At The Core Of My Being

a cake with white
icing, some sugar
red roses and
confectioner leaves
of green around
the chocolate cake
layer upon layer
to give an impression
of fullness and
solidity,
at the core is the
softness of air bubbles
trapped within,
something is empty
so soft, something like
a void unaffected still
by heat and time.

Is it Tea or Coffee?

Is it Tea or Coffee?
Tell me!
My instant early morning dream
I like it black, white with sugar or cream!

The choice is free
Yet the mind cannot agree
With Tea is a Yippee!
With Coffee it is a Whoopee!

The thought of a little caffeine
The smell of fresh roasted beans
Will once again set off my adrenalin
While my exhausted brain is waiting

That stirring cup of sizzling black
Put on the kettle; spill the beans out of the sack
I will pay the fee; I will pay the levee
I will beg on one knee for a little bit of Coffee

Take a sip of the early morning coffee
Close your eyes and try to see
As you smell the airy aroma like a bee
Tea or Coffee! Perhaps you now understand me

Those swarms of dark brown seeds
They feed my vicious needs indeed
I don’t care how much I pee or how much I wee
For that sparking liquid of hot black called coffee

An Afternoon Poem

it is all coffee without cream
no sugar, you say please, no sugar no cream

it is all about cold bread
nothing electrifying
unlike the softness of the arms of the beloved

it is about the coldness of bread
and the hotness of coffee

less the cream and the sugar
nothing sweet really

you guess it: there is something bitter
not from the water (for why should water be bitter?)
not from the cup (is there such a cup which has a bitter taste?)

guess further: you are wrong.
it is bitter, it is really bitter.

it comes from the heart. Not from the saucer
or the spoon.

it is the heart that is bitter. do not attempt
tasting it.

it can be toxic because it is mine.

Love is not love

Love is not love when you fall in love

The love poems that are littered in every literature

Are sheer cries of the egotistic flesh

For the gratification of the self at the cost of the addressee

Hence love poems in the right sense of the term

Are seldom composed by the youth

Love is love only when it seeks the happiness of the addressee

Not to gratify the egotistic senses of the addressor

It is the grandfather who knows true love

With him all the children are dear ones

An agony of love tears his heart

He wants to embrace all of them

Everytime I walk down the street
I see lots of idiocy

feeling empty
i sense you

No Regrets

I have no regrets for loving you.
There is nothing different that I would do.
I have no regrets for loving you
for my love has turned into
long time peace that came my way
and ever the chance to have my say
everything that's been on my mind.

Do you have regrets for loving me?
Is there anything different you'd do?
Do you have regrets for loving me
after all that we've been through?

Angry times and foolish words
that sometimes made us sad
gave me all that I needed to know
that things were never that bad.

The Wind Whispers

The wind whispers to me,
It tells me things,
Things about you that I didn’t know before,
It reminded me of all the good times we had together,
It makes me sad to think that you’re not here any more.

It reminded me of the day we met,
Out in the rain, soaking wet,
You offered me your umbrella,
And I fell in love with you that night.

We had lots of fun days after that,
Until you went and said goodbye,

Living in a dream world
exciting adventures, many travels
covering the world abroad
many new lands to explore
from the Midwest to the far east
deep south to the north pole
lots of countries to discover
people to learn from to share with
language barriers to be broken
cultures to beckon with
so many different ones
all in common is life to live
dreams of happiness and health
goals to be made and broken
promises and lies all around
love and hatred bound us all
new friendships to develop
some sincere, others temporary
in the end the adventures
create new ones
many doors to open, lots closed behind
adventures in a dream world that come true
only if you don't have to dream it
to become true
live it, discover it, Enjoy it
make it come real
