Glass Skin

Another epidermis, a glass skin,
Layers over your body and we are
Separated. You're sheltered deep within
Glass skin.

Your paneled eyes have been drifting thus far
From what I see. When did distance begin
To draw you from me and into that jar,

That crystalline casing? Where have you been?
Why can't I understand your avatar,
Your transparent screen as it holds you in
Glass skin?

Explorations: XXXI

Skin morphs into
A vulnerable leaf
In the face of passion
And paralyzing fever

Skin feels a textured
Piece of unique art
Tempting one to touch
When just bathed

There's no difference
Between the landscape
And the skin when
Both are fresh

Skin,
Potent communicator
Of the subtle body language
Ah, the skin!

The treasure
Skin hides like
The deep ocean blue
What's skin deep?

Castle of glass

Take me down to the river bend
Take me down to the fighting end
Wash the poison from off my skin
Show me how to be whole again
Fly me up on a silver wing
Past the black where the sirens sing
Warm me up in a nova's glow
And dropp me down to the dream below
'Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of
glass
Hardly anything there for you to see
For you to see
Bring me home in a blinding dream,
Through the secrets that I have seen
Wash the sorrow from off my skin
And show me how to be whole again
'Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of
glass
Hardly anything there for you to see
For you to see
'Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of
glass
Hardly anything else I need to be
'Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of
glass
Hardly anything there for you to see
For you to see
For you to see

Glass war, glass war, glass war, glass war, it's a glass war
Glass war, glass war, it's a glass war
Glass war, glass war
It's a glass war
Cause you can see right through the poisen
It's a glass war
Cause we all know the activeties
It's a glass war
Cause it's made of smoke and mirrors
It's a glass war
It's a glass war
It's a glass war
Cause only poor men are dyin in the
Gas war
Cause we know why it was started
It's an ass war
Cause the president's an asshole
It's an ass war
It's a glass war
It's a gas war
Cause the starters are all victims of the
Glass war
The slogan men were starters of the
Last war
Now the southern men are starters of the
Glass war
It's a Glass War
It's a Glass war
And the shards are gunna start another glass war
And the shards are gunna start another glass war
And the shards are gunna start another glass war
And the shards are gunna start another glass war
And the shards are gunna start another glass war
It's a glass war

We fit into each other

We fit into each other
and it is pure passion,
perfect like light on glass
with bodies, hands
and feelings touching deeper.

There’s JC Le Roux champagne in a glass
and the red sparkles like fire
burning deep in your eyes
while you shake your head
spreading your hair over your shoulders.

Later you lipstick
is on the edge of a glass,
while I pour some more champagne for you
and the smoke of your cigarette
spirals up into the air

and I see your perfect body
before you draw me nearer to you
and I feel your soft skin
with nipples pointing into my chest
with your breath soft against my cheek.

In your sleep your turn against me,
lying with an arm stretched over my body
and it’s as if your lips are muttering words
while your face looks pure and chaste
like that of a small girl.

The next day I find
a brown hair-clip in my bed,
on the pillow there’s a mark of red lipstick
and my sheets smell of you.

The hot hot sun

The hot hot sun
bakes
my skin skin skin
irksome infants
make
a din din din
could get under
my skin skin skin.
No
take a breath
a deep belly breath
let your diaphragm do the work
vorsprung durch inhallation
the oxygen bubbles into my blood
the heat touches my
bones
my mind absorbs those mutual benefits
slows, calms, immersed a gentle euphoria
and the warmth of the breeze embraces
I feel the joy joy joy
of the sun sun sun
on my skin skin skin
on this hot hot day!

Skin

This is someone elses story
Someone that I never knew
This is someone elses body
Am I getting through to you
If you peel away the armor is something underneath
If you look below for hidden treasure underneath another layer
Are you hiding underneath the skin
Chorus
If you peel away the skin is there anybody there
If you peel away the skin is there anybody there
If you peel away the armor is it too late to begin
Is there anybody hiding if you peel away the skin
Now a spark has passed between us now
A momentary recognition
Something lost and something gained
And something shared that feels strange
Something cold that will not go away
Theres a heart as cold as ice
In a vault thats made of stone
Over years the walls got higher
Over years the walls have grown
Is there anybody in there in this self inflicted tomb
If you peel away the layers is there someone in this room
If you peel away the skin, if you peel away the skin
This is someone elses story
Someone that I never knew
This is someone elses body
Am I getting through to you

Inside Beauty

It's not in the mirror
Or on the outside
For you to see
It's in the inside and
It's visible for all to see
It doesn't matter,
How pretty you are
Because inside beauty
Is only skin deep
It's beneath layers
Of skin muscle and bone
It stands alone
It's all you need
Not name brand clothes
The inside makes you
Yeah it's true
The heart, lungs, and brain
Are all inside of you
There are other important parts too
When the body begins to age
It isn't just
Looks that fade
A body begins to wrinkle
It looks different to people
Inside beauty never fades
If it changes with age
It gets better with time
Like a fine wine or like
A valuable painting's worth
There's nothing like it
On the planet earth

New Warm Skin (demo)

One fatal gift
Arrived here today
Heavenly sent
From the beauticians that pray
Here comes that face
And it's a textural treat
Is this a war?
Is this a god?
New
Warm
Skin
New
Warm
Expensive to touch
It's a novocaine skin
Beauty; this beast
Is transparent and thin
This sun can be cruel
I don't want to melt
Is this a war?
Is this a god?
New Warm Skin
New Warm Skin
New Warm Skin
New Warm
One fatal gift
Arrived here today
Contorted dreams
Of the beauticians that pray
Crawling out of this heat
And drifting this way
Is this a war?
Is this a god?
New Warm Skin
New Warm Skin
New Warm Skin
Is this a war?
Is this a god?

When I heard that trees grow a new 'ring' for each year they live, I thought, we humans are kind of like that we grow a new layer of skin each year, and after many years we are thick and unwieldy from all of our skin layers.

Second Skin

The bullets deep, Im not dreaming,
The blood I keep, while youre healing.
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Second skin.
Youre riding high, you wont be falling
Dont look behind, Im crawling.
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Oh you could have been born to swim,
You could have been born to camouflage.
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Does it pull ? a ring around your finger ?
Does it hurt ? and will it linger on ?
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Have you have you have you have you x5

Beneath the Skin a caustic red river
Beneath the Skin corrosive abuser
Beneath the Skin genetic in rupture
Beneath the Skin all cold and hungered
Beneath the Skin a still born forgiveness
Beneath the Skin cell transfer in whispers
Beneath the Skin a lover cries murder
Beneath the Skin all cold and hungered
Beneath the Skin i wasted this moment
Beneath the Skin old undiscovered
Beneath the Skin another lies ruptured
Beneath the Skin all cold and hungered

A Poem Sliding Down the Glass-pane

I look around
And retrieve to
My regular corner
The glass widow
Overlooking the sky

Everyday
Every afternoon
I looked at the baked glass
With its coat of dirt
In expectation

The clear sky
Always giving me
An apologetic glance

Lo, this morning
As the clouds dimmed
The corner, hope revived

The sky didn't let me down
The rain lashed and lashed

The rain slid down the glass-pane
Like water droplets
On the freshly bathed skin!

Glass Shatters

The glass has a flimsiness, frailty of course,
Do not deceive me with fraudulence or fraud.
Glass shatters from impulses,
Glass has love for the actions,
This glass I hold and dropp reminds.

The frantic wept, as no other weeper,
The fraternity has evaporated,
Never the escapade of shattering glass
Has gone by without returning,
And so the glass has an escapade.

This Body The Glass!

your fingers the match,
to light this candle...
they tremble as if
memory unsure.
your lips the wine,
this body the glass.
drink long and deep,
before the moment is gone!
this storm will break,
the earth ravaged with passion.
the grain deep in the wood
brings forth leaves from the void!
and love itself,
needs no reason or answer.
the candle chooses fire,
this body the glass!

Nothing Will Be As Wonderful

Nothing will be as wonderful, as that spring had been
the trees were full of flowers row upon row
the water in the channels reflected bright like glass

in the distance seagulls turned around a ship’s mast
flew away in lines above us.
Nothing will be as wonderful, as that spring had been

where your hand had fitted fine and precisely into mine
where I fell more intimately in love with you
the water in the channels reflected bright like glass

we had seen an otter splashing at rocks in the sea
while the boat floated recoiling over the sea.
Nothing will be as wonderful, as that spring had been

where now I reach in vain for you
and forever you are separated from me,
the water in the channels reflects bright like glass

while the hot spring rain, wash away my tears
with dire pain cutting through me;
nothing will be as wonderful, as that spring had been
the water in the channels reflects bright like glass.

Old Gray House

Weathered widows wet from rains,
cracks all around the glass and pains,
dryed like old skin,
worn as the paint is now thin,
the glass is musty with dust and stained,
so hard to look inside,
this old abode,
falling apart,
I once live here in this house,
now falling apart and old.

Deep And Down....

the mercies of sleep
to the repentant busy man
on
deep down deep
to the peace
of sleep

it is
different there
the family waits for dinner
and everyone is
pleasing

food is abundant
and kids are behaving
mothers watch
as fathers drink the wine
and puff the smoke of their
Cuban cigars

one soul there
having the same face as you
ethereal body
drinks the glass of wind
and eats
the body of the sea

it is different there
i tell you

you are there
but you think it is not you
until you wake up
and begin to recall the
symptoms

of what you miss
the glass of wind
the body of the sea

Arriving At The Island... Alone

the boat takes you to the island
the only person there
is you,
the coconut trees rise to the sky
and the white sand spreads
there is a bed
and blanket
and pillow and the glass of wind

and you embrace the body of the sea
and they
who think that you better be left alone
as you like it
have long left everything there

and you put your body down
clothes on the white sands
skin on the tree
and bones under the rocky shorelines

you close your eyes
and begin to fly away
into the abyss of
solitude.
