'to pass alone the cold night without tears*
Attempt for standing without love and try the feeling heart solitude*
I'passed my long night without word's*
without power*

Tried for to pass the current ocean of love that has bring me in heart solitude*
Tried for running to resist the current dark night that was impossible*

When the current attacked and made collapse my heart*
I'fall and sink in heart solitude*
Hoped received the warm hug*
Waiting the holy kiss*

I'passed my heart solitude*
Tried to erase my feel yearn that was impossible*
I'planted my longing too much in grounds my heart, and only will become wound in my heart**

Soul is a current

When a television pictures,
When a radio speaks,
When a bulb burns,
A current is at work.
By a current, you’re alive.
There is no extra corporal
Existence for your soul.

A Myth

A FLOATING, a floating
Across the sleeping sea,
All night I heard a singing bird
Upon the topmast tree.

“Oh, came you from the isles of Greece
Or from the banks of Seine;
Or off some tree in forests free,
Which fringe the western main?”

“I came not off the old world
Nor yet from off the new—
But I am one of the birds of God
Which sing the whole night through.”

“Oh, sing and wake the dawning—
Oh, whistle for the wind;
The night is long, the current strong,
My boat it lags behind.”

“The current sweeps the old world,
The current sweeps the new;
The wind will blow, the dawn will glow,
Ere thou hast sail’d them through.”

F[r]og - Parody Carl Sandburg - Fog

The frog comes
on little toed feet.

Glad on pad soaking
rafts, wafts nenuphar away from city zen smog
mist_story current flows from current woes
in bog, in pond beyond poetic reads
It sits croaking.

Silence? - you’re joking! -
until it croaks.

Albert Pike

He who endeavors to serve, to benefit, and improve the world, is like a swimmer, who struggles against a rapid current, in a river lashed into angry waves by the winds. Often they roar over his head, often they beat him back and baffle him. Most men yield to the stress of the current... Only here and there the stout, strong heart and vigorous arms struggle on toward ultimate success.

Boats Against The Current

(eric carmen)
I know its over
You know its over
Were just goin through the motions
But were sailing separate oceans, worlds apart
And you know its breakin my heart
I was a dreamer
You were a dreamer
But perfection is consuming
And it seems were only human after all
And weve both been takin the fall
But tomorrow
Well run a little bit faster
Tomorrow
Were gonna find what were after at last
Feelings that we left in the past
Theres romance in the sunset
Were boats against the current to the end
Maybe were older
And maybe were colder
So we disregard solutions
While we cling to our illusions once again
And we keep remembering when
Seasons are changing
Oh my reasons are changing
But the story isnt ending
So we find ourselves pretending one more day
And the years keep slipping away
But tomorrow
Well run a little bit faster
Tomorrow
Were gonna find what were after at last
Feelings that we left in the past
Theres romance in the sunset
Were boats against the current to the end
But tomorrow
Well run a little bit faster
Tomorrow
Were gonna find what were after at last
Feelings that we left in the past
Theres romance in the sunset
Were boats against the current to the end
Romance in the sunset
Were boats against the current to the end
To the end

Doctrines of Our Comforts

Who we are and our priorities?
You still have your list?
Let's make sure,
We both have the same updates!
I'll read them and you check yours off:

1) What we have.
2) How much did it cost.
3) What year was it obtained,
And current value.
4) Who we know.
5) What they have.
6) How much did it cost them.
7) What year did they obtain whatever it is...
And its current value.
8) Who they know.
9) What they know and how.
10) How any of this achieves our satisfaction.

Remember...
Who cares about anything else,
As long as we get ours.
These doctrines are our comforts!
Keep them close to you...
Just in case we are interrogated at the border.
If they are lost you will not gain re-entry!
