Aching Eyes
aching eyes
bleeding heart
trembling hands
a storm within
entangled hair
wind sweeping
pain in my ass
scarred skin
another wound
blues and bruises
sands of silence
tower of ivory
ebony spaces
starless skies
faded moon
shattered pieces
of self
hands that want
to grasp
every broken
word, stuttering
existence
my friend
what writer's block
are you talking?

Scarred for life
Scarred for life, no one would know
Broken inside, her self esteem so low
Scarred for life, inside & out
No one hears, her silence so loud
Scarred for life, blade against her skin
Pain feels so good, just another sin
Scarred for life, covered bruises
Fight after fight, her dad never loses
Scarred for life, so torn up inside
All these lies, too many tears she cried
Scarred for life, these will never heal
Knife in her back, pain is all she feels
Scarred for life, will this feeling ever fade
No friends left, only a blade
Scarred for life, she has to stay strong
Music's all she has, this story is her song.

A Heart Broken Into Pieces
piecing together the broken pieces
takes so much of my time
this heart is broken and the pieces
shattered pieces
are too tiny to be pieced again
i am a very impatient man
on love
on matter of the heart
i give up, i cannot piece the broken pieces again
too much pain
guess what? i have just thrown my heart away
look at me?
my eyes are calm, my body stable
pierce my skin with a needle
it does not hurt anymore
my eyes have no tears
my mouth does not tremble
my legs are tall and stable
heartless, i shall love no one this time.

Learning Well Life's Lesson The Real Way
a virtual heart
a second hand experience
of love and pain
and half-deaths from time to time
you call this learning
and you like it
because you stand at a certain distance
and tell yourself
that is enough for me
and then you
leave
and face another world out there
not feeling well
what you have just seen
bloodily
from a fence
and a thin wall
it is different when you bleed yourself
when the wound in your face
tells your eyes
this is it!
when the pain that seeps to your bones
tell your heart
this is it!
when the shattered pieces of your bones rattle and shout at you
this is it!
when the gaping skin sliced by a thin, sharp knife
tells you on the face
bloody hell! this is the pain!
and it is with you sticking on your palm
wherever you go and then you cover your mouth and
say, 'Oh, My God! '
this is learning the hardest way
when it is you that is broken
and not someone else
when it is not another person's story
that you read one night beside your soft bed
and you cry
when you learn to use the word 'empathy'
or 'sympathy'
or the justification of the word
'internalization' about other people's
tragedies, their own miseries and laments
their drowning in the raging sea
their head and hands cut and eaten by unidentifiable sharks
while you watch the show on tv
as you eat your pie and drink your orange juice
and you see
and feel the 'mess of their lives' just like another hit movie
oh, this will be different now,
it is you
do not think or utter death as another word of the dictionary,
it will be different now,
it is you who is dying,
not someone else on the other hospital bed by the other window
then you begin to learn, how is it, what is it,
and how painful is it really. It is you now, baby.

Conquest
Those eyes that set my fancy on a fire,
Those crispéd hairs that hold my heart in chains,
Those dainty hands which conquered my desire,
That wit which of my thoughts doth hold the reins:
Those eyes for clearness do the stars surpass,
Those hairs obscure the brightness of the sun,
Those hands more white than ever ivory was,
That wit even to the skies hath glory won.
O eyes that pierce our hearts without remorse!
O hands that conquer more than Caesar's force!
O wit that turns huge kingdoms upside down!
Then, Love, be judge, what heart may there withstand
Such eyes, such hair, such wit, and such a hand?

Parts of Hearts
My heart is falling apart
It's not strong, strong enough
It's been broken too, too many times
Been stitched back together
But it's coming, co-coming undone
Breaking again along the scar lines
Pieces, pieces falling into oblivion
My heart's falling, falling, falling apart
Fix me
Save me
My heart has fallen apart
Pieces scattered in the wind
My heart is bleeding and beating
And beating and beating
And bleeding for you
My heart's fallen for you
Fluttering, trembling, butterflies when you're near
But you've never even looked at me
Or my heart
My heart that's falling apart

In the Eyes of a Broken Heart

In the Eyes of a Broken Heart
Composed by Olive
I can feel the deep pain
Pain from loving someone
I can see the hurt of broken pieces
Bleeding and weak
In the eyes of a broken heart
You can see nothing but sorrow
Tears of loneliness
Cry for emptiness
Walking in the shadows of darkness
Feeling the cold breeze
In the eyes of broken heart
There is only one thing left
A broken world

Broken Chances
My Love,
I don't know how you're going to get this,
But it is my last word on this Earth.
Just what ever you do sit alone and read this.
I want you to be at the lake where you gave me my first kiss,
I want you to sit by the tree that held us, and read this.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were my love, my only one person who always made me smile,
You held my hand through so many things, so many firsts.
You were my light you were my smile
And you told me the three deadly words,
The words that always kill, but first make you smile.
I have sewed my mouth shut, so you will never see me smile.
I would melt at the sound of your voice,
I would just sit and listen just to know you were really there,
I would call when you weren't home, just to hear your voice.
My wish every day was to hear you say 'I love you',
To hear your voice.
I have glued my ears so I don't have to listen to your lies.
I remember the feeling of your hands running through my hair,
You'd weave your fingers through it to comfort me,
Sometimes I would act sad just to feel your fingers in my hair,
I would silently smile and melt in your arms.
I remember your fingers running through my blond hair.
I have cut my hair so I can never remember that feeling.
U can see you standing looking at me with your sparkling eyes,
I always see you,
I can never see past those deep eyes,
I can see you smile at me, see your hands reach for mine.
I can still see your eyes.
I have cut my eyes out so I can never again fall into your deceiving eyes.
You made my heart race with butterflies, with hope.
I gave you my heart to keep, you said you'd never break it,
You gave me the one thing i needed ti keep going; hope.
And I fell for the traps, I gave you EVERYTHING.
I ave you all the hope I held in my heart, my soul.
I have stabbed my heart, just so you can't shatter what's already broken.
You became my life, you became my love, my everything.
No matter what happened I still loved you,
And no matter what I tried to give you everything,
And you made me loose so much that I'm left with nothing,
And with my dying breath I give you what was all I had left, my everything.
I take my life to show you what love really means, that it's not the lie you told.
I may not be able to smile when you hold me,
I may not be able to hear your words even if their truth,
I may not be able to remember you soothing touch, or your warmth,
I mat not be able to see your eyes, or your reaching hands,
I may not be able to press my beating heart against your skin,
I may not be able to give you a second chance, for like my heart it is broken,
But After the pain and lies, I believe in what I felt for you,
And hope maybe someday you'll believe the same, and find beauty from pain
Even with nothing left to give you but my word, I breath my last breath for you.
I lay in silence to let you live, to give to you a broken second chance,
For I will always love you,
Be............
Raindrops
Raindrops are falling from my eyes
They fall from pain filled and blackened skies
They fall because of broken trust
They fall because of deceitful love
They fall because of broken promises
They fall because of sorrowness
They fall because of false hopes being shattered
They fall like pieces of my heart being scattered
They fall and create a deep blue stream
They fall after a blood curling scream
They fall because i am lost in the dark
They fall because you broke my heart
Raindrops are falling from my eyes
They fall from pain filled and blackened skies
A Kind Of Sorrow, A Secret Suffering
to lose you i know is one kind sorrow
for i claim a loss that i never had even once owned.
a play of words, and i know you do not understand
what each word means, what a punctuation is.
this heart that grieves for what it cannot even touch
with its fragile hands, its trembling fingers
for what i see is but a glimmer
a faint light, a shadow, a hush, a slight glimpse
no one knows what secret suffering is all about
(secret so to say, i give it a language of its own)
a heart that bleeds without drops of blood
a heart injured yet without the bruises and wound
i mix with the crowd just like what we do when we go malling.
i smile like the way all people smile. i always have a glimpse of you.
yet i know, i do not wait for anybody, or anything, this is simply
an impossible endeavor. Clouds that dissipate. Air that vanish.
a door that closes. a bus that leaves. a plane turning into a dot in space.
i look up actually for nothing. i pretend sometimes that there are stars where there are none but black clouds and tree tops.
i look down and only see suffering. Pebbles and gray sands.
i sleep without remembering my dreams. i wake up not thinking
about what to do specifically with my life. I have everything you say.
but since i do not have you, i am still nothing. I am simply arms emptied
of its embrace. I am hands groping with nothing but space.
it does not matter. i touch my chest and feel that i am strong.
i give up the gift of speech. I take in the gift of words written in utter silence.
The Hurricane
"We are the birds of the coming storm." — August Spies
The tide is out, the wind blows off the shore;
Bare burn the white sands in the scorching sun;
The sea complains, but its great voice is low.
Bitter thy woes, O People,
And the burden
Hardly to be borne!
Wearily grows, O People,
All the aching
Of thy pierced heart, bruised and torn!
But yet thy time is not,
And low thy moaning.
Desert thy sands!
Not yet is thy breath hot,
Vengefully blowing;
It wafts o'er lifted hands.
The tide has turned; the vane veers slowly round;
Slow clouds are sweeping o'er the blinding light;
White crests curl on the sea— its voice grows deep.
Angry thy heart, O People!
And its bleeding
Fire-tipped with rising hate!
Thy clasped hands part, O People,
For thy praying
Warmed not the desolate!
God did not hear thy moan:
Now it is swelling
To a great drowning cry;
A dark wind-cloud, a groan,
Now backward veering
From that deaf sky!
The tide flows in, the wind roars from the depths,
The whirled-White sand heaps with the foam-white waves;
Thundering the sea rolls o'er its shell-crunched wall!
Strong is thy rage, O People,
In its fury
Hurling thy tyrants down!
Thou metest wage, O People.
Very swiftly,
Now that thy hate is grown:
Thy time at last is come;
Thou heapest anguish,
Where thou thyself wert bare!
No longer to thy dumb.
God clasped and kneeling.
Thou answerest thine own prayer.
Broken Promises
Summer and smoke, diamonds and dust
Go where you will, do what you must
The promise was made, your word was enough
We had dreams, visions and plans
Into the night, out of our hands
Letting our passion fulfill our demands
I remember those songs on the radio
The jasmine, the wind in your hair
Does it seem like so long ago?
*broken promises
Is it written in stone that we wind up alone
Wo oh, broken promises
And a heart that recalls
When the promise was all that we had*
Into the dust, reckless we rode
Secret desire, talking in code
Bittersweet madness, the stories unfold
I remember those songs on the radio
The jasmine, the wind in your hair
And how it hurts to remember those
( * repeat)
Numbed Guts
the gut is full of
shattered pieces
those that make you
remember nails
the feel of thorns
and porcupines
time has a way of
numbing guts
and then pain is nothing
but recurrences
you have no name for it
but survival
you go on talking the paths
with nothing but
the moon above you
and the silence of the earth
Full Moon Behind The Broken Femur Of A Jack Pine
Full moon behind the broken femur of a jack pine
shattered by the wind on the ridge of the hill,
its pagoda of boughs, nothing but a lean-to now
for deer mice, fox, rabbit, groundhogs.
Old manuscripts of rock striated and stacked
by retreating glaciers
washing their hands of themselves.
The hill has never known a messiah
and the glaciers wrote for themselves.
The mast of the moon boat wrecked,
The rectal stake of Vlad the Impaler.
The axis of the world for the auto de fe
of some future heretic
with a penchant for the tragic.
No culpability in the event.
Hawk with an injured wing,
molar, stalagmite, Cinderella
sweeping up the pieces of a broken chandelier
so she won't cut her feet on the stars.
This tree talked to God.
This tree broke like an arrow
to make a truce with the wind.
Detonations of juniper and red ground willow,
splashes of tears and blood
going off like improvised explosive devices
in a mine-field covered in snow.
This tree was caught in a war-zone.
This tree is trying to flag a fighter back on deck.
This tree sailed out and met the French at Trafalgar.
This tree is a seasoned cannoneer
without a leg to stand on.
This tree is the capital A of a sacred alphabet.
The moon rises and shrinks from apricot
to blue-white toward zenith
and somehow metaphors
run off the back of the silence here
like water off a water bird
as a fractured pine
puts its finger up to my lips
and says shhhhhhh
there's nothing that can be said
that's going to make me whole again.
It's not me that you're trying to mend.
The wind shudders
with a bleak chill it doesn't recognize
like a power surge up its spine
as a cult of bats sweep the air helter skelter
like lunar butterflies with teeth.
The brutal clarity of broken things in the wild,
beautiful beyond compare
with anyone's reflexive remedies,
a wound more sublime
than the whole and the healed
among these groves that surround the hill
like devotees at Stonehenge
pouring blood libations
over the dolmen of a Druid
talking in tree language to the full moon
about things that haven't happened yet
and the things that inconceivably have.
Blood on your hands sister
You said you loved him told him you cared
Promised him forever together
Instead you broke his heart into countless pieces
You drew tears of blood from the Prince of hearts
Hurt his pride with your insolent words
Blood on your hands sister
Blood on your hands
I saw the pain in his eyes
I felt the bitter tears that he cried
Kicked a man when he was down
You left him a broken man
Blood on your hands sister
Blood on your hands
From a loving giving sensitive Prince amongst men
You took your pleasure and stifled his laughter
You took your fill and threw him upon the scrapheap
Blood on your hands sister
Blood on your hands
But his precious tears are wasted
Wasted on a dry barren heart like yours
For his heart is alive and flourishing
Whilst yours is dead and lifeless
He is the victor
Whilst you the loser
You may wash your hands of him
But the stains will never fade
Blood on your hands sister
Blood on your hands
The Bracelet of Grass
The opal heart of afternoon
Was clouding on to throbs of storm,
Ashen within the ardent west
The lips of thunder muttered harm,
And as a bubble like to break
Hung heaven's trembling amethyst,
When with the sedge-grass by the lake
I braceleted her wrist.
And when the ribbon grass was tied,
Sad with the happiness we planned,
Palm linked in palm we stood awhile
And watched the raindrops dot the sand;
Until the anger of the breeze
Chid all the lake's bright breathing down,
And ravished all the radiancies
From her deep eyes of brown.
We gazed from shelter on the storm,
And through out hearts swept ghostly pain
To see the shards of day sweep past,
Broken, and none might mend again.
Broken, that none shall ever mend;
Loosened, that none shall ever tie.
O the wind and the wind, will it never end?
O the sweeping past of the ruined sky!
Daughters
How can you say that I didn't care
When I planted a cornfield awave in your hair,
Gifted your eyes of a deep sea blue
That you might see me, and I might see you!
I tinted your skin with the blush of a rose
And I fashioned a tilt to the tip of your nose,
But your lips I moulded from sweet honey-dew
So that you could kiss me, and I kiss you!
Four dainty fingers on each of your hands
And one with a ridge for a wedding band,
While you lisped and you chattered on long through the day
While I smiled and I listened - what more can I say?
I held you sheltered from the hail and the rain
And I tucked you up in a counterpane,
I watched and I whispered as you fell asleep:
‘There's a rosebud blooming on the angel's cheek! '
But the storm-clouds broke, as the storm-clouds will,
And my love was shattered, and my heart stood still,
You were snatched away when I wasn't there…
Now, how can you say that I didn't care?
Let me warn you fathers, and fathers to be
That it doesn't all end as you'd like it to be,
For your little girl grown will tear you apart,
And will leave you aching, as she breaks your heart!
I Hope You Remember Me
My love for you
will last forever,
Your skin against mine,
as soft as a feather,
This love can last
threw any weather,
Your hands in mine,
Fingers tangled like twin,
Hands running threw hair,
Trying to make u aware,
Of how much I love you,
You and me together all night,
Holding you so very tight,
When I'm with you
Everything seems all right,
Your beauty shines
Like the brightest light,
You made my heart soar like a kite,
And fly like a bird,
My heart so high,
But when you said those Words my heart fell straight outta the sky,
Why did you have to lie,
Why did you have to make me
Sigh, cry, and want to die.
My heart hit the ground,
pieces flew all around.
You smashed it to dust,
And left me to rust.
As I laid there bleeding, watching her get smaller and smaller till no more,
I looked down at my shattered remains, I saw a piece of her heart, and a piece of mine missing,
So we could remember
the Times we spent kissing,
I yelled to her hoping she would hear,
As 1 more hot tear,
Rolled down my check
Good bye my angel,
and good bye forever.
ode to Karen C.
Ode to Karen C.
She sang love songs, of rainy days and Mondays,
Moon dust in your hair of gold and
Starlight in your eyes of blue—
Yet her broken heart just never knew.
Her relentless pursuit left her empty soul
Though love all abound her
And fans did scream for perfection,
In her eyes there just was no pot of gold.
Her life was a jigsaw-
But could never make all the pieces fit-
For her own self love did hide itself
In struggles of pain and guilt.
She sang this masquerade, you're the one I love, with angelic tones,
And no one could compare.
A silken voice so quelled in secrets
Suffering she just could not share.
Her aching heart no one ever knew,
It smiled and laughed yet cried real tears-
Yet when finally revealed so scarred
Letting it go was always the true fear.
God saw fit to take you at 32
Into his arms to further sing those melodies.
And those of us who love and miss you,
For yes we've only just begun a song for you.
Hemorrhage
Hemorrhage (In My Hands)"
memories are just where you laid them
drag the waters 'till the depths give up their dead
what did you expect to find?
was there something you left behind?
don't you remember anything i said when i said
don't fall away, and leave me to myself
don't fall away and leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands again
leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands
love lies bleeding
oh hold me now i feel contagious
am i the only place that you've left to go
she cries her life is like
some movie black and white
dead actors faking lines
over and over and over again she cries
don't fall away, and leave me to myself
dont fall away, and leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands again
leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands
love lies bleeding
and i wanted
you turned away
you don't remember, but i do
you never even tried
don't fall away and leave me to myself
don't fall away and leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands again
leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands
love lies bleeding
Mutual Agreement
i know that you are here
and you see me pondering upon each letter
folding spaces and
making sense out of nothing
perhaps
i will not disturb you with a
hi
i may oblige though
with a sigh
this is a mutual agreement of islands
there are no bridges in our separate silence
i like not to touch no one in the same manner
that i like none of you to touch
mine
we raise our hands to the sky
begging for more silence not for mercy
we have love
we have loved that much and were broken
but coping like
lizard's tails repairing the cuts
i am an island of light
i hole of silence
keep this medicine of distance
swallow the pill
to make us all well in this quest for
a peaceful independence
actually i like it this way now
i am not proceeding in any visible journey
my feet are not tied
neither my hands in chains
as i prefer sitting down on the sands
sipping what remains of
the fading light...
