Ang tubag ni Dr. Dante Antigua sa akong balak nga white-breasted bird

SA DIHANG MIANTUG AKO NIINING BALAK
KABAHIN SA white breasted bird, to wit:

a white-breasted bird
sits on a twig
of the champaca tree

alone
always alone always

MIBALOS BAYA DAYON si Dante ug
Siya miingon, to wit:

Started reading a crony's poem
excited and determined
in the middle of nowhere
Stopped.
Eyes became heavier
tedium overpowered
the mind in turmoil
maybe start in the morning
with immensely rested mind

bravo! bravo! bravo!
for all the hardwork
those poems to be shared
for everone to accolade

ug ako mobalos pagtubat: towit, towit twit twit
twit twit

lupad akong spirit
of the glass
lupad.

The Air is a Root

The air is a root.
The stones are filled with tenderness. bravo.
bravo. the stones are filled with air.
the stones are watery branches.
on the stones replacing the mouth
grows the skeleton of a leaf. bravo.
A stone voice face to face and foot to foot
with a stone glance.
the stones are tormented like flesh
the stones are clouds for their second
nature dances to them on their third nose.
bravo. bravo.
when the stones scratch themselves, nails grow
on the roots. bravo. bravo.
the stones woke to eat the exact
hour

When Wives Get Upset......[Marriage; Short; Humor? ; Personal]]

There are times when my wife has a fit.
Then she treats me like a twit.
Or worse she treats me like a cur.
What did I ever do to her? ?

Of course it is HER house.
So I must cower like a mouse.
She may pinch, poke, and punch.
I must 'eat it' like it is lunch.

‘Cause if I don't I may find,
she will treat me even LESS kind.
Well at times I may deserve it all.
Many men have made the fall......from grace.

Tonight was just such a night.
I yelled at her and that ain't right!
I WAS both a twit AND a cur.
How can I make it up to her? ?

Maybe I can't and that IS bad.
It even makes me a LITTLE sad.
Well, I'm only a man. What's your guess?
I think women should just expect LESS.......from men.

I was familiar with that and 'Rio Bravo.' 'Rio Bravo' was what John Carpenter did, that brilliant move of taking a western and turning it into an urban flick. And from there you got, you know, all the cop genre movies of the time.

Poem about Poetry - the bird belting out a poem

twilight amusement
the different IQs
that make their way
to my room
dividing the world
in the form of chirp
chirp, chirp, chirp
in so many styles
and tones and syllables,
some extended,
some short broken notings
as diverse as the blooms in the garden
warbling, twittering, twit, tweedling, chirping
chirping, chirp
the singing IQ chart
try, try, try, you never know
how good you are if you never try
the varying quality bird songs
from the large garden tree
each bird's chirp
a humble contribution
from a little creation
each chirp divides the world
at morn, at dusk
what a delight to the ears, mind
simple short noted twitter
long extended mutli-toned varied tweedle
the varying quality poems
those chirpy nature poems
by celebrity birds
the like of sylvia plath,
and proletarian birds
the like of impoverished citizens
of the world

i take a look again
eye to eye
to that white-breasted

it flies away in the middle of the rain
leaving a leaf
falling

this time it is the leaf
always alone
always to the bottom of the
wet empty ground

The Ballerina

The frightened ballerina,
standing on her toes
stood behind the curtain
in a dainty pose.
Having practiced faithfully
hour after hour,
inside her heart was pounding.
Outside her muscled power
overcame her fear.

The overture now playing,
each note was in her ear.
And as the curtain opened
it took away her fear.
The stage, the lights
became her love.
Each pirouette and leap
took her way above
into a different sphere.

The audience, mesmerized,
intent on every motion,
appreciation on their faces
showed deep emotion.
And as the music ended
she took her final bow.
No longer was
she frightened,
in fact emboldened now.
She knew why she was here.

To dance, to dance
at every given chance.
To hear the applause
and hear them call her name.
And so the ballerina
standing on her toes
so graceful and dainty
is awed as she does hear.
'Bravo, bravo,
bravo, my dear.'

The Smart Ass

Tis' hidden from the great and wise
Just what a smart ass knows
And I was ass-tounded when I learned
The truthful tail his record shows

For despite the reputation
Of being just a twit
The bray betrays in such a way
Of knowing quite a bit

Twas he who saved mad Balaam
From the righteous wrath of God
For fools rush in on hob nailed shoes
Where asses and angels fear to trod

When Christ the Lord was born on earth
When God became a man
It took the ass to take them inn
His humble stall brought forth God's plan

So if anyone would ask you
Just why an ass is smart
The answer lies behind those eyes
That take God's word to heart

Are you blind or can you see
The plan of God unfold?
Or will you fall like Balaam did
Though by an ass you too were told?

For though this poem is silly
Its message rings so true
Mule it over in your mind
Just what kind of an ass are you?

Make me understand, Please

Make me understand
In my language please
In gesture in posture
Please make me understand
I am a tiny creature.

I have no present
I have no past no future
You can see me here
I have no capacity
To move or to twit
Or to hear
I am here
Doing nothing
I am a mere server.

Ambot Og Nahinumdom Pa Ba Si Marcelino

Dili nato angay
Kompyansahan ang mga tungaw sa kagahapon.

Though no sun shines a son’s lines no whim!
Let our stars spin together,
for fair future we’ll weather
when Sir loin lies out on a limb.”

“Your a wit”, she replied, teasing him,

Birdbrain

I am but a fool
To love you so
Simply a fool
I should have let go

I am but a fool
A ninny, a nit
I am but a fool
A birdbrain, a twit

I am just a bonehead
A halfwit, a boob
I am but a dimwit
A silly old goose

But I just can't help it…
My heart's made that way
I'll still love tomorrow
What I've loved so today…

Kaninyo mangamoyo ug dyotay
Nga kalooy.

Ug dayon magsugod ako ug basa ug
Litok sa akong mga pulong
Sa inyong atubangan sa tumang kangitngit
Pagkahuman gayod sa tanan ania

Ako kaninyo
Moyukbo
mohalok sa inyong mga
tiil diha
sa yuta.

Nangita sa iyang

Ra baya pod unta
Sa dihang siya
Giayog kasaba

Gihandom niya ang

Ang lalom nga suba

Sa tumang kalipay

Little White Bird

little white bird
now that i have set you free
from my hands

to the winds you shall go
to its whims shall you be

search the skies
map out your freedom
be carefree

little bird
do not look back
i am in the prison walls of my mind
still thinking about your white wings
feeling each feather
in every patch of my skin

little bird, little white bird
how pure was that love?

The Fifteen Acres

I
I cling and swing
On a branch, or sing
Through the cool, clear hush of Morning, O!
Or fling my wing
On the air, and bring
To sleepier birds a warning, O!
That the night's in flight,
And the sun's in sight,
And the dew is the grass adorning, O!
And the green leaves swing
As I sing, sing, sing,
Up by the river,
Down the dell,
To the little wee nest,
Where the big tree fell,
So early in the morning, O!

II
I flit and twit
In the sun for a bit
When his light so bright is shining, O!
Or sit and fit
My plumes, or knit
Straw plaits for the nest's nice lining, O!
And she with glee
Shows unto me
Underneath her wings reclining, O!

And I sing that Peg
Has an egg, egg, egg,
Up by the oat-field,
Round by the mill,
Past the meadow,
Down the hill,
So early in the morning, O!

III
I stoop and swoop
On the air, or loop
Through the trees, and then go soaring, O!
To group with a troop
On the gusty poop
While the wind behind is roaring, O!
I skim and swim
By a cloud's red rim
And up to the azure flooring, O!
And my wide wings drip
As I slip, slip, slip,
Down through the rain-drops,
Back where Peg
Broods in the nest
On the little white egg,
So early in the morning, O!

Let Me Get To The Point

Let me get to the point,
And not be a twit about this!
Someone,
I don't know who it was...
Or when it happened.
But...
Someone came into my home,
And rifled through my sox...
To mix them up on purpose.

That's the only explanation there is,
As to 'why' I can not seem to find...
A matching pair.

I would blame my nephew,
Landry.
But he already thinks,
I am not mentally stable.

And...
He 'thinks' he knows EVERYTHING.
About ANYTHING.
Well...
I would say that runs through the family.
But he does play the role of Sherlock.
A lot.

He has not said this to me directly,
However...
He has given me a certain 'look'.
Whenever he believes I've been out of touch.
I would accuse my niece, Shayla.
But she would go on and on,
About me being forgetful.

Therefore,
It just has to be someone else.
But 'who',
Would do such a thing?

Sa dihang akong gikalibang ang balak

Naghinuktuk
Nag-atubang sa
Concrete wall
Walay specific
Nga gihunahuna
Kay kada
Buntag baya
Ako malibang

Miutong
Tubol baya
Ang unang
Gikalibang
Hapit magisi
Ang akong
Anus

Misunod ang
Medyo tubigon
Igit agi
Siguro sa
Hinog nga
Kapayas
Nga akong
Nakaon kagabii

Ug nahuman
Ang tanan
Apan sa dili
Pa iflush
Ako usab
Gireview ug
Tan-aw

Walay mais
Wa baya koy
Nakaon nga
Mais gahapon

Humay baya
Ang among
Kinaon

Walay luha
Sa akong igit
Apan yuna Pa

Adunay pula nga
gakumpol
Sa akong tubol

Dugo?
Wa man koy
Nakaon nga
Dugo

Dugo gayod
Aduna gayod diay
Dugo ang
Gikalibang ko
Nga balak.
