An Elocution....
we read
between the lines
we pause
we take in a lot of the other
we read them and they become a part of
our innards
we pause and we take sleep
a journey
into an imbibing
the roads are too many
but we choose only one
not necessarily the happy one
we take what
is only necessary
we take the stairs one by one
we count each
sorrow we leave each happy moment
like a landmark
we always surge
like a bus into the other end of the road
that never ends
we read between the lines
we become what is
between them
we do not understand how we become
we just become
buds, flowers, bees and
pools of
clear water
we are flowing and drained
we exude and then
we go
until we are finally gone
and we have forgotten
to ask who we are
and so
what right have we to
deserve the
answers
we go, and then we are finally gone
we are never
anyone.

Bilateral Agreements
and so you let me read your poems
after so many nights when you made
them and finally finished all the lines
and i too shall take my hidden pieces
and read them secretly inside my mind
and i will tell you that your lines are as
perfect as mine and that yours deserve
to fly to the skies like mine which have
already perched upon a tree and looking
tired. All of them wanting to sleep and die.

Thanks
Today, after going through your verses
It has become much easier to understand the path of life
Now I finally know, that it was a game for you
I cannot blame you, whatever your reasons may be
Finally, I have got the answers
The answers I had been waiting for so long
May be my destiny wanted me to read your actual thoughts
Now, yes I will actually love someone else
Since, after reading those dates when you wrote your thoughts
I know the answer of everything now.
I wish that I had read those thoughts of yours before
As unnecessarily I was torturing myself for so long
Now I know the truth as it is
Thank you My SAI BABA......You Actually Saved Me
This is the end of sorrow.
Goofy, is going to be born now
This sweet goofy will spread love, only love
She actually was never mine, now I know
From this moment on, I am single who is ready to finally mingle.

Faces
I cant read faces but i can read yours;
I know it when youre sad or happy,
not through your smile but through your eyes;
and the lines of your forehead,
and the lines of your cheeks...
they tell your secrets and then mystery unfolds.
The beauty of your chin...and the lines of your lips,
they tell me of something that hasn't been told.
Sometimes you laugh, but you're empty inside...
sometimes you frown, but your heart glowed with pride.
Sometimes serious, but your face
has something to hide.
I know coz your eyes tell me everything,
everything within your soul.
You have so many faces...
and i wonder if the world knows.
I wonder if they can read them,
or see what you conceal..
I wonder if they can see your mysteries...
secrets to steal.
And i wonder if they can look into
your eyes like open doors.
I know i cant read faces...
but i can read yours.

I read a book
I read a book
Not to enhance my looks
I read a book
Maybe to avoid being a crook
I read a book
Not just to learn how to cook
I read a book
To ascertain how to defend my rights
Not just to acquire knowledge
Reading a book I pledge,
Is one of the roads to the light
I read a book
To understand how a kings territory
Is defended with pieces such as the rook
I read a book
So there will be no questions asked
When I count correctly what you took
I read a book
So that I play not ignorant
Now on life I’ve a different outlook
I read a book
So if I come up with all the right answers
I will know for sure it is not merely a fluke

Who You Are To Me
if you read these lines this morning
these lines that miss you
these lines that say i love you
these lines are dying to touch you
to hug and kiss you
these lines that know every inch of you
if you read these lines well enough
then you know who i am

Read Between The Lines
i have finally took time to read between the lines
and see the problems to which i have been so blind
my mentor helped me when i cried to be heard
but he was teaching a lession he himself had never learned
helping the underdogs stay down
instead of turning there life around
blocking there view on possitive things
like relationships and wedding rings
so i read between these lines
into a new state of mind
i keep the past away
as tomorow is another day
Read Between The Lines
Uh hu
You got to read between the lines
You got to read between the lines
You got to read between the lines
Ah ah ah ah
Late afternoon
Its the sun going down
A call on the cell
Why is he in such a hurry
Leaving the room
Hes mumbling too
Now look what hes doing
Hes leaving out the room
No explanation
No ask for location
Just watching him pacing
Wonder who hes chasing
Looks like versation
The end of debation
Hed love to go swing and
(chorus)
You better open your mind
And read between the lines
Got to read between the lines
Got to read between the lines
Got to read between the lines
Hot in the morning
Im up waiting for breakfast
Know your getting restless
This fool is full of questions
Little replying
Whole lot of denying
Instead I feel life in
So why do you keep on trying
Touch for the median
Now hes a comedian
Thats all the more reason
Its changing like the season
Are you still pleasing
How soon youll be leaving
Which one hell be creeping
(chorus)
(bridge)
Your replies are getting old
Its in his eyes
Youve got to read between the lines
Your replies again told
Look in his eyes
Youve got to read between the lines
Your replies are getting old
Its in his eyes
Youve got to read between the lines
Your replies again told
Look in his eyes
Youve got to read between the lines
Dont really think your pulling one over me
Cause i
I know whats going on
Dont hope you wont be planning on running me
Cause ah cause ah
Ill be gone
Dont really think your pulling one over me
Cause i
I know whats going on
Dont hope you wont be planning on runing me
Cause ah cause ah
Ill be gone
Cause youre thinking
Your ___ aint mistaken
My temperatures peaking
Now why is you barely speaking
Busting his bubble
And he knows hes in trouble
Hes talking in doubles
I listen to him hardly believing
Changing the story
And trying to ignore me
Still reaching out for me
Still aint no point in reaching
Give me a reason
To put you back on the line
You wasted enough time
I had to open my mind
And read between the lines
Got to read between the lines
Got to read between the lines
Got to read between the lines

I Can Read Between The Lines
Roy orbison/joe melson
Girl I got your letter telling me youre coming home tonight
The lines were sweet and tender signed with all your love
Pretty words to make me feel alright
Then I read it over I got the feeling youre not completely mine
I held it to my chest, where you always rest
And I cried cos I can read between the lines
Between the lines I see youre making believe
But I cant help it, I still want you
Between the lines its plain youre playing that old game
But I still love you, and I cant change
Baby Ill be waiting at the downtown station right on time
Reaching out to hold you, the way I always do
Ill pretend that you are only mine
And while Im loving you I cant read between the lines
While Im loving you I cant read between the lines

You have seen my face
You have seen the way I smile the way I bend my back
My shoulder leaning on the door
As though greeting you
A nice day a promising future
The glow of sun
The coolness of the moon
The splash on the clear blue waters
By the pool
By the sea
The sail boat passing by
The ship on anchor
By the wharf
And the cotton clouds hanging
By the green mountains
The poems I write are sad
You read them and you cry
You say you relate
You say you feel
The sadness of my lines
Now you ask me
Who am i?
Was I the butterfly dreaming about the sad man?
Or was I the sad man dreaming about the butterfly?
You are confused
I am not; I choose what I want to be
I am what I am
This moment,
And the moments that you imagine me to be
I write what I want
I am what I am
The lines may be lying
But read them again
I may be somewhere in the lines between

Did You Understand It?
You've written something with several typographical errors.
And I question the correctness of your language usage.
Plus it had been written in mixed tenses.
I read it more than once.
And after the third reading it finally dawned on me,
You may have done this intentionally.
'Did you understand it?
What it was I tried to do? '
I'm not sure.
'How would you critique it? '
I don't know if I can.
'And you read it three times? '
At least.
'Why should I bother to correct it?
If 'you' read something I wrote...
THREE times?
And you have never expressed any interest before?
In anything I've ever done?
Why should I correct it?
This is the first time you and I have communicated,
In years.
Who knew...
All it took was a few errors,
To get you to give me what I have been wanting.
Here...
Read this! '
Your first and third lines rhyme.
But the rest of it...
Well,
I think this is a bunch of garbage.
'Thank you.
And all this time,
You had me believing...
You didn't care.'

Read It
Read the meaning behind the lines of truth,
So that your fortune grows, adjusts and produces.
Read the fellowship between a man and a woman
A woman and a man, the same that were together.
A vow has been managed, both are satisfied.
Marrying the people after agreement
Is loving and sweet, it is a plain love-affair!
We read between the lines that we read
To achieve our role in life that surrounds
Us.

An Ode To Marital Music
without you i know i will die
like a water bag ousted of
all its water
without you i know i will be
empty and disturbed and
lost like a child deprived
of its mother
without you i will not be
myself anymore i will just
be the ordinary man
on the street
stripped of a name and
robbed of my chosen
identity
without you i am a nobody
and people will no longer
know my name
without you i will have no place
to go without you i will be
without a house and a car
and all that i have will
be surrendered to you
..... i am happy, without you
i am still me. i am glad that all these
may finally be so unreal
that this is
just a very lousy poem from
me to you.
Be happy. I have decided
finally to take a break, and possibly
i will not be coming back.
p.s.
please read my note
under our marital bed.

I write these lines upon a sheet of paper
I write these lines upon a sheet of paper
That someone made from what was once a forest
Without much thought (as I suspect) for nature:
Does this not fill my heart with guilty sorrow?
Or is its lifeblood more akin to water
That runs in rivers under cloud and sunshine?
Why am I so affected by the sunshine?
All that I do - whether I read the paper,
Or, being thirsty, drink a glass of water,
Or walk amid the tall trees of the forest,
If there's no sun, my mind is fill'd with sorrow,
And if it shines, gladness is in my nature.
But gladness is not always in the nature
Of all terrestrial things, whether the sunshine
Dispels from my own mind some part of sorrow
For many men and creatures, as the paper
I read informs me, live within a forest
Of woe, and some have not a dropp of water.
One dropp of that mysterious liquid, water,
Would save a living animal, by nature,
Whether it dwelt in pasture or in forest,
However little it received of sunshine,
It cannot be exprest by lines on paper
How marv'llously that liquid quenches sorrow.
How much may we, the lucky living, sorrow,
For those who have been drown'd by cruel water,
The greater part of whom are not on paper
Recorded: but the cruelty of Nature
Alone knows. May their souls in heavenly sunshine
Be rested, and walk peaceful through that forest.
I think that life itself is like the forest,
A dark one, where one knows not whether sorrow
Will come, or else a glade o'erspread by sunshine,
That suddenly becomes a fall of water
That patters down in raindrops, in its nature.
Will those trees bloom or turn to crumpled paper?
I'll use no further paper from the forest:
My nature does not wish for you to sorrow,
But sit by flowing water in the sunshine.

Always Read Between The Lines...
pause between
some lines and read
the void
pause some more
and breathe
let the void simmer
let every empty space
sink deeper
find something of weight
and substance
like a word that you wish to expand
and live there for a while
sow the seed
and let it spread like a vine
that is how a good idea
is born
and then see the morning sun
bringing you
some strands of light

You And I Both
Was it you who spoke the words that things would happen but not to me
Oh things are gonna happen naturally
And taking your advice I'm looking on the bright side
And balancing the whole thing
But often times those words get tangled up in lines
And the bright lights turn to night
Until the dawn it brings
Another day to sing about the magic that was you and me
Cause you and I both loved
What you and I spoke of
And others just read of
Others only read of the love that I love
See I'm all about them words
Over numbers, unencumbered numbered words
Hundreds of pages, pages, pages forwards
More words then I had ever heard and I feel so alive
Cause you and I both loved
What you and I spoke of
And others just read of
And if you could see me now oh love love
Now you and I, you and I
Not so little you and I anymore
And with this silence brings a moral story
more importantly evolving is the glory of a boy
Cause you and I both loved what you and I spoke of
and others just read of and if you could see me now
well I'm almost finally out of
and it's okay if you have to go away
just remember the telephones are working on both ways
but if I never never hear them ring
if nothing else I'll think the bells inside
have finally found you someone else and that's okay
cause I'll remember everything you sang
Cause you and I both loved what you and I spoke of
and others just read of and if you could see me now
well I'm almost finally out of words.

Keep Moving
Hurry up
Dont slow down
Pick a time
Dont let hands pull you down
If youre waiting
Have it up
Move along
Say goodbye
Dont let words stay too long
If youre leaving
It read
We missed you
Between the lines
It said hold it high
With a smile
Speak out loud
With the mind of a child
If youre lucky
It read
We missed you
Between the lines
It said hurry up
We really must be going theres no time to delay
We have to leave our message because we cant stay
It really is important so remember take care
Please keep on moving cos theres nobody there
It read
We missed you
Between the lines it said
Weve waited for so long
But now its time t-t-to keep moving along
Here and there are the signs
On the road give way to stop and go
When youre moving
It read
We missed you
Between the lines it said
Weve waited for so long
But now its time to to to keep moving along
Keep moving, youve got to keep moving
Keep, keep, youve got to keep moving
To keep moving along

Between The Lines
Verse 1:
Ive been searching
Ive been thinking
Ive been searching so long
What I am looking for
Ive been hearing love will hit you
But everybodys wrong
Cause I just happen to notice
That certain look in your eye
Chorus:
Im reading between the lines
I didnt need no neon signs
To notice baby
I never before had you on my mind
But now I really do
Verse 2:
Nothing major ever happened
But its the greatest feeling Ive ever had
Strong emotions all have left me
Just a tenderness inside my heart
Just happened to notice a knowing smile
Chorus
(now I really do)
Just happened, I noticed
That certain look in your eyes
Im reading between the lines
I didnt need no neon signs
To notice baby
I never before had you on my mind
Im reading between the lines
I didnt need, didnt need no neon
To notice baby
I never before, never before
I knew it, I knew it
Bridge:
Started dreamin about you baby
Now I know just what Im feeling
Can it be you are my baby?
Never gonna let you go
Oh it took so long to feel it
(so very long to feel it)
But it was worth the waiting baby
Never gonna-never gonna let you go
(read between, read between the lines)
Didnt need no neon signs
Oh it took so long to feel it
(so very long to feel it)
But it was worth the waiting baby
(read between, read between the lines)
Didnt need, didnt need, didnt need no neon
(notice baby)
(read between, read between the lines)
I didnt need no neon signs
I knew it, I knew it
(read between, read between the lines)
Between the lines
(read between, read between the lines)
Im reading between the lines....
