Advice To The Newly Wed
let the pillars be far
do not fuse them like a rope
for the space
has to be respected
in there the air comes
to cool
the room and to hold the
house firmly
above the ground
the arms of the furniture
spread
for the tired man to sleep
the floors are ready to
embrace
the births of kids
outside the trees are stretching hands
reaching the sky
let there always be space
that lovers need

A Flow
when we are in bed
we become like two rivers
flowing with each other.
when my face gets too
near your face we become
like two mountains separated
by a moon rising from
a deep forest
my tongue becomes roots
and looks for the place
where water freely falls
on a ground that is
wet and soft
and you too become like me
flowing, wanting for an opening
wanting to fill a space
of our common emptiness
when we fuse like profuse
lights from opposite directions
on a very faint rainfall
we make a rainbow
between two cliffs
when we hold hands we are
like two creeks meeting and
then forming a channel
that fuse looking for the entrance
towards the sea
and when we start to kiss and
make love and letting go every
worry and anxiety that we have
when we are finished we feel
we have found the gateway to
the sea and there we lose ourselves
to the vastness of the oceans
to the deepest of its floors
and then we are complete.
we become entwined with the universe.

Sweet Home
My home is calling
And my heart; responding
The abode of pleasures and exhilaration
Where my mind prepares for some missions
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
Am not among those who cry
Seeking for hope, but it's dry
Am a free man
Facing difficulties which is so hard
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
Do i look like a convict?
The one who cries in the prison
Or like the bee that flies
And returns with joy to it hive
No! But no! I am not
I don't crave for the monastery, I'm not a monk
All i want is to return back home
To stay with folks but not alone
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
I traveled abroad
I had much fun
I visited the queen
She offered me a tea
With all these pleasures
Without doubt cos am so sure
The home holds lot in hand
Treasures, happiness, so much to count
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
I went to Brazil
I saw their windmills
I ate their food
Which made me cool
Delicious was it their fried fish
The one i ate which made me wishing
Then i remember the panla which we eat at home
So delicious and irresistible for the hungry throat
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
I journeyed to Kenya
I saw a tiger
Its eyes scared me
Its claws; waiting for a meal
I rode on an elephant
So huge; so large
I saw lot of things
The zoo, the views
But still i craved
For my home; for my space
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
I traveled all around the world
And everything seemed so bored
My eyes craved only for my beautiful home
My hands, my mouth and my little nose
They are all wishing to see
My house, my room, my folks in the street
All i have to do is go back home
To stay with folks and sleep on their foams
For wherever you are meant to be
Your home provides a beautiful space to sleep
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep.

Utter Space
I come from outer space at least I think I do
I need a change of pace thats why I walk with you
Its a change up-left-one-two
In outer space
Ive had a change of heart Im tired of being the best
I need another part to make an educated guess
And help me pass the test
In outer space
In outer space
In outer space
I come from outer space at least I think I do
I need another face I need one just like you
Its a change up-left-one-two
In outer space
In outer space
In outer space
The space

The Space Between Us
the space
between us is separated
by our own
self-made
pillars
in there
i breathe
and take my chances
of defining
all over again
what love is
what my
existence
means
in there
i sigh and stare
and look at you
from a distance
what you
are beyond
my intimate
touch
we agree
on it, the need for space
and traveling
inside ourselves
trying to figure
out
if we still belong
to each other's arms
if our kisses
still have the
warmth
the promise and the vow
that we must question
in order
to survive
love and its hazards
that only time
and space
and emptiness
can tell

What We Are Now To Both Ourselves
we are two blue clips of the clothesline
we cling to a rope
hold on, hold on
lest we fall to the ground
behind us is this blur
of trees and leaves and twigs
above us the clouds
heavy with rain
then the shower begins
hold on, hold on to the rope
lest we fall to the ground
dead and then be gone

We Are Afraid To Ever Tell This Story
we are here upon a page of a book
like ears, marking a restful minute since the eyes are aching,
we are in this room of a space filled in the order of words
systematically placed by a careful writer whose reputation is respected by all
his colleagues at the university,
we are wary, aching ears, rough skinned faces,
drooping eyes, lousy hands, hanging feet,
the chairs at the other northeastern part of this room are restless
but cannot speak what they feel
and they cannot be stopped
as they start running towards the balcony jumping into the ground floor
of this very silent nook
the table starts an exhibition of a circus act
tumbles like an acrobat and shouts to the wall and the ceiling that it can fly
like a winged fish that no one has ever seen
the ceiling fan loosens its neck and falls to the ground screaming
the pillow cases escape from their pillows saying it is all over now
the carpet rolls upon itself like a man rolling its sleeves now ready for a fistful of bouts
it is midnight and the light bulbs are blinking like an ambulance
there is an emergency but everyone in the house is asleep
and must not be disturbed
we are afraid we are witness to this unruly behavior of things that should not
move or scream or tumble or run or jump or brag about some imagined wings
we are very silent and the following morning when they all wake up
we keep our mouth shut afraid that they will call us crazy
or if not, paranoid because the whole night we guarded the house
and never for once close our eyes and taste the sweetness of sound sleep

Revisiting Our World Of Dreams
even in the room of my dreams
when i invited you in
you are till looking for that
squeaking bed
of long ago, when we were so young
and unrestrained
as the wind that gushes forth
from one window to another
i want to reinvent its softness
all its four legs
but the mistress of my sleep
dislikes it
what we have here are flat
uncatalogued floors
a room without walls
an empty space without stars

Lucky Me
(toby keith/ron reynolds)
I can leave my dirty laundry lyin anywhere
If I dont make my bed its alright, no one ever goes in there
I can fall asleep on the couch and leave the tv on
cause Ive got the whole place to myself
Now that all her things are gone
Lucky me, Ive got room to breathe
With her out of my way, Im not crowded anymore
And finally, Ive got all the space I need to walk the floor
Lucky me
Now Ive got last weeks dishes still piled up in the sink
And lots of time here on my hands to sit around and think
Im better off in this house alone, its a blessing in disguise
And her leavin came along, I know
Right at the perfect time
Lucky me, Ive got room to breathe
With her out of my way, Im not crowded anymore
And finally, Ive got all the space I need to walk the floor
Lucky me
That sure was a close call, someone could have been hurt
Yeah, she could be missin me but thats not what Ive heard and
Lucky me, Ive got room to breathe
With her out of my way, Im not crowded anymore
And finally, Ive got all the space I need to walk the floor
Lucky me
Lucky me, Ive got all the space I need
Lucky me, Ive got room to breathe
Lucky me

The Space Between
You cannot quit me so quickly
Is no hope in you for me
No corner ycould squeeze me
But Ive got all the time for you, love
The space between, the tears we cry
Is the laughter keeps us coming back for more
The space between, the wicked lies we tell
And hope to keep us safe from the pain
Will I hold you again?
These fickle, fuddled words confuse me
Like will it rain today?
We waste the hours with talking, talking
These twisted games were playing
Were strange allies
With warring hearts
What a wild-eyed beast you be
The space between, the wicked lies we tell
And hope to keep us safe from the pain
Will I hold you again?
Will I hold you...
Look at us spinning out in the madness of a rollercoaster
You know you went off like the devil in a church
In the middle of a crowded room
All we can do, my love
Is hope we dont take this ship down
The space between, where you smile and hide
Where youll find me if I get to go
The space between, the bullets in our fire fight
Is where Ill be hiding, waiting for you
The rain that falls splashed in your heart
Ran like sadness down the window into your room
The space between, our wicked lies
Is where we hope to keep safe from pain
Take my hand
cause were walking out of here
Oh, right out of here
Love is all we need dear
The space between, whats wrong and right
Is where youll find me hiding, waiting for you
The space between, your heart and mine
Is a space well fill with time
The space between...

Lovers Love
the sweet escape is evermore,
enreaching our body and mind.
to live, to love, to know, to care
lovers love- lovers love.
a kiss to the lips, a heart warming hug,
the sweet embrace of your warming space
to live, to love, to know, to care
lovers love-lovers love
to have, to hold, to love
lovers love- lovers love
dreaming is our minds
wanting is our minds,
we want a love,
so gentle yet so pure.
the only love we share together as one
here, now, forever.

Feeling The Coming Of Something Still Far But Sweeter
i do not wish
that you will consider my arms
as your prison cell
i do not have those arms now
i have fingers spreading like
wings
and i do not wish to hold you
with the sharpness of
my claws
i do not know what it tight anymore
everything i have
are loose
what i have in my hands
are no longer yours
i grope an empty room
feeling no walls
and floors
there is this first flight and i have no
fear

On The Surface Of Impenetrable Things
once when young
i played on the skill of my hands
to touch
what others dare not,
fire
and heat and cinders
and flints and
glints
and bubbling water
and sparkles of wine
fermenting
anger
age has given
a tray of pain
a glass of bitterness
a pail of failures
and the mind mellows down
too slowly like
a fruit ripening
gently
there are bottomless abysses
deep wells unreachable
by the longest rope
there are dark holes
and blunt corners
there are ocean floors
without names
and then the time has come
not for surrender
in the hopelessness of it all
it is the time for the quieting of
the rage
the stilling gesture of nature
that somehow
things at the right time open themselves
like arms wanting to embrace you
the secrets revealed
the understanding as wide as space
as deep as the edge of this
mysterious universe
always at the right time
always shall the proper season come
soon, soon....

Outta Space
Every day it's all the same no matter how I turn or twist my brain
I toss my body and scratch my f*ckin' mind
I bend and duck but I bounce 'gainst things all time
I'm left in this box I'm firmly and all stuck
I'm neatly tied and shelved I'm choked contained withheld
Outta space I'm growing outta space
I think I'm goin' crazy
Outta space I'm growing outta space
It's driving me crazy
Outta space I'm growing outta space
I think I'm goin' crazy
Outta space I'm growing outta space
I think I'm goin' out of my mind
I open my eyes wide to see some light
I take a breath and feel my box too tight
No matter how I press and push all day
That f*ckin' lid of mine won't give away
I'm left in this box...
Outta space...

Crooked Halo
Eyes to you, every hand I see. eyes to you, very heavy in my hands.
Eyes raised up to your hand, my arms diseased.
Eyes fall, eyes follow you, and Ill be,
Somethings not ready for...
My love for you. Ive been this space for you.
Our crooked halos and i, I fall to you again.
Some things i, some things Ive never been told.
Some things Ive never been told.
Your head to me, heavey as Im dropping down.
Son you raise it to me, as my feet, my feet they hit the ground.
All for you my hands are burning,
All for you my knees theyre hurting.
I push it down for, I push it down for, I push it down for,
Somethings not ready for...
My love to you. il be your, your space to you,
Your crooked halo, and I fall, and I fall to you again
Theres some things my friend, some things Ive never been told...
Some things Ive never been told.
Can you see that weve raced these lessons of our days,
Were better of here yeah, were better of dead.
These eyes follow you, my eyes follow you,
Do you remember in our days? , wont you let it go...
Can you see me my tired friend, theres something I need to tell you.
I guess I meant to give it to you a long, long road ago.
Its all for you my hands are beating,
Its all for you my mind, Ive needed you.
I fall to you again, and I fall to you again.
Theres somethings Ive never been told.
Theres somethings weve never shown.
Theres some lines Ive never told you.
Theres some times i, Ive never showed you.
Do you still need my time if I show it to you?
And do you still write it off every time I open to you?
I know its alright, I know its alright, I know its alright

One Evening
one evening because the walls of the room
are shrinking,
feeling as if i will be crushed by its four corners,
i finally decided to close the windows and open the
door to try to see if there are stars outside
and if the stars can relieve me from such a
claustrophobic impending death,
i step out into the open and sleep on the grass
to feel the coldness of the earth
i lay my body my arms stretched as far as my hands
can do in creating distance between my feet and my
center of gravity,
what i see is a dark sky and infinite space
i feel like a grain of sand spilling from a giant palm
i agree
i am insignificant
that room becomes nothing compared to the fear
of incomprehensible choices
an ocean of freedom
continental responsibility
i feel so drunk drinking too much space from a glass of my gaze
to this vast universe
nauseous still
i stand back to regain my composure
i go back inside the room
and then the wind howled
outside like an angry master
back to the comfort of my blanket
i promise myself a good sleep.

Sleep Here to arise some where!
Life is a dream
only a dream
Not full of cream
Only we scream,
In Joy or pain
All that is vain,
When we lose restrain
We take too much strain,
only to fall in pain!
Life is life all around,
No meaning ever found,
Only going round and round
From space to ground
Ground to space is another
round!
Life has several crew
anyone can any moment screw
Everyone is captain
Aim is to contain
By that restrain,
Love and life simply both teach and Train
Without any strain!
So many people sigh
And say
To hell with this world,
Look into their eyes,
They live in the hell
they are not well, For them nothing is well,
Only like that they tell,
Somewhere their feathered hat
of pride fell!
Life is a dream,
And a dream Only continued indefinitely,
It is dream in which
We feel the difference between
real and dream,
Reality is deep sleep,
And slept long before somewhere,
Arise here to sleep Someday,
Only to awaken in dream!
Death is that sleep,
From this house carries only to
give another house!

The Fuse
Down at the court house theyre ringin the flag down
Long black line of cars snakin slow through town
Red sheets snappin on the line
With this ring will you be mine
The fuse is burning
(shut out the lights)
The fuse is burning
(come on let me do you right)
Trees on fire with the first falls frost
Long black line in front of holy cross
Blood moon risin in a sky of black dust
Tell me baby who do you trust?
The fuse is burning
(shut out the lights)
The fuse is burning
(come on let me do you right)
Tires on the highway hissin somethings coming
You can feel the wires in the tree tops bummin
Devils on the horizon line
Your kiss and Im alive
A quiet afternoon, an empty house
On the edge of your bed you slip off your blouse
The room is burning with the noon sun
Your bittersweet taste on my tongue
The fuse is burning
(shut out the lights)
The fuse is burning
(come on let me do you right)

Tears, How Can I Refuse Your Tears?
as i was about to turn my back
from you
there was this silence that
never speaks
this void that keeps a
hurting space
you let out a cry
your mouth does not lie
your tongue keeps
the parting words
and the room had become as
lonely as ever
lovers parting
saying the last goodbye
after all those years
of sweet bonding
and then i unpacked my bag
and decided to be back in your arms
' i am not going away'
my hands caressed your hair
and then i wiped away your tears

Our House
Father wears his sunday best
Mothers tired she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs
Sisters sighing in her sleep
Brothers got a date to keep
He cant hang around
Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our ...
Our house it has a crowd
Theres always something happening
And its usually quite loud
Our mum shes so house-proud
Nothing ever slows her down
And a mess is not allowed
Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our ...
Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our ...
Something tells you that youve got to get away from it
Father gets up late for work
Mother has to iron his shirt
Then she sends the kids to school
Sees them off with a small kiss
Shes the one theyre going to miss
In lots of ways
Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our ...
I remember way back then when everything was true and when
We would have such a very good time such a fine time
Such a happy time
And I remember how wed play simply waste the day away
Then wed say nothing would come between us two dreamers
Father wears his sunday best
Mothers tired she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs
Sisters sighing in her sleep
Brothers got a date to keep
He cant hang around
Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our ...

Our house, that was where we used to sleep
Our house, in the middle of our street
