An Old Woman With A Straw Hat

an old woman with a straw hat
and rotten clothes
deep eyes
bony cheeks
barefooted and cracking lips
and stinking odor
like a dead fish thrown
on the market canal
this morning as i meet her
is asking me
who is the owner of the sky
and the earth
and the sea and the mountains
and the grass
and the trees and the birds
and goats and pigs and
root crops

she is asking me where he lives
and if he is still alive
she has many questions for the owner
of all these
for until now
she remains to own nothing

Owner Of A Lonely Heart

Move yourself
You always live your life
Never thinking of the future
Prove yourself
You are the move you make
Take your chances win or loser
See yourself
You are the steps you take
You and you - and thats the only way
Shake - shake yourself
Youre every move you make
So the story goes
Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Much better than - a
Owner of a broken heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Say - you dont want to chance it
Youve been hurt so before
Watch it now
The eagle in the sky
How he dancin one and only
You - lose yourself
No not for pitys sake
Theres no real reason to be lonely
Be yourself
Give your free will a chance
Youve got to want to succeed
Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Much better than - a
Owner of a broken heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
After my own decision
They confused me so - owner of a lonely heart
My love said never question your will at all
In the end youve got to go
Look before you leap - owner of a lonely heart
And dont you hesitate at all - no no
Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Much better than - a
Owner of a broken heart
Owner of a lonely heart
(repeat)
Owner of a lonely heart
Sooner or later each conclusion
Will decide the lonely heart - owner of a lonely heart
It will excite it will delight
It will give a better start - owner of a lonely heart
Dont deceive your free will at all
Dont deceive your free will at all - owner of a lonely heart
Dont deceive your free will at all
Just receive it

House

House without owner
Beyond imagination
Owner without house
Not full culmination.
If owner is not here
Imagine the condition.
What is the value of
The owner is house
Is not here.

The Mining Story

they scraped the hills
with trees
the green grasses of homes
are gone
they dug those big holes
looking for
metals

manganese, gold,
for your jewelries
and other accessories
coal for your
fuels

the natives are dislocated
the children lost their birds
chickens and pigs are butchered
for they have no place
to stay

the hills are like criminals
their heads cut off
the trails here are like
intestines
penetrating the
belly of this
earth

listen! do you hear the drunkards
the government and mining firms!
listen! do you hear the sounds of guns
and the last living screams of the
chieftains
the mayors whom they voted
betrayed them

listen! do you hear the explosions
of bombs
the mountains are cracking
skulls
brains are spilling on the
rocks

listen! do you hear the guards coming
with their M-16s
and barking dogs

Run! Run! Run for your lives
Lest you forget
We are the last chickens and
pigs alive

Do not look back

Those are the children and wives
of the chieftains
Those are the hungry natives
begging in the cities

Their Homes gone
Their Hopes shattered

Before You

Supposing Death
to be a woman

what then?
She asked

would you embrace it
as willingly as you do me?

The afternoon sun
seemed to hang

in the sky
like a child's balloon

as you lay that day
in the tall grass

maybe
you said

if it had eyes
and a smile like yours

and she pulled
a stem of grass

and placed between lips
and stared above

as birds flew
to and fro

and would you go
willingly into the dark

as you do with me
into this tall grass?

You turned to face her
taking in

her blue eyes
and cheeks

maybe
if it allowed me

to kiss as good
as you do

and as long
and she turned over

took out
the stem of grass

and kissed your lips
welcome to Miss Death

she said
and you both laughed

and lay back
gazing at the summer sky

a deep blue
not knowing then

death would come for her
long before

it would ever
come for you.

Emoting A Landscape

the rice paddies are dead, they have been long cracking
drying under the cruelty of the summer sun scorching every leaf and pebble
as the mud fish buries itself under for another hibernation

the trees are not complaining compliant with the strong dry wind
from the bald and browning mountain peaks towering to kiss the clouds

the pathways are bare and vacant for no child comes out and plays on the fields
the carabaos are kept under the shadows of the mahogany trees while the man

near the well bathes naked as the woman pretends to wash the dirty clothes
someone peeps with mad eyes, ready with his bolo behind the thick bush.

The Difference Between A Rooster And A Man

on the grass i see this rooster wearing a thick red comb,
tall for its lowly status, and well muscled as may be gleaned from the
thickness of its black, red and white feathers

how can he notice me stopping by to observe it
when its attention is focused on two slender hens
one is red the other white getting near it
and without any inhibition at all he copulated on each
of those two slender hens, quickly as a quickie

i can imagine in a few days, the two hens cackle with
lots of eggs for the owner now prepared with a big basket
to bring the produce to a crowded market

if i as a man does what a rooster does, you very well know
what happens next

it will be the people of this republic v. ric
and his dismissal from the government service

it makes me think however, on the other hand, the happiness of
the owner selling more eggs in the market because the rooster
had been kind and obliging to the two hens and the other hens in the yard

what about it God?

Sex sans marriage

Man holds
That he is the owner of the house
And the horse both of which he has bought.
No dispute.
He thinks he owns woman he has married.
He thinks he is the owner of her body too.
It leads to sex slavery.

Sunday Morning Despite the Hectic Shedule

today the mountains are well dressed
with green grass and trees
the flocks of sheep and goats and cows
crowd with its abundance
the sun shines brightly and the sea afar
is a horizon so tranquil
the birds are coming to feed on the grains
clouds meet on the top of the hill
today all of them are joyful
praising the wonders of creation

today God is felt.

Laputa

Inspired by the epic anime,
'Laputa, Castle in the Sky',
I decided to build my own castle,
A castle that would fly!

At first I tested some bricks,
I lobbed them far and wide.
I lobbed them at my owner,
They hit him and he cried.

I tried with lumps of concrete,
And with some heavy breeze blocks.
I got a little despondent,
At the flightlessness of rocks.

But, I persevered.
I worked all day and night,
My owner made a bet that I would fail.
But I was finished by morning light.

I had built a flying castle!
My owner was rather heated.
He couldn't believe that I had won.
He claimed that I had cheated.

It was a flying castle,
as plain as any day.
My owner wasn't having it.
He's a bad loser, I'd say.

He said it wasn't real.
He said, 'It's not a proper thing, you loon!
'You've inflated a bouncy castle with helium'
'and made a big balloon! '

Dead Or Alive

There in the shadows, looks like a hand
Without its owner, to give it a command
Its got a purpose but I dont know what it is
Im in trouble
There in the streets, looks like a man
But something wrong that I dont understand
His eyes are open but he dont see a thing
His skin is peeling off, his bones are sticking out
Im getting scared
Oh my God (is it dead? )
Is it living? (is it dead? )
Is it dead or alive?
(is it dead? ), is it dead? (is it dead? )
Is it dead? (is it dead? )
Is it dead or alive?
Hiding in the cupboards, like little mice
Hiding in the frigerator, that isnt nice
Its not an animal, it dont have legs
No one else can see it
It moves so fast, corner of my eye
Look again its gone, its hiding
Wont somebody help me, doesnt anybody care?
It waits so patiently, for me to lose my guard
Im getting scared
Is it dead, is it
(is it dead)
Is it dead
(is it dead)
Is it dead or alive
(is it dead)
Is it dead
(is it dead)
Is it dead, is it
I remember there was a time
When dead and buried meant just that
Underneath the cold dark ground
Things stay put!
Oh them bones they make them bodies walk
Them bones, them bones
If they could only talk!
Is it dead (fade)

Small legendery joke

Maori fella walks into a dairy and asks for a tin of cat food. Indian dairy owner says 'Oh no - I am hearing about you Maori fellows and how you put cat food into pastry and call it meat pie. Please bring cat into shop for me to see and you can have cat food'. Maori fella says 'oh man, I don't even know where the cat is right now - probably chasing birds.' Indian dairy owner says 'No cat, no cat food'.
Maori fella sulks away from shop. Same guy comes in a week later and asks for a tin of dog food for his dog. Indian dairy owner gives him the same run down, 'No dog - no doggy food'. Maori fella is really upset and storms off. He comes back a couple of days later with a big plastic bag and slams it on the counter. The dairy owner says 'Oh what is this being please' and opens the bag and is overcome by the foul stench which from the now open bag. Maori fellah says, 'It's a bag of sh*t man, I want some toilet rolls! '

A Shih Tzu

It does seem to me a funny story though I cannot say if it is true
The one who told me not lacking in humor and that is to give him his due
'Tis one of those zoo sort of stories of how a man and his wife and their young son and daughter one sunday
Went to a small zoo in the suburbs from their home some five kilometres away
A warm afternoon in prime of Summer with only the slightest of breeze
The nesting songbirds chirped and whistled on the Parkland bushes and trees
The children they laughed in excitement a happy young girl and boy
Their zoo visit would be a highlight zoo visits most children enjoy
But the small zoo was a disappointment without birds and only one small dog there
A mangy dog who could do with brushing to remove the burs from his long hair
The father and mother of the children complained to the owner what sort of zoo is this supposed to be
We really think this is not funny since one mangy dog is all we can see
You certainly are not a zoo owner and this place it is not a zoo
But the owner he did seem offended saying read the sign on the gate a Shih Tzu.

Owner’s Attitude

we didn’t like
this owner’s attitude
too much hubris

insecure owner
can slice us up
blood sweat plus

but our true work
honour integrity
professionalism

it can never be owned
appreciated or stolen
remains source soul us

presenting us
through a narrow
artistic focus

praise favour
given as earned
slander stolen

we are weighed
by feather touch
compassion soul

fear strikes rage
power steals positions
dark souls rage

at choice best
choose submissions
affirming life

owner rejects
or chooses
simple choices

The Eyes Beyond

we have eyes
besides our eyes
that we see on us
the eyes that come alive
in the depth of the quiet night
when we know someone is
looking over us just nearby,
his focus ruffles that calmness
the ripple in the calm lake
our eyes meeting with
those invisible eyes
that send vibrations
through our soul
a synergy of mental energies
the eyes from beyond
that meet the eyes of my mind
could he be the almighty?
or the long lost loved ones?
i yearn for more sensors
to get closer to the owner
of those eyes that watch over
me in the middle of the night
those unseen eyes from beyond

Accept the fact
The fear that you have nothing to tell anymore
To amuse yourself

writers' block, shutting up, windows closing,
doors locked, mind shrinking,

like the fish vendor who sells rumors & rotten stories
To the streets
You go to the fish market today
Not buying any fish or selling any or even touching gills
so you can breathe

You’re looking for some
Salt
Taking notes of the fish scales discarded
Trashed
Some fish bones & broken fins

some fishermen catching
Broken hearts on their small eyed nets

You go back with fish fins
And fish tails, thick lips and round moving eyes

You will start with a mermaid story today.
