Being Undecided

when one is really undecided
(about what i need not tell you
i guess you experience this
matter of indecision somehow
as shallow us what flavor of ice cream
to choose from that
glass casing of frozen
items; . but hopefully you must
realize there are other matters
deeper than
vanilla or chocolate)

one becomes a floater in the
eye
you see black birds where there
are none
flying just below
your eyelids

when you continue being undecided
for years
what happens is that
the years bury you
the days stages a funeral march
for you
imaginary
since in reality there are no
people and
there are no flowers
and the dirge cannot
really be heard
by the priest that stands
there like
a scapegoat
to your
trembling hands

poor guy! they tell you at your
back
and you know this
but what can you really do

precisely,
you are still
that silly undecided
lazy
bone.

Days Of Farewall

Be careful How you walk
These days are evil Look how you talk
I hear there are people that are listening
This mystery Is up to you
So you be careful What you do
I know There are people who are wondering
These are the days of farewell
Halfway undecided That's our peace That's our peace
Be careful The friends you keep
He might not really Be your friend
He belongs To the wishing and the wandering
Be careful Too much at stake
You don't want ever To be wronged
Don't you ever Let the dirty business make you clean
These are the days of farewell
Halfway undecided That's our peace Amen Amen
Glory be to God I will bless the Lord at all times
His words shall continually be in my mouth with praise
For I am here today 'cause He said that I would live
There's no reason why HIV shouldn't have missed my daughter and my life
But it did Through the eyes of God, he saw fit for me to be here
I will praise the Lord at all times
As we live in the last days the Devil will always be up under my feet
And I will praise his name
Hallelujah
Don't you pretend To be something
That you are not Hear me my friend
I'll tell you what I know It will only sicken you
Let us be grateful For what you've got
Help me to know What I am not
Of my friend There are people who are wondering
These are the days of farewell
It's undecided It's undecided
Oh my friend Oh my friend Oh my friend
My friend My friend My friend
It's undecided
Too much Too much Too Much
Too much at stake for you and me

Undecided

First you say you do
And then you dont
And then you say you will
And then you wont
Youre undecided now
So what are you gonna do?
Now you want to play
And then its no
And when you say youll stay
Thats when you go
Youre undecided now
So what are you gonna do?
Ive been sitting on a fence
And it doesnt make much sense
cause you keep me in suspense
And you know it
Then you promise to return
When you dont
I really burn
Well, I guess Ill never learn
And I show it
If youve got a heart
And if youre kind
Then dont keep us apart
Make up your mind
Youre undecided now
So what are you gonna do?

Hey people
I can't seem to make up my mind
Cause I'm undecided
You're the reason why
My delay is just a way of telling you that I
I love you
Go away
I hate you
No please stay
I want you
I'm so undecided
So divided inside of me
Hey baby
Suddenly I found that my whole world is turned upside down
And I'm broken hearted
I confess the crime
Who can free this heart of me?
Till then I know
That I

Chocolate And Vanilla Swirl

When I was a child
I spoke, thought, reasoned as a child
My favorite treat on a hot summer day
Was a chocolate vanilla ice cream swirl
I'd have it for every meal if I had my way.

When I became a women
Grown and mature
I put aside all childish things
Everything but my love
For chocolate vanilla swirl
My only indulgence to my inner girl.

Not so very long ago
That swirl of chocolate and vanilla
Melded in a way I'd never dreamed of
Ice melted by fire
Our trust and desire
Sweetly blended
Bodies so entwined
It couldn't be said
Where we began or ended.

Looking back at our time together
The years have flown by in a whirl
As we allowed our indulgence
To lose ourselves
In the sweetness of our
Chocolate and vanilla swirl.

I hope there is forever
In this special connection
Of this chocolate boy and vanilla girl.

Time Has A Way Of Flying By

Even I am sometimes on the fence,
With admitting whether or not my commitment...
To my creativity is sincere and real.
Afterall...
I've only been associated with it,
For over 60 years.
And that doesn't seem long at all.

Perhaps if I am given 60 more...
I should be definite about my feelings.
Since time has a way of flying by,
To leave many undecided as to what they enjoy.
But who knows what the future holds?
Maybe something else will find a way,
To come along and distract me to get my attention.

If I Were Ice Cream

 Wat flavor would I be
Would I be a classic like vanilla strawberry or chocolate some times i wanna run away with the goodness in my pocket. Ive been described as  rocky road mmmm  velvety chocolate and so sweet. my life hasn't always been easy so it makes since to me I'm soft but a little nutty talking about this icecreams making me hungry.

I wonder why icecream can be so comforting. But at the same time it's Different on the taste buds of everything. My taste buds scream loud for ice cream. But as human we don't realize how much we use that thing we use ice cream for broken hearts icecream has a way to cheer us up it's also used on a hot summer day to cool us off alil as the sun goes away.

what flavor best describes you
I love all types of ice cream so that means (I love you to) as I think of all the extravagant types that sit on the tip of the tongue man there's not even enough days on the earth to try every last one. I love flavors there all unique each one is different

That Open-ended Novel...

is that the way you want to end
a story? nothing definite,
not the usual one, where the hero stands
against the sun
and then his lady comes and kisses him
and then
The End with the matching music
that satisfies the heart
that justice is served
and that once again the good has
triumphed.

how did you end our story?
you left me hanging upon a cliff
and the audience did not see how i fell
from a thousand feet
and smash my head on the rocks below
and how my blood oozed
and squirted and
make the sea red.

what kind of writer are you?
you left the last page blank.
the monitor is anxious and the keys
are idle still for hours

until there was a blackout
and the computer's off.

for days the blog is left undecided.
for years the last lines waited.

i guess that is how you wanted it
very much like life

individualist, one can make or unmake oneself
smashed the little bird
or set it free from your hands that hold it
there is this will
this human will

and i the actor of your novel
must use it now.

Undermind

Undecided, undefined
Undisturbed yet undermined
Relocated not retired
Reprimanded and rewind
Mystified and misshapen
Misinformed but not mistaken
Reinvented, redefined
Rearranged but not refined
Unrelenting, understroked
Undeterred yet unprovoked
Reinvented, redefined
Rearranged but not refined
Mystified and misshapen
Misinformed but not mistaken
Undecided, undefined.

The process of learning,
Becomes more valued upon observation...
And the acknowledgement of truth!

Reality should remove conditions for debate.
It would seem to aid those in doubt.
With little to figure out.

But many refuse to see...
What 'is' for what it 'is'.
As they seek confirmation,
For their delusions kept!

And that is why so many are left,
To choose the more painless side of life.
While wishing to live it to remain undecided.

If I Only Knew

Ow!!
Yeah ...
Yeah
Home grown, on the bone
All the channels show the same old war zone
As I walk alone in the city
Makin me an offer, now dont they look pretty
New cinema
Live action, all the noise of attraction beats up
On the streets, the sellers do mark up
Better than tellin em off, dont stock up
Shark, they dont bite
All that matters is youre not here tonight
And now that I wonder
Am I gonna dig a hole ten feet under
Under sea, under you, under we, undivided,
Undecided
[chorus:]
If I only knew
What I could do
To make you, make you love me
To make you make you love me
If I only knew
What I could do
To make you make you love me
To make you make you love me
Up north where the snow grows colder
I travel onward cross the border
Looked up a girl that I once knew frozen
To be the follower of the deity
Make myself scarce while they
Come to plea bargain
For my body and soul
All the flames go around, surround me
I wont go
I need the ozone
I wanna cuddle up behind your backbone
I never stay long where Im not wanted
I fell haunted
Yo brother
Where ya gonna go
Back to the warzone
To break down the walls
[chorus:]
If I only knew
What I could do
To make you, make you love me
To make you make you love me
If I only knew
What I could do
To make you make you love me
To make you make you love me
If I only knew
What I could do
To make you, make you happy
To make you make you happy
If only I knew what I should do, yeah
To make you make you love me
I bared my soul to the golden traces
Went to the forest of the holy places
And now I wonder
Am I gonna dig a hole ten feet under
Under sea, under me, under you, under we, undivided,
Undecided
Yeah ... yeah
(vocal breakdown)
If I only knew
What I could do
To make you happy
To make you make you happy
If I only knew
What I should do
To make you make you happy
To make you make you happy
If I only knew
What I could do
To make you, make you love me
To make you make you love me
If I only knew
What I should do
To make you make you love me
If I only knew what I should do
If I only knew what I should do

Letter to Annie Far Away

Every evening,
up in my rooom,
I try to finish a poem
but Chicago is hot
and it's better outside,
strolling along the Lake
or driving anywhere
with the windows down.

You sound good,
if undecided about things.
My life gets better
no matter how hard I try
to make it worse.
No medicine
for a month now;

no poems, either.
I can't recall my last
spontaneous erection.
I'd blame it all on the heat
but you'd know better.

Summer in Chicago
makes people accessible
and I've become chatty
in these later years.
I find that small talk

with people oiled
and stretched like tarps
on Pratt Avenue Beach
trumps any summer attempt
at revising a poem winter
revisions never made right.

We'll see if my new affair
with society lasts.
How long will I
continue to meet strangers
who introduce me
to myself?

People Mediocre Later Weep

Give up your best,
To the one you are sure will catch it.
Don't just give it up...
To anyone who 'might' fetch it!

Give up your best,
To the one you are sure will catch it.
Don't just give it up...
To anyone who 'might' fetch it!

People undecided don't know what it is they want.
So don't give up your best...
To anyone to fetch,
It.

People mediocre will choose anything to flaunt,
Without a knowing what they want.
Thinking anything that gleems,
Is a 'keeper'.

People undecided don't know what it is they want.
So don't give up your best...
To anyone to fetch,
It.

Give up your best,
To the one you are sure will catch it.
Don't just give it up...
To anyone who 'might' fetch it!

People mediocre will choose anything to flaunt,
Without a knowing what they want.
Thinking anything that gleems,
Is a 'keeper'...
To later weep.

People mediocre will choose anything to flaunt,
Without a knowing what they want...
To later weep.
In their misery.

People mediocre,
Later weep...
Without a sleeping.
People mediocre,
Later weep.

People mediocre,
Can not sleep.
And...
People mediocre often weep,
In their misery.

What are we? what can we become?

We can be just snails if we want to,
But we can be sparrows too,
We must choose, we cannot just be silent
& undecided
Forever,
If we choose to be snails
Then we will know what we want
We want a river and some palms
To plan our slow travels,
If we choose to be sparrows then
We at least know what to do next,
We shall grow beaks, and wings, and
Soon we need the sharp claws too
To defend ourselves

At least we also know what we need,
Just nests to lay our small eggs,
Twigs of trees to rest upon
Our weary bodies,

We choose what we are
To become what we can be,
We start on that decision, and then
We will see what suits us
To be the best from the rest,
Who still ask

What are we? what can we become?
