Do Not Yet Eat The Icing Of The Cake...

a delayed
gratification is
actually the bud
of maturity.

restraint is
the humus that
makes the
best peony....

Forever Delayed (V.1)

Forever Delayed (Version 1)

The end of poverty seems to be forever delayed,
The end of racism seems to be forever delayed,
The end of suffering seems to be forever delayed.

The beginning of world peace seems to be forever delayed,
The end of war seem to be forever delayed,
The end of famine seems to be forever delayed.

Do It And Be Set Free

Don't be the one,
Delayed to be forgiving.
Open up your heart,
And...
Blessings come,
You will know.

Don't be the one,
Delayed to be forgiving.
Open your eyes wide,
To realize...
Your gift IS life.

Don't be the one,
Delayed to be forgiving.
Do it and be set free.
Do it and you will see,
What God can do.

Don't be the one,
Delayed to be forgiving.
Do it and be set free.
Do it and you will see,
What God can do.
For you.
Do it and you will see,
What God can do.

Do it and you will see,
What God will undo for you.
Do it and you will see,
What God can do.

Don't be the one,
Delayed to be forgiving.
Do it and be set free.
Do it and you will see,
What God can do.
For you.
Do it and you will see,
What God can do.

Just Follow That Yellow Brick Road

Instant gratification?
I'm sorry I don't have it here for you,
Like that.
And there is nothing on my path that says I should.

Have you been modified to accept rejection?
I hope so.
I would hate to be the one to break your heart,
With a pinch of reality and a dash of a thought process.
The instant gratification you might be seeking...
May be found at another address.
Just follow that yellow brick road.

The place where we don't agree is on whether there should be some restraint on insurance companies and whether they should be allowed to run wild. We believe there should be some restraint; some on the other side don't think so.

Delayed Reaction

Music: hall
Lyrics: hall/oates/s. allen
You strike a low blow
You fight a dirty fight
Right to the heart youre putting me away
Time was movin slow
But I was in control
There were so many things I shouldve said
But couldnt think of one word
(delayed reaction) oh yeah
At first I was ashamed
Then I was inflamed
I wanted to hurt you
Say that (delayed reaction) oh no
At first I was alright
And then I had to fight
I wanted to hurt you
I wanted to hurt you so
It was a backlash
No I couldnt let it pass
I was so mad I couldnt keep it down
I made it real tough
Ooh I had to blow you off
I couldnt stand it having you around
I couldnt stand the sound, no
(delayed reaction) oh yeah
At first I was ashamed
And then I was inflamed
I wanted to hurt you
Say that (delayed reaction) oh no
At first I was alright
And then I had to fight with you
I wanted to hurt you
I wanted to hurt you so
But if the rage is right
Then you better be wrong
cause if I force a fight well then Im twice a fool
Ooh, I couldve listened more
Was that what you were waiting for?
I cant imagine why
I cant imagine why
I cant imagine why youd wanna let it go
I didnt wanna blow but
(delayed reaction) oh yeah
At first I was ashamed
And then I was inflamed
I wanted to hurt you
Say that delayed reaction oh no
At first I was alright
And then I had to fight with you
I wanted to hurt you so
(delayed reaction) oh yeah
Ooh I had to fight, fight, fight you
(delayed reaction oh no)
Just had to let the love blow to fight a dirty fight
9delayed reaction oh yeah)
What good is saying I lost my head I didnt mean it girl
(delayed reaction) oh no
Ooh baby, ooh baby
I cant imagine why you want to let it go
(delayed reaction)
Ooh, yeah the boys are fine and Im twice the fool
(delayed reaction) oh no
I cant imagine why, I cant imagine why

Czeslaw Milosz

By the Peonies

The peonies bloom, white and pink.
And inside each, as in a fragrant bowl,
A swarm of tiny beetles have their conversation,
For the flower is given to them as their home.

Mother stands by the peony bed,
Reaches for one bloom, opens its petals,
And looks for a long time into peony lands,
Where one short instant equals a whole year.

Then lets the flower go. And what she thinks
She repeats aloud to the children and herself.
The wind sways the green leaves gently
And speckles of light flick across their faces.

The charms of the ordinariness soothe the threat of anxiety.

Duet with a Peony

A dark red peony
Darker red than
The crown of a rooster
Swollen with pride
Stood on the grand piano

The petals fall
On the black and white ivories
I hear a quiet pianissimo tone
A haunting sense of emptiness
Soft and mysterious

Constant change of mood
The last piece of satin red petal
With hint of jazz
Morph into a smooth abscission
Like a saxophonist flirting the soft piano

I close my eyes
Red petals bursting up the piano keys
Like fireworks, a fleeting dream
Dazzling array of pianistic explosions
And me, duet with a dark red peony

Are We Civilized Anymore?

Last refuge of man,
Home is no longer sacrosanct.
Today children feel unsafe
From those who vouch to protect.

Family and filial bonds,
On the verge of death.
The sense of belonging and bonhomie
Has been replaced by anomie.

Self above everything else,
Even family can be exterminated
For personal goals and success.
So what if it’s an inhuman act.

My heart bleeds,
As with shock and tears I read,
That it's possible a father
Killed his own daughter.

media brings to light the trends in society,
but doesn't it have a social responsibility?
they should exercise restraint and not air
such crimes all through the day.

because of this children of the nation
are traumatised and shaken,
and ask with a plea
father can it happen to me?

the voice of concience
that watches over how we behave,
and makes us feel guilt and shame
is not heeded for selfish gains.

The case will be laid to rest
Due to lack of evidence
How to arrest this social degeneration
For instant gratification?

Can there be a bigger tragedy
Than this in our civilized history?

Questions that come to my mind on reading the news of a NOIDA girl allegedly killed by her own father

ANOMIE
Sociologists say anomie is a condition typified by absence of values in an individual
